So this is my sister (covered her face and name for obv reasons) she doesnt identify as anything other than a woman and it鈥檚 really sad to see her (and other women) post these things so openly and never read into their feelings on it any deeper it鈥檚 just ok time to put some makeup on!! ,, >:( it鈥檚 frustrating when women lie to me with the same lies they tell themselves like we鈥檙e not the same and i haven鈥檛 told myself the same lies and have watched the women around me tell themselves those lies too. I watched my sister sink into materialism and vanity always chasing this unattainable ideal and getting ever further from the image she鈥檚 obsessed over while never stopping to think of where she got this image from? it didnt just pop into her head one day that she NEEDED to look *specific way* or else she had no real worth or value. The bare face and natural state of being for a woman is not masculine to say that is entirely contradictory.

If you wear lipstick, what color(s)
馃拕
Thanks for the ask!
I do wear lipstick and I wear lip stain, but the colors I wear are a little boring.
I mostly wear reds, pinks, and mauves. Sometimes I'll wear black lip stain, but that's more for when I'm going out somewhere like if we go dancing or to the movies. It just has more coverage in my opinion and once you put on black lip stain it's going to take a lot more than a couple of sips to wash it off!
Right now though, I've been wearing a lot of reds, and I do mean a lot. From firetruck to ox blood, my lips are constantly colored red.
One of my favorites is called red velvet and it's such a pretty shade!
Thanks again for the ask! I don't know if you were looking for a full-on rant about my lipstick choices, but I hope you liked my answer nonetheless lol!
I hope you stay blessed and safe throughout your day.
Lots of Love & Wishes: Celia 馃挋

Hot take but sometimes people need to remember that makeup brands are allowed to target a specific demographic and don't need to make products that work for everyone. This is specifically about Glossier and how I see people complain about how their products are light coverage. That is the entire point. They make light coverage makeup for people who just want a little touch-up that feels lightweight on the skin.
When I was a teenager and makeup youtube was huge, full coverage, matte, full glam makeup was all the rage, and most brands catered specifically to that trend. But I can't stand full coverage, full glam makeup on myself. Thick foundation and lots of layers of products are uncomfortable on my skin, and I frankly don't want to feel like I have to commit to a lengthy makeup routine.
I loved when makeup brands that catered to the "your skin but touched up" philosophy started popping up. I hate wearing foundation. All I want is a lightweight concealer that I can buff over some redness and my under eyes to soften my face. Glossier concealer is so lightweight that you don't need to worry about getting an exact color match because it doesn't draw attention to itself. I can use their products and still feel like myself.
So stop showing up everywhere complaining about how it doesn't cover your acne scarring. It's not a product made to do that. Heavy coverage defeats the entire purpose of the low-coverage niche that the brand targets. There are so many brands that offer exactly what you want, so stop acting like every niche brand needs to make a product that meets your specific needs.

*disclaimer because I have no doubt it's needed- when I say I am anti-makeup, I am not criticizing women who wear it. I'm criticizing a largely male-led billion dollar industry that shames women's natural bodies, directly profits off of insecurities, and is insanely environmentally harmful. And also criticizing anyone who implies that women somehow need it.*
Being even the tiniest hit radical in your feminism makes me feel insane. It seems like every person on planet earth is forgetting that we don't exist in a vacuum. I'm making stickers and looking for anti-makeup slogans and every single search possible is just full of "I don't wear makeup for patriarchy, I just like the way it feels!" Why do you like the way it feels? "Feminists can wear makeup too guys!" Why do you feel the need to remind me of that? Who has ever been shamed for conforming to expectations? It's the same thing with body hair, free the nipple, anti-porn. It's all "but I like it!" or "but I just think (x natural feature) is gross!" and never any critical thoughts about WHY they developed that belief. I can't even talk about my own relationship with gender nonconformity without someone jumping in and "but me!"-ing. I'm going crazy.

So unbelievably tired of nude eyeshadow and lip shades. Literally every mainstream brand nowadays is just brown and beige shades so if you want color you have to go on a hunt for indie brands that have what you're looking for, or resort to bad quality like amazon and colorpop馃ゲ every mainstream makeup release since 2017 has been "in the nude" "nudist" "naked" and I'm snoozing I'm dozing I'm yawning. Sad beige millennials are sucking the life force from the makeup world like vampires <\3

The whole "sexy goth GF" thing annoys me so bad because y'all don't even get what makes goth fashion sexy... Where are the black negligees, bustiers, and teddies? The layers of leather or PVC or lace? The ripped-up cut-up pantyhose lovingly layered to look like spiderwebs? The chains, the gaudy jewelry, and the ring belts? Where's the beautiful makeup influenced by your fave songs or artists? Where's the hair lovely done to express how you felt in the moment? Goth fashion is very DIY, It's SUPPOSED to have a homegrown feel that oozes personality. It's supposed to be more than just copying somebody you think looks cool. It's supposed to be a means of self-expression. The excited feeling you get while dressing up for a concert or a goth night that literally radiates off of your look for the night? That? That's sexy. That's Goth.

i dont know what to add that others havent said better except like. keep discussing the mistreatment of ray. like keep posts circling bc we all have these serious discussions every few months then people pat themselves on the back and move on, changing nothing. the racism surrounding rays place in fandom and how fan culture has treated him is and has been ongoing for as long as theres been mcr fandom and its gonna continue if we dont actually deal w it head on
