Definitely didn't help that when the manipulative kid suddenly informs him of all the crazy shit hes been doing behind the scenes to effect poor Chuuya's time at the mafia.
Dazai going through the effort to not only personally write but also print and publish "Chuuya's A Sore Loser" newsletters to everyone in the entire mafia WEEKLY.
Newsletters that EVERYONE READS??? And not to mention it was happening for an entire year before Dazai mentioned it in passing. Everyone reads it but nobody told poor Chuuya about it. Chuuya literally states when Dazai tells him about it that everyone was always smirking/ laughing a little at him when he first joined.
When he JOINED!! Because Dazai started writing immediately after their first game (prolly why he was mia honestly). Because!! Dazai started this newsleter before Chuuya was even a member of the mafia. He set him up from the start and then double-triple-quadrupled down by finding new ways to set him up.
And from what we've seen of Ada! Dazai, he doesn't seem to like writing his own reports and can and WILL pass them onto literally anyone else involved, which means Chuuya has probably been writing all their mission reports.
Imagine how infuriating that would be?? You don't have time to do your paperwork THAT YOU ARE PAID TO DO but you have time to write a WEEKLY newsletter about me, print who-knows-how-many copies of it, then pass it out to everyone in the entire mob??
(edit) I went on twitter for more info and was reminded by a thread from an @ called TatasenkoMana that "--in the gakuen AU of the fourteen WAN, Dazai used to write absolutely everything about Chuuya's daily life,27 books talking only about their time together, pretending it was because the chibi was so annoying while it was because he couldnt take his eyes of him. "
like??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Guys Chuuya's feelings toward Dazai must be so absolutely incomprehensible right? Right??
Like, you meet this kid who insults you and acts all intellectually superior and then turns around and defends you in front of your friends. Is like "Let's kill this dude together" after which you demand him explain why he's so gung ho about living suddenly, and seem to be satisfied with his answer?? So you put your life in this asshole kid's hands and he comes through. You did it. You defeated the bad guy.
Then this kid turns about and reveals he was playing you and your friends the whole time, and blackmails you with your friends' lives (friends who stabbed you literally in the back like 10 seconds ago, it was a really shitty day). You join the mafia but you pretend somehow you did it of your own volition and not because of the manipulations of this kid.
Fast forward a year later, you make new genuine friends who die immediately by some French asshole trying to control your life, and the shitty manipulative kid is back, saves you from imploding on yourself and carries you all the way to your dying friends so you could say goodbye, running off before you can stop him. Goes completely AWOL when you need him for your plan to kill the French asshole, shows up AGAIN to the place you'd just been tortured in. You decide the only reasonable way to deal with this is to tie him to a pole and spin him around until he's sick, and he 100% agrees. You come up with a plan to finally beat the French asshole. Oops the plan backfires. Now you gotta trust the shitty manipulative kid with your life so you can save the city and maybe the world. Somehow everything works out.
Oh, not to mention the horrible hallucinations you had of this kid claiming you're just like him.
He caused your friends to abandon you. He plays arcade games with you every Sunday. He is the worst version of yourself. He is a menace. You trust him with your life. He claims to want to brainwash you into being your maid. He drew you into the mafia only to ditch you three years later. How Chuuya doesn't have an aneurysm every time Dazai is mentioned I don't know.

(this was harder than i thought. for some drivers i had like 5 different quotes and for some it was really hard so it doesn't really fit. Remember to not take this too serious, it's just for fun!!!!)
Lewis: "man, that man is non-stop!"
Valtteri: "Hamilton faces an endless uphill climb, what is it like in his shoes?"
lance: "Your perfume smells like your daddys got money."
kimi: "Two pints o' Sam Adams, but I'm workin' on three!"
Daniel: "What time is it? showtime! showtime!"
Lando: "Everything's legal in New Jersey"
Seb: "It's much harder when it's all your call."
Charles: "I am just like my country, I'm young scrappy and hungry and I'm not throwing away my shot!"
