A/n; hi! Thank you for this request, i enjoyed writing it. The fact that i wrote this at work and had to explain my co-worker that im a fanfic author… he was shooketh lol Sorry for any typos cus im writing this on my phone.

It was a tiring day for you. Working at the FBI Quarters as an archive manager had its advantages and vice versa. You get to stay in the silent office of yours and enjoy the peace but every once in a while, a jerk who used his juice to get into the FBI would mess things up and you had to pick up the pieces, reorganize and relable the documents etc. Today you had to spend extra 2 hours to finish your job and call it a day. What made you relaxed as soon as you opened the door of your shared house with your partner was that the smell of your favorite food hitting your nostrils. Automatically made you smile to yourself. You may have mentioned the hectic situation at work via text to your boyfriend Hanninal.

Dr. Hanninal Lecter was a successful man whose profession was a psychiatrist but he also sometimes worked for Jack Crawford to solve murders by using his field’s tricks. To the outside he was a cold and collective man who seemed like he had neither the tolerance nor the capacity to love and be loved.

The first time you met was a disaster. You were carrying folders to Jack’s office for a murder case and you couldn’t see who was in front of you and you collided. Like waves to a shore, wild and unbidden.

You apologized for spilling the coffee he was holding seconds ago, you suggested to take him for a coffee and to your surprise he said yes.

He had a reputation in the FBI, behind his back they called him Lord StoneHeart. Well, “Lord” because of his manners and “Stone Heart” because no one saw him smile or mention a potential girlfriend or a wife. He was a complete mystery and you were the only one who get to see his true face. A dangerously protective man who would do anything for his lover, that would be you.

After that coffee date you and him kept being in the same place in the right time, parks, restaurants, shops etc. You had a feeling that he was stalking you and the mere idea of a respectable man such as Dr. Hannibal Lecter stalking you sent shivers down your spine,well, it got you wet every single time.

Your relationship progressed even more after you moved in with him, you’ve been together for 2 years and things were going smoothly, most of the time, you closed the door rather harshly and the sound echoed in the halls of your home. You could hear Hannibal’s Hildegard Von Bingen playlist coming from the kitchen so you followed the divine voice.

He was there, white apron tied to his waist, he must’ve left work early. He had comfortable clothes but he still looked elegant, he had a charming demeanour of a royal prince.

He moved away from the counter to face you, “Hello darling.” His genuine smile made your heart jump.

He quickly came to give you a gentle kiss on your forehead and took your coat and bag. “A warm bath with your favorite candles waiting for you upstairs. When you’re finished we’ll have dinner.” If you told your co-workers about how soft and sub he can be they would laugh at your face.

“Thank you.”

After the long bath you wore your pjs and joined him for dinner, he knew exactly how to cook your fav food and also how to serve it.

When you were done with dinner he did the dishes and then gave your feet a long massage. You didn’t notice how sore your feet were untill his big hands worked their magic. “Do you want me to talk to Jack, and have him do something about this man?”

His question had a dark tone, a hint, “No, I’m a big girl. I can handle it. Thank you though.” The fact that he was ready to make that jerk disappear or pay for his recklesness made you feel things.

You wanted to change the subject, “Wanna take me upstairs and show me a good time?”

He smirked at your boldness, “As you wish my love.”

“Darling, you need to go take a rest,” Arthur says in a low voice.

You ignore him as you scrub at his dirty clothing harder. He huffs but stays standing right beside you. You can tell he’s going to stay there until you rest but you feel like you need to move. Your anxiety is, after all, getting to you.

You are after all pregnant with John Marston’s baby. Only a select few people, one being Grimshaw, are aware or have suspicions since you are also hiding that fact. You are so terrified after hearing how he dealt with his ex-partner Abigail that you begged Arthur to lend you some of his clothing in an attempt to hide the bump.

Reluctantly, he has agreed. Only because he has the biggest soft spot for you and he’s the first person you told after you found out. You were going to tell John much sooner but then Dutch sent him and Hosea out on a mission that has taken far too long. It’s done a good job so far, the bump was hidden behind the large fabric, but it does look like you’ve gained a bit of weight. John Marston is no fool and you know he’ll comment on something about it.

