"Try this," you offer to Samuel your tea.

That is delicious, by the way. And the way he pulls a face at the milky concoction mildly offends you.

You continue to wave the cup in your boyfriend's face, straw close to being shoved up his nose, drink splashing perilously against the lid.

He gives in. Because your dedication for annoying shit like this knows no bounds.

Steadying your hand and leaning forward, he takes a gulp from your drink. It's actually not bad. Better than he thought but-

"Too sweet," Samuel says, straightening and pushing his glasses back up his nose.

"Suit yourself," you shrug, appeased that at least Sammy has given it a go and you take a sip yourself. Then, with a grin- "It's like we just kissed."

He arches an eyebrow at you pointing at the straw, can't help rolling his eyes even as he chuckles at your silliness.

"Here,"  Samuel leans down again and kisses you. Tasting the tea on your lips except this time it is much much nicer. Delicious even. "Now we've actually kissed."

Vin Jin

Vin is undeniably cringe, according to Mary. And also a simp, according to-

Everyone, actually.

But he reasons that everyone must be jealous because if they found someone like you, they would also be all over them too.

Much like Vin is.

He's a lot more PG-13 than you expected though, less handsy. Even with his reputation, cool and cocky and honestly a bit of an asshole, Vin loves simply holding your hand, your fingers intertwined with his. Walking down the street and everyone knowing you're together.

Maybe it's a bit childish to like this one simple gesture so much. But he doesn't care. Sometimes he likes to just look at your hand in his, comparing sizes, touching your palm against his, and feeling the softness of your skin.

It doesn't stop there though.

He gives you loud obnoxious smooches on the cheek, rests his chin on your head, forces you to share a seat, squished together with your legs draping over his.

Vin wants you close by all the time. And he used to be annoyed when Mary would call him embarrassing, tell him to get a room. 

Has tried to keep a little distance at first yet continues to be drawn to you like a magnet. In the end, he has stopped caring. Besides, he thinks having you by his side automatically makes him a lot cooler.

Goo Kim

Goo knows what comes out of his mouth is gold, it’s just a shame that other people don't.

Gun tells him to shut up frequently, Crystal's eyes glaze over as she hums politely, and he knows Kouji tunes him out.

He takes it as a challenge sometimes, to see how long he can keep talking before he makes them awkward and uncomfortable, wasting their time, hoping to drive them insane.

It hasn't happened yet, but he's proud to say he's been close.

"And then what happened?" you ask Goo, leaning forward eagerly to hear the end of his story.

His brows knit together, puzzled. "Huh?"

"You can't stop there. What happened next?!"

Goo blinks. This (or 10 minutes ago) was usually when everyone told him to shut up. "You actually wanna hear the rest of it?"

You give a look to say 'duh' and nod.

Huh. Goo feels himself tearing up, dramatically thumps his hand against his heart and tells you you're the best.

"I know. Now finish the story."

Jake Kim

Jerry can recite all your key facts. Where you were born, your date of birth, blood type, horoscope.

Jason sometimes corrects him on the MBTI though.

Brad knows your favourite foods and favourite drinks, Lineman your favourite clothes and brands.

Lua knows that you prefer colder weather, although there's nothing like a sunny day to brighten up your mood. Or hiding somewhere warm and cosy when the rain pitter patters outside.

Sinu can recite your's and Jake's anniversary off by heart. The gifts that you have bought him, and what he has bought for you. He also knows what Jake was considering buying for you but decided not to in the end, for one reason or another.

Fact of the matter is, Jake slips you into all his conversations with everyone. It's a bit of a talent, to be honest. Even if the conversation isn't remotely related to you, Jake still finds something to mention that involves you.

It was a headache, at first. Jake derailed discussions and Big Deal meetings with anecdotes and tidbits when you first got together. Over time it became barely noticeable, only off hand comments or throw away remarks here and there.

This worked out well for the crew, because no one had the heart to tell Jake to shut up. How could they when his face lights up, eyes soft and crinkling. and he smiles so sweetly talking about you.

Ryuhei Kuroda

"Hey," you murmur, kissing Ryuhei on the cheek as his eyes flutter open.

He's looking at you bleary eyed, smile spreading as he comes to. You both sport matching pillowcase wrinkles on your face, and Ryuhei's cowlick is even more outrageous than usual.

"That was good," he says, stretching his hands overhead, elongating his limbs and arching his foot.

"The best nap," you agree.