Alex: "I wanna be in the room where it happens."
Max: "Gotta be my own man, like my father but bolder."
Daniil: "What'd i miss?"
Pierre & Esteban: "You would need to cite a more specific grievance" & "Here's an itemized list of 30 years of disagreements."
Kevin: "I hope that you burn."
Antonio: "Talk less. Smile more."
Checo: "Can we get back to politics please?"
Carlos: "Somebody has to stand up for the south!"
Romain: "I came from afar just to say 'bonsoir'. "
Nicky: "And Peggy!"
George: "I'm willing to wait for it"

hamilton thoughts part 2
More stuff I love and/or I was thinking about! This will still only put me at like half of what I have to say, lol.
I can’t blame Hamilton tbh because I would do Maria in a heartbeat. She rocks that red dress, and her hair is amazing, and goddamn is her voice sexy.
I love the amount of acting in the kissing, when Hamilton kisses Eliza it’s lovely and sweet, and when he kisses Maria it’s pure lust “I wanna fuck you right now”.
Angelica’s body language in The Schuyler Sisters is so great, the pure disdain she’s dripping towards the men flinging themselves at her, and the way she looks at Burr, omg.
Hamilton, Laurens, and Burr strutting and their “hey, hey, hey”, I mean, yes, please take me now. Lin fucking winking! You knew what you were doing.
Also whenever Lin does that thing where his voice gets a little low, it does things to me. It’s so growly in Helpless when he sings “as long as I’m alive, Eliza, swear to god you’ll never feel so”, especially in the cast recording, I… Yeah. It does things to me.
Speaking of that bit, when he sings about Angelica and Eliza spins around like “oh shit” and then he grabs her and is all “no stress”, love.
Phillipa Soo’s voice is GORGEOUS, and she is so amazingly natural in her acting. She’s absolutely heartbreaking in Stay Alive (Reprise), and that little scream!
IDK why I like so much the part in The Battle of Yorktown when Hamilton goes “take the bullets out your gun, the bullets out your gun”, but I do.
Jefferson prancing around in that fucking purple velvet with his cane during What’d I Miss, complete gold.
“You punched the bursar?” *snaps his fingers and points* “Yes.” DYING.
Lafayette is SO HOT. (I mean, Jefferson is hot too obviously because Daveed and hair but there’s something about Lafayette that really does it for me.) His intro “oui oui mon ami… etc” is so great.
The costuming is spectacular but I have a special fondness for the soldier uniforms because they all look so goddamn good in them.
It’s also really cool how they use clothing to show the passage of time, even just in the intro Alexander Hamilton with him being shrugged into different jackets.
Jefferson dragging Hamilton’s clothes when he’s out there wearing purple velvet lmao.
Relatedly, Burr being all “the only common thread has been your disrespect” when he’s been calling Hamilton’s mom a whore every other song.
“Here’s an itemized list of 30 years of disagreements”/”Sweet Jesus”, Hamilton you dramatic bitch.
The way the ensemble member drops the last page in Burr’s hand with that flourish is so funny.
I’m not sure what the best thing about Hamilton’s hip thrusting move in Helpless is, the move itself, the way Eliza is so into it, the face her dad makes when he sees, or the way Hamilton immediately stops and straightens his coat. LMAO.
It’s Quiet Uptown makes me cry every goddamn time. Renee’s beautiful narration, Lin’s emotion, Phillipa’s single tear, the way she takes his hand and he looks like he can’t believe it…
Right when Philip dies, Hamilton grasps Eliza’s hand, and then she pulls away from him, and it’s soul-crushing.
“Have you read this?” and Alex Lacamoire raises his hand to get a pamphlet, I love it.
Hamilton drinking his way through One Last Time and looking like he’s gonna cry. <33333 Also, Chris Jackson nails it, and I love that he gets his own little finale song.
“I was chosen for the constitutional convention!!!” What a nerd. <33333333
I’m sure the other Hamiltons have all been brilliant and I’ve heard good things but I love Lin’s whole thing, the way he carries himself and looks like he’s always ready for a fight and is just bouncing around and I just… love him, okay.
