thank u for asking omg !!!! i have 3 worldstates loosely planned out which is a Lot for me since i have a tendency to get deeply (perhaps pathologically) attached to one worldstate and one pc lol. but im being brave abt it !

worldstate 1 is my canon worldstate, and the overarching theme for it is self-mythology/loss of personhood. i wont go into detail since i yap enough abt them already lol but i have elspeth (warrior f!cousland romancing alistair) cillian (a rogue m!hawke romancing anders) and ashara (a mage f!lavellan romancing/redeeming solas) all going into datv head first. my canon datv pc will likely be an elven archer f!rook romancing either davrin or taash hehe <3

second worldstate is all mages and obv thats the main theme i wanna have fun with

lucander amell (he/him, blood mage and spirit healer, romances morrigan) unassuming, distant, and polite and also kind of unnerving. used to being seen as a bad guy and is willing to act accordingly, but otherwise is a pretty decent, honorable man. does morrigan's ritual, kills the archdemon, leaves alistair a grey warden. doesn't become warden commander in awakening bc he goes into hiding from the wardens before they can ask too many questions abt the ritual and why hes still alive. he tracks down morrigan in the hopes of protecting her, and then stays with her and their son after that.

cecilia hawke (she/her, spirit healer mage, romances fenris) a blue!hawke who's sweet and motherly and soft spoken and has an enormous guilt complex/self hate for being a mage lol. carver joins the templars, and she later sides with them in act 3 and kills anders which </3 anyways. she survives here lies the abyss in dai and hopefully goes on to attend biweekly couples therapy with fenris <3

thomasin trevelyan (SOFTEST of launches on that name) (she/her, knight enchanter mage, romances cullen. maybe.) socially adept, politically cunning, with a love for the game and a desire to regain her place within the trevelyan family nobility. sides with the mages, doesn't drink from the well, negotiates a truce between celene/gaspard/briala, pardons the wardens, redeems solas, disbands the inquisition post trespasser. shes a good girl and she's got her head on straight!

might do a qunari f!rook mage to romance taash or davrin for datv! we'll see !

lastly my third worldstate places value on the eluvians so its very elfy or at least elf-adjacent. and also the lineage of ameridan > garahel > maherial and so on. i just think its neat . still VERY much underdeveloped tho so no names yet

Dragon Age OCs: Aderyn Hawke

ADERYN HAWKE

Mage, Spirit Healer specialization

Aderyn is the bluest of blue Hawkes (and the one attached to Simon and Rory’s world). She’s a sweet and serious person; for her, her magic is a heavy responsibility that she tries to be very careful with. She is a little puzzled how trying to help and protect her family gradually ended up with her taking responsibility for the whole city. She has a habit of burying her fears and angers, so a lot of people tend to see her as eternally calm and chill.

Aderyn was very close to her sister and misses her greatly. Carver was always a more challenging relationship; they both try to protect the other, and irritate each other while doing so. Carver became a Templar, which Aderyn found exasperating. She’s fairly close to Aveline and Varric, and friendly with Merrill; she always worried about Anders, and found it harder and harder to trust him over time. She thought Isabela was a good friend, and was dismayed when she fled the city during the Qunari uprising. (I did not manage to get Isabela’s friendship high enough for her to return.)

Aderyn developed a crush on Fenris almost immediately. Pursuing with him seemed almost impossible, but she dared to flirt nonetheless, and ends up very happy with him. I also like to imagine them having chidren very quickly.

Olivyr Hawke, born 9:06, the unwilling Champion of Kirkwall.

He’s a blood mage and a spirit healer. Olivyr tries desperately to keep the peace in Kirkwall and fails on pretty much every front. Only in Act 3 does Olivyr start taking a hard pro-mage stance. It’s after the fact that Olivyr comes to the realization Anders’ actions at the chantry were necessary and peace was never going to be an option.