“You are going to be just fine. John may be an idiot but he is an absolute fool for you. Any man in their right mind would be,” He admits with a small smile.

You glance up at the comforting words and stop your scrubbing. The hormones you are dealing with currently make you want to sob hysterically from his sweet words.

“You mean that Arthur Morgan?” You ask your voice already shaking.

He lets out a chuckle from knowing the drill. He opens up his arms and you immediately drop the clothing in the bucket of water to stand up and hug the man with all of your might. He answers your question.

“Damn right I mean it. If John so much as gives ya the wrong look for putting ya in this situation I will beat that little boy’s ass,” He states making you sniffle more as you try and stop your crying.

He allows you to pull away on your own time and when you do you stare up at him with those big grateful eyes that would make any man swoon over. Your smile makes his heartthrob and your words, despite feeling like an arrow pierced his heart, still make him incredibly happy.

“Thank you so much, Arthur. You certainly know how to make me feel better. You are a good man Arthur Morgan,” You state.

He can only smile and nod in return before a cough interrupts the both of you. You glance over your shoulder to see an exhausted John Marston. He eyes Arthur and you until you make the first move. You throw your arms around the man and are crying once more.

“John Marston, I missed you so much. Don’t ever agree on another job that long ever again,” You say your crying very prominent within your voice.

John chuckles at this odd welcome but pats your back. This time Arthur coughs. You and John pull away slightly and Arthur stares at John. “I reckon the both of you need to have a talk… Come get me if ya need to (Name),” He states putting his hand on your shoulder before walking off to go greet Hosea.

John raises an eyebrow and his hand cups your face to make you stare at him. “We need to talk? ‘Bout what? Wait… Are those Arthur’s clothes?”

You don’t say a word as you grab his much larger hand and pull him to your tent that Grimshaw so graciously got for you. A small cot is in the middle of it and you make him take a seat. His silence would’ve been nerving if you weren’t so used to it.

“Ah… Yes, I’m wearing Arthur’s clothes but only because I’ve been hiding something from most people here. I… I didn’t get the chance to tell you before your mission and I wasn’t planning on telling you any time soon but… I love you, John Marston,” You state as you hesitantly lift the larger shirt to reveal the tiny baby bump.

It takes a moment for the male to process what he sees. His eyes widen and he looks up at you his gaze suddenly hopeful. His hands immediately grab you by the waist and pull you close to him as he stands up.

“You’re pregnant? It’s mine?”

You laugh. “Of course it’s yours, John.”

He falters and his gaze falls just a tad. “You weren’t going to tell me? Why?”

“I got scared, John. After I heard what happened with Abigail when Jack was born… I couldn’t bear the thought…”

John realizes that Arthur was reassuring you of the worst-case scenario. Guilt floods through him. You finally drop the shirt and John takes both your hands in his. He looks at the ground as he tries to form the correct words. He’s not much for words but he feels the need to push away all of your doubts about him.

“Look (Name), I would never ever even dream of rejecting this. Abigail? She was a mess. Jack wasn’t even mine but she kept pushing him onto me. She finally gave up on trying to trick me. What I did to her though? It was not called for. It was messed up. I treated her pretty awful but I would never do that for you. Hell, if I ever think I might I’ll go ask Arthur to beat me up myself,” He admits finally looking you in the eye.

You smile and feel the waterworks coming yet again. The fool continues making you finally cry. “I love you (Name). What we have, I never want to lose. Knowing this kid is mine, I’m happy.”

You hiccup and he smiles as he brings you into a tight hug. The male gives you a few moments kissing the top of your head every once in a while until you pull away. When you do you reach for his hands once more.

“Thank you, John. I love you too. Do you want to officially announce this?” You ask softly.

John is the one that announces the pregnancy to the whole gang. A celebration was held to which John stuck with you the whole night. It was quite the opposite of when Abigail announced her pregnancy to which eased Arthur’s mind greatly.

