#finally!#saw gabby's amazon outfit in ep 9 and almost thought i missed it#forgot for a sec that they were shown out of order#sooo ready for this#amazons are sadly underutilized in media#like yeah there's warrior ladies and all female or female focused warrior cultures catching on a bit#but it's usually sexy warrior ladies partially utilized for the male gaze#or the poorly written girlboss empowerment stuff#love xena's depiction - a haven of female empowerment that's also allowed to be flawed without being demonized#(or at least that's how i remember it)#gabrielle should have probably had more involvement with her people as their queen#but it's more a thematic thing for her development and soo perfect in that way#her journey to becoming a warrior and her coming into her own as a strong independent woman AND her sexuality#all symbolized in her falling into amazon society and being their queen in a sort of spirtual way#seriously love it so much#also it's fun how gabby is the actual warrior princess of the pair lol#xwp#1x10 hooves and harlots
