Damn, Creepy Nuts really knows how to create bangers after bangers. First, Bling-Bang-Bang-Born and now Otonoke??? I'm gonna be dancing to those songs for a while lmao.

Sidenote: I do want to watch Dan Da Dan, but gotta finish the FOP rewatch first lol.

I've noticed that both of these series do have something similar..., like having supernatural creatures such as aliens and ghosts (maybe that's more Danny Phantom lol), the wacky slapstick humor character interactions, and some eldritch horror (in a way)... Hmm, it really does coincide with what I felt about FOP and the Victorian AU I'm collabing with keyintheeye-blog currently lmao.

Although, Dan Da Dan is obviously more mature and raunchy in its humor (as usual with anime). I won't really recommend it to anyone who's not comfortable with sexual jokes or is not used to the kind of storytelling that anime usually has.

Still, I've just felt inspired by how amazing the anime's presentation was so far, mixed with what I'm doing currently, and so, that's how this spawned lol. I do think it needs something more, but I don't know what to add truthfully. Plus, I still can't go snooping around and see the wonderful fanarts the others have created online, so I'll just post these as compensation for being so busy lately. I need to sleep actually, but there's another post I want to do before signing off again. <I'll do that later on this day.> (There's more of my thoughts in the image alt text.)

honestly, that felt like a breath of fresh air. thank you for your message, i appraciate it. As for the spam, the first few asks that i've received were relatively respectful and encouraging me to do better, but i've delayed the response because i didn't know how to solve it. at first, i didn't even realize I was doing something that may be considered incorrect by some people, because the first message I've recieved was after I posted a drawing with mirabelle in her bonnet, and thought that maybe that person mistook it for her hair? but as more of those messages started roling in, i realized that it couldn't be it. i'm also a stubborn person, so a part of me wanted to do the opposite of what was asked of me, just to annoy those people further. but i didn't want to, because those messages weren't really rude- only later on, they started getting more passive-aggressive, and eventually borderline insulting. I was making fun of it at first, because I like to think that I don't care what strangers think about my art, but when those requests reached double digits numbers, I started thinking that maybe I'm in the wrong. I still don't really think I am, because It's not that I don't want to draw Mira's canon design, i just don't like how it looks like when I try to mirror it. But from the appraciation towards this Anon that decided a strictly different approach, I'll try to draw her better. Don't know if i'll still settle on my own design or not, but for now, you can have the doodles below

MMMMMMMM HE HAS LONG HAIR??? I mean *looks at my posts* long hair fits him absolutely [Still not sure if he has long hair or not but looks like he has his hair tied in a ponytail or in a bun, I don't know it just looks like it on the second image]

[oh and also he called him "Doc" again, instead of Docm which I don't know what could mean in this situation yet, but one day it'll probably make sense as we get more parts]

This Etho right here looks either terrified or confused, and I think it's because

X is going to go absolutely crazy and he's scared that X is now in control [based on the "you dropped your crown king'' caption that might refer to Etho who isn't the attacker anymore but could also refer to Xisuma which I'll explain later]

or

2. He finally snapped back into his senses

or

3. he sees X without his helmet for the first time and his good 'ol computer brain is like '??????? Who tf is that"

"you dropped your crown king" could also refer to X as his helmet got destroyed in process [being the crown] and from what I know, we don't know the reason for why X wears helmet in this AU. The most popular headcannon for his armour and helmet is that he's a voidwalker and can't breathe in the overworld, we don't know if it's a thing in this AU but if it is that could mean that now he's powerless, he "dropped his crown" - he became weaker, powerless against his enemy. Also Doc looks kinda scared, or maybe just surprised after seeing X's face for probably first time. [if he's scared, then he's probably aware of Xisuma's condition when it comes to air]

Personal challenge: a simple sketch each day

Goal: forcing me to keep things simple - inking, shading, just a few sashes of colour

Improvement pursued: to get the movement, the emotion, finding how to add depth, learning how to leave things barely finished

Max time allowed: 2 hours, as usual for my Daily Challenges.

Tribute Time, so I threw the timer away, lol :-p. As for my Fallen Angel Aziraphale (link), I spent more or less 3 hours on the lineart, plus 1h30 on the colouring/shading.

Crowley, as my « Fallen Serpent ».

“On Thin Ice”'s author Blairamok describes the Cantilevers figure as « one of the biggest fuck yous to physics », and so one of Crowley’s signature moves. As I was searching drawing references about this amazing figure, I found a lot of ways to perform it, all beautiful and impressive. I finally chose this particular one (I am sorry I don’t know the original performer’s name on the picture I used, but to me he seemed so powerful, yet relaxed and happy on the picture, so I couldn’t resist). Though I had to slightly re-adapt the figure to Crowley who is taller, thinner and maybe even more flexible (ssssnaky, duh).

