obsesseddd with the thought of kidnapped reader living in the cabin soap and ghost dragged her out to keep her in, being given colouring books and games as rewards for being the sweetest best behaved girl in the world, maybe they give her minecraft or lego’s as a way to distract her and keep her little mind busy while they work around you doing things around the house or fixing things, johnny lies on the sofa with you while you play, his face so close to yours asking you what your building and what each thing is and requesting a kiss every five seconds, making you giggle and blush because he just loves you so much and can’t get enough of you. he wants you in the house on the sofa playing games and colouring in all day every day for ever and ever because you’re his best sweetest most well behaved gorgeous girl. simon watches from wherever he’s standing working and is so proud of himself for finding something that is successfully distracting you enough to giggle and laugh and let soap kiss u all over ur face instead of seizing up or making an effort to get away. you’re settling in just fine and he couldn’t be more proud of you.

to me this is very much so giving DDlg which isn't really my thing, but I do loooove how soft and nice this ask is so I'm gonna play with that aspect of it :)

this is one of those asks that applies really well to a reader who... doesn't really mind being kidnapped. two big strong men want to squirrel her away, take care of her every need and desire? uh, yes please!

but they're still soooo scary :( because they're serial killers!!!! they killed all her friends - even if her friends did end up being really mean to her after all :( they're sweet to her but they also come home covered in gore, and it's very very difficult for her to not get scared when johnny spreads that gore over her face

i really enjoy the idea of this reader forcing herself to be soft and sweet. she's so so scared, tears streaked down her face, but she's got to smile and color with her crayons when johnny sets them down in front of her.

it's a type of sadism that would really work for johnny in particular, i think. he's watching you struggle through this drowning fear to be just what he needs. and you can't fully tell if he even knows you're scared (it's obvious, but you think you're a better liar than you actually are) so you try and cover it up as well as you can.

imagining you playing with legos, or jenga or smth, and being a little shaky and scared but trying to not show it. you glance up and just see ghost, looming in the shadows, blood not washed from his hands or face, just watching you with this deeply intense look. you flinch, lose knock over your little tower or lose jenga, and cry out a little at the loud noise. simon smirks at the reaction, and johnny coos real sad and sweet at you, leans forward to stroke your head.

and you sort of condition yourself to enjoy these things. you don't love coloring at first, but... but it is kinda fun. johnny and simon seem to love your drawings (they put it on a little heavy, you think) and their endless praise feels undeniably good. is it so bad to color something you think they'll like? no, of course not.

so you let yourself enjoy the little childish things - coloring, all the stuffed animals, building little lego castles - because it does feel relaxing.

and all they want from you is your softness, your sweetness. they just want you to be their sweet little baby girl who makes her drawings for them :( give you a Bear Johnny and a Bear Simon (secret little nanny cams) so they never have to really leave your side :( make meals for you and place you on the counter, swipe batter across your nose and watch you giggle :(

-Would you be surprised if I told you he listens to heavy metal? I think he likes seeing the limits on what people would listen to. Many people (including me lmao) can't handle heavy metal due to how loud it is. He finds it interesting that people make music like that.

-Listens to a lot of game soundtracks, usually instrumental. But he's up to listening to new things.

-The opposite of Cole, cannot handle heavy metal for the life of him. It distracts him too much and he hates that.

-Usually listens to the Minecraft soundtrack (specifically Mice on Venus) when he's trying to sleep. He can be called a nerd over and over yet never back down on his opinions. He likes the nostalgia and calm melody of the song, so of course he's gonna use it to conk out after a 6-hour game session.

-Listens to the most random songs. He doesn't even have a favorite genre.

-Anything with lyrics will do. He wants to drown out the noises of Patricia complaining about her diet.

-Probably listens to hold music outside of work. He's gotten so used to hearing it at work that he plays it at home by habit, then he wonders why he's on hold when he didn't have a call. He doesn't mind it, though. Well, it's not like he even notices most of the time.