Olivyr romanced Fenris. After the events of DA2, he tried to convince Fenris to leave–fearing retribution and unable to handle losing another loved one–but Fenris refused. They travelled together for a couple years, helping and freeing those they could. 

Varric tips Olivyr off about the Inquisition searching for him. Olivyr most definitely does not want to be the Inquisitor. He couldn’t even save his family. He never wanted to be the Champion. He kinda resents the title. He wouldn’t be able to handle the responsibility of the world. Olivyr probably invites Varric to run away with him and Fenris, Varric refused.

When Varric tells him about Corypheus, Olivyr knows he doesn’t have a choice anymore. He can’t handle the idea of bringing Fenris into danger like this and though it’s difficult to convince Fenris, they separate for the time being. Fenris continues on his mission of freeing people from Tevinter Magisters. Olivyr goes to finish what he started. 

Olivyr Hawke survives the events of Inquisition and reunites with Fenris.

Aridhel Mahariel - bow rogue, romanced Zevran, straightforward dalish who neither understands nor cares about shemlen (or durgenlen) politics, blood magic is probably fine as long as you use it responsibly, anxious and blunt. "Let's focus on stopping the world-ending plague of darkspawn first, and worry about the rest of this bullshit later, hm?"

Saffron Cousland - sword and shield warrior, romanced Alistair, noble in every sense of the word but cheerful and friendly, Queen of Ferelden, Arlessa of Amaranthine (and Highever), killed Rendon Howe with her father's sword, fixated on duty. "Because it's the right thing to do."

Theodore Amell - arcane warrior mage, romanced Morrigan, bastardization arc powered by Morrigan whispering bad ideas in his ear, loves his terrible witch girlfriend, blood magic is fine and the chantry is oppressive, ambitious. "I am no longer baby, now I want power."

Renan Tabris - dagger rogue, romanced Leliana, exactly zero patience for shem politics, raised Andrastian (derogatory), canonically kind of a bitch, evil sense of humor, loves her stupid new shem baby brother, harden everyone, distrustful. "Like dogs, Shianni."

Valda Aeducan - two handed warrior, romanced Leliana, honorable and serious, trusts no one, girl raised in harsh political nonsense learns to trust her found family and forgive her bio family while unlearning bad lessons simulator, sneaky/quiet sense of humor, intense loyalty to her people, values tradition but values compassion more, genuinely regrets what happened with Trian. "For the honor of my house, though I myself have neither house nor honor."

Emmaera Surana - blood mage spirit healer, romanced Alistair, fey and strange, sweet but a little out of it, she and Merrill would get along so well because they both just say what they mean, falls for Ali like a ton of bricks after trusting him exactly 0% at first, has a council of spirits that advise her, definitely more than a little possessed, Templars aggro on sight, besties with Morrigan. "The Chantry won't tell you anything useful about the Fade, but I could. If you want."

Ashaterylen Mahariel - champion fighter, loves Morrigan but it's complicated, aggressive and no-nonsense, adopts Alistair as her comic relief to fill Tamlen's shoes, Not Okay™ but doing a good job regardless, my only warden who straight up dies, but we still get Kieran because magic, rather laconic, probably my most heavily headcanoned origins character. "Duty trumps sentiment. Every time."

Hawkes

Iris Hawke - knife rogue, romanced Anders, diplomatic but also way too intense for her own good, loves mages so much, circle mage Bethany, will do anything to protect what's left of her family, noble impulses but awful sense of humor, fanatic, very angry underneath her shell of politeness, diplomacy as a tool. "Why don't we try asking the Arishok nicely?"

Ian Hawke - elemental mage, romanced Fenris, sarcastic, sided with the templars because magic is an essential part of him but it's brought nothing but grief to him and his family, templar Carver, quip for every situation, never loses his positive outlook for long, self-loathing but doing his best not to make that everyone's problem. "Dad did WHAT for the Wardens? Why am I not surprised."

