Another delish wine from Ca'n Majoral @vinscanmajoral #Mallorca, a family bodega with father (and founder) Andreu Oliver at the helm, working with his daughter Mireia and nephew Andreu, who are also winemakers. It’s Mallorca Monday! This is the Motor America by 4 Kilos Vinicola : 100% Callet from an organic vineyard planted in 1961. The grapes are de stemmed and gently crushed into cylindrical clay vats which were made with clay from Vilafranca de Bonany (20 minutes from the winery). The grapes are allowed to macerate for 25 days in clay with daily pigeage. The wine is aged in clay pots for 3 mos followed by an additional 2 mos in stainless steel tank. Bottled with no additives or preservatives. The wine is fresh, with red cherry, fresh cut herbs, crunchy minerals, soft tannin and a hint of blood orange.
