We want it all: Your most daringly fluffy ideas coming to life. Tooth-rotting love declarations, tropey pining, happy happy joy joy moments, the silliest schmoop that ever schmooped or the kind of filthy, sexy fluff that makes your heart skip a beat: Bring it on!

This year the fest runs from October 1st to October 31st and we have some exciting things in store for you: 

The Main Challenge - The Red Thread of Fluff Taking inspiration from Kinkalot's infamous Kink Link challenge, we provide you with three sets of choices: Choose a setting, add a trope and sprinkle it with details, or just let the Dice Maiden on our discord server choose for you. 

If you sign up, you challenge yourself to complete at least one work for The Red Thread of Fluff. Don’t worry, you’re not competing against each other. And nobody is stopping you from threading some more fluff together…

Prompts will be revealed on September 24th allowing you a bit of preparation time before the start of the fest! Note that posting will only be allowed from October 1st.

Surprise Bonus Challenges 

Not yet fluffy enough? We’ll present you with a surprise and fun bonus challenge each week, lovingly selected by your mods.

We’ll be running this fest on discord (join our server here), Livejournal and Tumblr. There will be an Ao3 collection to post to.

The fest is set up to be a laid-back, feel-good affair (much like the fluffy fanwork you’ll be producing!).

Sign-Up here is possible from September 17th to the end of the run (October 31st).

Fanwork Requirements:

At least one type of Fanworks: fic, fanart (including digital and moodboards),  podfic of an original work, videos for the Main Challenge (Red Thread of Fluff)

Minimum word count for fics: 500 words

No minimum requirements for the Bonus Challenges

All ratings and all pairings welcome

Work must be considered fluff (⅔ of a written story should be happy making ;-))

Merlin huffs as he pushes himself up the hill, the clear air chilling his cheeks and raising his arm hair from its bed. He glances behind him and frowns at the dark outline of the strange, burly man standing like a bouncer at the foot of the stairs; he has not moved since Merlin walked past. The hill isn’t even a real hill, but a strange man-made memorial to the docklands of London’s past, sticking out of its protected, woodland surroundings like an odd, green boil. As Merlin reaches its peak, a cobbled space dedicated to the raised, brass map of Victorian canals and streets at its centre, the sun trails its milky light through the low clouds hiding Canary Wharf’s shimmering skyscrapers. Its dulled beam flashes into his eyes and dapples them with furtive gold. He blinks it away, breath gone, and feels the echoing pulse of connection that the beauty of the world often inspires in its human inhabitants.