Intimacy used to mean sex to Ryuhei. All physical.

Now, well it still means that because it is Ryuhei after all. But it also means deep conversations into the night with you. Sharing opinions and thoughts and vulnerability. Having another half (a better half, if you asked him) to be with, share experiences with.

And one of his favourite experiences that he recently discovered, is napping with you.

Ryuhei had expected his favourite experiences to be all manners of lewd and explicit things. But nothing can beat the soft domesticity of him curled around your back, both your breaths starting to deepen as you drift to sleep in his arms and he follows closely behind.

Gun Park

You wouldn't say Gun is a feeder, but the fact that he cooks and feeds you so well came as a surprise.

"Nutrition is important," he would tell you, prepping in a frilly apron that you bought for him as a joke but wore anyway because why wouldn't he? It's from you.

You also don't understand what role nutrition plays when he prepares the food in cutest ways. Carrots in the shape of flowers, octopus cut sausages, onigiri with faces made from nori.

Tonight, you peer down at your katsu curry, with a bear shaped out of rice lounging in it.

You can't help the burst of laughter, thinking of your boyfriend - the fearful Gun Park, the Shiro Oni, in the kitchen cooking this for you.

"What?" Gun asks, seated across the table, a spoonful halfway to his mouth.

"It's too cute," You grin at the black eyed menace, the guy that was supposed to be all about fighting but has a terribly soft spot for you.

You glance down at the bear again, in an adorably relaxed position with steam rising around it reminiscent of an onsen. It seems almost a shame to eat it. "I can't believe you made this."

Gun gives you a matter of fact answer, "You like it more when it's cute." 

Oh.

The fact he goes to all this effort, just because you like it more, makes him the cutest of all.

Trait-based Chemistry mod

It will replace original TS2 turn-ons and turn-offs with entirely new ones (only hair colors and fitness/fatness are unchanged!).

It conflicts with NickM406's No More Loading the * Family mod , and Tunaisafish’s Attraction Fix, make sure you don't have tunaisafish_fix_attractiontraits package in your Downloads.

🔸 Hobby requirements in Dill's / Atomtanned's versions (as well as interest) were set to 5 points, which is kinda an average in my game. I don't want TOs to trigger too easily so I've increased these to 8 points, just like Skill point requirements.

I also increased good reputation requirement from 30 to 60.

Above is the comparison of original vs new TOs, in the exact order.

FYI I've fixed the little mistake I've found in the mod - in my version stylish TO works as it should.

And here's free version (SFS) of my buyable ReNuYu potion default, will be useful if you'd like to correct TOs for all your Sims.

"ONLY TO Chemistry" mod

Conflicts with No Zodiac Chemistry by Belladovah , chemistry mods by Peanutty (it incorporates their "No zodiac and no Aspiration"mod) and any other that contain Attraction Constants BCON and Attraction Tuning BCON.

In unmodded TS2 game, interests and skills do not play part in attraction. Trait-based chemistry changes that only to some extent because Zodiac and Aspiration are more important. To make TOs the crucial attraction factor in my game, I disabled Zodiac / Aspiration Chemistry, and tweaked bolt requirements.

This mod makes chemistry between Sims straightforward and TO-based however various bonuses to attraction also apply (!), like Beauty Wish, Vacation bonuses, bonus for very good rep or penalty for extremely bad reputation (even if your Sim likes bad guys, they will be put off by Dirty Dirtbag status, and enticed by extremely good rep). Anyways, if you use this mod and your Sims have no other attraction bonuses, then:

if one Sim has a turn-on towards the other, and the other has none, it results in no bolts

if one Sim has two turn-ons towards the other, and the other has none, Sims have one bolt chemistry

if one Sim has a turn-on towards the other, and the other has a turn-off, it results in negative chemistry

if a couple has single turn-ons towards each other, it gives them one-bolt chemistry

couple has three turn-ons, that gives them two bolts

couple has three turn-ons, one turn-off, that gives them one bolt

couple has double turn-ons, they have three-bolt chemistry

Special bonuses granted by mods for certain Traits like the "irresistible" still matter of course.

Lua had woken up first. And for once she let Eddie sleep peacefully, she found her way to the couch. Wayne was sitting in his usual spot on the far left, sipping on a mug of coffee. He left in with care on the side table that had been repared more times than it had been in his ownership. Lua opened her arms, knowing that a hug was incoming. 

