Romance visual novel Seven Days coming to Switch in 2024 in Japan

PROTOTPYE will release LIFE0-developed romance visual novel Seven Days for Switch in 2024 in Japan, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.

Seven Days first launched for PC on September 29, 2017 in Japan, followed by PS Vita on July 5, 2018. An English-localized version was released by Fruitbat Factory for PC via Steam on December 13, 2019.

The Switch version will feature touchscreen and one-hand Joy-Con support, as well as the extra chapter “The Purple Envelope” and the extra CG added in the PS Vita. It is currently unknown whether it will feature English language support.

Seven Days With You: The Most Precious Memory in Our Lives (also known as Seven Days) is an all-ages occult mystery visual novel where all the heroines are dead.

Synopsis

A couple of days before the summer holiday starts… Kanzaki Shuuichi receives a “cursed Blu-ray disc” from one of his friends. Playing it at home, a female ghost emerges and possesses him. Sairenji Murasaki, Shuuichi’s childhood friend, expels the evil spirit with the exorcism skills taught by her father, who runs a time-honored Japanese Buddhist shrine. The ritual, however, is only partially successful, somehow behind leaving the physical human form of the female specter. She identifies herself as Mikanagi Chiyako, seemingly the girl who was murdered in the video recorded on the Blu-ray disc, and tells Shuuichi and Murasaki about her situation. “There are six other girls inside me.” Murasaki explains that a ghost is only allowed to exist for forty-nine days in this world, meaning the seven girls can each have seven days. Shuuichi then makes up his mind to assist all of them in spending their remaining days without any regrets and passing away in happiness. Shuuichi, however, does not realize what will happen to him later. He does not realize that he will have to see each of the seven girls depart from him.

Yasahiro Fukuhara had been on a hunting trip with his father and younger sister, Megumi, when a demon slaughtered their village. Because they were away at the time, they were the only survivors of the massacre. The rest of Yasahiro's siblings, his mother, and his grandparents were among the slaughter.

Eventually, Yasahiro caught wind of the Demon Slayer Corps. Wanting to prevent what happened to his family from happening to anyone else, he sought out a swordsman to train under, eventually finding one in the former Thunder Hashira -- the same one who would eventually become Zentisu's master.

While Yasahiro was able to master basic sword skills easily, he struggled with Thunder Breathing. No matter what he did, he was unable to do the technique properly. It frustrated him to no end. Things only got worse when he received word from Megumi that their father had fallen sick and passed away.

Yasahiro... spiraled a little bit. His swordsmanship became incredibly sloppy from frustration and grief to the point where he nearly hurt himself. As a result, he was given strict orders by his master to rest and get his shit together.

Didn't work out as expected as Yasahiro is... well, Yasahiro. So, he set out to try and take a short walk to clear his head. Unfortunately, the skies weren't so clear when he left. Before he realized it, Yasahiro got himself caught in a storm and got himself completely and totally... well, LOST with nothing but his sword and eventually a few bruises and cuts.

He must've been wandering around through the trees for days. Luck was still not on his side as he came across a demon that had smelled his blood. Without the proper sword or technique, Yasahiro was outmatched and nearly killed. Until a girl showed up from the shadows and took out the demon with a wisteria-laced knife she had been carrying.

As the girl took him back to her home, she berated him the entire time for being so damn STUPID. Yasahiro was just grateful to be alive.

The girl's parents tended to Yasahiro's injuries and allowed him to stay there with them while he recuperated. While there, he learned a bit about the girl and the family that he was staying with. The man of the house was a Demon Slayer, and his wife was a former Kunoichi. Unable to have children of their own, they adopted their daughter, whom they introduced as Naoko Maruyama. Naoko was the survivor of a massacre in her own right, only making it through with one other person due to wisteria hanging in their windows and door. It's unknown what happened to the other person. However, when her parents offered to train Naoko in the art of the sword, she agreed on the grounds that they allowed her to become a demon slayer.

So once Yasahiro's injuries healed up enough, he watched her train and eventually joined in with her to help his body recover. Her fighting style was... unique, to say the least, thanks to her mother's influence.

Once he recovered enough, he was given directions back to his master -- whom Naoko's father had thankfully contacted to tell him what happened -- and was sent on his way. As his luck would have it, another storm hit on his journey. This time, though, he was able to seek out shelter.

