You giggle and just stumble around some more, bumping into the same wall multiple times

When you finally come back to bed, you just fall right on top of him, not even noticing he's there

You've woken up a few times in the morning to sore lips

He's not really home most of the time anyways, so it doesn't really matter

But when he is, the last thing he wants to deal with is you laughing and practically screaming at any object you bump into

He'll just shrug and walk off, tossing a broken glue stick in the trash

He has no idea what you're talking about most of the time, but hearing your sleepy voice is just so heartwarming, he can't help it

You always wonder why you wake up in the morning sounding like a dying frog

Oh, Brahms eats it up

You're constantly on a rampage going on and on about how much you love him and how much you need him

And this is exactly what he wants to hear

The moment he feels you stir in the middle of the night, he rolls over and holds you tight, making sure your sleeping actions don't cause you to leave the room

"Is there anything on your mind?" he asks softly

The moment you hear his voice, a big goofy grin spreads across your face

Billy just wakes up with a groan each time

"Babe, please just go to sleep"

"But the caterpillars! They're hiding..." you say, rolling all over the place

"They're gone now! How did you do that?" you exclaim

"We do this every night," he mumbles into your neck

He's just met with a snore as you've already passed back out

"I don't know how I put up with you," he says with a slight chuckle

He wakes up to the sound of yelling and fast thumping coming from the living room below

He all but trips on his way downstairs, worried something was wrong

Except he is simply met with you running around in a blanket, yelling about incoherent nonsense

"The snakes! The berries! The fridge!" followed by an immediate laugh

Stu stands there for a bit before finally chasing after you, swooping you up into his arms

"No! They got me! I'll never surrender!" you yell at the top of your lungs

"And I thought I was the loud one," he laughs, carrying your wiggling frame back upstairs to bed

He wakes up in the middle of the night to a soft voice singing

But since this is almost a nightly occurrence by now, he just responds with a sigh

He can hear you banging around in the kitchen

And he's about to storm out there to complain how it's 3 in the morning, and you shouldn't even be awake right now

But instead, he finds all the food on the floor as you try to wedge yourself inside the fridge

"Lava. There's lava everywhere," you're muttering

"Darlin' what in God's name are you-"

"Bo! You're on fire! Hurry! Hop in!" you yell, trying to make room for him in the cramped fridge

He just lets out a frustrated sigh

"Not tonight, sweetheart."

He quickly picks you and carries you back to the bedroom

then you get a call since Rafe puts down your number. you literally SPEED to get there, and hes standing out there all alone. you run into his arms, literally leaving your car on n running. ugh i would SOB he would be so happy to see you, feels so relieved even though he knows what’s just happened.

you’re his calm though, like literally you settle his mind, so he feels so much better once you’re there. after he rearranges your guts, you both get in the front again—him driving and you in the passenger seat. he doesn’t know where to take you so you both drive around. you’d be all sleepy, leaning against the window, eyes fluttering open if he accidentally breaks too hard. you catch a little of what rafe’s mumbling to himself, pieces here and there

“we’ll just get out of here, kid, just you and me. we’ll be fine. don’t need anything else but me. i’ll take care of you, i will.”

you think you should be worried, but you’re not. you trust rafe entirely. you wake up in another part of the state, your phone turned off with lots of messages from your parents, but you don’t care, you’re just happy to be with him again. 😴🫣🫠

I stared the day with blueberry pancakes, my emotional support iced coffee and going over my daily checklist

Big news *drum roll* I passed my permit test today! 🥳 I literally can’t believe it and I’m super excited to get my license in the next few months

Last night I stayed up working on all the assignments I had due today. When I got home I rewarded myself by playing the sims and my mom got us lunch ☺️

I got hungry again around 9 pm so I made a turkey sandwich

Headcanons | Sharing a Bed

Warnings: mild sexual references but there’s a lot lol | swearing

young!Tony Stark

💠Honestly, always tired and always ready for a nap. He hates to be woken up, and really just waking up in general. He's a pretty light sleeper, and easy to stir, which is probably why he's so grumpy for those first ten minutes when he does wake up. So, getting him up can be a nightmare sometimes! Especially if you're an early riser or need him up early for something. You'll have to start even earlier, because he'll need about ten minutes to sit there and pout, and another ten to drift in and out of sleep 😴 If he really doesn't want to get up, even if you have plans, he'll just pull you into him and keep you there until he's asleep again.