He’s at peace knowing that John is happy with this. Your happiness with John means the world to Arthur and if John ever does anything to hurt you, Arthur will keep his promise to you.

 Bonus Headcanons:

There are just so many ways John could react to this

I think if he liked the reader and she wasn’t like Abigail he would act the way he did in the one-shot

However, he will also be so awkward and in shock the entire pregnancy. He’ll be in awe since you really are his partner and the baby is really his since you gave him no reason to doubt you

If he did doubt you Arthur, Hosea, and Grimshaw would beat him up in your defense

In the one-shot, John isn’t stupid and is fully aware of Arthur’s sweet spot for you, however, he is happy that Arthur feels that way because if anything happens to him, he knows that Arthur will take care of you

He won’t be clingy but he’ll keep an eye on you and make sure you have everything you need and whatnot

Basically, John will try and be the best he can be but his anxiety will sometimes take over to which only you or Arthur can kick him out of

He will occasionally go to Arthur or Hosea if he needs to talk to someone or go out for a drink

First off, I LOVE the Persephone, Calla and Maura POVs we got as the prologue — I liked getting into their heads and seeing what they were thinking for once (especially Persephone)

Blue and Gansey are being so cute and so just UGH. Honestly. Like omg I want them to kiss but at the same time they really shouldn’t because I don’t want Gansey to die, you know?

UH. RONAN?? He always surprises one way or the other. He’s surprised me TWICE already. First with his supposed crush on Adam??? (I say supposed because technically it isn’t confirmed although Adam has pointed it out and i am PRAYING that it’s true because PLEASE HE NEEDS LOVE LIKE UGH) and second with the fact that he DREAMT MATTHEW??? LIKE WHAAAAAAT. No WONDER HE LOOKS LIKE HIS MUM SO MUCH??? HOLY SHITTT.

Adam’s POV in general is a delight to read. I love how Persephone gave him her tarot cards — just UGH. THEIR STUDENT-MENTOR THING IS SO REALL. He’s also so detached in his POVs??? Like I don’t know how to explain it but after the scrying he’s been more otherworldly (and I know that’s the point and I honestly love that) and Cabeswater in general, like his connection to it??? And then he envies Ronan because he can just ask Cabeswater what he wants and the place will give it to him without needing to scare him half to death??? UGHHHHHH.

Oh also. First day of school and GUESS WHO THE NEW LATIN TEACHER IS??? (I mean you already know but still) COLIN GREENMANTLE??? I actually dropped my PHONE WHEN HE SAID HIS NAME. WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE LATIN TEACHERS??? His wife/spouse/partner/whatever is cool though. I like her in the way I like villainous characters — although she isn’t really evil.

Oh! Gansey and Blue calling each other at night is so freakin cute — and Blue just asks him to talk about the ley line or history or anything and she listens and then they make jokes about the congress being hell and I’m just smiling because what the hell that’s so cute.

You were being extremely picky over what potions you bought today. The one thing you knew for sure was that a credible market was the only type you'd trust. And after running through half a dozen alleys of different Beyondians trying to sell you things you just didn't need, you just gave up and tried a convenience store like place.

Thankfully, the clerk was able to assure you it was safe for huma consumption. And you were on your way shortly after.

Now all you had to do was convince Raju this would be safe.

Raju held the small bottle up to the light, swilling the contents as if he were going to appraise it for a museum.

"It's a potion so you can fully fit inside me tonight."

Raju dropped the bottle. Thankfully it was made of plastic, or you'd be pissed.

"Hello? Earth to Raju. Come in Raju."

"A potion for that..." Raju finally started saying his thoughts out loud, "Why on Earth would you go and look for a thing like that?"

"Uh... because." You raised an eyebrow, "What? Am I not supposed to want to pleasure my partner completely?"

Raju felt like the room was spinning, "What are you talking about? You satisfy my sexual desires completely already. You don't need a potion for that."

