Sirius' Lycanroc (Dusk form) is unusually aggressive. Its temper similar to the Midnight form more than its own

James' Sawsbuck (Autumn form) is haughty and proud, oftentimes showing reckless aggression even towards other dangerous, powerful pokemon

Remus' Lycanroc (Midnight form) was once wild and aggressive, but overtime it mellows down and becomes more subdued; though it never loses its aggression when provoked

Peter's Raticate displays starting intellect among the other Raticates. However, its intelligence does not override its meekness

The two Lycanroc's eyes being different colors than the official art are deliberate!

In Moony's case it's to reference the werewolf Moony's glowing eyes, while in Padfoot's case it's to retain a part of Rockruff, its previous evolution

Fun Fact(s): Started as an idea for an ask blog about a weird Archen who lives in an abandoned underground base. Originally was set in the regular Pokémon world with humans, he was just a weirdo who walked on his wings. He then got redesigned into Archen/Zorua mix.

Fun Fact(s): Created alongside Raiko but actually had something written down about them: The idea was a kelpie, or similar water creature inspired Vaporeon. The name is Finnish for river, but apparently also how you'd spell the word for vapor in Japanese with the Latin script. Very fitting for a Vaporeon. Later decided for them to be a Vaporeon variant with Water/Grass typing.

Fun Fact(s): The one whose colours I struggled the most with. I could have gone for autumnal yellow orange brown, but I simply don't like those colours much so I went with shiny version so it would work with the greens better. The turquoise came from not wanting to use the brown of Leafeon and the purple of shiny Ninetales didn't work well so I went with something entirely different instead.

Fun Fact(s): Started from an idea to fuse my two favourite legendaries together. I made a custom preset in Feral Heart to make the idea true many years ago. Though I have no idea what the character's name was, as all of that is gone, I had some images saved. The name is just first thing I thought of when mixing some of the letters from the legendaries together. For this story though I decided to use Zygarde's 10% instead of the 50% I used originally, so it's a new design.

Endlessly kind and caring, always working hard to make sure everyone is happy, even to the point of neglecting their own well-being.

Fun Fact(s): Idea that started as me realizing I wanted a legendary but none of the existing matching with the theme and design I like together. Eventually worked out as a way of explaining the eggs. The name is just space related word + canine related word that felt like they worked well enough together.

Used to enjoy his job and working together with Astrolupe, but grew bitter as Pokémon began seeing death as a terrible thing. It withdrew from Astrolupe, though they were the only one who truly loved it. Struggling with the various negative emotions led to him striking at Astrolupe.

Fun Fact(s): Counterpart to Astrolupe that didn't exist at first but realized I might as well make and went from there. The name is Cyg from the first known black hole Cygnus X-1 (abbreviated Cyg X-1) + nova from supernova. I somehow accidentally gave both of them exactly 4 tails without meaning to. I just drew tails till I felt it was a good number. Apparently that number was exactly 4.

I kept the name even if it's a bit strange as an actual name. Decided to add them as another side character to show up in the story.

Any tips on the Deerling line? I see them wandering around in the woods near my house pretty often, and I love the way their coats change color- but I’m hesitant to commit to catching and training one since I’m unfamiliar with their needs.

A shy and nervous pokemon with a sweet nature underneath.

General notes: Deerling are fairly widespread pokemon, though with how shy they are you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise. However, they do have a reputation as pests.

General care: Deerling are better for people in rural areas, as they need a good sized paddock to roam around in. This paddock should have a warm dry stable, a source of fresh water, and a source of shade, ideally trees. You'll need very high fencing, as deerling and sawsbuck are capable of jumping very high. Many supply shops sell deerling fences that are around 2 metres high. So there's a fair set up cost involved in securing the enclosure.

And you'll have to, because deerling are considered pests for a good reason. They'll descend on gardens and paddocks and strip them bare. Even a small herd can be destructive. And as many farmers have lycanrocs for herd defence, it's in your best interest and the deerlings to keep them under lock and key, as it isn't illegal for farmers to, uh..."deal with" deerling that are damaging their property.

You'll need other pokemon around, as deerling get anxious alone. Other deerling are best, but other farm pokemon such as miltank, wooloo, mudsdale etc can make good friends with them.

If you have just a back yard, don't despair. You can still set up fences, but the smaller space will need more toys and enrichment, and you'll have to supplement with pellets. A backyard deerling also benefits from being harness trained and taken for walks. You'll only be able to keep one deerling, so long as you have other pokemon in your team.

Bonding with them isn't hard, they're food orientated, and a few weeks of treats and head scratches will have them friendly as anything. Be prepared, though, as they headbutt those they like. And it hurts.

If you see them near you in the woods, you can get quite friendly with them. But secure your property if you don't want them following you and destroying your garden en masse.