Yasahiro watched the storm, recalling what happened to land him in this situation in the first place. He sat outside on the veranda, under the awning's cover, watching the rain and the lightning... listening to the wind and the thunder. While out there, he tried to practice Thunder Breathing. Even after all he went through, he couldn't get it to work properly. But unlike before, he didn't get frustrated. Instead, he remembered what he learned from the family he stayed with. Overcome and adapt. Turn your weakness into strength.

So Yasahiro drew his sword and began to adapt, swinging his blade, and synchronizing his breathing with the rain and wind.

By the time he returned to his master, he had his breathing technique in the works: Storm Breathing.

A few more years went by, and by the time Yasahiro mastered his style, he had a kohai that looked up to him, another that disrespected him and was ready for Final Selection.

To say that he was scared upon arriving at Mount Fujikasane would be an understatement. He was shaking and terrified. He wasn't exactly sure if he was capable of surviving. That thought was nearly proven true when his sword was flung from his hand while locked in combat with a demon. He braced himself for death... only for the demon's head to be severed from behind.

It was Naoko, the same girl who had saved him years before. He thanked her profusely for coming to his aid again. Her response?

"How stupid do you have to be to let a demon nearly kill you twice?"

She was deadpan about it and it kind of caught Yasahiro off-guard. But still, he wanted to show his thanks to her for not only saving him just now but also for saving him before. Despite her protests, he proved his usefulness about a day or two later. By teaming up, they could not only take turns resting during the day just in case they were attacked, but could also cover the others' weaker points and blind spots in the fights against demons.

As a result, both Yasahiro Fukuhara and Naoko Maruyama survived Final Selection and became Demon Slayers.

It was only a few missions into their careers that they decided to start working and travelling together. To Yasahiro's surprise, it was Naoko who made the suggestion. She stated that the reason was the way they fought together in combat was much better and increased their rate of survival.

Yasahiro teased her a little after accepting the offer, believing that she actually made it because she was getting lonely. Naoko repeatedly denies this.

Fast forward to when the pair are both twenty years old. Yasahiro recieves word from the village his sister is currently living in that she is one of many girls that had gone missing recently. He pleads with Naoko to go and investigate. She agrees without hesitation.

Neither of them realizes that a new member of the Corps had already been dispatched. And this leads to them meeting Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado, as well as getting into the story proper.

A Small Selection of Minor Characters

Keisuke Aburaya (油屋 圭介) - A second year at Matsudaira High who's a part of the student trio's friend group. He considers himself a handsome ladykiller despite never scoring once at any point in his life. He got all buddy-buddy with Takeshi because he was scared of the rumors, but stuck around when he realized he actually wasn't that bad.

Naomi Umezawa (梅澤 直美) - Another second year and a friend of the trio. She's regarded among her peers as being especially beautiful, but her humble nature won't let her take such a grand compliment. She's perhaps a bit too humble, as she acts like even her greatest feats are nothing special. Ironically, she's actually quite honest and even a bit blunt to others. She and Megumi are both in the archery club.

Keisuke hit on her once, but the way she shot him down was apparently so scathing that he couldn't face her for an entire month. She doesn't even remember what she said to him.

Yuya Kito (鬼頭 雄哉) - An acquaintance of Naoto's from the kendo team. He's honestly kind of a wimp and isn't really cut out for the sport, but his family insisted. He'd really rather have his nose in a book though. He and Keisuke apparently go way back somehow, so he'll occasionally show up at practice.

Tomiko Miyaura (宮浦 富子) - A third year and the student council president of Matsudaira High School. Her family is very wealthy and they support the school financially. She fits the ojou-sama archetype to a T. The school is basically just training for when it's finally time to take over her father's company, which will definitely prove interesting considering how she runs things at Matsu. She looks like her American mother.

Kaguya Hisabayashi (久林 輝夜) - A shrine maiden at Kawakari Shrine who is secretly an operative from Heaven-Sent Army. She manages the torii gate in Mikkaichi, which enables travel between the worlds. Kazumi Maruyama is a friend of her sister Yoshiko, and her connections allowed her and Takahiro to sneak off to the Mortal World. Since then, Kaguya has become a close family friend to the Maruyamas. She has remarkable medical knowledge and is great with kids, so they come to her in lieu of an actual doctor.

Sho Kuroyanagi (黒柳 祥) - A young detective from the other side of Mikkaichi with trace amounts of spiritual powers. He is a third year at Jinsei, a prestigious private school. He and his father investigate supernatural and paranormal incidents that others would brush off as nonsense, such as the mysterious disappearance of Matsudaira's student council president. His power is too weak to differentiate sources of spiritual energy, so he mistakenly pins the crime on Naoto. After everything is sorted out (with a fight), they work together to track down the Matsu Queen.