Wayne grabbed her under her arms, and pulled her in for a little cuddle. He smiled to himself, something he only dared to do in such intimate moments. 

“Mornin’ Lua.” He whispered into her ear, her little hands playing with the collar of his work shirt. 

“Hi uncle Way.” She beamed back almost immediately, her hands still playing with the straight fabric. 

Wayne had never been a man of many words, that didn’t really change when Lua came around, though she somehow understood. She felt seen and cared for, which is more than she could ask for, maybe because she only had known that, unstoppable love and devotion that she liked to express back. With Wayne that was quiet moments, giggles that were born from Wayne tickling her, especially when he kissed her cheek and the beard he usually had tickled her, and small playtime. 

This particular morning, Wayne brushed her hair with his fingers as she lazily woke up. Waiting for her to start chatting, as she usually did. 

It didn’t take long. 

“Dada?” She asked, pointing with her finger to the door she left ajar. 

“We should let him sleep, Lu, he’ll work until late.” He tried to explain, grabbing her shoulders in a soft touch as she tries to stand up. 

“Princess?” She asks, her tone remains the same as when she was calling for Eddie, for a moment Wayne doubts, but smiles as she stands up, grabbing her princess books and VHS that Steve had snuck out of Family Video. 

“You wanna watch Sleeping Beauty again?” He tried, handing her the plastic box that had the infamous kiss printed on it. 

“Yeah…” As soon as Wayne walked up to the T.V and the red FBI announcement was starting, Lua groaned, which made Wayne turn around in shock, she usually giggled at the recognition of the movie starting. “No, princess!” She screamed again, her hand now pointing at the window. 

“I don’t know what princess has a window, Lu…” He tried a soft tone, as he sat back down, turning the volume low so he could actually hear anything she would say, rather than the loud opening credits. 

“Dada’s princess!” She cheered again, her head looking outside the window, right to where your trailer was. The light on that could be seen through your living room window let her know that you were already awake. 

“Dada’s got a princess?” Wayne’s eyes opened in disbelief, his voice a bit higher in pitch than what Lua was used to, the change maker her smile, a mischievous one at that, as if she knew she was telling a secret. 

“Stevie said, dada went to charm the princess.” She explained, looking back at where your trailer was to the T.V and the bright colours that started appearing on the screen. 

Eddie had woken up long enough to hear it all. He had remained frozen in the spot, his hands playing with his rings as he stood in the corridor, his old sleeping shirt a wrinkled mess, his hair was in a similar way tangled and he was on his way to take a shower and sort it out when he heard it. Wayne looked at him, his eyes still opened in shook, but a grin in his lips that Eddie had stolen long ago. 

Lua still hadn’t noticed his dad, or the way his cheeks grew pink in embarrassment, her full attention on the way the little fairies were casting spells to protect Aurora, she was mouthing the words along, as if it were a song. 

Wayne walked over to his nephew, who was trying to hide his face behind the palm of his hands. He rested a hand on Eddie's shoulder, as he nodded to the kitchen, asking to have a little conversation with him. 

“So… a princess huh?” Wayne asked, the Munson grin on his face, his usual teasing tone in a quieter voice so Lua wouldn’t eavesdrop. 

“Uh… yeah. A girlfriend really.” Eddie confessed, his right hand scratching the back of his neck as he tried to avoid Wayne’s eye contact, unsuccessfully. 

“Girlfriend?” He mocked back, his eyes staring deep into Eddie’s trying to read him. 

“Yeah, it happened yesterday.” Eddie couldn’t help but smile at the memory, nor could he stop his eyes from shining. He got to kiss you for the first time yesterday, and couldn’t wait until he got to kiss you again, unfortunately for him, he hoped you would have some time where nobody knew, but of course, everybody seemed to know before he could even tell them. 

Wayne looked at him, and the way his lips curved upwards when he talked about it, and for a moment he saw the younger Eddie. The always full of energy and excited one, the one that existed before he was buried in pressure. In a way that Wayne wasn’t prepared for, he was glad you were able to make his nephew’s eyes shine again. 

“So uh… Lua likes her?” Wayne opens the door above the sink, sitting next to it before grabbing the box of cigarettes he had in his back pocket. 

“Blow the smoke out.” Eddie reminds him as he accepts the cigarette Wayne offers him, placing it behind his ear. “She’s infatuated with her.” He admits, as he looks over at her, and the way she is dancing hugging a shirt that was left yesterday on the sofa, as if she was Aurora and the shirt was the prince, she was mumbling along to once upon a dream.

