I read the word 'angst' and instantly went on board- honestly Jaskier deserves to be angry with Geralt. Anyway Nyxlin drama has me thinking about them again and I had THOT.
So like fic where Nyxlin are mates and they have the same age gap that Amarantha and Tamlin did. And that. Fucks Tamlin up. I imagine he met Nyx at around an age Amarantha would’ve met Tamlin too, at idk a meeting amongst all the high lords. He makes eye contact with the child and the bond snaps into place. Tamlin feels aaaaalll kinda of fucked about that because, what now? Now a child will be compelled to be close to him because of a bond neither of them asked for. IMAGINE THE DRAMAAAAAA
Also thinking about Rhysand being so fucking pissed. Because when he was younger and loved and wanted Tamlin, a mating bond was something he wanted SO badly. Because then their fathers couldn’t stand between them. And he still maintained that hope even once their families were both dead. I do think it's unreasonable for them to expect Suvi to divest herself from the Citadel based solely on what Tefmet presented.
A scattering of incidents that Tefmet did not seem to have the full picture of, no absolute proof of coordinated efforts. To a conclave with pre-exisiting proclivities towards moving against the Citadel, it seems like this vote was a long time in the making.
Do I think there's something to what Tefmet was saying? Absolutely. But I don't think it's as damming as it was taken, and they could work towards following leads and proving out things before abandoning ship.

Of my 2% capacity to be attracted to anyone, my type is like 90% women, 5% pretty men and 5% men you would swear are super fucking manly, and never questioned being straight and cis, but are now suddenly *stressed* that they can't figure out why their attraction to me [fully socially interpreted as a woman and labelled that way up until relatively recently] feels incredibly fucking gay