Ah, my first time writing in detail about the Love Live! OCs! I went a bit crazy here, I’m sorry it’s so long! I hope you like it, though! ♪ヾ(*‘∀’*)ﾉ(Tagging @novanoah​ since technically I include your babies as well ( ゝ◡╹)ノ♥)

Akina Kamenashi

Miyuki HondaAkina and Miyuki met on the first day of school, where Akina was hit by Miyuki’s basketball when entering the school’s courtyard for the first time. Miyuki, horrified, takes her to the nurse and the two become friends there. Akina thinks Miyuki is the perfect person to help with the exercise that comes with being a school idol, so she suggests that she should be the head practice coach.

Erika MineAkina and Miyuki meet Erika when she’s doing vocal warm ups for her drama club performance, and Akina tells her that she has a lovely voice. Erika is a bit embarrassed that she wasn’t alone like she thought, but is flattered nonetheless. She claims that the moment she met Akina and Miyuki was like being in a shoujo manga due to their princeliness.

Hisa ChibaHisa approached Akina when she was handing out flyers for the school idol club she was trying to get people interested in. She took a flyer and left so quickly that Akina’s first impression of her was a blur of cherry red hair. She appreciates her enthusiasm, though!

Tsuki ShimizuThe two first meet when Hisa approaches Akina to join her school idol group, to which Akina welcomes them both with open arms. Akina values Tsuki’s accessory making skills highly just like Hisa does. With Hisa’s help, she was able to reassure Tsuki that she belongs in the school idol club and makes sure that she’s comfortable.

Mikami TsuchiuraAkina meets Mikami when she sees her dancing on the roof of the school and instantly visualizes the school idol club using her style of choreography. She then approaches her and asks if she’s ever considered being a school idol. Akina gets shot down a few times, but once Mikami finds out that Iko has joined the group, her opinion changes.

Megumi MaruyamaAkina meets Megumi due to the fact that Megumi is the student council president and needs to approve their application to become the school idol club. She’s a bit intimidated at first, but when Megumi joins the group, she realizes just how fun she is to be around!

Kaede KuragiSince Kaede is one of the earlier members of the group, Akina got to know her well and appreciates her motherly nature. Akina would often find Kaede’s paper cranes lying around the club room and keep some of them because she loves them so much.

Iko NatsukawaAkina met Iko through Kaede, who insisted that Iko was meant to be a school idol but is too shy to admit it. Akina has a lot of respect for Iko and is grateful for Iko’s fatherly advice that she often gives to the group when they’re feeling discouraged.

Hisa Chiba

Akina KamenashiHisa was one of the first people interested in joining Akina’s group. Immediately after taking a flyer for the school idol club, she ran off to find Tsuki and tell her about it.

Miyuki HondaHisa met Miyuki through the school idol club, but didn’t really get to know her until Iko pointed out how they both like to write poetry. They then got to write song lyrics together and collaborated well, even though their personalities are very different. Hisa’s optimism reminds Miyuki of Akina.

Erika MineOn the first day of school when trying to chase down Mikami so they could be friends, Erika’s dogs actually pounce on Hisa and immobilize her because they could smell the meat in her lunch. This was how the two met, and while Erika was apologetic about the incident, Hisa didn’t really have any complaints about having a bunch of cute dogs on top of her.

Tsuki ShimizuHisa first became friends with Tsuki when they were small children; Tsuki was extremely nervous for her first day of school, and sat alone on the playground until Hisa came up to her and complimented her on her earrings. Their friendship came naturally after their initial conversation, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Hisa’s constant encouragement has helped Tsuki come out of her shell and raise her self-esteem.

Mikami TsuchiuraWhen Mikami moved in next door to Hisa, Mikami was not keen on being Hisa’s friend at first. This didn’t stop Hisa from trying, and on the first day of school she insists that she should walk with her and Tsuki to school together. This is how she ends up chasing Mikami to school and being attacked by Erika’s dogs.

Megumi MaruyamaWhen Hisa first met Megumi, she thought her notes on her arms were tattoos. Once that misunderstanding was cleared up and they got to know each other more, she often asks Megumi to help her with her math homework since she has trouble budgeting her time between school and being a school idol at times.

Kaede KuragiThe two naturally became friends since Kaede, Tsuki, and Hisa were the first three members to join the school idol group other than the second years. Hisa loves it when Kaede arranges flowers in the club room.

