          the usual warmth and friendly tone that surrounded the teacher’s voice was gone, instead replaced with a curt, cold sound that practically dripped with condescension. he’d seen the guy before him around-- in particular, he’d seen him hanging around a certain someone, and that alone was enough to piss gou off.

“i’ve got to prep for art club, kid, so make it fast.”