💠He moves around a lot, stretches dramatically, and will end up hitting or kicking you. He forgets you're there half the time, and sometimes he just- rolls on top of you... but he likes being there anyway 😌 If you fall asleep cuddling or really close to him, he won't move around as much, which is nice and all, but sometimes personal space is nice!

💠He will straight up take your blanket or pillow at some point, if all that moving around hasn't already pushed it somewhere else! He's not used to sharing a bed, and not with someone he cares about. Luckily, since it's so easy to stir him, all you need to do is ask for it back and pet his hair. He'll either mumble a sorry or something very incoherent as he gives it back, with no recollection of it later. But even with all of that, he never seems to talk or walk in his sleep, save for those half-asleep grumbles!

💠Cuddles! Snuggles! A smothering engulf! Whether it's to sleep or not, a lot of your time in bed will be spent like this. He tends to sleep the most peacefully through the night in your arms, or with you against his chest, but it's just not realistic to do every night, even for him 😔 Though, as said earlier, sometimes he ends up on top of you, or he might wake up and decide to throw your arm over him and huddle into your side or share your pillow. There will be plenty of times when you wake up wrapped in those arms that weren't there when you fell asleep, or you may even have your arms wrapped around him ❤️

 💠You'll probably be surprised to learn that he doesn't eat in bed, and if you do… well, at least pick up after yourself! He'll get a little irritated, but you must understand that house rules are/were very strictly followed, and he does like to keep his environment pretty clean and orderly, if you can believe it. 💠Sorry if you're shy, but he's going to sleep in as little as possible 🫣 Completely naked if he can get away with it, but he can manage in boxers or sweatpants if need be. He gets hot easily, it's fewer steps if he has to groggily get up to pee in the middle of the night, easy access for you and him, and honestly, he doesn't see the point in wearing clothes to bed. He's going to put new ones on anyway, and if it's cold, he has more blankets 🤷🏻‍♂️

💠You'll never know what position he'll end up falling asleep in, and he might end up in a different one than he went to sleep in anyway! He might be on his stomach and wake up on his back, or he may stay on his side all night… before ending up curled in a fetal position right against your back! Hopefully this won't wake you up and bother you too much, but if it does, all you have to do is cuddle up to him. He doesn't seem to move so much when you're close!

💠Sometimes he has trouble sleeping, and is usually using that insomnia to tinker around in the garage or finish an entire week's homework. You can try and keep him corralled, but as soon as you're out, he's out- of the room, that is. Usually he's asleep as soon as you start playing your fingers through his hair and rubbing the back of his neck, but there are times when even that doesn't work, and you'll just have to let him ride it out. Honestly, it probably happens more than you think :/ No wonder he's always so tired!

💠And speaking of homework, a lot of it will be done in bed, whether you join him or not. It's safe and comfy and private, so it's definitely a go-to spot to focus, and maybe to goof around every other problem without getting scolded. And if you join in, it can become a pretty fun game 😉 you're already in the privacy of the bedroom and on the bed, after all!