When he flips his jacket up at “I practically perfected it”.
The cabinet meetings as literal rap battles and just being Hamilton and Jefferson railing at each other is the best.
Everything about “whatever the hell it is you do in Monticello”, Hamilton jumping around, Jefferson’s face, Washington’s face…
I know one of the criticisms of the play is that it doesn’t do enough re: slavery, and I don’t feel that I’m in a position to dispute that, but I do think it’s pretty noteworthy that What’d I Miss has the ensemble members playing Jefferson’s slaves running around and literally on their knees doing stuff for him.
Satisfied!! Angelica is a queen. Renee is a queen.
The fact that so much of the choreography in Helpless/Satisfied is basically a mirror is SO COOL. And when they move in reverse! Because it’s a flashback! And the way they all move around Angelica!
Honestly the choreography is SO GOOD. I love how they show the warfare especially.
The dudes all egging Hamilton on when he wants to rip into Samuel Seabury. And Burr being all, ‘no’, lol.
Sometimes I get super distracted watching the ensemble instead of the leads. They’re amazing.

Oops meant to put N. 13. But my favourite fic(s), cause I can't just chose 1 can I, of yours are: 'I've been the archer, I've been the prey' & 'Send in that sunshine (cause baby I'm coming by) & 'Time may change me (but I can't trace time) & many, many more. :)
Aw, thanks! That’s so sweet of you!
Those are three very different fics, I love that! I guess I can go a bit all over the place, within my typical dearericbittle production banter-y fluff ;)
13. Do you outline your fics? How much of a headache would someone get if they just looked at an outline of yours without reading the fic?
I usually don’t go in and outline the entire fic, but especially with longer fics, I write down some lines of dialogue, maybe some actions and a bit about what’s happening for the next few scenes. Sometimes even all of them.
I’m currently working on a longer fic (probably multi-chapter too). So I’m not showing anything from the scene I’m currently working on, because that would be too spoiler-y. But this is from later on in that fic:
THE DAY AFTER
Stiles: Come over, I have questions.
Derek: WTF
Stiles has ALL THE QUESTIONS - It's his version of the Hamilton scene where it's like "here's an itemized list of 30 years of disagreements"
Derek: "Sweet Jesus”
The boy just wants to know all the things, and he basically spends hours writing it all down. He has a list of like, numbered questions. And if answer to 37 is yes, proceed to 43.
Stiles: Alright, thanks, that was super helpful.
Derek: sassbrows
Stiles: Wow, yeah, that’s a familiar look
Derek: I’ll give you some space.
For some reason I write notes in present tense while the fic itself is past tense? IDK.

talking about Hamilton makes me feel cringe lmao but favorite song from one last time and/or your obedient servant?
LmaO
From One Last Time:
Funniest line "I don't know what you've heard, but Jefferson started it" like bitch.
Favorite line: "and if we get this right, we're gonna teach them how to say goodbye"
Favorite line to sing: I anticipate with pleasing expectations that retreat in which I promise myself to realise the sweet enjoyment of my partaking in the midst of my fellow citizens the benign influence of the new laws under a free government, the ever favorite object of my heart"
Your Obedient Servant:
Funniest line: "even if i said what you think I said, you would need to cite a more specific grievance, here's an itemized list of 30 years of disagreements"
Favorite line: "you've kept me from the room where it happens for the last time"
Favorite line to sing: the last "I have the honor to be your obedient servant, A. Ham A. Burr"

Darkiplier and the Actor - Your Obedient Servant (Hamilton Parody)
So I’ve always loved rewriting lyrics from my favorite songs and making parodies of them... This is one I’ve kept on my mind for a while because I think this song really fits well with the Actor and Dark. Hope you like!
Song here!
Bold - Dark
Normal - Actor Mark
How does the Actor, the arrogant egotist, the orphan bastard, The cruel son somehow fool his old friends, his enemies, People he’s been close with since the beginning, Just to keep me from winning? I want to be in the room where it happens, The room where it happens, the room where it happens. You’ve kept me from the room where it happens, For the last time.