I had so much fun re-thinking his clothes for my sketch. I used the scrumptious💕 black and red « Serpent » clothing that Blairamok created, and I added my own « signature move » : wings – or, well, feathers. As Crowley is THE Fallen Angel here, the feathers are slightly burnt, some of them almost torn apart. They cover his shoulder blades, then spread out as a unique short and damaged wing at the back of his right shoulder, go down on his right flank, then cross his back as they slightly go embracing his left hip. The Red Serpent Pattern is quite the same as Blair’s clothing, but it still continues on his leg and circles his right ankle like a leg shackle.

I am particularly proud of Crowley’s eye and expression. Remember? I dearly wanted Crowley sharing a glance with Aziraphale while he was doing his Cantilevers, and Aziraphale was supposed to glance back to him. I had to give up on this idea later – because the figure I chose for Aziraphale definitely couldn’t allow such a shared glance. (but wait for the third part of this triptyque, it will be posted tomorrow!)

So, my Crowley still has this ethereal, strangely happy, almost enthralled expression. It kind of represents my own interpretation of the Cantilevers figure : it’s a proof of complete trust, in yourself, in your skills, in your art and your environment. And I like to imagine that if Crowley is able to have such confidence in himself, then maybe he can and will trust his partner Aziraphale with quite the same strength.

i'm intrigued by the mantis!gyutaro?

The mantis Gyutaro fic is one I started about a year ago and I have 2 chapters written. But I never posted it because I didn't want to commit to another fic. I will say it is one of my favorite things I've written though. ・:*(〃∇〃人)*:・

Someone gave me the idea of a cryptid Gyutaro on my old blog, then I made these sketches which inspired the fic.

𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒔!𝑮𝒚𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒐 𝒙 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓

Scrambling to your knees, you turn around to face whatever thought you’d make an easy meal.

It’s a man. No… It’s an insect.

The creature has the body and the face of a man, albeit very thin and bony. He has black hair that fades into green halfway down, partially tied up in a messy topknot. Large folded up wings lay on his back. His forearms are decorated with long, sharp spikes. His entire body is covered in ink-like black splotches. Two long antennae hang in front of his face.

The thing is sitting down, groaning with its head in its palms.

Your thoughts are spiraling. There’s no way that this is actually happening right? The sane person in you wants to run away screaming before this thing gets back up. But the entomologist in you wants to investigate further. You know you’re playing with fire, but your curiosity gets the best of you.

You take a moment to admire his appearance again. Antennae, tibial spines, large wings. This creature resembles a mantis. Ok, what do you know about mantids? They’re aggressive predators, territorial, and they’ll eat almost anything. Shit, none of that information helps you right now. It only diminishes your chances of getting out of this alive.

You took too long, and the creature has recovered from your headbutt. Staring at you with wide eyes, it slowly moves towards you. Inching ever so slowly. 

Reaching into your pocket, you grab the small jar of honey you were going to use as bait later in the night. You know that mantids only eat live prey, but this is all that you have. 

You fumble with the lid, scooting yourself backwards as the creature continues its crawl towards you. With a huff, your back hits a tree, stopping your path. You are met with glowing yellow eyes and deadly mandibles inches from your face.

Somehow, you managed to open the jar. The sweet aroma of artisan honey fills the air around you. In a desperate attempt to distract the creature, you hold the honey out to him.

“H-here. F-for you…” you stutter, voice barely above a whisper.

Guttural clicks rumble from his chest. He exhales in your face, the rich scent of blood fills your nose. Almost making you gag. You must’ve not been the first item on the menu tonight.

With curiosity, the creature sniffs the jar in your hand. He places a hand on your hip to keep you in place, as a long tongue slips out of its mouth. Its tongue is pitch black and forked at the tip. 

You feel like you can’t breathe as this thing starts to lick the honey from the jar. Seemingly satisfied by its sweetness he continues. This creature is quite literally, eating from the palm of your hand. 

It’s great that you managed to distract it, but what do you do now? It’s holding you down so you won’t be able to get away. All you can do is watch as the jar slowly empties, your fate approaching. You thought you were being smart by offering the honey, but all you managed to do is give him an appetizer.

It only takes a few minutes for the jar to be licked clean. His hungry gaze shifted back to you. He licks his mandibles as he inches his face closer to yours, tickling the top of your head with his antennae.