💠If you like to read in bed before going to sleep, you may have a very annoying Tony on your hands while you try to do so. If you're in bed with him, that usually means he gets 24/7 attention, so when he's not… he's going to be in your lap or tapping his fingers on your thigh, sighing like he's bored out of his mind or asking you questions he doesn't actually care about. He just doesn't have anything to do, and he's not a fan of reading, so he gets restless. If you can manage to multitask a little, try to play with his hair or rub shapes in his skin. Maybe he'll even fall asleep and leave you alone 😌

💠He's not a loud sleeper. Rarely makes a mumble and only snores a little when he's on his back. But if you're a loud sleeper, it might take him some time to get used to it before he's not waking up at every little thing. That also goes for if you move around a lot. He'll get used to it, but there may be a few times when he just hugs you really close and tight to try to keep you from moving around so much 😅 Stop squirming! 

💠He's like a space heater, so if you get cold easily, then that's great for you! But if you also tend to get hot at night, it can be a problem when he refuses to get off of you, even when he's just as hot! He'll appreciate it, though, if you tend to be cold, and then he definitely won't be getting off of you anytime soon (and you may not want him to!)

💠He washes his sheets pretty often. Remember, he likes a pretty clean space! However… he also forgets to replace those sheets, and sometimes forgets to put them in the dryer until late at night or forgets to get them out of the dryer until it's time for bed. Oops! Usually there's a second set, but if he got behind and there's not… there's going to be a time or two where your bed is just a few throw blankets 🤧

💠He rarely has nightmares, and you may not even know when he does. He'll just be really twitchy and might kick his legs a time or two. It never seems to wake him up, but if you notice, don't be afraid to curl up to him! Bury your face in his neck and throw an arm over his waist. He tends to calm down pretty quickly, and he's always happy to wake up to you snuggled up to him 🥰

💠If you want to watch a movie, you should probably keep it to the living room. If he's in bed, he'll just fall asleep :/ He'll just get so warm and comfy when he's cozied up to you in bed! Especially when you're softly giggling here and there, and even better if you're holding him. He'll be out like a light! Besides, at least in the living room you can eat snacks, and he can't exactly lay down and get quite as comfortable on the couch.

💠Of course, we have to acknowledge the elephant in the room… Tony is always a little frisky, especially when you're already in bed and probably not wearing a whole lot 😏 You could be half asleep in his arms and suddenly a hand is tickling up your spine, or you thought he was half asleep against your chest and suddenly teeth are nipping at your neck. The bed won't be such a restful place as long as he's around! And while he doesn't like to be woken up, he won't mind if you take advantage of his nudity to get him up a different way 😉 don't worry, he'll make sure to return the favor! Well, if he can wake up before you, that is…

💠Still a light sleeper and luckily less grumpy when he wakes up/is woken up. He's used to getting up at all times of day, and on anything from half an hour to seven hours of sleep, so he can spring out of bed as if he's a morning person with the best sleep schedule ever! He's pretty tired, like, 90% of the time, but he's powered through it for so long that he doesn't really notice anymore :(

💠He still tends to move around a lot, though thankfully without kicking you or stealing entire pillows. He just shuffles around on his side of the bed, almost like he's restless or can't go to sleep. Even if you fall asleep close or cuddled, he's still going to be moving around a tiny bit, and sometimes accidentally grinding on you... and then he'll definitely be restless 😏 When he's really tired, he won't move a muscle. This is usually after he's been awake for literal days or when he gets beaten to hell and back :(

💠He may not take any pillows, but all that movement and rolling tends to make blankets fall off the bed, and sheets get pulled and tangled. Then you're both waking up in the cold! He doesn't mean to, and doesn't realize he's doing it. You might try to tuck the sheets under the mattress for a few nights to see if it helps, but it actually makes him thrash around more! It makes him feel trapped, and that can lead to a much worse outcome than something as minorly inconvenient as pushed-away blankets. You'll definitely get used to it. You probably deal with worse tbh

💠Cuddling in bed is the best way to bribe him into getting some rest, and he's always ready to cozy up to you! He'll always be happy to fall asleep in your arms, and even with the occasional twitch, he's always going to sleep the most peacefully throughout the night 🥰 Holding onto you always helps him stay anchored to the present, too, so you'll definitely be waking up in his arms a lot of mornings ❤️

💠Definitely still doesn't eat in bed, and please don't do it either 💔 Some habits he grew up with just stick around, and while it's not always perfect, he still likes a tidy space. And with all his problems, the last thing he wants is to fall into a bed full of crumbs 🥲 Besides, like he has time to eat in bed 🙄 He'll make an exception if one of you is sick, or maybe it's a special occasion, but otherwise it's still a pet peeve of his.