Dear Mark the Actor, I am slow to anger, but I toe the line, As I reckon with the effects of your life on mine. I look back on where they failed, and in every place I’ve checked, The only common thread has been your disrespect. Now you call me amoral, a dangerous disgrace, If you’ve got something to say, name a time and place, face to face. They both have the honor to be your obedient servant, D and C.
Mr. Villain of the Show, I am not the reason no one trusts you, no one knows what you believe. I will not equivocate on my opinion, I have always worn you on my sleeve. Even if I said what you think I said, you would need to cite a more specific grievance. Here’s an itemized list of 30 years of disagreements!
Sweet Jesus.
Hey! I have not been shy, I am just a guy in the public eye, Trying to do my best for reputation, I don’t want to fight, But I won’t apologize for doing what’s right. I have the honor to be your obedient servant, M. Act.
Careful how you proceed, good man. Incompetent indeed, good man. Answer for the accusations I lay at your feet, Or prepare to bleed, good man.
Dark, your problems are legit, Though I stand by what I’ve done, every bit of it. You stand only for yourself, it’s what you do, I can’t apologize because I made you!
Then stand, foolish Actor. Hero vs villain. Let’s see who will win.
Better count sins.
I have the honor to be your obedient servant...
M. Act.
D and C.

For Every 🎵 I Get I’ll Post A Song I Associate With My Muse! || Accepting!
Guess I’ll get a few of the musical ones out of the way!
Or at least more specifically the Hamilton ones. Though I do feel like these work best for seasons 1 and 2 Viren who’s just... constantly trying and failing to play politics, a lot of the songs still do work for me. It’s not like there’s any musicals where someone’s singing about turning everybody into fire monsters so I work with what I can, we’re just gonna have to wait for TDP on Broadway for that
Take a Break - Hamilton
My dearest Angelica,“Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this petty pace from day to day”I trust you’ll understand the reference to another Scottish tragedy without my havin’ toName the playThey think me MacbethAmbition is my follyI’m a polymath, a pain in the ass--massive pain
The Room Where It Happens - Hamilton
When you got skin in the game, you stay in the gameBut you don’t get to win unless you’re playin’ the gameOh, you get love for it, you get hate for it,You get nothing if you wait for it, wait for it, waitGod help and forgive me,I wanna build somethin’ that’s gonna outlive meWhat do you want, Burr? What do you want, Burr?If you stand for nothing, Burr, what’ll you fall for?
Your Obedient Servant - Hamilton - Because I always like picturing young High Mage Viren new to his position on the council and just constantly ready to throw down with EVERYBODY. Like he is angry and he is passionate and he is going to argue and argue and ARGUE about his budget proposal for his Magical Research until you give in.
Mr. Vice President,I am not the reason no one trusts youNo one knows what you believe!I will not equivocate on my opinionI have always worn it on my sleeve.Even if I said what you think I saidYou would need to cite a more specific grievanceHere’s an itemized list of 30 years of disagreements(”Sweet Jesus...”)
Hey!I have not been shyI am just a guyIn the public eyeTrying to do my best for our republicI don’t wanna fightBut I won’t apologize for doin’ what’s right!
I have the honor to be your obedient servantA. Ham

50 Hamilton Lyrics Prompts for Writing!
Modification of my first attempt at digging up lyrics from one of my favorite musicals to use as writing prompts/RP starters. Keep, change or choose pronouns, gendered terms and place names as relevant to the characters and AU/setting you're writing/RPing: "he" and "she" are replaced with "they" in the prompts.
1.) "Why do you write like you're running out of time?"
2.) "Tomorrow there'll be more of us, telling the story of tonight..."
3.) "And if there's a reason I'm by their side when so many have tried, I'm willing to wait for it."
4.) "I remember that night, I just might regret that night for the rest of my days."
5.) "Most disputes die and no one shoots."
