I’ve been casually sketching things for a couple October prompts, including Cringetober, and. holy shit did not realize how fun self-insert characters could be. middle school me coped in other ways but where I’m at now? it’s so refreshing!

#yippee!#wahoo!#might post a little sketch page bc I’m having a nice time fjgfkf #meposting #art #self-insert #middle-school me: I don’t like myself so I’ll create characters who are similar to me but are still distinct/separate from me.#me now: I like/know myself and the issue is the environment I live in. let’s pretend I’m Not Here and with characters I like.#like. in middle school I’d imagine my characters going through life with me (bc I was kind of lonely) but now. I’m going to their house.#fictional worlds used to be so scary bc like. lots of them are gnarly. death and fighting and whatnot.#but now immediate short-term threat/crisis kind of sounds like a nice change of pace compared to constant systemic/mundane danger.#that one post about the invisible tigers