“And are you with her because Lua likes her and you're lonely or because you actually like her?” He points out the difference, his hand that holds the cig between his two fingers gesturing as he speaks, smoke making the moment even more dramatic. 

For a second Eddie smiles to himself, thinking that maybe he’s as dramatic because of his uncle. 

Then he reflects on his question. 

He really likes you, and he had really liked kissing you, and the way you had made him feel. As if he wasn’t a disappointment, or a responsible fixer of fuck-ups, but as a person. You made him feel like he deserved to be happy again, like his life didn’t have to revolve about stupid worries that hadn’t yet happened. 

He really likes the way you treat Lua. And the way Lua smiles and laughs and giggles every time she gets to spend time with you. In a selfish way, he wanted you to fit in his life, desperately so. He could see the way you fitted into the dream he had, a nice large house, a bedroom for Lua and maybe another little one, only this time they had your eyes. 

“I really do like her…” He starts to try to rationalize out loud, his uncle watching him closely. “She’s truly amazing… And she… She makes me smile, and I feel lighter when she’s near.” Eddie tried to explain, with a lovesick smile in his lips as he turned his head from the ground up to Wayne’s eyes. “And she is great with Lua, I mean… I haven’t seen Lua warm up to anyone like she has to her, and maybe that helps in me liking her so much, but I…” 

“I didn’t mean to make you spiral, kid.” Wayne is smiling as smoke escapes his mouth. His hand on his shoulder once more, Eddie relaxes at the touch, his lips curving a bit as he feels it. “I just… careful, yeah?” Eddie nodded at his words, a knowing look on his face. 

“Believe me, I hadn’t even thought about dating since Lua came around, but she’s just… I dunno, special I guess.” Wayne gives a knowing nod, as he stomps the cig on the window still, throwing the bud on the trash next to the counter. 

He feels the way Eddie’s changing for the better because of you, and he can’t help but be happy and weary at the same time. 

“Just… y’know, wrap it before, one is enough for now.” Wayne teases as he walks back into the living room, laughing as he hears the way Eddie groans at the comment that he made. 

A weight on Eddie’s chest feels as though it lifted, the big scary talk done and over with, he started to walk into the living room, Lua giggling as the buffon was sleeping with the guitar over his head. Eddie sat down next to her, his arms wrapping her in a soft cuddle. 

“Dada he’s like you!” She pointed out, at the cartoon on the T.V. He furrowed his eyebrows, not really following her train of thought. 

“What do you mean, bug?” 

“The guitar! You play it…” She becomes embarrassed for a moment, her hands playing with the ends of her hair. 

“Dada can play it better than that.” He teases back, his fingers tickling her side as she laughs, falling on the cushions as she accepts his father’s way of saying good morning to her. 

Wayne walks over them, looking at them fondly, an idea popping into his brain. 

“You should invite your princess over for dinner sometime.” He mocks the nickname Lua had given you, his hand flicking between the T.V and the window where your trailer could be seen. 

“Please?” Lua added, wanting to see you sooner than later. Her eyes shining as she looks up at Eddie, she was trying what usually worked when she wanted something. Her eyes were opened as she looked up, her brown eyes a reflection of his, her smile showed her teeth as she moved her body slowly from side to side. 

“Yeah, I’ll ask her when she’s free.” He gave in immediately, hugging Lua and melting as she celebrated it. 

Wayne nodded at Eddie, who couldn’t help but smile, trying to hide just how nervous he actually was for you meeting his uncle.

The last trimester was quite the challenge, Gun had already prepared your things and things for the baby in case you go into labor.

He also decorated the nursery into a sky-themed room, he added a lot of soft pillows in her crib afraid that the baby might fall.

He also put an extra bassinet in your guys' bedroom for the baby to sleep in at night.

He already bought a lot of baby toys for your little girl, and the both of you settled for the name Haneul, full name Haneul Park, English name, Heaven.

Gun also bought you a little fabric that helps you carry your heavy tummy, he also offers you a lot of back massages because he knows how hard it is to carry a baby.

Every time you're struggling he rushes home immediately, even though there's someone to take care of you at home, (A Maid he hired specifically for you).

When you went into labor, Gun thought he was prepared, but he was pretty much panicking inside.

He wasted no time to carry you to the car, the bag he packed was already there ahead of time.