“P-please… I-I don’t wanna die,” you whimper. Lowering your head and squeezing your eyes shut as tears roll down your cheeks.

All you can do is wait for the pain of being ripped apart.

starting with this one... well well

that was supposed to be an au where Nerv is some kind of star or smth like this.... I scrapped this because the idea started to feel absolutely stupid and was completely unreasonable. and well it just turned out to be so «ooc» that i just couldn't explain this au at all. so I just forgot about it, even tho I am pretty proud of this peace

this is recent one that just don't have any idea behind it, idk what to do with this. I love this sketch so maybe I will finish it one day who knows

this one is sad for me actually. it was supposed to be some kind of comic about how Nerv and Pascal meet each other. I couldn't finish because of uni and lack of skill and proper idea. maybe I'll finish it one day x2

this is another au I promised to tell about when I posted my Nerv designs but I just couldn't explain what I wanted to tell. Nerv is supposed to be some kind of spirit from Olive's garden and Pascal is secretly investigating her garden because of paranormal activity. and Nerv starts to haunt Pascal and trying to communicate, but the idea is absolutely raw so I just gave up on it again because of uni and my lacking of creativity

scrapped fem Nerv design. I love this design on its own but something just feels off for me here idk

it was a «search» sketch for nerv's reaper design and I just thought it was too «weak» for a single post

Your Halfa!Dash AU is really interesting. Can we please see his ghost form? Or like, get a description of it. Also, does Sam and Tucker ever find out the truth? Would love to see their reaction and what they decide to do(can totally see them helping out). Lastly, what does the town call ghost-form Dash? Do they call him Invisbill? Phantom? Or does he go by something else entirely?

Actually I have more Posts on Halfa!Dash AU~ One with the ghost form. I'll post all the links to everything that has Halfa Dash that I've done. Sam and Tucker find out later, though at first they're hurt that Danny spending more time with Dash. Then they think Dash is blackmailing Danny, especially when they hear from Jazz about them "dating". Jazz didn't know they didn't know and they kind of pieced it together what little she slipped. They definitely do help out.. though threaten Dash that they'll be the one he has to worry about ripping him apart if anything happens to Danny. Despite Danny having explained the situation. I haven't thought of a name much. BullRush maybe? But it might be more of an attack he names. It won't be phantom. Though can see Danny suggest it or mutters what he would have named himself LOL Because I can see Dash having different sets of powers and a different core than Danny. Very reliant on his strength and speed. Not so much on his aim. Good thing Danny learns how to shoot the ghost blaster. Though he has some trial and error too. He just can't help but help. (He will be spicy about it though) And since Dash NEEDS Danny he has to work on his temper. Danny does push his limits with it sometimes because he knows he has the upper hand. He does get karma for it because it does go too far at one point. Oooo what if that karma is Spectre and Dash is so depressed.. Jazz even points out Danny is being too spiteful. So Danny has to comfort Dash so he can save his sister and the school. Dash like y'know what.. I'd probably done worse. "You have." "....I thought this was about making me feel better, Fenton." "It is, but I'm not going to lie. You're better than you use to be. Funny enough, I think its pretty common for death defying experiences to change someone's life.. or after life... or something like that. Jazz is better at explaining it-" "JAZZ!!!" (remembers she's in danger)

A while back I made some paper bust doodles, which I have currently all stored on my OneDrive for later drawings! I might start a second little series of daily activity busts of my Allmentaly OCs. Seeing how I wanna show more simple or daily life activities of my main WIP, this might be a good start of it. Helps you get a glimpse of what daily life in Draja looks like and helps me get more art of my beans (I wanna get as many own-made art for them as possible, cause I love drawing them :3).

What do you think? Is that a good idea? Once everyone from my Main WIP got one, I'll continue with my WOF AU OCs! These fellas have some neat stuff going on as well.

And now to this post's topic (since I don't really have much lore to drop, besides Alokit being a tea drinker): Art goals for the rest of this year!

As I mentioned a while back, I wanna continue Christmas in Draja! Seeing that I haven't made any progress for it in one year is both sad and motivating at the same time! I'll probably start the next sketch wave for it in December. Who knows, maybe I manage to finish both parts this year's XD Second things I wanna finish this year are the YCHs, my owed art (very specifically the two scenes!) and part 1 of my secret project. Let's see if I'll finish all these in my set time period (I doubt it tbh, seeing how slow I tend to be, but I'll stay positive for now :3)

So, what about your art goals for the remaining 1 and a half months?