Kiera Hawke - two-handed warrior, romanced Isabella, sarcastic → aggressive, sad bastard warrior Hawke, everyone who gets close to her dies, Bethany dies, good attitude wrecked by the wear and tear of life, loves her buddies who are also terrible, angry and broken. "You tell me where Bartrand is, I'll help you wring his fucking neck"

Alice Hawke - knife rogue, romanced Merrill, circle mage Bethany, p much pure diplomatic, diplomacy as a way of life, mom friend central, no one is irredeemable, far too trusting, kind of a busybody, always thinks she knows best. "Clean your blades, watch your purse strings, don't be a dick."

Delilah Hawke - entropy mage, in love with Varric, pure sarcasm, sends Carver to the wardens, adores her stupid chaotic bisexual family, beat down by this world but stubbornly clinging to joy, flat refuses to talk about her problems. "Where would I be without my trusty dwarf?"

Quinn Hawke - blood mage, romances Anders, red from the beginning, low-key an asshole but also high-key he just doesn't know how to communicate, oldest sibling syndrome turned up to 11, inspired by Harker Zevsurana's Kier, fuck you mage rights. "Well, shit."

Andy Hawke - force mage, romances Anders and Fenris (it's complicated), strong purple laugh-or-cry type, so many canon alterations but the twins both live, grows a lot over the course of the campaign, big fuck the chantry, uses their staff as a polearm bc they're not great at magic, easily my most headcanoned Hawke. "Have any of you guys considered having a normal reaction to anything? Ever? Didn't think so."

Inquisitors

Miriani Lavellan - assassin bow rogue, romanced Solas, confused hardass Dalish girl doing her very best to navigate suddenly being in charge of all of this stuff, cares so much about everyone all the time, terrified but resigned to her responsibilities, self-sacrificing, sense of humor buried under all that sincerity. "I am the Inquisitor, through no virtue of my own. Vir suledin nadas."

Asher Adaar - two-handed warrior, romanced Sera/nobody (bc I meant to romance Sera but didn't know the right dialogue options so I kept waiting for it to pan out and it just sorta didn't), blunt and direct Tal-Vashoth mercenary who gets persuaded that maybe she actually is the herald of andraste, but honestly just wants to handle the things with as little religious and/or political nonsense as possible, blunt and violent. "We save Thedas TWICE, my hand wants to kill me, we save the exalted council specifically, and this is what we get?"

Stephan Trevelyan - rift mage, romanced Cassandra, a good sweet Andrastian boy, true prophet who has a meltdown when he finds out about Solas, best friends with Dorian, keeps the inquisition and wants to really save the world, a genuine idealist, stubborn AF. "Faith is a choice. The Maker set these events in motion so long ago we can no longer see His hand in them."

Samahl Lavellan - tempest knife rogue, romances Dorian, cheerful, sarcastic, and overwhelmed, insanely competent but good at hiding it, terrible little bastard, hates responsibilities, laughs in the face of danger (and Cassandra), keeps insisting he's not the Herald, kinda lazy. "I guess I'm learning now, aren't I, Mother?"

Riska Cadash - artificer knife rogue, romances Sera, direct and sometimes brutal but ultimately caring, criminal upbringing noble fashion sense, besties with Blackwall, andrastian and confused, consistently astonished by how easy it is to get things when you're the most important person in the world, one of my younger inquisitors but she doesn't act like it very often, really only when she's with Sera. "What's the worst that could happen?"

Dahlia Trevelyan - mortalitasi lightning mage, romances Blackwall, cheerfully irreverent young noblewoman flexing the edges of what she's allowed in this new role, filled with chaos and violence and entitlement. Fully does not believe in the Maker. Classically beautiful but with blue-gold eyes that go past "striking" into "genuinely unsettling" and, she caught some shrapnel from a spell gone wrong with her face a few years back so she's got distinctive scars. "Hey, look, at least dragons are real."

