Long story short KC is actually my avatar and his general design is always the same no matter where he goes, but his color palette always includes orange, Greys and.... Black and gold. Ive been trapped on his masquerade outfit shades because Lucio's dumb ass just HAD to change his palette from his white and reds...

so I really like having established that Rosie is a very, very paranoid person when it comes to Julian's safety (which is understandable if we're being honest.) But it also means that there are two different ways you could interpret this small scene. Either those merchants were wearing old Lucio merch and she was right, or, she was wrong and is just so riddled with anxiety that the way the sun glinted off some ordinary buttons convinced her without a doubt that they posed an immediate threat to Julian if they saw him.

How do you draw Abodes Dreads/Braids? I'm a black creator and still (embarrassingly) struggle with them in the arcana style. (And in general XD) the way you draw her is gorgeous. And I must know the magic you poses.

Nothing to be embarrassed for! Unfortunately there's not much reference for black hair in the Arcana, so we all have to guess. I'd highly recommend looking at @kianamaiart and Simkray's hair brushes for other examples of stylising black hair (if anyone has examples of black hair in angular art styles, please share!!)

Dreads and braids are both segmented styles which makes their basic construction similar, however dreads are stiffer and hang less than braids, which are quite heavy

She usually pulls her hair back so I only have to pay attention to the hairline, but I draw each dread as a somewhat stiff tube. Where it connects to the scalp I feather in short, fine lines for the edges/thin hair that's attached to the skin.

To show the twisted texture of dreads, I add curved lines along each one. For me, this is a good balance of detail for the style (though I can still get tired of lineart -_-)

Then, as a final detail, I give Abosede imperfect ends, topping most dreads off with a thin twist. This is optional as some dreads don't have this.

Then finally, for colour. I take reference for how they render ropes and add a series of light lines along each dread. Dreads don't reflect much light, so these are pretty faint.

For some braided hairstyles, you just replace the tubes I use for dreads with a simple plait pattern (as seen in Lucio's masquerade outfit). If you're aiming for cornrows, instead of the segments, draw the tubes along the scalp with sharp ends. Then fill them with a plait pattern. For extra detail, you can hatch lines in between the cornrows where the hair is pulled into the braid.

Braids have stronger highlights than dreads, and I tend to dot them in the centre of each part.

Mercedes and Melchior think you're the best thing to exist since that one platter of beef tartare they sprinted across the tables to steal at the masquerade five years ago.

They think you're the best thing ever, and they worry as much as doggishly possible that if they don't keep their master on his best behavior, you might not consider them good boys anymore. (Bear in mind that they are as naturally carefree as their master and therefore don't have it in them to stress too much)

They're very concerned that you and Lucio haven't smelled each other's behinds yet, since every dog knows that that is the best way to get to know someone. They keep trying to demonstrate how to do it on both the two of you and each other, but all that does is make you yelp and Lucio annoyed.

They're also concerned that Lucio has yet to offer you the best parts of the small animals he hunts for your on-the-road dinners. Sure, the chewy stuff is nice when it's cooked, but every dog knows the bones are best! They've both dug up and dragged back the carcasses of multiple animals in the hopes that Lucio will get his act together and gift it to you, but he has yet to get the hint.

Now if they could just get you two to play chase and tug-of-war with each other ...

For once you're the one flustering him early morning by burying your head into the crook of his neck and peppering him with kisses. Usually, its him leaning over you with his gorgeous eyes staring at you adoringly as he gently coaxes you to wake up. All it takes is a whisper of 'good morning' and some flirty comment to make him smile. You watch with great interest as he rummages through the drawers for stuff he needs. This close proximity . . . is something not possible in your shop due to the cramped space, but more than possible here. Here, his home in Nopal that has plenty of space for him to be comfortable . . . And now it's yours too. The two of you now murmured to one another as you brainstormed about plans, still lethargic from the constant preparations for the masquerade ball that made it so you just had to get away for some time alone. Alone without the threat of Lucio over your heads. So eagerly you took it and booked it for Nopal, good thing you did cause you might not have the chance to run away again anytime soon . . . You wouldn't be able to relax for quite some time either. So, this moment was just that much precious. Because you knew the fact quite well . . .

Knew that you'd have to leave this life behind and return back to Versuvia. Back to the palace, back to ghost hunting and back to the constant panic of being cautious over what you wanted to say. There were eyes and ears everywhere in Versuvia, but not here. Here you were free.

You end up taking a step back to give him some space to freely move around but quickly return when you see the look he gives you. A blushy mess with puppy eyes that prompt you to return. So, you linger by his side until you get comfortable enough to rest your chin on his shoulder.

Usually, he'd rope you into helping him prepare the ingredients for breakfast. Grinding spices or mixing the egg batter for an omelette usually. Since, it's your favourite thing to do afterall, but today . . . He'd rather have you around him instead. Your warm presence wrapped around his. Auras mingling into each other as you both quietly wait for breakfast to cook. Occasionally you're forced to scold him for attempting to use magic in the kitchen. To which he grins and reassures you he knows what he's doing no actually he does not, please don't let him mc. The two of you make idle talk every now and then but for the most part just enjoy each other's silent companionship. . . But under no condition are you leaving his side without giving him a kiss or you'll have to deal with a pouty Asra all throughout breakfast

We all saw the great work Nadia did with the Masquerade, so I wondered...

What attraction of the Masquerade would the M6 plan?

Asra - Lucid Dream room. Whenever you're tired you can go take a nap in the room, and enter a lucid dream together with all the people sleeping there.

Muriel - the Tree room, featuring one giant tree to climb and hide in, full of secrets and trinkets and buildings and fun things.

Portia - Start to Finish Baking! It's a magically enhanced field where crops grow super fast. You have to pick the right seeds, grow, process and then bake your cake, with Portia's help!

Julian - NAVAL BATTLE IN THE FOUNTAIN! People get shrinked with magic and then play pirates in mini ships and vessels into the garden's fountain.

Lucio - Duel Room! The swords aren't real, they are magical illusions that mark the duelists'clothes with red magic when hit. Soon, ma massive pretend-battle ensues, but no one gets hurt.