Sawsbuck need more food, but as well they have different tempers in each season. If you want to tame a sawsbuck, the winter form is calmer. Do not, under any circumstances, approach the males in autumn. Care rating: Orange.

Training: Deerling can be obstinate. They aren't exactly the smartest pokemon around, as well, but they aren't impossible to train, and respond well to food as an incentive. Training rating: Green.

Safety: When I said do not approach the male sawsbuck in autumn, I meant it. This is the season they fight for mates, and their hormones run rampant. People have died.

Deerling themselves are fairly safe for people. They may headbutt when playful or annoyed, but despite it being a little painful, they can't really do much damage. Safety rating: Green (red in autumn)

Overall ranking. Like many livestock pokemon, deerling require a fair amount of work and space. They're often sweet natured once you get past their shyness, but they're the living embodiment of the phrase "good fences make good neighbours".

The October air was unseasonably warm, but any day the waves and weather will turn as the Empress exerts her command for the Winter.

There were a few other people around. Her fellow end-of-season Rangers and a handful of campers willing to brave the cold autumn nights. Squid looked over at one visitor who had set down a plastic water bottle to take a picture with their friends.

When they didn't return to pick it up, she spoke out. "Hey, that bottle better be joining us on the ferry." The tourist gave a quiet apology and retrieved the bottle.

Spring Form: Deerling have different scents depending on the season. In early spring, these Pokemon give off a delicate, sweet, and calming scent. Despite Deerling's adorable appearance, farmers consider it a nuisance since it loves plant shoots and will eat them all up.

Summer Form: To prevent Deerling from entering their fields, many farmers will have several Lycanroc stand guard, as they are the natural enemy of Deerling. Deerling have different scents depending on the season. When a distinct grassy smell starts to waft from one, you know that summer has begun.

Winter Form: Deerling’s scent changes with the seasons, but when the Pokemon is in its Winter Form, it has hardly any scent at all. This Pokemon will playfully headbutt those it gets along well with. It has antlers hidden under its flower, so the headbutts are a little painful.

Autumn Form: These Pokemon are not shy—they will behave as they please, even in front of people. If you feed one of them, it will quickly take a liking to you. Deerling have different scents depending on the season. In this form, Deerling have a softly sweet scent that lingers in the nose.

The paler the pink flowers that bloom on its antlers, the more beautiful the Sawsbuck is considered to be.

Summer Form: There are many Sawsbuck enthusiasts. The thicker and larger the branches and leaves on its antlers, the more majestic the Sawsbuck is thought to be. This Pokemon's leaves can be made into a black tea, the taste of which varies depending on the region of origin. Paldea's is especially aromatic.

Autumn Form: There are many Sawsbuck enthusiasts. The darker the red of the foliage that hangs from its antlers, the more stylish the Sawsbuck is thought to be. Sawsbuck in their Autumn Form are known for having very short tempers. The males fight each other incessantly.

Winter Form: It’s said that Sawsbuck are calm and easy to tame during the season when they take on this form, so it’s the perfect time to make one your partner. Though there are many enthusiasts for Sawsbuck as a species, this seasonal form in particular is not very popular.

Are they any wc characters that you see as certain Pokémon? For me I see Squilf as Emolga, Sparkpelt as Luxio, Alderheart as Sawsbuck (autumn form specifically), Needletail as Cacturne and Yellowfang as Drapion. I have a couple others but I don't wanna make this too long.

-- Drabble: Aftermath Talking

The autumn winds had set in by the time everything had come to a conclusion with the two events across the multiverse and returning from the Kitakami region, and while Grusha had settled in well enough to his routine yet again, Kianga and Ruko had spent more time together with the hybrid helping Ruko out where needed... Ashe felt she had left some things unresolved with her beloved.

He had returned officially from Galar late last night and she had been asleep by the time he had gotten up. Wandering the grounds on the back of Oberon, the woman soon found him in the midst of grooming and polishing up his Lycanroc, Cavall. Sliding off of the Rapidash, Ashe pet his muzzle and placed a kiss to it before he turned and stepped away, leaving Ashe to stop and watch Leon who was oddly quiet.

"... Leon?"

Cavall rose his head, tail wagging at the sight of Ashe, and Leon slowly turned his head, offering a small smile after a bit. "Yeah, love?" She took a few steps towards him but she stopped when she caught wind of his emotions; tired, wanting to rest... not unhappy but... not energetic. Was he sick? Ashe's eyes shifted rapidly as she tried to get a lock on what she used as a mental pillar but it became a bit too difficult to manage and she took a step back.