The Trio (all of whom have individual playthroughs but also come as a set)

Isene Lavellan - fire/rift mage, romances Iron Bull, primarily jokes and asks questions, basically a horrible mix of Miriani and Samahl. Sweet and a bit of a brat but ultimately up to the challenge. A disaster at the winter palace. Her general response to her workload getting heavier is to adjust the straps that hold the world on her back and carry on with a smile. "Bull, remind me why I accepted this job? Oh, right."

Harea Lavellan - knight enchanter and ice mage, romances Cullen, open minded and sweet, a bit naive but genuinely wants to make the world better, distressed by the mark and the everything but willing to bear it to keep others from suffering. Self sacrifice is a big theme here. Just a little (read: protected like Wynne) possessed by the actual spirit (of Wrath) who was attendant upon andraste, so she is quite literally the Herald. "No one is irredeemable!"

Rogelan Lavellan - sword and shield warrior, romances Josephine, kind of a hard-ass but willing to be romantic, would rather talk than fight but won't give up his ideals, careful and deliberate in everything he does but bold when he's made a decision. Stoic and pithy, but can be eloquent if he needs to. Understands shem bullshit better than most, because he's the kind of guy who studies the things that scare him. "Tell me how to help."

1.) What was the first Dragon Age game you played?

Origins! It was so hard for me when I played it I had to switch from rogue to mage at first because I sucked at gaming. I specked Sten as a glass canon because I didn't know how to distribute points efficiently. I died so so many time on Normal setting. But I put in so many hours I still grew to love it and creating 3 Worldstates and a Multi-Warden AU around it,

4.) What does your worldstate look like going into DAV?

Worldstate 1:

Blue Surana: Fire Mage/Arcane Warrior, no romance, Alistair and Anora married and they are co-ruling Ferelden, Conscripted Loghain, Loghain is Kieran's father in Ritual, Saves the Keep and Amaranthine in Awakening,

Akono Hawke: Ice Mage/Spirit Healer, Purple, Carver became a Grey Warden, Sided with mages, Helped Anders fake his death/execution with an illusion blade (to save him and so he’d become a martyr the mage rebellion could idolize), I headcanon he and husband Fenris have joined the Shadow Dragons to help freed slaves.

Helios Adaar: Lightning Mage/Necromancer, Recruited the Mages, Declared Inquisition for Faith, Loghain left in The Fade, probably (?) Cassandra Romance, and will make Leliana divine. I still gotta finish Inquisition and Trespaser tbh.

7.) Which character from the previous games or other media are you most hoping will make an appearance in DAV?

Anyone from DA2 (in addition to Varric) please I'm begging for Kirkwall Crew crumbs. Or at least give me more Hawke + romanced option lore (if not left in the Fade).

16.) What’s one crack theory you subscribe to (yours or someone else’s)?

The Grey Wardens have already found the cure for the Calling or are very close and Rook will help fit the last piece. I need happy endings for this faction please I'm begging.

took me a while to think of a Hawke to romance Bela with, but i'm thinking like a princess themed Hawke who was named after Anora who has a like knight enchanter spec type deal going. she has persistent romantic fantasies about being whisked away from her tower and the stifling heteronormativity of noble life by a dashing lady pirate. this annoys the everloving shit out of Bela. a relationship that would make a good foil to whatever the fuck is going on with Bethie and Sebastian, I think.

This also def the playthrough where I pass over recruiting Fenris (for calling my dear sister Bethie a snake in the grass) and where I kick Anders out of the party (for being a stinky sewer man who hits on my obnoxiously pearl clutchy lesbian Hawke) and then also stab him at the end of the game in order to make my brother-in-law happy. (it's fine. Anders is immortal anyhow.) Just mulling over in my head whether it would be better to functionally play what I'm imagining as knight enchanter/dnd paladin as the warrior templar spec or the mage spirit healer spec. I've never played warrior in DA2 before so that might be fun. And obviously I'd have to change Hawke's class in the console after bethie made it out of the prologue alive if I decide go with mage hawke. But if I'm kicking Anders to the curb considering I might want a character that can heal since Merrill def won't be doing that.