He rushed you to the hospital and he was there with you the whole time.

He held your hand all the way through, not caring about the pain because it didn't hurt him.

When Heaven was born, he held you both in his arms as you cried looking at your beautiful baby girl.

Gun felt proud and accomplished that moment as he looked at the beautiful family he started.

Much like Gun, he was already preparing ahead of time.

He also turned the nursery into a mermaid and pirate-themed room, it was beautiful.

He had so much fun browsing for cute baby stuff on the internet that it got out of hand.

There's another room dedicated to their playroom and it's filled with toys and learning stuff.

He also bought a lot of cute matching clothing for the twins.

I would prefer to not refer to them by any percentages, because that feels extremely uncomfortable, but yes I have oc legacies who are also direct descendants of deities. I talked about Anton in a previous ask (legacy of Mars, child of Ceres), and I have a legacy of Summanus kid in the works who is also a direct descendant of a wind god, but I haven't decided who exactly yet and I only have one doodle of them because they are a Literal Baby and that one doodle is them as a toddler being tiny and babey.

So let's talk about some rogues I've been working on!

These are my waterfowl lesbians. They are born out of me learning that in some myths, the Graeae can turn into swans and I thought it'd be fun to make an Enyo & Nemesis duo who can both turn into waterfowl, plus I also wanted to make an Enyo & Lua combo kid who can just telekentically throw weapons around, because that's cool. Also just playing around with Enyo kids having fire eyes/demigods with nonhuman traits, because Yes Please. It's just fun. Knives ended up with an Odile/Black Swan theme, just cause I thought it'd be neat and I wanted her to look cool. Anser has some swan Valkyrie theming kinda sprinkled in there just for flavor, ergo the Thor legacy (also just fun for her being super loud + a personal hc of mine about Norse rogues being more common) even though she's a goose, not a swan.

I have plenty of other multi-legacy demigods as well, just not ones who are direct descendants specifically, because a.) I always find it fun to think of how powers and themes would mesh, and b.) I actually have a very specific headcanon that multi-legacies are super common in the First and Second cohorts, due to the whole their-families-are-more-likely-to-live-in-New-Rome thing.

I've actually been bouncing around an idea recently of Roman demigods who are children of lares, because there is mythological precedent for that and technically they are house gods. It's just the mortal parent is probably a New Rome citizen and that's sure to get awkward quick some way or another. There's no way a lar parent can not end up awkward, which is hilarious. I also have a fun OC whose concept is based on the idea of two mortals who moved to New Rome with their demigod partners but one way or another ended up single again and then married each other and had a completely mortal kid who just. Grew up in New Rome and joined the legion anyways. I'm just a big fan of getting really funky with riordanverse ocs.

they infiltrate your thoughts, your mind, and your heart. then maybe in the end, you'll get a happily ever after.

but for y/n and kazuha, it was not the case.

though they loved each other deeply, it will never be meant to be. no matter how hard they tried, no matter how hard they fought, no matter what lifetime.

it was never, and will never, be meant to be.

however, they still try. the doomed couple laid upon the itchy grass, gazing up at the millions of stars stretched across the galaxy.

the soft sounds of their breath correlating with each other and waves crashing below them were the only noises that could be heard excluding the occasional wind and buzzing insects.

the two hadn't spoken in a quite a bit. they decided that soft, intimate touches were enough to fill the solace moment.

kazuha sighed. “we are the reincarnation of the sun and the moon. born to be apart, but made to love each other.” his eyebrows furrowed in sorrow, then the two broke eye contact to look upon the stars once again.

it sucked. being so infatuated with one person but knowing the odds of you being together are from 1 to 100.

it physically hurt. the type of hurt that makes you clench your chest to make the pain stop, but nothing would ever make it go away.

“but what about the eclipse?”

“huh?” kazuha muttered.

“the solar eclipse.” y/n repeated as she sat up because the itchy grass was finally becoming a bother. “when the sun and the moon finally meet. it doesn't last for long, but it's finally their time to be together.”

kazuha smiled. it was a bittersweet smile, but it still managed to light up y/n's glossy moonlit eyes.

“hopefully one day we'll become the eclipse. i will count the days until we meet again, even if it's for an eternity.”

their foreheads barely grazed each other's as they stared lovingly into one another's eyes. both of them glossed over; not of sadness, but with a sense of serendipity.

maybe this was meant to happen. maybe there was a reason that the universe didn't want them to stay together.