6.) "Look around, look around, at how lucky we are to be alive right now."
7.) "You have no control who lives, who dies, who tells your story."
8.) "You knock me out, I fall apart..."
9.) "You can write rhymes, but you can't write mine!"
10.) "I wish I could say that was the last time, I said that last time, it became a pastime."
11.) "No one else was in the room where it happened."
12.) "I wanna build something that's gonna outlive me."
13.) "I swear, your pride will be the death of us all."
14.) "And revolution is messy but now is the time to stand."
15.) "We're gonna teach 'em how to say goodbye."/"Teach me how to say goodbye."
16.) "In the eye of a hurricane, there is quiet for just a moment."
17.) "I wrote my way out of hell, I wrote my way to revolution."
18.) "I know my sister/brother like I know my own mind: you will never find anyone as trusting or as kind."
19.) "You ever see somebody ruin their own life?"
20.) "'Be careful with that one, love: they will do what it takes to survive.'"
21.) "You and your words, obsessed with your legacy."
22.) "I'm erasing myself from the narrative."/"Let me be a part of the narrative, in the stories they will write someday."/"I put myself back in the narrative."
23.) "I hope that you burn."
24.) "Gotta be my own man/woman, like my father/mother, but bolder."
25.) "How 'bout when I get back, we all strip down to our socks?"
26.) "Your father's/mother's a scoundrel, and so, it seems, are you."
27.) "See you on the dueling ground."
28.) "To take someone's life, that is something you can't shake."
29.) "I'm doing everything I can, but the wound was already infected when they arrived."
30.) "You changed the melody every time."/"I would always change the line."
31.) "There is suffering too terrible to name."/"There's a grace too powerful to name."
32.) "I never liked the quiet before."
33.) "____ , you would like it uptown: it's quiet uptown."/"____ , do you like it uptown? It's quiet uptown."
34.) "Forgiveness... can you imagine?"
35.) "I'm chasing what I want, and you know what?" "What?" "I learned that from you."
36.) "I look back on where I've failed, and in every place I've checked, the only common thread has been your disrespect."
37.) "I have the honor to be your obedient servant, _ . ___."
38.) "I will not equivocate on my opinion, I have always worn it on my sleeve."
39.) "Here's an itemized list of 30 years of disagreements." "Sweet Jesus."
40.) "You stand only for yourself. It's what you do. I won't apologize because it's true."
41.) "Then stand, ____ . ______*, dawn. Guns drawn." "You're on."
42.) "Come back to bed, that would be enough."
43.) "Hey... best of wives/husbands and best of women/men."
44.) "Legacy. What is a legacy? It's planting seeds in a garden you never get to see."
45.) "I'm running out of time, I'm running and my time's up. Wise up. Eyes. Up."
46.) "____ , my love, take your time. I'll see you on the other side." / "Oh, I can't wait to see you again: it's only a matter of time..."
47. "Now I'm the villain in your history."
48.) "And when you're gone, who remembers your name, who keeps your flame, who tells your story?"
49.) "I ask myself what would you do if you had more time?"
50.) "When my time is up, have I done enough: will they tell your/our/my story?"
*Place name (originally "Weehawken").
Send in your seconds asks see if they can set the record straight for any fandom (Hamilton or otherwise!) we're in together, or for my OCs. Make sure to include character/s, prompt number and variation (where applicable).

Here's an itemized list of lines from the Hamilton lyric that just make the musical what it is
Schuyler sisters
I know it's not funny but your perfume smells like your daddy's got money
Farmer refuted
It's hard to listen to you with a straight face
My dog speaks more eloquently than the
I pray the king shows you his mercy- is he in Jersey
Battle of Yorktown
Immigrants- we get the job done
We in the shit now- someone's gotta shovel it
Non stop
Yo who the f is this?
Cabinet battle #1
Men quote them- don't act surprised you guys coz I wrote them
That's my alcohol
Turn around - bend over, I'll show you where my shoe fits
Cabinet battle #2
We signed a treaty with a King whose head is now in a basket,
Would you like to take it out and ask it?