BASICS - Mage (Force Mage/Spirit Healer) - Sarcastic - Pro-Templar - 25 yrs old - When they were really young and just learning to speak neither Bethany nor Carver could pronounce her name properly so they simply called her Addie--that nickname stuck and endures. :P

APPEARANCE - 5'7"  - Body type can best be described as bony; doesn’t have much of a shape and is very flat chested. She’d probably never admit it, but her small bust and (to her) perceived lack of an ‘attractive’ figure is a huge source of insecurity to her, particularly when she compares herself to Isabela. - Very pasty. Was a very colicky and sickly baby prone to frequent yet minor illnesses. She doesn't get a lot of sun either. - Is one of those people who just always looks tired?? - She's a bit apathetic when it comes to her appearance so her clothes aren't very well looked after. - Resting bitch face

PERSONALITY  - Hates being a mage. She resents that her family could never stay in one place for too long, and even though she wasn't the only mage in the family, she often blamed herself for their frequent moves, despite reassurance to the contrary. Her hatred of her own talents begins to soften as DA2 progresses--encountering several examples of truly terrible mages has a way of convincing even the most self-deprecating person that they themselves are actually not so bad--and by the end of DA2 her relationship with her magic is more like a love/hate one than simply a hate one. - Introverted and not very good with people. She isn't shy per se, moreso convinced by default that people won't like her, so she doesn't really bother. - Very hypocritical when it comes to the subject of mages. She's confident enough in her abilities that she can resist possession and doesn't need the Circle but other mages? She's not convinced. With the exception of Ella and Emile de Launcet she doesn't hesitate to hand other mages over to the Circle. Her own resentment of magic colours her opinion of other mages without her even realising it. - All that being said, she's not a bad person. She doesn't support the Templars because 'mwahaha evil' but because she genuinely fears the power of magic and believes the Circle serves a very important purpose; saving mages from themselves and ensuring they can't hurt others. - She's absolutely one of those people who gets reluctantly dragged to gatherings by friends but ends up having the best time

I made my two main playthrough protags in Hero Forge. More about them under the cut.

Valek Tabris: Rogue (assassin/duelist/shadow). Romanced Morrigan, best friends with Alistair and Zevran, killed Loghain himself but made Anora queen cause he knew Alistair didn't want it.

Greer Hawke: Mage (spirit healer/force mage) and a purple Hawke. Romances Fenris, left Carver in Kirkwall so he became a templar. Killed Anders bit obviously sided with the mages.

Amarantha Lavellan: Mage (knight enchanter. Modded to have a battle axe weapon). Romanced Cullen. Went to the templars but forced them to join rather than have them as true allies. Best friends with Dorian, Cole, and Bull. Major elven history buff. Disbanded the Inquisition and vowed to stop Solas any means necessary.

Alara Surana: Mage (blood mage/arcane warrior/shapeshifter). Romanced Zevran. Tried and failed to save Jowan resulting in him being sent back to the circle. Sick of the world resulting to eye for an eye revenge she spares Loghain and makes him a warden, putting Alistair and Anora on the thrown. Headcanon that she's not just searching for a cure for the Calling but also Tranquility.

Gwyneth Hawke: Rogue (assassin/shadow). Romanced Merrill. Left Bethany in Kirkwall so she became a circle mage. Extremely supportive of mage rights. Considers herself responsible for the safety of all those around her. Killed Anders but obviously sided with the mages.

Rana Lavellan: Rogue (assassin). Romanced Solas. Went to the mages, forming a true alliance with them. Finds elven history fascinating but ultimately pointless in everyday life, cares more for her people's future than their past. The ultimate mom friend. Closest to Dorian, Cole, Bull, Varric, and Blackwall. Disbanded the Inquisition and vowed to save Solas from himself (but I headcanon that if it does come down to it and she realizes she can't save him she will stop him whatever means necessary).