💠Again, he's sleeping in nothing! Sorry! He may occasionally wear something to try and cover up that mini arc reactor in his chest when he's feeling insecure about it, but otherwise, he still doesn't see the point in wearing clothes to bed, and he still gets too hot at night. He'll probably try to convince you to do the same 😘 but he'll suck it up if he has to wear boxers or joggers

💠Speaking of that damned electromagnet, sometimes it's like sleeping next to a flashlight 😪 If you like having a nightlight, you're good to go! But if you prefer sleeping in as much dark as possible, it can probably get annoying when he's hahalfwayut of the covers and turned towards you, or maybe you wanted to cuddle, but goddamn that thing is bright 🤧 Try not to say much about it- he knows and he can get self-conscious :( Hopefully you'll get used to it! And if not… try to sleep on your other side? He can't really do much about it :(

💠Usually always on his side, but if you want to lay on his chest, he won't complain about sleeping on his back. Sometimes he'll end up on his stomach, but then he'll wake up complaining about his back hurting and he'll be stiff all day... And then he'll want to lay on his stomach again because it hurts. However, he does like to have you laying on his back, and will sacrifice a little more everyday pain to have you there 🥲 But sometimes the pressure helps it feel better! Apparently…

💠Tends to have trouble sleeping. It's not entirely just random bouts of insomnia, though. The poor guy is addicted to working and tends to lose track of time, especially if you're not around to check in on him periodically or drag him away. Force 👏 him 👏 into 👏 bed 👏 Bribe him if you must, drag him if you can. He'll whine, but once he's in bed and you're playing with his hair and kissing his nose, he'll realize how fucking tired he is, and he'll be out like a light! Sure, he'll occasionally have trouble falling asleep, but a lot of the time it's just him not realizing how tired he is until you literally show him! That and… sometimes he doesn't want to sleep if he's had a bad run of dreams for a week or two :/ sometimes he'll hit a bad run of terrors, and doesn't want to keep feeling shitty and waking you up, but then he'll be fine for weeks too! It's a rough cycle, especially when his work keeps him at it for so long and takes any drop of energy he has. If you can get him to stay home for a full week or two, literally just lay in bed with him. He might be restless at first, but he'll appreciate it later!

💠This also means he tends to come to bed late. You may already be asleep, and not only does he feel bad about leaving you alone, but it also means he doesn't get to talk to you before going to sleep himself or get to see that tired smile. No goodnight kisses either 💔 He might 'accidentally' wake you up just so he can interact with you a little, especially if he's been gone for a while. And if you don't wake up, he'll be a little sad, but he'll wrap his arms around you anyway and see you when you wake up ❤️‍🩹

💠If you read in bed or maybe just play on your phone for a while, he still might be a little annoying. He doesn't really read, and he might play on his phone a little, but once again, if he's in bed, that normally means he's getting attention. His head will be in your lap, or pressed to your side. He might fall asleep if your play with his hair, but if you're watching videos or playing a game, you'll keep him pretty entertained, actually! He might even get that game on his phone and play it with you!