Should we honor our treaty, King Louis’s head?
“Uh, do whatever you want I’m super dead!”
Daddys calling
I know him
I wasn't aware that's something a person could do
They will tear each other Into pieces- jesus christ this will be fun
Blow us all away
Everything is legal in New Jersey
The election of 1800
And they say I'm a francophile at least they know I know where France is
He seems approachable- like you could grab a beer with him
We can change that - you know why? [..] because I'm the president
Your obedient servant

Little Hamilton Things
Some of my favorite little things from Hamilton 5/13
-During Arron Burr, Sir Mulligan, Laurens, and Lafayette were all hanging around a table banging on it and hollering to keep the beat for each other. When Alexander said “I think your pants look hot”, Mulligan, seated sideways on the bench, lifted his leg up, whipped his coat back, and dramatically gestured at his pants.
-In Farmer Refuted, Mulligan pushed Alexander forward and Burr tried to hold him back. Seabury got off the platform he was standing on and moved it in front of Alex after Alex was trying to get in Seabury’s face. Alexander then stood up on the platform behind Seabury and crouched down/bent around Seabury’s shoulder to try and get in Seabury’s face until Burr pulled him off the platform. Their pushy physicality was honestly so familiar and endearing.
*more under the cut to keep this post from being obnoxiously long
-Hamilton and Lafayette did a little sassy knowing nod at each other for ‘immigrants, we get the job done”
-In What Comes Next, after King George said “I’m so blue” he paused for a moment and then impatiently stomped his foot. When his foot hit the stage the lights turned blue. Also, his ‘awesome wow’ was such dry dead pan.
-During the retelling of Laurens’ death scene (which I did not know was going to happen it caught me so emotionally off-guard) Alexander was so still and stunned. Because he’s such a vocal character this silence spoke volumes.
-When Jefferson came on stage for the beginning of What Did I Miss the audience cheered quickly. He then put his hand to his ear and moved his arm up to make everyone clap/cheer more. He did a ‘that’s better’ nod in response.
-Eliza beatboxed and waved her arm around during Philip’s “I am a poet” rap. When Philip was done and he went to hug Alexander, he bent down and swooped up to just hug Alex’s waist and make him seem more child-like.
-In Room Where it Happened I really liked seeing the contrast between Burr energetically dancing/running/jumping off tables and Jefferson standing tall and slowly striding across the stage (with Madison always comically close behind him).
-At the end of I Know Him King George walked over to the side of the stage and made an ensemble member move a stool for him, rearranging it once or twice before he actually sat down to watch Hamilton fall apart.
-Hamilton stood in the middle of the second level when he shouted “John you fat mother-”. As he said ‘mother’ he dropped a big stack of newspapers. As the newspapers hit the ground the BLEEP happened and the lights flashed bright red which beautifully led into Burr’s “Hamilton’s out of control”.
-Hurricane was powerfully quiet and calm with dim lighting and ensemble members gently swirling furniture around until everything explored during The Reynolds Pamphlet and everyone threw papers in Hamilton’s face. These papers were then gathered up and actually burned by Eliza sticking them into a lantern she had on stage with her. I think these three songs flowed wonderfully together.
-Eliza scream-sobbed when Philip died and Hamilton stood stoically next to her. Again, his silence was jarring but I took it here as a mix of mourning his son but also realizing he had fucked up with Eliza and didn’t have a chance of comforting her because of the severity of the situation and what he had just recently done
-The stage spun Eliza, Philip (lying on a platform/bed), and Alexander to the back of the stage where the floor under them was pitch black and grave-like. Outside of where they were standing the ground was lit to look like cobblestones. As Quiet Uptown went on the black area was filled in with cobblestones until Alex and Eliza were standing next to each other and held hands center stage.
-For Obedient Servant Hamilton sat at a desk with Burr standing off to the side of the stage. During “here’s an itemized list of 30 years of disagreements” ensemble members handed Burr paper to punctuate each syllable. Burr looked wildly bewildered and resigned, with a hint of indignance.