This is how I've been sketching lately! I can't decide which one I want to finish, but I kinda want to alter the first one to be Underfell papyrus because it would be so much fun for me to draw him having a softer moment, maybe late or post pacifist route, where he gets the chance to act in the comforting and kinda way he could have had the underground of the fell au not been so hostile. In the way we usually get to depict og papyrus. It just seems like it might be fun. I'll draw more of the under game cast later. eventually.

I originally had a video to go with these but Tumblr isn't letting me post it for some reason but oh well next time maybe! These only took 20 min, idk if was the condensed video file or what but it didn't do anything happy for me emotionally >:[

Also, I'm starting to think I should replay the game some time soon. I feel like there's more I could do with my art if I could remember the source better, ya know?

I’ve been writing a lot about Emerie for my AU. Since she is a very undeveloped character I’ve been writing her backstory (and then her very involved part in the AU). So some little sketches of her from different stages.

Backstory explanations for these particular versions below.

‘X’ being her name as a prototype in the Kamino Labs. She looked a lot like the rest of the male clones at this point (cause like all kids look the same) and they labelled her with the ‘x’ tattoo to help differentiate her. (This later becomes the symbol on the back of her armour.)

After the Kaminoan’s finished using her as a test prototype and before creating Omega, they gave her to a family on Bar’leth where she grew up (with some accelerated growth like other clones) and it was where she attended university and specialised in post-birth genetic modification research. This drawing I think she's about 14, and going through her "if I grow my hair really long, maybe I'll look less like a boy" phase.

Hemlock discovered her prior to the fall of the Republic while he was looking for tests subjects and initially took her on under the guise of research, but actually wanted to use her for trail runs first tests he would conduct on other clones. But then the Empire was created and she was given a proper research position. I imagine her getting very sick and skinny and depressed in the job, especially after being put in charge of Project Necromancer and having to look after children who were test subjects just like she was. She has her tattoo covered up for work because she hates anyone recognising it as an experimental label while she is the one who is supposed to be conducting the research.

Post the fall of Tantiss Base, she worked with Clone Underground for two years. She wasn’t treated particularly well, mostly because of her role in helping conduct experiments on clones in the facility and her isolation being the only female clone in the sector. In this drawing she is in a second hand republic undershirt that was made for a bigger male clone, and the company number has been sewn over since she is the only clone who didn’t have a squad or company. When Echo is forced to leave the rebellion (and Hunter contacts her to keep an eye one him) he convinces her to join him in his on going project to shut down clone testings under the Empire.

And, then of course, her taking on the code name Chance, and becoming part of the Domino/Chance duo under the Domino Squad name that Echo leads. There is a lot of content on my page about them. I didn’t add a close up of this version, there is enough full armour versions on my account.

I just love that she has such a cool premise of a character that was never developed so I get to write in all the blanks.

Apothecary AU Quick Sketches

Decided to do some quick sketches to some of the ideas I mentioned in the last post. Also for the owl names I used a translator. Also I put the pictures through the art program that I use and made some digital images of these pieces. Also I know that the hand sketches look messy. I was making them a little quickly while also doing some other things. So don't mind the messiness of them.

In the first picture with Nightmare has a white-faced owl, the name in English is Frosty Star. When I translated the name into Japanese it gave me Furosutisutā. So if that translation is wrong please let me know cause I know that translators aren't always correct!

The second picture with Nightmare having a tawny owl. The name they have in English is Moon Mama. The translation from English to Japanese gave me Mūnmama.

The third picture with Nightmare he has a common barn owl. I just gave them the name Star. I was thinking Stary (Star ie) but then I realized that, that word looks like I just misspelled stray. The translator says that Star in Japanese is Hoshi. So if that's wrong please let me know. Also yes that last sketch was done much quicker cause I had to hurry and finish it. Stuff happened and it does look funny XD

Common barn owls is the tallest out of these three owls so for some reason my partly tired mind was having a hard time quick sketching a barn owl for some reason!

Okay so the height of a white-faced owl is 22 to 28 cm or 9ish inches in height. A tawny owl is around 24.5 to 30.5 cm or 9.6 to 12 inches in height. While a common barn owl is 33 to 39 cm or 13 to 15 inches in height.

I did also think of sketching Cross or Horror or Killer or Dust reacting to the owl but I'm gonna save those reactions for the mini comic story drafts... I need to figure out which owl to give Nightmare... another problem for future me. Or I might make a poll later and see what everyone thinks. Just to narrow the choice down a little.

Maybe I'll give him a common barn owl just for the simple face sketching and stuff. Or the tawny owl because fluffy looking owl. Though the white-faced owl looks like it has a mustache... The choices! Well if I decided on giving Nightmare an owl this is possibly what they might look like... or I might change their looks idk at the moment.