💠He's not too loud, aside from the occasional yell or call of your name during a night terror, but he will snore on his back. It's not too bad! It's probably pretty mild compared to all the other stuff you deal with. He doesn't talk or walk in his sleep, which is good because you can probably guess exactly where he would end up and exactly what he would be talking about 🙄 He's a light sleeper, so he'll notice if you're loud. He won't really mind, though. He deals with much worse, after all, and usually doesn't have trouble falling back asleep after stirring. He's awake as soon as you say his name, though, and he will roll over and stare at you and try to figure out if you're awake, having a dream, or… having a different kind of dream 😏 which he won't hesitate to help out with 😉

💠Again, even if you move around a lot, he won't be very upset about it. Unless you're a kicker… then he'll be turning you over or trying to hold you down! And if you accidentally grind on him too?? Well, the bed isn't only for resting…

💠He's always warm and always hot. Except for that piece of metal. It'll always be weirdly cold, and probably even radiates a little bit of that cold 🥶 But having your own space heater to cuddle can be nice if you tend to be cold, and he'll suck it up if you make him too warm because he loves you too much 🥰🥲 Besides he's dealt with worse than a little heat. In fact, he's probably dealt with actual scalding heat, so this is nothing! The AC will probably always be set pretty low, and he might even turn it down lower just to give you an excuse to cozy up to him (and he'll probably be a little more comfortable, temperature-wise).

💠For a number of reasons, the sheets are probably getting changed pretty often. And not just for sexual reasons, but also because of blood, night sweats from night terrors, and just because he likes clean sheets. There are plenty of extra sets, so hopefully one of you will remember to put another set on while one's being washed, and hopefully you won't get too behind on laundry that you'll have to sleep with the blankets from the couch… well, there will probably be at least one time where that will happen. Sometimes papers get piled up, and you're probably traveling all over the place to keep up with Tony, and also probably trying to take care of him. It's easy for little things like laundry to pile up, but he'll think it's funny af when you're both huddled under that throw blanket that you now realize is pretty small

💠Unfortunately, he's often plagued by nightmares. Those shuffles become thrashing kicks that surprisingly seem to avoid you, and whatever those strong hands are resting on is getting gripped rather firmly. He's occasionally left you with a few bruises in the shape of his fingers that he always feels bad about later. When he jolts awake, the whole bed shakes, and sometimes you wake up to yelps. They usually wake him up pretty quickly, but if you're worried that one's been going on for too long, a hand on his shoulder and a soft call of his name usually wakes him up just fine. It'll take him a while to get back to sleep, but if you can't stay awake to talk, that's fine! He'll probably play with your hair or hold your hand, or hide away in your neck or chest. You'll probably both be tired after these nights.

💠Movies in bed? He's on board, but he may fall asleep. Honestly, he'd probably rather watch a show than a movie, especially one with many seasons and only half-hour episodes so he can leave it and come back! And, okay, he'll allow snacks in bed this time 😇 Actually, if you play video games, he'll play them in bed with you! He probably won't play them alone, but he won't mind watching you play something and probably becoming a bit of a backseat driver while he watches 😅 He'll probably fall asleep pretty fast, too, if you're playing something a little calm and low-key

💠We can't not mention what else goes down in bed 😋 Him. It's him going down. All that accidental grinding gets him excited, and he almost always wakes up before you do, so he probably loves to wake you up in a less traditional way 😉 And he won't mind if you do the same, but you'll have to be the one to wake up first! A sweet, sleepy cuddle can easily become playful nips to your neck, and even just a tired glance from under your pile of blankets can set him off! Especially if you sleep just as scantly dressed as him, and pressed against him! Tiredness be damned!

i meant to write this on monday but tehepero... anyway this weekend was a big moment for me!! first, it was my first trip somewhere completely alone! no friends, no parents, just me and my car for a couple of days (my parents joined me via train on the last train but all the big stuff happened before then so it still counts!). second, i got a p cool award ehe...