Thank you for wonderful insight about your DA2 experience. I think it's unavoidable to see spoilers for older video games. I actually didn't pay much attention to Anders in the beginning even during Awakening and only bring him along because he was the only healer in the game. The same happened to 2. I, too also romanced Fenris in my first run because I saw many nice fanarts about him and people said that he has a nice voice (they're not wrong). Fast forward I romanced Anders in a second run and I ended up romancing him most of the time, and he ended up as my main Hawke's romance. I still love my broody boy but something about Handers gave me more brainrot than any DA pair. Not only because Anders has a large narrative role in Act 3 but it's the "me and you against the world" vibes, the parallels between their relationship and Hawke's parents, Justice being able to experience love similar to Aura and Kristoff, and the angst of a mage falling in love. I keep seeing posts that they're unhealthy and Hawke is acting more like a caregiver more than his lover (the worst interpretation because it implies that mentally ill people are a burden to their loved ones), but I don't share those views at all. I actually do like the idea of both Hawke and Anders willing to give up their personal comfort and happiness just so other mages can be free. In a world like Thedas, there's no assurance that Hawke's wealth and status is enough to protect their loved ones (or even themselves as a mage) forever, even Anders ask this in question to Hawke in Act 2, and Merideth felt like she was waiting for Hawke to slip in Act 3. Even if they would never have a normal life, Hawke is used to be on the run because of their family's circumstances, and I felt like being in Kirkwall placed their family in more danger. Well at least that's how I feel after Leandra dying. I also enjoy there are differences between a mage and non-mage Anders romance, I just usually go for mage pairs because I like giving the chantry a headache. I still do wish the in game romance was written better and actually involve Justice (my poor spirit is just a plot device) though I blame the rush development. Also why can I not give him a cat instead of that amulet? Also why can I give Fenris, Isabella and Merril two gifts and he only gets one? And why does the friendmance ending get no kiss at the Gallows but the templar ending gets one? I'll just pretend the mod that brings it to the friendship one is canon.

People can play these games however they want — I can understand the draw of an angst-ridden tragedy, and if people want to headcanon their Andersmance as a "doomed romance" or whatever, that's their business, but to me, the Andersmance has always been far more compelling as a story about hope.

The love story where Hawke and Anders work hand-in-hand to overturn a centuries-old oppressive status quo, spark a revolution, and fight for freedom is infinitely more powerful and hopeful than any interpretation of the Andersmance where Hawke undermines, downplays, or invalidates Anders’ cause or struggles.

I prefer stories about kindness and bravery, about overcoming insurmountable odds, about being a light in the darkness. That's story that Anders' character and the Andersmance offered me. Anders suffered his whole life — being torn away from his loving home as a child, constantly being told he was a monster while growing up in the Circle, watching helplessly as his his lover Karl was cruelly taken away from him, watching his people being beaten, abused and mistreated — and to me, it is a story of hope and healing when you play the game as a Hawke who stands by his side, gladly fights alongside him, regards mages as people, listens to him with compassion, and sees his cause as important and just and necessary.

And the overarching theme of "hope" extends even beyond the scope of their relationship: When Anders says, “Ten years, a hundred years from now, someone like me will love someone like you, and there would be no templars to tear them apart,” I wish more people realized how significant those words were. Anders was not fighting for just himself and Hawke's happiness; he was fighting to make the world safe for every other mage, and there's something very deeply noble and relentlessly compassionate in that. I wish more people appreciated that about him. It seems strange and tragic to me that such a big aspect of his character and his motivations is so often overlooked.

And you pointed out something very important, about the significance of Justice in Anders’ life. I admit, I used to believe that Justice was a corrupting influence on Anders at first, but after some time replaying DA Awakening and reading meta on the characters, I have come to completely change my mind: I like the story of Justice being Anders’ strongest ally, who backs him up and validates him, and gives him strength and conviction. I love exploring the positive aspects and potential of their partnership — because again, it becomes a narrative of hope.

