My favorite thing to do in my off time is think about the dynamics of the foretellers as a family unit. And I mean c’mon— growing up being controlled by the MoM (father figure but also. Mom) with the world on your shoulders, you’d develop a sibling dynamic with the only other people who’d understand! The way you care about each other but also hate their guts, you go to bat for them against your parents but also sometimes revel in being favored, the way it can come down to us (the siblings) versus them (the parent.)

Ira and Aced both wanting to lead and butting heads, Luxu being forced to leave home, Gula being forced to find a traitor in his own family, Ava being left behind… that’s a family tragedy!!

Ventus didn’t even break top 10 in regular pat’s poll which I think really made it hit how I’m not getting the same thing out of this series as most others (I mean, obviously, look at everything I’ve ever made, but still). you’re not intrigued by the guilt of someone who found themselves in a position they’d always wanted… at the expense of someone else? the ramifications of those desires being carried out in the most violent way possible by something that mostly isn't you, but partially is? and what happens to a person when that darkness is forcibly removed, and the consequences of layers and layers of repressed memories? you gave Goofy 120 more votes than him???

so i was thinking (in light of my recent comic) about how xigbar is, in fact, disabled. and how it'd be interesting to explore the consequences of that. so i started looking into what it's like to live with monocular vision, what the challenges are, how to cope with them.

and i noticed something, in one of the articles i read.

and that made something click for me.

there are quite a few differences between the braig and xigbar models. some are more subtle than others. there's one i'd always chalked up to a difference in age or level of activity. but no.

he's been getting a workout.

controversial opinion maybe but I hope when Lauriam and Elrena show up again they continue to use the scythe and knives instead of keyblades because those were so cool. and probably more of a long shot but I also hope that Luxu only saves No Name for special occasions and sticks with the arrowguns, or if not that he gets extremely weird with his keyblade fighting style