“so.. until our eclipse?”

“.. yes, my love. until our eclipse.”

y/n and kazuha knew. they knew they'd never get their happily ever after. but that didn't matter at this moment.

what mattered is that they had each other now. although if it's not for long, they're able to love each other deeply.

Vega, the Umbral Nova is done! There is no distance too far for her to travel! The new year arrives with her!

The Tale of Vega

In the origin system, there is a saying that “Bonds can connect people regardless of distance.”. Thus is true for the lovers, Belric and Rania, however it is also true for family as we read of Vega’s tale. Known as the Shooting Star, the New Solar Cycle, or even the Sun’s Guardian, Vega has protected her Origin System since her transformation.

Though most Umbras were Dax as they needed the vigor to withstand their process, Vega was one of the few exceptions. She was merely scientist under the Orokin, born on Lua and raised on Apollo with her legal guardian Altair, her grandfather. Her research proved useful for her golden masters, making strides in the fields of space travel and allowing for easier transit between planets. All of this was for him, she wanted to make him proud.

However before the height of her achievement, Altair fell fatally ill. By the time she returned to his side, he was already on death’s door. She offered Continuity to him, she had the means and the connections. But the old man merely gave her his last words. . .”I am not leaving you, Vega. I am merely joining your parents. Know that we will always be with you as you look to the sun in the sky. “

With those last words, she had lost a pillar in her life. But she had to continue her final project, the Solar Rails. She nearly completed them, allowing for instant teleportation between each rail set on each planet or even system. But a covetous Executor sought to take her ideas for his own. The next thing Vega knew, she awoke strapped to a chair. Unable to move and now morphed by the Helminth Strain, Vega was changed physically but the light inside of her never gave up. The other scientists said she was an anomaly, thus she was put to cryo-stasis to tame the energy radiating from her new form.

Eventually when the system was threatened by the Executor and his cruel Narmer empire, Vega finally awoke. A cry from Altair was heard as the mad Orokin attempted to feed the sun to the Praghasa Sentient Mothership. Vega had different plans, creating a wormhole to save the solar body and pulling his empire away to freeze in another galaxy. She had arrived just in time, and has yet to discover the full extent of her new Warframe powers.

Whenever the new year arrives Tenno, remember that Vega smiles as the planets turn.

The first time I asked her to marry me was after Queen Ramonda's death, she was beautiful as always, but angry and resentful for the death I caused, deep down I knew she would never accept to leave Wakanda for me, but still, I asked, I begged for a chance. I was in love with her from the first time I saw her, in fact, I was destined to fall in love with her, to love her, from the day I was born.

"I cannot marry a man like you, Wakanda would see me as a traitor"

"If you would accept, you would not have to stay here, you would be Queen of Talokan, please my love think again."

In those unanswered days, I walked a little more closed off, hardly left my quarters or ate properly, kept my time busy so as not to think about y/n.

Attuma convinced me to try to get over what happened and move on, "you are King of Talokan, you can have as many wives as you want", but I didn't want multiple wives, I wanted one, I wanted y/n. My people started murmuring that I was in a state of unlove, that I had been hurt, it was true, I was in pain, and no one could heal me but y/n.

Maybe those who have dubbed me the loveless boy are right, maybe I will never find love, that in fact I will never find someone who can love me.

The sun not knowing what else to do.

So much love to give.

And began to cry.

And melting.

It began to rain, and to wet.

And to darken.

It has been a month since it happened, I found out that y/n tried to contact me, she went to the beach where we usually met, and waited for hours, at first I thought of leaving when I saw her, but then a spark of hope warmed my heart, the smile I was trying to contain overcame me, I surrendered and swam to her.

(Sorry if this has been asked before!) How did you decide to switch breeds? Did you always want to have these two breeds?

Also is Penne the only liver puppy? They are all so cute! <3

So I love my English Sheps dearly and I suspect I will always want to have at least one! They are really great dogs!! <3

But I have also always loved Dalmatians from afar my whole life. I had no personal experience with them though, and the fact that until relatively recently, the LUA project was not very widespread yet, plus having heard some negative stereotypes about the breed when I was younger, made me feel like actually getting one probably wasn't realistic for me.