*bangs head on desk* Minecraft fishing/ocean update/mod concept again like what I did here but more in-depth (pun not intended) because I got up at like 3am and it's like 4 when I'm writing this title thing and I have nothing to do for several hours.

Anyone who makes "lol Mojang are too lazy to implement this stuff" comments will be thrown into The Machine™ for a week and forced to watch a video about the reality of multiplatform game development. Also like this is a pure hypothetical and more of a "what I would do if I still made Minecraft mods and could do something this ambitious.

The basics:

Cooked fish are now called Smoked [type of fish].

Some fish species can only be caught based on what biome you're in.

There are new aquatic mobs that can't be caught, but some can drop items that can be eaten. This includes Squid, which have a chance of dropping Squid Rings or a Raw Tentacle.

The ocean is now stratified, and also a lot deeper than it already is. It's separated into the Surface (basically just how Minecraft's oceans currently are, complete with more biome diversity), Abyss (much darker and filled with bioluminescent mobs, as well as only containing one biome), and the Darkest Depths (rarely generates and is extremely deep; contains a new boss and lots of hostile aquatic mobs).

Iron now rusts (over four stages, similar to Copper oxidising but a lot slower) if submerged for long periods of time; Rusted Iron is easier to break, but otherwise the same. Iron Golems can also rust, which makes them slower, weaker and less durable. Rust can be removed by using a Brush.

There is now a designated "ocean" village type, which uses wooden walkways (similar to how regular villages look when they generate on water), and has buildings made out of modified boats. The Villager textures look somewhat piratey, with eyepatches and stripey bandannas and stuff. There are also aquatic Illagers that use a more cetacean-like Ravager variety, live in towers that are connected to the seafloor by an underwater mountain. Also there's a new Illager variety, the Drillager (which wears a bulky diving suit with a giant drill attached, which it uses to break through blocks and to charge at its targets yes, this is a Bioshock reference).

Fishing has been slightly overhauled; while you still just stick your rod in the water and wait, there's now a Fishing Table that can be used to change what bait you're using, which increase the chances of finding rarer biome-restricted fish (more on that further down), as well as a "salvage hook" item that vastly decreases the chance of catching a fish, but increases the chance of finding treasure like Saddles, Name Tags and Nautilus Shells.

There are now Diving Helmets, which offer almost no protection (being a glass bubble-helmet) and require 8 Glass Panes to craft, but allow the wearer to stay underwater forever. If they're crafted with Stained Glass, then the player's view will be tinted the appropriate colour.

More in-depth stuff:

Sharks exist now; they're based specifically on the mostly-harmless Nurse Shark, and - being based on an endangered species - drop no items on death. They also attack small fish mobs.

Underground lakes now contain Cavefish (not based on any specific species), which are blind and swim away from (most) noises, effectively working like a sneaky "tutorial" for the Deep Dark's mechanics.

The Darkest Depths contain the ruins of an unknown civilisation, and are protected by the Ancient Guardian, based on the boss of the same name from Minecraft Dungeons (but without the shard in the top of its head). Also a variant of the Biomine spawns near Ocean Monuments.

Skeleton Sharks spawn in all ocean biomes at night; they're hostile, and move relatively fast. When on land, they don't drown, but being undead mobs they do eventually burn in sunlight. They can also spawn being ridden by baby Drowned.

There are three new types of Coral: Elegance, which is cyan and glows; Pillar, which is green and has Log/Pillar/Basalt-style rotation; and Maze, which is orange and can form Chorus Plant-like "trees" that are topped with blocks of other Coral varieties.

Biome-specific mobs (note that there would probably be more but these are just the ones I could come up with)

Icy biomes contain Seals (neutral to players, but hostile to fish; drop nothing on death have a unique baby design), Snailfish (basic ambient fish), and a new mob called the Iceshell (hostile; a creature resembling a giant Portugese Man O' War, with the "sail" being a giant chunk of ice, and the tendrils replaced by several dangling crustacean-like limbs).

Swamps contain Piranhas (hostile to any mob with 25% health or less remaining) and Electric Eels (electrify the water in a 3x3 area around them when attacked).

