Setting the scene
My teeth are something that I have always been conscious about, from photographs being taken through to speaking/smiling at strangers. It all started about 10 years ago. Throughout my adult life I gradually became more and more self-conscious comparing how my teeth looked compared to others.
After much deliberation and multiple consultations I decided that now was the time for me to take the plunge and commit to braces. I have an impacted canine, meaning invisiline was not an option and fixed appliance was a must. After a couple of consultations I decided to go with incognito lingual braces on my upper arch and ceramic on my lower arch.
For lingual braces I visited the Incognito website where they have a list of all qualified orthodontists at varying level. From here I selected 2 at elite level, and went for consultation.
Ten Dental has been my choice, and are also now my dentist.
After looking online for advice/ guidance on living with linguals I struggled to find a one stop shop for all. So I decided to write this blog to cover my journey, pitfalls and recommendations of things that will help others.
Enjoy! B x