"-- Ashe?" He got to his feet as the woman rose her hand for him to stop. She shook her head and sighed softly. "-- Just a Sylveon moment." Her way of saying she had picked up on his emotions. Moving over to her then, he guided her over to sit beneath a tree with him. "We're not on the same page right now, aren't we?" She asked, her gaze shifting to look at him which a struck look appeared on his features then. A frown followed as Cavall came over and laid beside them. "... Well, I don't know... Are we?" He asked in return. Both looked at one another and Ashe's neutral expression turned into a tired one.

"I just know you're tired... Tell me what else is bothering you?" She held out her hand in which he took, pulling her against him so he could he lean his head against her own.

"... Going across different universes still baffles me -- scares me even. The thought any of us could perish so easily. I worry one day one of us won't come back." He pauses. "I also worry what happens to us when we get back. We're exhausted and barely able to stay awake before passing out. I want to see and explore the rest of this world we live in. The thrills of it, the sides I never got to experience being locked up as I felt, but... how can we do that if we keep risking it in other universes?"

Leon's points were valid and they had Ashe thinking. She desired the opposite, she knew; She loved going to these events. She loved the thrill of taking on giant monsters and letting her bond get stronger with her pokemon... but... it was also true they could easily lose someone. Closing her eyes and heaving a heavy sigh, she takes a moment before opening them and looking up at him, his amber eyes searching her own.

"Words... I'm not good with offering comfort, really, but I know that if we want to be on the same page..." she pauses. "... then we have to find something to remedy this worry and make sure nothing does happen." She pauses yet again. "I know I want to keep going to these events because you opened my eyes to the bond I never knew I had with my pokemon. I can stand against giant monsters and not be afraid because you gave me the courage to reach out to my pokemon and hold onto that bond." She stands strong and grips her resolve hard just as she reaches for his hand, gripping hold of it. "If you don't want to go with me to these events, then it's okay. I can be strong because I have you to come home too.... but i'd be equally happy if you were there too." She pauses. "This timeline needs someone to be here to explore it just as the other ones do."

That being said, Leon offers a soft sigh and a faint smile. "... Adventure never was out of the picture, and it never will be." He points out. "But... you mentioned something about finding a way to make sure we don't have anything to worry about?"

A smile bright as the sun flashed on Ashe's face that had Leon raising a brow. "It's just ideas, but I think with Donovan's help we can completely remedy the devices we already use..."

And thus she began explaining, and to at what end would be said another time...

( OOC: I don't do enough talks between the two of them but yeah I wanted to write this out as I did leave it as a bit of a cliffhanger their feelings being unsettled and not on the same page. )

Professor Kryspyn: “I don’t get many photos of my co-professor Fanalia, but when I do it’s from moment’s like this. I can only get a snap when she isn’t aware of it happening, and even then that’s difficult. So, I got lucky with this recent one while we were out-posting on one of the Rejuven islands, we decided to camp and enjoy the scenery.” 

“Only for her to fall asleep on me. *Chuckles* As you may already know, the Lucario on her left is Fanalia’s right hand man named Lucian. Loyal to the fault, and an absolute gentleman; he’s my go to guy to make sure Fanalia remembers to eat and take a break every once an awhile. The one on the right, the Lycanroc that you see there is the most sweetest boy. Aside from my Mudkip buddy of course~. Is Fanalia’s tracking and comfort buddy; so if Lucian is busy translating or doing another job, Fyl’lian is on the case should Fanalia need some comfort or tracking down something. On occasion he’s a little messenger postal deliverer, he has his own little pouch and everything!” 

“And finally the big one curled around them like a pillow, is Fanalia’s gentle giant Harlow. From what we gathered from our recent discoveries, she’s classified as an Alpha class Pokémon, which means she’s rather big for a normal Haxorus, and don’t get me started on her pretty colouring, she’s the reason we have Shiny Protection laws on our Archipelago!” 

“Anyway seeing my co-professor tired like this, reminds me back during one of our very first autumn events that we started on the Rejuven Archipelago. Back then, we didn’t have too many staff members to help even out the jobs around the island, so we were in a bit of a pickle. And due to it being a deadline, we couldn’t push the event back or even cancel it. Because this was big momentous occasion that would make or break our facility. So, it was safe to say we were spread out pretty thin. We had a few hiccups along the way, from a exploding kitchen mess from an over eager guest Pokémon Partner, to nearly a frightened stampede. Despite all that, it smoothed out eventually after the guests left, and to say the least, we were tired at the end of the day.” 

“From that day we knew we had much to learn, and that we needed more hands on board if we wanted our dream to work. So, we made the decision to hire more help, and we even started a club division called the Marauders Division. Which meant that people from different regions could Volunteer to keep an eye and ear out for any Pokémon in need of aid, or come register into one of the islands job descriptions.” 

“Even now, we still welcome people to join the Marauders Division or apply for a staff position on one of the islands in the Rejuven Archipelago, now since we have expanded. Feel free to tag us if ya Interested! We’re always open for staff or Marauder Applications!”