Beaches contain Giant Crabs (passive; can be tamed with Seagrass or raw fish, and ridden as a semiaquatic mount yes this is a Bionicle reference; their colours vary depending on the specific Beach subtype, with regular Beaches having red crabs, Stony Shores having blue, and Snowy Beaches having white).

Warm Oceans contain Frogfish (passive; come in eight colours that match up with the five vanilla Coral varieties and the new ones. They don't swim, instead walking on the seafloor; when standing on the Coral variety that corresponds with their texture, they turn invisible), Sea Slugs (passive; inflict Poison on contact) and Eels (neutral; spawn at night and attack smaller fish).

In the Nether, there are now Firefish (passive; instead of being cooked, the player has to right click on a water-filled cauldron while holding one in order to make it safe to eat), Basalt Floats (passive, but dangerous; function like floating platforms the player can stand on to get across lava, but can descend unexpectedly), and Magmateeth (hostile; giant lava-sharks that can set the player on fire just by biting them).

Abyss mobs include Anglerfish (passive), Octopi (neutral; much larger than Squid), Glowmouths (hostile; pale, shark-like creatures with no eyes and glowing mouths), Comb Jellies (passive; deal damage on contact) and Giant Isopods (passive; run away from the player).

There is probably more I could write but I have very few ideas.

i can see it now. the opening is the exact same as the one that will come out, except when the generic early 2000s kids adventure movie gang find steve, he's actually steve?. everything else is animated hideously, but steve? is animated in beautiful, flowing 2d. a million korean animators will cry tears of blood making him.

he never speaks, but comic-style speech bubbles always appear around him. no words appear in them, but the protagonist gang understands him anyway. he leads them to an end portal and takes them to the end, where they all dip their heads into the bedrock end portal shrine.

at first nothing happens, but then an audio recording of kirkbride reciting the end poem (as both speakers) begins playing as all other noise is drowned out in watery sounds. at the end, they all raise their heads out of the portal, and one by one announce this is only a dream, and they are not the dreamer, and they cease to exist. a bunch of fingers emerge from the end portal and place command blocks, erasing all evidence of the protagonist gang's existence while wearing placards reading "society".

then steve? looks at the camera, shifting into the actual jack black. this is the only time in the entire movie steve? is jack black. he says "well, i bet you're wondering how i got here" and then the actual movie starts and it's a psychedelic 80s-style 2d animated fantasy

michael kirkbride will write this on vacation with a glass of bourbon, but a post will circulate on 4chan that says he actually wrote it while double-fisting crack cocaine cosplaying tiber septim dressed as snowflame the cocaine-powered supervillain. the proof of this will be a screenshot of a screenshot of UESP open in microsoft paint with "mk coke" written in bright green letters. everybody will believe this and it will air on national television.

I was falling asleep when my brain started listing out games that the HxH characters would enjoy playing so here we go



Leorio: Medical games like Surgeon Simulator and Bio inc.: Redemption or Strategy/Brain games. As a med student he would enjoy the learning aspect of medical games in regards to the fact that he would constantly critique them on their methods and accuracy, while trying to play them in the most professional way possible.

Kurapika: He would enjoy the story of a game more than its actual game play. His favorite stories are those where the player got wronged somehow and you are out to fix it, such as Mario, Genshin Impact, and Red Dead Redemption. Bonus points if the game ends up having a lot of fighting.

Gon: Minecraft, Stardew Valley, and any game that involves fishing and animals. He would enjoy the laid-back nature and the ability to progress as you wish, because he will be spending all day fishing and befriending the animals. A little bit of fighting monsters is also fun but doesn’t have to be a main part of the game. He wants to play a game his way, not be forced down a narrow path.

Ging: I was going to say he doesn't play games but I forgot there's an entire arc dedicated to a game that he made. He'd enjoy open world exploration games like Skyrim, Elden Ring, etc. (Minecraft and Genshin would also fall under this). He'd like a bit of story that you can choose to follow, but would be the kind of player that unlocks everything first and tries to figure out the lore of places like ruins and strange creatures without the game's story telling him directly first.