You’re also absolutely right in the Andersmance sorely lacking content! 😓 I installed the Anders Dialogue Overhaul mod for the Anders Gallows kiss on the friendship path. And even though I can’t actually give him a cat, there’s the Sleeping Cat for Anders mod that adds a cat to his clinic, and we can just headcanon that Hawke got it for him, haha! 😂❤️

It was an interesting setting; I don't read that many fics with a world state where the Hero of Ferelden is kind of a jerk. This fic really tugged at my heartstrings, reminding me that Anders spent a whole year in solitary confinement.

MUD AND SAND and its sequel GODS OF ANTIVA by spicyshimmy. Tevinter AU, non-Justice Anders.

The former has its own fic rec post here. Both were originally written as a fill on the DA kinkmeme, so expect some kinky scenes. I thought it a very interesting look into what it means to trade one form of slavery for the other, and how restless Anders might become in a society that practices inequality even though he personally might not be victimized by that form of inequality.

Dragon Age Playthrough Generator

I recently decided to do a new playthrough of the Dragon Age series, but I didn't want to just play the same way I always do. So I decided to let the dice decide for me.

The results turned out interesting enough that I decided to create a Google Doc to help other people set up randomized playthroughs for themselves.

I ended up with a pro-templar run, pretty much all the way through. I also ended up with two romances I've never done (Anders and Sera) and one that I don't usually go for (Alistair).

The Warden and Hawke are going to have really bad romantic lives, by the looks of it (Alistair gets hooked up with Anora, and Hawke kills Anders). At least the Inquisitor should be okay.

Keeping Wynne onside will be tricky. I'll have to do the Redcliffe/Sacred Ashes quests before Broken Circle, or else she'll leave my party, and I can't have that.

Top 5 Dragon Age characters? (I know nothing about dragon age plz tell me abt ur faves)

1. Dorian Pavus - A necromancer mage from the 3rd game, Inquisition. He’s gay and the first character I romanced and my favorite romance option so far! He’s funny and witty and loves to read. He’s a mage from Tevinter (a place that kinda sucks but he cares very deeply about his home and wants to go back and make it better. He has a lot of family trauma due to him being gay as his father disowned him and at one point tried to put him through fantasy conversion therapy. I have legit cried over him

2. Cole - Also from Inquisition, he is a rogue and a compassion spirit! You have the choice later in the game to either help him become more human or embrace being a spirit fully. He’s like young adult and very sweet and helpful! Also he’s based off one of the writers’ autistic nephews! Unfortunately he is not one of the love interests

3. Anders - A love interest from the second game and another mage! This one’s a healer tho! He fused with a spirit of justice that eventually became vengeance bc of Anders’ anger. He leads the mage rebellion in the city of Kirkwall which ultimately leads to the bug confrontation at the end of the game as he does smth kinda drastic. He’s a bisexual romance option and the first mission for him is him having to kill his old lover who has been lobotomized. He’s protective and sad and very kind and passionate.

4. Fenris - Also from the Second game and also a bisexual romance option. He’s an elf and a warrior, and was a slave to high ranking Tevinter mage before he escaped. He is tracking down his old master in order to kill him and be free of him. He hates all mages and thus hates Anders who he is always arguing with. He’s very reserved and withdraw and broody but really sweet on the inside

5. Cassandra Pentaghast - A hetero romance option from Inquisition though she Should have been wlw or at least bi. She’s a warrior and the creator of the inquisition which you end up leading. She’s stubborn, loves romance books, is super tough but also caring. She’s also really religious but in a chill way and really hard on herself. She used to be the right hand of the Divine, this continent’s religious/world leader, and you start the game off as Cassandra’s prisoner because she thinks you killed the Divine
