My less popular opinion (and what I believe to be implied by the art in Lost Days) is that rather than waking up in a fully grown body Jason didn’t actually complete his puberty until after his Lazarus pit dip while he was on his murder tour. Imagine you’re tied up in a basement in Berlin getting interrogated by a teenager and his voice is cracking the entire time and if you laugh he’s going to shoot you

#Late puberty Jason truthers rise #Egon calling up Talia like ‘did you send me a middle schooler what is this’. ‘He’s technically high school aged actually’#he would’ve been like 18 when he finally regained consciousness but the way he’s drawn could easily be mistaken for 15 #I know people love the body dysmorphia angst of Jason waking up big but I offer you this: Jason wakes up looking basically the same to a #world that has moved on without him and is unrecognizable. His death/injuries stunted him he existed for years in a state of suspension #while the world passed him by. He was on pause while everyone kept moving on and he didn’t get unpaused until the Lazarus pit and he has #to scramble to catch up. He’s actually 18 but the last thing he remembers is being 15 and his body reflects this state #and then once his mind is finally back online puberty hits him like a truck. Just look at the difference between how Jason is drawn #immediately after his dip in the Lazarus pit vs the end of lost days when his training arc is over #It implies it could’ve been multiple years but in order to fit with the timeline of other comics I personally don’t think it #would’ve been that long. I think he just sprouted up like a weed #Jason Todd #dc #I think Jason is technically still growing by the time he’s red hood. i like it so much when there is a spider :`) it makes me so happy to be able to see a spider and watch the spider and know that there are spiders nearby. and when i am stressed or worked up i can just look at a spider and calm down. spiders <3

oh so now the birds are eating the <25 cherries i've got growing on my tiny tree

literally everything i've planted in this fucking garden has either died on its own or has been killed by birds/bugs

#my garden is a microcosm of my whole life right now #my life has been on a downward spiral since last july and bestie i am starting to reach my fucking limit #defaulting to thinking ''i wish i were dead'' at every little inconvenience is BAD!!!! i know!!!! but it's true!!!#the mint from trader joe's was infested with aphids and i've been cleaning it off every day for 2 weeks and it's STILL got them #like... this plant is 1 foot tall with two little stalks and less than 30 leaves. it hasn't grown in the 2 months i've had it #the money plant still reeks of mold and has to live outside because of its smell and the fungus gnats #the golden sage just fuckin.... burned to death????? it turned gray and DIED #the one and only bean plant that sprouted just ejected the only 2 true leaves it bothered growing #the originally robust blackberry cane is withering. the other two did get better but started from the ground up. there's 1 blackberry total #the rosemary hasn't gotten any bigger in the 3 months i've had it #the scotch brooms don't look so good. the salvia haven't gotten any bigger in 3 months and the creeping phlox bleached and died #the thyme is doing okay and the culinary sage is hanging in there but i don't have high hopes #not a single fucking wildflower sprouted in the yard. i used 2 bags of seed+mulch that was supposed to cover 600sq ft (the yard is 400)#the mourning doves ate a bunch of the seeds and the rest never sprouted #there's a few puny sunflower sprouts but the cottontail came and ate some of those leaves #the cottontail also ate an entire stalk of the potted mystery flowers #the huge plant i moved in November... the one that surprisingly survived frost/freeze... can't handle the heat and is now dead #i just...#the job market is awful. the salaries are worse. the neighborhood is in the middle of nowhere and inhabited by paranoid cops #everyone has big dogs who go apeshit when they hear ppl walking #and the fences are short and the dogs are big so i'm scared to go walking because EVERY. DAY. on the nextdoor app are people #announcing that they found a dog wandering the neighborhood. or ppl saying ''omgggg my dog got out of the yard! have u seen it?''#spring was all wind/gusty and it battered the blackberries and sucked all the moisture out of the yard #so the 2 tons of compost that we rototilled into the dirt? it's just dust now. there's nothing living in that soil #and now summer is here and it's too hot and these plants don't have a chance #i hate everything

But!! It is not your average style, oh no. This style is based off of the lil zoomed out shapes that the animators put in rise to show where everyone was at in a wide out shot. It was a little a lot actually tricky to try mimicking the style, but it's not too shabby.

There is about six inches of standing water in this nine inch hole. Our yard is saturated to the point that it can't absorb any more and more rain is coming this week. I had hoped to get all the new plants from yesterday planted today but only got one rose and the vegetables planted; I didn't account for having to widen the trench I dug a month ago, nor did I expect it to not help. That wound up taking up a lot of my time and energy, so the annuals will have to wait until Monday to go into the ground and the raised beds. At least we're out of our drought for now.

#adventures in gardening #i managed to finally get my blue girl rose planted and got the drainage holes drilled into the new big pots for the patio #have to wait on the long planter because I set some succulents into it temporarily and the bees love them #my whole yard is full of happy little bees right now #everything is flowering and growing which is great #i also planted 'midnight snack' 'dances with smurfs' and 'san marzano' tomatoes and a purple bell pepper #and I'm once again trying to grow a cucamelon #the pumpkins i planted after halloween are starting to sprout and with luck will be very productive #still need to get the carnation and pansies planted along with purple and white sweet alyssums and a 'vavoom' rose #and hope the water doesn't rot everyone's roots this year