You kept forgetting he had no filter. And timing the potion just right would be a little tricky, but the whole bottle would last an hour at least. Of course, if you wanted to, smaller sips could make it last longer at one hour a sip. But that would still be very tricky to pull off.

Despite Raju's protesting, you took half the bottle and set a timer for one hour. Coaxing Raju to be a little rougher than normal, assuring him you could take it.

He pushed in very slowly, part of him doubted that the potion would even work. The other part was definitely excited to be a bit closer with you. His movements were very slow and deliberate, testing if the potion was taking effect.

And making sure you genuinely enjoyed this... and that you weren't getting hurt in the process.

Those deep moans were hard to argue with, however, as you urged Raju to keep going. It all felt so weird but in a good way. You could feel all of Raju thrusting carefully inside you. Though you weren't physically stretched out, it was some kind of vague magic effect that just did weird things.

It still felt so good. Especially once Raju caved to your request for him to be a little rough.

You didn't know what would break first, you or the bed. But Raju had given in to his own lustful desires completely as if he were trying to bang a demon out of you. Like some bizarro exorcism.

Loud moans, bed springs and baseboards creaking, then your phone went off loudly. That five-minute warning to take more of the potion or risk serious damage.

Raju panicked a bit in trying to unstopper the bottle, embarrassed that he'd become so caught up in this moment. But you calmed him enough that you managed to take another small-ish swig and reset the timer. Assuring him that the slight breather was needed given just how vigorous he was being.

That alone almost had Raju questioning if he should calm down with his ministrations, but you weren't having any of that. No, you pulled the half-man down by the shoulders. Kissing him deeply as you bucked your hips to continue the evening.

He just couldn't say no to you. Not like this. Not when everything just worked perfectly. Raju would have to save up to buy many more of these potions for later.

Main character is shit at singing. It's so much more funny. Even more so because the scene partner is just as amazed as if the character was actually GOOD at singing. It's still just as emphatic, if not a lot more pitchy, but that's what singing is for.

My heart was beating out of my chest and im just curious, were at least some of the brothers home? If so, don’t they have like really sensitive hearing? Did none of them(even staff)hear her and Joon going to town? Honestly just curious. Also, despite their sensitive hearing usually they don't hear what the others do with their partners because their rooms are really far apart so the walls are thick. If they are within earshot though out of respect they tune each other out.

Fingers crossed Taehyung doesn't have anything planned. Y/N is putting her trust in him the way she has with Namjoon and Yoongi but the question is is he as trustworthy as the other two? And you're right! They love Hoseok and that for them will always come first so she needs to be careful.

Hello fren! Yes, I did sort of cover this in my Chapter 42/Mix_12 Initial Thoughts! Shizu is using music as a means to stay beside Hiiragi. Like if Hiiragi said to Shizu "oh, let's disband tomorrow". Shizu would be like "cool no worries as long as we get to stay together". While Ue is suffering from Mafuyu's hesitation towards music because music is Ue's life passion. Why Shizu feels the need to stick to Hiiragi like glue is talked about in more depth in this post here.

Does Ue fall in love at first sight?

Hmnnn..... I read your question and I was thinking about it the WHOLE way home from rehearsals about how I was going to answer this and the thing is....it depends on how you define and whether you yourself believe in

"love at first sight".

So I define love as being something a little more complex and comprising of several stages:

a) physical attraction: I think yes you can find someone cute when you first see them

b) emotional attraction: you develop a crush and you feel something stir in you, you feel emotionally moved by that person.

c) companionship: but to truly fall in LOVE, like GENUINE HEALTHY LOVE, you want the person you crush on to share the same needs, wants and values as you do. That's when you can envision a life together.

KEEP THIS IN MIND I'LL BE REFERRING TO THESE POINTS. I just want to recognise that there are so many different forms of attraction but for the purposes of this meta, I'll just be referring to these two forms of attraction, I hope that's ok with everyone.

Ideally, all three aspects need to be fulfilled in my opinion for someone to be IN LOVE. Therefore, love cannot be achieved at first sight so I don't really believe in "love at first sight".

