This is the part that people don't get. Tv shows have known forever that making the fan favorite couple official is frequently a death knell. While this is sometimes a queer baiting thing, this is actually even more common in shows with a heterosexual pair. The audience watches for the will they/won't they tension, and while more and more shows do explore this nowadays, it's tricky to do and still keep your audience engaged. This is often done by having them break up again and leads to soap opera type drama, which generally isn't liked either.

Some parts of being a creative are knowing how to draw out tension for something the fans want.

And sometimes it just goes on too far and gets ridiculous and they should just do it before the show gets cancelled anyway. (I personally don't think wwdits has crossed this point yet, but it's certainly getting close.)

so let me just break down whats going on in fandom today:

nandermo got uncanonized today

wwdits writers wanted guillermo and nandor to kiss

head writer said no cause it's unethical being a boss/employee relationship

on the show where everyone is a fucked up gay murderer

claimed the fans don't actually know what they want

said that he will continue to dangle the possibility of nandermo because it is the "golden goose" that gets people to watch the show

said there bond is too "profound" for them to have sexual feelings

a new interview came out with the producer of Loki s2

Kevin Feigi himself asked them to rewrite episodes to include more Mobius and Loki and remove the Sylvie/Loki dynamic

Owen Wilson wanted the show to be over with

There was barley any script. They would send Tom on runs to come up with new dialogue

It was Tom's idea to add the "for you" ambiguous Loki canonization, and he proposed that while the scene was shooting

the timeloop montage at the beginning of s2e6 wasn't scripted either. It was a decision of the editors in post-productions