Pariston: Facebook mom games like Candy Crush. Anything that he can play at full volume and annoy the crap out of anyone in proximity. What's worse is that he's actually good at the games and casually makes sure everyone else knows too. If it's not that, then any meme game like Fortnight and Roblox where he can troll kids.

Hisoka: He'd play those dating adventure games that you get ads for all the time: Episode, The Arcana, Dream Daddy, Huniepop, you get the gist. The more nsfw the better.

Illumi: Neko Atsume. Tell me that man doesn't sit there and stare at this phone screen, making you think that he's playing something gorey or horror when in reality it's actually just collecting cats.

Alluka: She's the opposite of Illumi. You'd think that she'd sit there playing cute little dress-up games or whatever was available on girlsgogame, but no. She's sitting in the dark, moonlight filtering through the window, closet wide open, blanket wrapped around her shoulders as she plays FNAF, White Noise, and any kind of horror game she can get her hands on. No one knows because she never screams during a game. Not one has gotten her frightened yet.

Mureum: Civilization, Surviving Mars, Armello, any kind of strategy and colonization/taking over rule game that exists. The more complicated the game the better. He'd play them until he figured out the best way to win, and then he'd use that strategy until he is number 1 on the leaderboard (if it is a multi-player game). Then he'd never touch it again and move onto the next thing.

zedaph is unnerved by the quietness of his neighbours. sure he lives in a hole in a mountain and most noise is drowned out by the sound of falling pumpkins, numerous water streams, and the various pets he keeps safely dangling around his base. but every few days, without fail, there is some sort of deafening sound from the floating rocks just beyond his humble hill. for example, grian screeching at the self-appointed hotguy, or blowing something up, or... nope that's it. similarly, zedaph has managed to find comfort in the victorious yells coming from the perimeter. it was considerably hard to find solace given these sounds were a sign of doc finding a new way to break minecraft and conquer the gods. but zedaph managed. it sounded close enough to a battlecry that it gets his blood pumping and his brain working. even further down, zed sometimes catches the melodies of scarland as it closes for the day, hearing his friend's disemobied voice as he went to sleep (he has had one too many dreams of a certain hotguy, some good, some bad, some leaving him questioning a great many things). yet, zedaph has not heard a peep from his pals in a 5 days and 32 minutes.

on day 2 of not having heard a deafening shriek from grian, zed thought it best to keep a track of this irregularity. the only noise from beyond his rocky walls that he has heard in the last 5 days and 33 minutes were the soft, undulating hums emanating from below him. it had grown steadily louder for a few days, building up to a droning that abruptly quietened on day 4 followed by shattering. since then, zed has ventured out of his mountain, looking for the source of this frankly sinistrous sound in the depths of grian's new excavated area. the rift, as he dubbed it. zed was greeted by the familiar but slightly altered face of grumbot whose lights continued to blink in thought, awaiting his father's next question. despite searching every crevice and cave, zed could not find the source of the sound. only when he was inspecting the rift, whose layered glass had not changed, and the sturdy beams that continued to hold back the mounting rocks, did zedaph hear a voice other than his own for the first time in 5 days and 52 minutes. a metallic rumbling warned zedaph of the fate of all who dare use grumbot like a tool.

zedaph was nothing if not smart, so he flew straight out of the tartarus pit, past the lowering rocks of grian's base with doc's perimeter streaking past his peripheral vision.

can we all just talk about how cool and scary the death angels are in a quiet place? they were literally built to fucking hunt anything. they should really join the fbi- whats really scary is that they are strong just like the minecraft warden. im starting to thing the warden is just a buffed up death angel who was put underground. imagine the enderman looking and acting like this we would be fucked- the angel of death is able to crash in to cars like its nothing- this thing can climb like a fucking monkey and is fast enough to chase down cars- they truly act like the warden and endermen cus you can distract it with noise and possibly drown it with water. the death angel design single handedly instils fear into anyone like look at this bitch