So personally I think Uenoyama didn't fall in love at first sight, in fact I think Ue actually was annoyed at Mafuyu (LOL) for:

stealing his napping spot

rusty guitar strings

But then Mafuyu has those sad-ass puppy dog eyes that no one can resist so Ue, because he's inherently a really kind bean, was like "OH MAH GOD STOP LOOKING SO SADDDDD" and fixed it for him.

Ue was just annoyed, like "bruh, look after your expensive-ass Gibson plzzz".

BUTTTTTTTT 🍑

Then just out of habit, Ue played a quick chord after tuning the strings and Mafuyu did this "PLEASE TEACH ME MUSIC!!!"

Ue didn't know it at the time but he just had

c) companionship: his core need of wanting to do music with someone fulfilled.

Remember Haruki mentioned in Chapter 13 that:

Ue always seems to clash with his previous band members. Ue's life passion is music so I think whether he knows it or not, he actually really wants someone his own age (Akihiko and Haruki don't count because seniority is a thing in Japan), whether it's a friend or a partner, to be able to share his life passion with.

Ue REALLY freaking enjoyed the attention he was getting from Mafuyu following him around like an excited puppy, Ue would never admit it tho HAHAHHAHAHA. But we could definitely tell from his bored ass face when Mafuyu stopped following him HAHHAHA. But that's because @deep-fried-brain-cells both agree that HAHAH, Ue is a bit of an Tsundere LOL

So when Mafuyu says that even though, he went to the light music club, he still found Ue to be "cooler". This subconsciously fulfilled Ue's top needs and wants of finding someone that he can share his love of music with by guiding them. This really appeased Ue's core attribute because

Ue's an ~Ore-sama~ 😆😆😆

But I don't think he's in love at this point. Yes Ue did seem mindblown at Mafuyu's response but Akihiko and Haruki were also shooketh so the explosions were more shock rather than a sign of love.

Fast foward to when Ue heard Mafuyu sing. That's when

b) emotional attraction: Ue felt something stir inside him emotionally. Mafuyu's singing SERIOUSLY moved Ue!

From a young age, Ue found an oasis, a safe space in listening to music which then turned into a passion for composing. But somewhere along the way, he felt a bit lost and lost his passion for music. Honestly, I think Ue went through a bit of depression. (A clear symptom was how much he was napping at school T_T)

But seeing how well Mafuyu expresses himself through music (remember Mafuyu only thinks he expresses himself badly) through his singing REMINDED Ue of how much he himself used to LOVE and care for music.

Mafuyu's music shook Ue to his core.

Which is why after that moment, c) potential companionship actually finally registers in Ue's brain and he realises that maybe, JUST MAYBE,

Mafuyu's needs and wants and his own needs and wants could be aligned!

Which is why he asks Mafuyu to join the band! He wants to do music together with Mafuyu! He wants to share his life passion with Mafuyu!

Ok ok ok, so it could be interpreted that THE VERY MOMENT THAT Ue heard Mafuyu sing and asked Mafuyu to join the band,

Ue fell in love. <3

At least Akihiko noticed it.

Akihiko does that crazy 🤖robotic 🤖laugh LOL but he knows EXACTLY how overwhelming it is to fall in love FOR THE FIRST TIME. Not only that, remember Akihiko fell in love with Ugetsu not because he simply saw Ugetsu, but he heard Ugetsu play the violin and overtime understood why Ugetsu was such an amazing player. It was because like Mafuyu, Ugetsu expresses his emotions through his music. Akihiko and Ue are very similar in this way that they are incredibly moved by Ugetsu and Mafuyu who express their raw vulnerable selves through music.

