📝 + miles edgeworth uvu
instead of suki rambling u get ferre!! ( ft. meta time with @edgelord-dl6 )
send me “📝 + A Character” for me to go all out about the relationship between my muse and that character!!
DRIP, i have to include this gif for miles and suki, i know it was technically for one ask between them...but also i do think it more or less encapulates their relationship in the wright era:
( rose petals are included JFKLSDJF but also just the way mori-senpai is just as surprised as haruhi ....that screams edgeworth around suki....how he always ends up only noticing in mid act that he, in fact, is doing something with/for suki that HE THINKS would be out of character for him )
okay so to start, i get the sense that at least during the wright era, suki tends to take on more of a younger sister role, which doesn't actually surprise me considering that she is ( significantly ) younger than most of the her coworkers, having only been in the workforce for a few years...that and she has that appearance you know?? the one of looking more innocent and fragile than she actually is.
BUT whereas she has that younger sibling dynamic with most of her coworkers, i feel like she doesn't actually have that with edgeworth?? a big part of this, i feel comes from that edgeworth has never ONCE underestimated her. he knows she's more than competent at her job despite her weird habits and the paper thing...and it's for that reason, i think it allows them to have more an equal footing or at least the start of a comrades-in-arms kind of bond. not to say that the other co-workers don't think she's capable, but i just feel that because edgeworth, in particular, trusts her to speak up when she needs to, trusts her to go above and beyond with the work she's assigned, and also doesn't completely write her off as an airhead too busy doing origami to focus on her work... the trust edgeworth places in her, i think, instills a sense of not just confidence in suki BUT ALSO a sense of loyalty towards him ( but then, it's canonical that the lapd LIKES edgeworth bc he treats the ppl working for him very well!! suki is no exception there, but also those who show her kindness but also believe in her basically earns her undying loyalty 🥲 )
even if the both of them are particularly bad at small talk, i think the mutual awkwardness actually makes them both feel more comfortable with one another?? like yeah their interactions still end up being rather stilted even a few years of working together afterwards, but it's not like they make fun of each other for it or point it out....it's kinda like they're in the same boat personality wise if that makes any sense!!
( also, i’d like to add that!! i ADORE?? how suki somehow has taken a soft spot in edgeworth’s heart bc i get the sense drip’s interpretation of edgeworth is kind, but fair when it comes to the standards he sets for the ppl working for him....and yet he keeps some of suki’s origami in his office AND??? TREATS THEM SO GENTLY TOO 😭 i like to see the origami as an extension of suki in a way....her love language is receiving gifts first so when she gives someone an origami it’s kind of give a piece of herself with them to take along.... 🥲 )
although i think drippy is right about them being able relate to each other's experiences regardless of whether they actually have the full story from one another!! like, how they both lost their parents at a young age ( although isn't that almost everyone in aa JFKSDLJF *cries* ), both fall on working as a means of coping especially in the face of their phobias, AND...they both had a period of crisis of sorts where they really had to ask themselves who they are, what they stand for ( specifically within the law enforcement field which was getting more and more corrupt ), and what kind of person do they want to be moving forward. all of these small moments combined with similar character arcs really sets them up for a trusted comrade bond especially when the dark age of law starts picking up. by then they both know who they are and what they want...which makes them stable and more than capable of looking out not just for themselves, but also for each other. he’s the hand she metaphorically holds during these rough times...someone to be lonely with- lonely yet not quite alone.
( also gonna note...they both have pink their aesthetics...just different shades...hahaha almost like it reflects the similar arcs they undergo 😅 )
out of all her coworkers though, i will say edgeworth is probably the one that she comes to trust the most...after all, of all of the people she knows in the lapd, he’s the one who knew her from the beginning, but more importantly, he’s the one who stayed when the familiar faces began to dwindle....that and years of working together especially in a rough time has her, while not necessarily knowing him on a personal level ( yet?? ), he gives her a sense of ease at work. phoenix wright learned from m*ia f*ey to believe in your clients above all else, but i would say that if there is one person suki believes in, it’s miles edgeworth even as they transition from boss and subordinate to equals.
as for where they can go from here...honestly, i can’t really predict that but regardless of what the nature of their relationship ends up becoming there is one fact that’s gonna be consistent- miles edgeworth is a trusted comrade and suki believes in him :D
#edgelorddl6#but above all I believe in you sir ( edgeworth– edgelorddl6. )#( answered. )#( oh gosh i rambled again here JFKLSJDFLKSJ RIP... )#( again you let me write meta and i will never shut up )#( hope you enjoy tho drip!!....and hopefully this made sense....and feels more or less accurate too?? )
