MDZS the comic review 1-3

So far 9/10

The sell: Wei Wuxian is a cutie pie baby boy baby. Actually I’m gonna be honest here. 1 I have seen a good portion of the anime and none of the Netflix show 2 I have tried to read the book for this one and heavenly officials blessing. This book was okay…? I just saw the two for one on the first two comics and jumped on them and was much happier.

I really like the comic form. Yes there is a lot more reading involved but I enjoy the art style I think it has decent pacing. For the story? It’s very intriguing you have so many mysteries going on but the comic books are small enough you can go back and go hey did we meet this guy already very easily. I like the romance btw Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji I do wonder sometimes okay why is Wei Wuxian heavily tying his boat to this man but at the same time I am a sucker for a kuudere too no shame. I look forward to continuing on.

Side note when I was in Japan i stayed in Akihabara and walked up a million stairs in the book shop to get to the top where the BL manga stuff was. I always get a book from my travels and although I hadn’t read any danmei at that time. I picked up the comic of MDZS and brought it home with me so here are some photos of the Japanese cover and inner cover

Ps. Now you might ask wow Jenny hasn’t posted shit in a while and that’s true I had to move house and I’m having to take a stupid exam as an adult 😩 not fair. Also the YA books I’ve been reading have disappointed me so much I’m going to put them into a special hate update.