Are Aki and Ue music-sexuals LOL? Is that an orientation? 😂😂😂 (honestly super relatable tho! My friends and I were literally talking about how the cohort at our music Conservatorium seem so normal and then the moment they pick up their instrument, sing or play, they all become so attractive 😂😆)

Three other hot clues as to why I think Ue fell in love the moment he listened to Mafuyu sing are:

In the anime when Mafuyu first declined to join the band, Ue first asked Yayoi about how she’s still hanging out with Akihiko even though Akihiko turned her down and Yayoi smacked him with a cushion 😆😆😆

Ue fricking searched up “how to ask someone out even after they have rejected you” on his phone 🤣🤣🤣 as a reference to try and pitch to Mafuyu again about joining the band LMAOOOOO

We hear Mafuyu’s singing in episode 2. Episode 2 is titled “Like someone in Love” 🤭🤭🤭 LERCHE studios knows what’s up.

Ue was so moved that he couldn't help but try to process his feelings but composing a song for Mafuyu <3

Chapter 5, Ue finally noticed Mafuyu laughing out loud for the first time and makes a mental note of it!

I honestly believe this is ACTUALLY the first time it registers in his dense-ass brain that "Mafuyu is kind of cute when he smiles????" But Ue's still thicc-headed HAHAHA

After, Ue learns about Mafuyu's past and we get the whole:

"It's Jealousy"

scene where Ue feels the need of wanting to be someone's No.1 for the first time. BUT EVEN THEN, he doesn't realise it until finally finally finally

Akihiko has the talk with Ue and makes him realise that a) he is physically attracted to Mafuyu, Mafuyu is freaking cute! Ue FINALLY REGISTERS that "holy shit"

lmao then Akihiko did this with his hand

TRUST ME THIS IS THE MOMENT when Akihiko made Ue's virgin self desperate for graduation HAHAHHA! Previously our nerdy composer boi was too busy doing music and napping! So it was only AFTER that conversation with Akihiko that it actually registers in Ue's brain that in addition to wanting to have some sort of c) companionship with Mafuyu and music and b) feeling emotionally attracted to Mafuyu, he is ALSO a) physically and sexually attracted to Mafuyu and then starts to FULL BLOWN ~GAY PANIC~ when he is in physical proximity to Mafuyu hahahahha. ------

So this is interesting....

For most heterosexual and heteroromantic people (I am generalising here to make a point), you'll have things happen in the linear order of a), b) then c), but for Ue it was backwards. Some may attribute this to just Ue being dense AF and while that is partially true,

CODE chapters is the story of Ue essentially coming to terms with his sexuality and navigating the bombshell of a confusion that is his first romantic relationship.

Or as @a-voice-of-my-own puts it, Ue's a BABY GAY. Humans as a whole filter reality through the way we are brought up, our experiences, decisions, what media we consume and how society reacts to us.

The lack of LGBTQIA+ representation means that LGBTQIA+ individuals lack the resources to help them easily identify sexual/romantic attraction compared to cis hetero individuals.

Furthermore, societal and political marginalisation of the LGBTQIA+ community, especially in a conservative country like Japan means that internalised homophobia and trauma make it even harder to recognise feelings of love and attraction.

So following my definition of love, I don't think Ue fell in love at first sight. Ue may have found Mafuyu subconsciously cute from the beginning (who can resist the lost puppy AWWW) but he processed that as a feeling of ANNOYANCE and WANTING TO CHEER HIM UP rather than as a feeling of romantic or sexual attraction. Even then, at first Ue just really enjoyed the attention and teaching Mafuyu music. Uenoyama and Mafuyu were becoming good friends. However, slowly he realised that Mafuyu shared the same values, needs and emotionally touched him in a way that no one else has ever before.

Mafuyu touched Uenoyama with MUSIC🎵❤️

Ue is by no means perfect as he is a growing teenager and navigating his overwhelming feelings but it's been established by everyone around Ue that he's a really honest and standup guy. The reason why Mafuyama is so good for each other is because they both value honesty.

In summary, perhaps Mafuyama chemistry was there from the beginning but to me, falling in love is a slower process than “at first sight”.

