Okay the success of Venom and Agatha All Along makes me so ridiculously happy. The fact that two so insanely queer pieces of media were some of Marvel’s biggest recent hits is insane and makes me feral. It’s so vindicating that no, wokeness is not ruining Marvel, their recent stuff just has had bad writing that happens to include a sorta queer subtext character. Agatha All Along is especially vindicating since, let’s be honest, recent Marvel shows have kinda sucked. But the fact that the show with the lowest budget ended up being so good and had an onscreen wlw kiss?? Iconic.

I wanna hope that their success will cue Marvel in that hey, maybe showing complex queer characters is a good thing. Doubt it, but a girl can dream.