-At the end of World Was Wide Enough, when Hamilton gets shot, he stayed standing but doubled over. An ensemble member sat on either side of him with their knees up, and moved their feet and arms forward in a rowing motion when Burr said “they row him back across the Hudson”. These motions coupled with the stage rotating and a blue wash lighting really made it look realistic and haunting.

Hamilton stuff
So I saw Hamilton at the Orpheum last weekend, and it was amazing. So much of it was the way I imagined it would be from listening to the soundtrack a million times, but there were also a lot of little things I wouldn’t have known from listening to the soundtrack. Here’s a list of the things I remember, under the cut because it got long. For @inkedinserendipity <3
-the “we fought with him, me I died for him” thing in the opening song. Everyone was standing at different parts of the stage, and when they said their line, the spotlight shone on them. Like idk what I was expecting for this part of the song, but the way they did the spotlights was really cool
-Eliza booping Peggy’s nose during The Schuyler Sisters song
- in The Farmer Refuted, Alexander actually gets up on Seabury’s platform to argue with him. And when Burr says “Alexander please” he literally picks him up and puts him back on the floor. It was great
- in You’ll Be Back, the way King George delivered the line “everybody” was really different than the soundtrack. In the soundtrack he was all jovial. But here he said it in a threatening, “y’all better get your asses over here right now” tone, and the ensemble rushed onstage in a frenzy. It was hilarious.
- the “rewind” thing in Satisfied was really cool. Like, they actually moved the floor to make it look like the scene was rewinding. Idk but it was awesome.
-the audience erupted in thunderous applause when they said “immigrants we get the job done”
- in What Comes Next, King George petulantly stomps his foot when he says “I’m so blue”
-the extra scene with Laurens. He was actually there onstage, in the spotlight, while Eliza read the letter from his father. When I saw the script of this scene online, I was like “wow Alex what an asshole, you just found out your friend died and all you say is you have so much work to do???” But, at least the way Michael Luwoye delivered it, he actually seemed really upset and just didn’t know how to deal with his emotions
- in Non-Stop when Burr says “Hamilton sit down” he pushes him into a chair and Alex just. Pops back up.
- in “What’d I miss” Hamilton interrupts Washington to introduce himself to Jefferson. Just straight up cuts off the President.
- when Jefferson finishes his part in Cabinet Battle 1, he does a mic drop. Like literally drops the mic into Madison’s hand.
- when Hamilton says “doing whatever the hell it is you do in Monticello” he does this ridiculous little dance that’s supposed to be mocking Jefferson, and Jefferson actually laughs
- the audience actually participated in the Cabinet Battles, with the cheers and the ooooohs. It was fun
- Eliza beatboxing for lil Philip when he recites his poem in Take a Break. Also props to the guy for making himself look shorter than Hamilton, who is short
- at the end of Cabinet Battle 2, when Jefferson and Hamilton are facing off about “did you forget Lafayette” they gradually step closer to each other until they’re right up in each other’s faces. It’s funny cause Alex is all “fight me” but he’s like a head shorter
- also in Cabinet Battle 2, Hamilton actually pretends to take King Louis’s head out of a basket and talk to it. Which I figured he would do, but it was still funny to see
- idk I just really loved the Cabinet Battles
- in The Reynolds Pamphlet, Jefferson literally skips around the stage, throwing papers all over the place. He even gives one to the conductor of the orchestra
-Burn was so moving. It’s the only song where someone is completely alone onstage (other than the King George ones), and Solea really killed it. And it looked like she was dealing with a real fire too
- when Hamilton is all “here’s an itemized list of 30 years of disagreements”, the delivery people actually take the list to Burr on the other side of the stage, one page at a time.
- Hamilton’s death soliloquy. The people “on the other side” were there onstage and so was Eliza, but in a way that you could tell it was happening in his head. Idk how to explain it but it was really awesome and I cried.