What I absolutely adore is that the moment Ue recognised his love for Mafuyu and realised that Mafuyu loves music as much as he does,

UE IS TRYING TO AIM FOR A FUTURE WITH MAFUYU AND MUSIC IN IT AND THAT'S TRUE LOVE 💕

my very first headcanon. let’s feature some genshin characters this time: albedo, kaeya, diluc, let’s add xiao.

well, mr. calvary captain of the knights of favonius also tends to have a temper. at least, when somebody approaches y/n, or yes, that’s you, he might get a little bit possessive. let’s take a reading.

p o s s e s s i v e:

You were innocently gazing around the stands of Liyue, unnoticing the other people who were gazing at you expectantly. Kaeya was not so oblivious. Kaeya pulled you slightly closer, or at least interlink his hands with yours. When you open your mouth to ask about this sudden display of affection, he’ll respond with a simple.

“don’t worry about it, y/n. everything’s fine.” then when you “looked away,” he proceeded to lay a chaste kiss on your cheek, platonic enough to look innocent but also romantic enough to make the others realize you were taken.

“why is it always the good ones-”

“Kaeya, darling,” you responded, smirking, “don’t think I don’t realize what you’re doing.” He was taken aback for a bit (a couple seconds), before he realized he’d been had.

Imperceptible to the naked eye, or you, you weren’t really paying attention, he tightened his grip around your hand and leaned in slightly closer to you. The brown-haired man on the other side of the road was really starting to unnerve him, it seemed like he was staring bullets into your back.

“don’t look now, love,” he started, “but there’s a man who’s looking at you very intensely right now-”

“m’ sure it’s nothing, you always get so worked up, bedo-”

“he’s been for the past five minutes.” you shook your head dismissively and actually decided to play a little game. you edged closer to the man, and Albedo looked at you curiously. the man started edging towards you then, and you knew that Albedo had been right.

“Hey! what’s a beautiful person such as yourself doing with something like him?” 

you drew back a little, as he had alcohol on his breath. his hand clasped onto your wrist a little bit too tightly, and you winced. you knew that he had sealed his fate.

A flash of Geo, and the poor man (well, you didn’t feel too bad for him after all, not in a cruel way, but he had some unsavory intentions) was pinned up against a wall, with albedo, lovely sweet alchemist, poised to stab his throat with a knife that he had obtained from god knows where.

“if you ever lay another one of your filthy hands on them, i’ll cut them off myself.” then albedo was back and the two of you were strolling down the sakura-laden path, calm and happy as can be.

He had always known you were beautiful, inside and out, and it was plain to see on the other people’s faces in Dawn Winery they recognized it too. They had approached you coyly, and they had been chased away ashamedly.

he heard your huffing tones as you stepped towards him with an embrace.

“can you believe it? i tried to tell them i was taken-”

Diluc felt a little bit distant, how come you got so much attention? all he really wanted was a partner that was loyal. he knew you were, but he was beginning to doubt it...

so out of the blue it came. “are you going to leave me?” you recoiled, shooketh. 

“whatever do you mean? where’s all this coming from?” those red eyes were flaming, and he grabbed onto you, none too gently, herding you into the back of the wine room.

“are you... jealous?” he blushed and looked away.

“N-no, why would I be?” he tsk-ed once, but then he looked at you.

“I can make that promise, love,” and his lips enraptured yours. you both walked out, one tall with red-hair, one with h/c hair, and you were ready to face anything head on now.

Xiao was standing at the door of Wangshu Inn, waiting for you in the place you always were, in the time you always had punctuality. but no, you weren’t punctual now.

it was five, then ten, then fifteen minutes late, and xiao realized he had been tapping his foot impatiently the whole time. he ceased immediately, of course, but he still couldn’t shake off the feeling of the fact that something was wrong. he had sent a message ten minutes ago and you hadn’t responded.

then he saw you, with your beautiful hair and eyes, with the sweet voice that had stopped his aimless treading, the y/n that he loved.

“why are you late?” was the first thing that came out of his mouth. he saw you holding a box, golden with a red ribbon.

“Oh, I was with Kaeya,” and the flares of jealousy he could quench no more. He blinked back hot tears, and ran away, unable to face the rejection and hurt that was inevitably coming for him, but he felt a woosh of Cryo, and he stopped in his tracks.