As I learned more about the breed, and learned that LUA breedings were becoming more common, I started considering it more heavily as a potentially realistic option. Then, a couple years ago we had the opportunity to foster a deaf Dalmatian for a brief period of time when her owner was staying somewhere that didn't allow dogs. Karen the Dalmatian was a wonderful house guest, incredibly charming, sweet, and cuddly, and she seemed to fit in well with my crew, so I fell even more in love with the breed and decided I would definitely like to have my own in the future! It's finally happening now and I am super excited!!!

Penne is the only liver female in the litter. There is also one liver boy! The litter has 10 pups (11 were born, but the first pup sadly failed to thrive,) a total of 7 females and 3 males. I've just been posting pictures of just the girls because we're getting a female, but the boys are real cute too!

Actually, have some European Portuguese (or Portuguese from Portugal) idioms and expressions that I love. (Some might also be used in Brazil. Others definitely are not)

1. Category: Expressions that exist because of the Lisbon Earthquake of 1755 (yes there's more than one in this category. No, we're not all 200+ years old but we still reference that earthquake every day)

Rés vés Campo de Ourique - It means that something didn't happen by an inch. This was because after the earthquake the Tsunami almost got to Campo de Ourique, a neighbourhood in Lisbon.

Caiu o Cabo e a Trindade - This means everything is going wrong. It comes from the fact that the earthquake destroyed two convents, Carmo and Trindade.

2. Expressions to say "Go annoy someone else" or just "Fuck off". There's a lot of these.

Vai chatear o Camões - Literally means "Go annoy Camões". Camões is a very well known poet and writer from the XVI century. It's a joke about saying to go annoy somebody who's dead.

Vai ver se estou na esquina - literally "go see if I'm in the corner".

Vai dar a volta ao bilhar grande - literally "go round the big billiard (table?)". Beautiful.

Vai tomar banho - literally "go take a bath"

3. Who the fuck thought of these???

Rebeubéu, pardais ao ninho - it means that there's a commotion and/or a lot of noise. To translate this literally is difficult because Rebeubéu is barely a word but it means something like "(onomatopoeia that means lots of noise) sparrows to the nest".

Montou-se ali um 31 - means the same as the last expression. Literally "A 31 was set up there". You can technically make your own expression with 31 and it will mean the same thing - chaos. Now the question is: What in the world is a 31? Well, until today I also didn't know. It's allegedly a card game.

Nasceu com o rabo virado para a lua - means that someone got lucky even when they did not deserve it. They got what they wanted but didn't do anything to get it. Literally "they were born with the butt turned to the moon".

Cu de Judas - It means far away and/or in a place difficult to find. Literally "Ass of Judas"... Ass in butt. This expression is used all the time.

4. Snork mimi 💤

Vou bater chocolate - literally "I'm going to whisk chocolate"

Vou para o vale dos lençóis (probably my favourite expression that I use all the time because the mental image is amazing) - literally "I'm going to the bedsheet valley"

Vou fazer oó - oó is an onomatopoeia for sleeping. Only used with babies or jokingly.

Vou nanar - technically it means "I'm going to sleep" as nanar is another verb for sleep but I wanted to include it because it's something that you will only hear said in familial situations. It's not informal in the street sense it's just that it's a sweet way to say sleep that it's just not said by anyone else besides your mum when she wants to ask if you're sleepy and want to go to bed. It's cute :)

5. The origin of this one is more interesting than the expression itself

Primeiro estranha-se depois entranha-se - it means that you might not like something at first but you'll start enjoying it with time. Literally means "First you find it's odd afterwards it's engrained". So, this was actually thought by Fernando Pessoa, also one of the most well known portuguese poets and writers. He died in 1937. Anyway, for this wasn't a title of a book or something. He wrote this for a fucking Coca-Cola commercial. Cursed information.

Quem anda à chuva, molha-se - literally "Who's in the rain gets wet". It means "WHEN WILL YOU LEARN?! WHEN WILL YOU LEARN, THAT YOUR ACTIONS, HAVE CONSEQUENCES?!?!?!"

Pão, pão, queijo, queijo - literally "bred, bred, cheese, cheese", which is beautiful. It means "Exactly what I just said", "It means just that"

São coisas do arco-da-velha. Literally "It's stuff from the rainbow". It means whatever happen was unbelievable. In the good or bad sense. The most common way of saying rainbow in Portuguese is arco-íris but arco-da-velha is s synonym less used. Galicia still uses it a lot though.

Feito ao bife - (Used all the time!!!) Literally "done at the steak". It means you're fucked lol (aka you were busted and are in big trouble)