Iko NatsukawaHisa met Iko through the school idol group and admires her a lot. While Iko can be a bit intimidating when it comes to first impressions, Hisa was one of the few who wasn’t fazed by her aloof exterior.

Akina KamenashiIko was introduced to Akina when Kaede suggested that she join the school idol club. Iko was surprised that she could be a school idol because she didn’t think she was young or cute enough, but Akina reassures her that beauty comes in different forms and that all forms of beauty are welcome in the school idol club. Iko, moved to tears, agrees to join the club with a newfound respect for Akina.

Miyuki HondaWhile at first Iko was oblivious to Miyuki’s admiration for her, once she joined the school idol club it became more obvious. Iko is touched by this, and joins the basketball club so they can practice together after school.

Erika MineErika gives Iko a strawberry hair pin soon after she joins the school idol club because she overheard Kaede talking about how much Iko loves them, which pretty much guaranteed them being friends. Erika heard a lot about Iko from Miyuki already, so she’s interested to see what she’s like.

Hisa ChibaIko didn’t think much of Hisa at first until she read some of her poetry; she was one of the first to suggest that Hisa should help Miyuki write some of the lyrics to their songs.

Tsuki ShimizuBecause Tsuki has trouble in Physical Education, Iko offers to help train her outside of practice since Tsuki has trouble keeping up at first. The two get to know each other better, and Tsuki gets in proper shape!

Mikami TsuchiuraIko knew Mikami from when she played against her overseas; when they first met, Mikami announced to her that Iko was going to be her rival. Their rivalry has mostly consisted of Mikami trying to get Iko’s attention, but Iko still appreciates Mikami’s dedication and often plays against her for fun. She assures her that she will improve and be as good as her when she’s a third year, or maybe even better.

Megumi MaruyamaIko met Megumi when they were second years since they were both on the student council. Iko was only around for a short amount of time during her second year before she had to leave, but they still managed to become good friends. Iko enjoyed working with Megumi, and thinks that she’s a fitting student council president.

Kaede KuragiIko met Kaede when they were first years, and was immediately fond of her since she was easy for her to be around. She makes Iko feel relaxed. Iko was overjoyed to reunite with her  and Megumi once she returned from overseas.

Animation Figures that I Think Should Be Considered for a Winsor McCay Award

Exactly what it says on the title. For those who don’t know, it’s a lifetime award given by the Annie Awards, which are high-honor accolades dedicated to celebrating excellence in animation. In case of this, the award is for an individual’s lifetime / career contributions to the medium of animation.   Liber Entertainment's original CUE! mobile game launched for iOS and Android devices in Japan on October 25, 2019. The game lets players take charge of four teams of four aspiring seiyuu. The characters in the game are voiced by fresh faces in the industry themselves, and the teams they're divided into are Flower, Bird, Moon, and Wind. 

    Here are a few promos showcasing the game prior to its original launch, with each featuring the same voice talent as the anime.

CUE!: due nuovi video ci presentano parte del cast della serie

Le giovani doppiatrici di Liber Entertainment sbarcheranno in tv dal 7 gennaio.

Pubblicati due nuovi promo di “CUE!”, che ci presentano in video otto delle sedici aspiranti doppiatrici, protagoniste della serie animata, che debutterà sulle tv giapponesi il 7 gennaio 2022. 

L’anime si ispira all’omonimo videogame, lanciato per dispositivi mobili nell’ottobre 2019 da Liber Entertainment. 

Questo primo video ci presenta il gruppo “Wind”, formato da:

La sceneggiatura sta venendo curata da Tatsuhiko Urahata (Hinako Note, Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers), mentre il design dei personaggi è invece adattato da Motohiro Taniguchi (My Sweet Tyrant, Re:Stage! Dream Days).

Congratulations to those who made it onto the roster! We are looking forward to having another wild adventure in the World Order games. A mod will be contacting you via discord shortly with a link into the server. We won’t bite, promise.

We mods also wanted to thank those who took the time to apply. Even if you didn’t make the roster, we have to say that reading all of these apps was an absolute joy. It can be said that this was one of the toughest rosters to build as we were impressed by a lot of the applications! However in the end, as usual, it came down to a balance of personalities -- something which we feel makes for an interesting game!!

We will not be offering application reviews as we are a busy bunch (and we respectfully request that nobody come to any of us with questions about roster decisions), but thank you again for applying and we hope that you will stick around to see what happens!