“Wait, Xiao!”

“Why are you running?” your voice called out, silvery and light amidst the chaos of the world.

“aren’t you gonna-”

he stumbled over his words. if this was going to happen, he was going to speak first. 

“let’s break up.” the words sounded like poison, bubbling vats of it coming from his mouth and the box dropped. revealing what had been inside.

it was a beautiful diamond, encased in platinum, with the words X + (first letter of your name) engraved on the band. a wedding band. god, he had screwed up. you weren’t with Kaeya... another man, you were with Kaeya choosing a ring. he saw your e/c eyes tear up, and the air filled with the storm of Cryo.

the temperature plummeted around you and soon the air was frozen and it was just the two of you in a small icy cubicle.

“W-why? D-did I do something wrong?” he never, ever wanted to be the cause of your tears.

“n-no, y/n, it was a mistake-” hot tears spilled over his cheeks too-

“A MISTAKE?” the air plummeted further and xiao felt himself being encased in eyes, damn his jealousy and damn his brain and everything, what had he done? the ice shattered and you were about to storm off when he grasped your hands.

“please forgive me.” your eyes were now black, not warm but like chips of black ice. and still you stopped.

“when I heard you were with kaeya, i got extremely jealous and i- I read your intentions incorrectly-” your eyes returned to normal and the temperature slowly increased to normal as well.

“oh, xiao,” you stroked his blue hair (yes, it is very soft don’t fight me on this), “however could I want to break up with you?” you held him tight as he sobbed.

“i would never want to leave you,” and it was true. the love in your irises for him would chain him to the spot he was, with you, until the end of time.

Some are saying Shi De promised to be back in a few months and continue long distance but Shu Yi's father intervenes and they never email eo + Shi De has to stay over in the US for 5 years which is why the preview slap happend... Ah my heart hurts

let me be very honest, i don't buy the 'i'll be back in a few of months' thing. if it is, then S2 wouldn't be set up fckn 5yrs in the future. i watch this series with every expectation of Shu yi & Shi De being apart for 5 years.

i wouldn't be surprised if Shi De ends up extending his stay in America to 4-5 years. also, the voiceover in the credit said they were apart of 76k+ hours. that's already answer enough.

honestly, i think the things that lead to them being on bad terms are miscommunication & misunderstanding; it happens in every relationship. but i think the one who's mostly in the wrong would probably be Shi De since his face was guilty af. Shu Yi also mouthed sth that looks like 'you motherfckr'. and 'everyone' seems to be on Shu Yi's side. 

but then again, i could totally be wrong because Shu Yi is the more dramatic between the two of them. and Shi De looked shooketh afterwards.

ofc i also consider the 'Shu Yi's dad issue'. it might be a problem but i like to think that Shu Yi's dad probably 'intervene' to 'test' them, see if Shi De's good enough for his son and such. he seems very strict but he also seems to love & care for Shu Yi a lOT. Shu Yi's probably gonna inherit a wealthy business empire, i think every parent would want to make sure their kid's partner won't go running with their tails between their legs. 

i'm not dismissing Shu Yi's dad, i'm saying it's probably one of the many hurdles in their long-distance relationship. and to blame Shu Yi's dad alone would be dismissing the dysfunctions & unhealthy mechanism that happened/will happen in their relationship.  

also, a homophobic dad is bad writing. not generally, but plot-wise when it pertains to WBL in particular. Lin Pei Yu is a really good writer, i expect her to be above employing the 'homophobic parent' card.

Jace was walking up to his desk and he noticed Clary was very concentrated on her computer, he decided to flick a rubber band at her.

"We have work to do," she said.

They went through the footage and after a couple more days of work they found the bad guys and put them in jail

Jace wondered if they could improve their system of the way the handle certain suspects but not all of them wanted things to change. Jace wanted to make a difference though.

"We're getting a new Captain today," said Clary as she sat at her desk.

"Why do you seem disappointed?," she asked.
