Just started my period so I'm obviously going to imagine James taking care of me and specifically this James🥹 🙏

You'd wake up that morning and he'd already be gone at the studio but you reach out for him anyway, searching for his pillow which always smelled like him in some way. That familiar nauseous feeling pooled in your stomach, the sharp, needle-like pain in your lower abdomen letting you know it was going to be a bad day.

You'd do nothing all day, just laying in bed, praying the pain would go away. Not even medicine could help the overall uncomfortable feeling you always got, that strange numbing in your legs and the ache of your back and hips.

By the time James got home it was late afternoon, you'd hear his keys jangling in the door, his boots falling to the floor as he kicked them off and your name spilling from his lips. The empty and quiet house he was welcomed with made him instantly know something was off. He'd make his way to the bedroom where he found you exactly where he had left you that morning, curled up under the sheets. The cord from a heating pad sticking out and the bottle of medicine next to your water bottle made him aware of what was going on.

"Hey, baby," He'd cooed softly, sitting on the edge of the bed. His hand would make its way under the covers and to your stomach, massaging the soft skin gently.

"I missed you," You'd reply quietly, looking over at him with a tired expression. He'd give you a gentle smile, leaning down to kiss your forehead.

"yeah? I missed you too. You feelin' bad?" He'd question, already knowing the answer. You'd hum in response and nod your head. His other hand would come up to your hair, stroking it gently to get it out of your face. He'd feel your warm skin underneath his touch, making him worry further. He knew there wasn't much he could do to help when you were on your period but he always tried his best.

"You need anything?"

"just you," your soft reply would get him moving in an instant. He'd match his way over to his dresser and peel off his clothes before putting a clean shirt and sleep shorts on before heading back to the bed, joining you under the covers. He'd pull your back flush to his chest, his hand finding your stomach again as it continues to gently massage the skin, knowing it helped your cramps a little.

"Try to sleep, Birdie," He'd coo again, peppering your neck and cheek in small, feathery kisses. The warmth and comfort from his body and touch would relax you just enough you could slip unconscious, blissfully unaware of your pain as you slept.

can we talk about how much queer and trans joy was this season? maggie and nina. they/them muriel, saraquel, beelzebub, even GOD. "you're a good lad" "im not actually, either". that one shopkeeper and his non binary spouse, played by a non binary actor. beelzebub and gabriel. shax, nina and maggie all thinking azi and crowley were together. also yes i'm gonna mention: crowley and aziraphale's kiss. it's just, i get that everyone's hurt and so am i but can we please focus on how beautiful this season was to us? we got so much and i'm so happy, despite the ending.

Tired: Rise!Splinter is a neglectful and awful father who doesn’t care about his kids >:(

Wired: Rise!Splinter’s negligence comes from a place of deep trauma that he’s carried with him his whole life – losing his mother, having been betrayed by the love of is life, being imprisoned and forced to fight for his life, used as an experiment and subsequently being mutated and losing his whole identity as a person – and while it certainly doesn’t excuse his behavior, there is no doubt that this man loves his sons fiercely despite his own shortcomings and perhaps it is exactly that love and care that causes him to keep his children at arms length in hopes to spare them his family’s cursed legacy that grooms them into martyrs and are thus destined to die young, a sacrifice for the greater good that Splinter is never willing to make even if it means forfeiting the world to the Shredder. Splinter’s journey of fatherhood began by being completely unprepared as a fresh young single father of four young children that depend on him to survive and there is no surprise he’s hit almost every bump there possibly is when raising a child but never in his life has Splinter ever blamed or resented his children in any way – he is not perfect and he’s aware and he tries to do better all because he loves his kids this fucking much bc despite all the shit he’s been through, those kids made him realize that he can try again. to dismiss him as an awful father is a gross mischaracterization of a deeply traumatized man of color who evidently tried his fucking hardest not to pass on the hurt onto his own children while grappling with his own demons and the crushing destiny of his family’s blood line that took away his mother.
