One complaint I have about Mashle stageplay is that Kaldo kept using Japanese polite form (masu/desu).
Kaldo just does not use polite form that often in the manga. He uses a little bit when he first shows up, he also uses polite form when speaking with Wahlberg, who is very old and also very powerful. Otherwise, when speaking with Easton students, Ryoh or Orter, he always uses casual form when speaking.
The tendency to make Kaldo speak in polite form is something I also observed in some Japanese fanfics.
Kaldo is not that polite. He isn't as rude, direct, and blunt like many of Mashle characters but he is pretty casual when it comes to his speech.
#mashle#mashle stageplay#kaldo gehenna#yeah i have reached the point where I started complaining about the form the characters use in works not penned by the authors

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Mashle stageplay was fun and good.
Margarette was absolutely amazing! Regro and Brad were the perfect gay dads and comedy duo!
Wahlberg and Innocent Zero’s voices were just absolutely stunning!
Allen was very flamboyant and a perfect Ryoh.
If I have any complaint, it is that they didn’t have enough honey jokes.
The people that stood out the most and had a lot of screen time in the second stageplay were Margarette, Domina, Wahlberg, Innocent Zero, and obviously Mash.
I feel like Lance, Finn, Lemon, Dot got a lot of screen time but their time on stage didn’t have a lot of weight. Finn had a nice character development scene, though.
The divine visionaries didn’t really stand out though they did get some extra scenes that were not included in the manga. Maybe in the third stageplay, they will get more. We do get to learn more about Ryoh, Orter, Kaldo, ane Rayne in the final battle against Innocent Zero and his sons.
I think that they are obviously planning to end the series in three stage plays so we are probably going to get the last show next year.
I can’t stop gushing about Wahlberg and Innocent Zero’s voices. Their voices were literally so good their magical fight felt like an absolutely riveting vocal clash. It was like they fought each other by overpowering the other’s voice. And their voices were so different in tone and timbre (Wahlberg had this very deep, smooth, and warm voice, while Innocent Zero had a harsher kind of voice that was kinda akin to wood chippers, which fit their characters so well). Because of these differences, their voices meshed so well in this vocal battle between two great magicians and we could hear the conflicts in the different qualities of their voices.
However, on the topic of voices, I am not really fond of Orter’s voice. His voice occasionally felt kinda pitchy and because of that, in some of the group songs, his voice was overpowered by the voices of the other divine visionaries who sang their parts better.

Tier list ranking the vocal performance of the actors and actresses in Mashle The Stage 2.5
So, I made this tier list based only what I saw and heard from the cast's performances in this specific stageplay. I did not take into account the actors' other works even when I have watched some actors perform in other roles.
I ranked them based on their voices and on how well they embodied the characters through their singing, but mostly I considered their voices before taking in other factors.
Also, the placements of the actors only matter in the first few tiers. In the last two tiers, the placements don't really mean anything.
These are the detailed reasons for the placements:
Oka Kojiro (Wahlberg) was by far the best singer in this show. He has a very impressive voice and completely dominated the stage when he sang.
Kiyama Haruki (Innocent Zero) has a very interesting voice and his performance in Mashle was top-knot. One of the reasons that I probably like him really well is the fact that he paired really well with Wahlberg and didn't fall off in vocal combat with him. His voice had a very striking presence in the show and made quite an impression from the first scene that he showed up.
Spi (Margarette Macaron) was absolutely amazing in this show. He has an absolutely amazing voice but what was most amazing is how he was able to use his voice so well to play the character. He could laugh madly while giving mad vocal performances.
Yamazaki Shogo (Kaldo Gehenna) has a very beautiful voice and he definitely can use it very well. I like all of his parts of the songs and wish he could have sung more. I also like Kaldo a lot so I am biased as fuck so don't trust this ranking. However, it is true Yamazaki can sing very well.
Sasaki Yosahide (Rayne Ames) has a lot of solos in this show that makes very good use of his voice. I enjoy his singing a lot but there were some misses in his singing that were quite apparent. I only watched one stream so it is possible that he didn't make those mistakes in his other performances. Yamazaki and Sasaki probably were about equal in this tier list.
Allen Kohatsu (Ryoh Grantz) really embodies the ultimate masterpiece of humankind. He is a very good singer and definitely could act very well as Ryoh Grantz through his singing. However, he didn't really have a lot of solos so I can't judge the full range of his voice.
Kitazono Ryo (Orter Madl) can sing. I just do not think he is as good as the other actors when it come to their voices.
Yuki (Cell War) gave a very fun vocal performance. However, I do not think his voice is particularly outstanding.
Regarding the other performers, when they gave very fun performances, they didn't stand out vocal-wise.