day 1 was mainly me leaving my house later than i expected because it was STORMING!! and then driving for a few hours... the drive was a bit meh cause i kept getting sleeping -> forced myself to sing loudly to a playlist my friends collabed on -> would relax -> GET SLEEPY AGAIN... also the last 40 minutes were eternal?!!? i kept driving and driving and driving and it's not like the estimated arrival time changed but it felt like time kept dragging on 😭 i was literally so tired when i finally arrived to the hotel (actually resort... i splurged and decided to treat myself by staying at the hotel where the conference was at LOL) i accidentally replied to a worker greeting me by saying "welcome!" PFFT... i was dying by the time i got to my room. i managed to drag myself to registration and went to the free dinner they had. which was awkward because i knew nobody there and there weren't enough tables so i ate standing up.... BUT IT WAS STILL YUMMY!! i ate some french chicken (?) with some delicious carrots and potatoes. for dessert they had these tiny carrot cakes (delish) and these... decadent... pistachio cookies.... i should've had more of those lmfaoooo

day 2 was off to a good start because i went to bed EARLYYYYY like earlier than i ever have. breakfast (featured) was so yummy and filling!! i had a couple cups of tea and also POG juice LOL i was so shocked when i saw the label for that. honestly this conference was really clinical and kinda out of my league so after looking at some exhibition posters i went back to my room and napped 😴😴😴 LMFAO. i woke up in time to pick up lunch and went to a breakout session which like. was cool but not very helpful ig to me... i just watched tv the rest of the day until it was time to get ready for the awards dinner. i was sooo nervous going to this dinner and also we unexpectedly had to walk a lot?? and it was so HOT AND HUMID i was dying... but anyway i sat with my prof's family and some very kind (and really funny??) attendees that had some hilarious chats about being parents LOL i was there eating and sipping my drinks like i was watching tv. even though i was nervous i knew it was gonna be a good time cause 1. saw a deer on the way to the dinner 2. THERE WAS A RAINBOW!!! 🌈🌈🌈 i swore it was gonna rain but instead we got a rainbow! i ended up getting a very cool engraved pen/pencil case!! it's wooden!! and the pen(cil)s have my name on them!! i felt like a really accomplished adult seeing that lol

day 3 was me fighting for my life to leave my hotel room in time to check out.. i was SO tired and had to finish packing.. my parent's train ride got delayed so i took advantage of this to finally free myself of the disney area!!! cause bro why is everything disney SO far away from the rest of the city!!!! i went to this really cool coffee/comics store! the lavender/white choco coffee i had was SOOO yummy and it was so cool to be able to have ur drink and just peruse the store... it honestly made me miss reading comics as messy as those are lmfao i got some fun stuff INCLUDING... WAIT FOR IT.. A GREEN LANTERN ZERO HOUR ISSUE LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. AND IT GETS BETTER. IT'S THE ISSUE THAT HAS ALAN SCOTT IN THAT POSE.... to think i would get to get my hands on a physical copy of theeee "why'd they draw this old man like that!" issue... unreal... there were actually a lot of kyle issues there which was nice ^0^ i missed him sm... 💚 i wanted to maybe get a superman issue too but i couldnt recognize any of them and got overwhelmed LMFAO. anyway this was super fun and i loved the vibes here- i would loveeee to go again!! and i would love it even more if i could find a nearby place like it (i gotta investigate)! afterwards i picked up my parents and we waited out a nasty storm at a japanese restaurant and i had the yummiest food dudes... we shared some karaage chicken and takoyaki, my mom had some ramen n my dad had some fried rice. i got the omurice and it was. so. yummy. im still sad i couldnt finish it all 🥲 OH and we had some incredible thai teas!! we stopped at a cute park on our way home which was really nice to stretch out our legs! and we saw BUNNIESSSSS they were so cute!!!

i think it was a weekend for the books yall! i really am proud of doing all this alone! as for the award... i still kinda cant believe i got it AND that the folks from the organization remembered me from last year's application... but instead of doubting myself, i think i'll use my energy into working hard and catching up this next academic year! it won't be easy, but maybe if i catch myself being too hard on myself i'll look at that pen case and remember there's people that believe in me and my work
