Heyyy it would be awesome if you wrote a third part for “37” where Charles gives Logan’s memories back and we go through flashbacks of some of his best memories, his wedding, the day his kids were born…something like that, it would be very heartwarming 🥰🥰🥰 or even maybe coming back from the past and seeing his kids again
sunflower
part three of "37"
CW: fluffy fluff, all the feels, suggestive, profanity, takes place after the events of Days Future Past, very bittersweet, your daughter's a lil menace, your son's a lil cutie pie, angst if you squint, i never know how to end these things, etc.
Tumblr media
"Logan, the mind is a fickle thing," Charles sighed, resting his hands on his desk with a solemn look. "I can't possibly guarantee that this will work, much less in one session—" "I don't care how long it takes."
Logan's face drew tight with the statement, his patience visibly wearing thin.
He'd been listening to the same bullshit for twenty minutes...
"I don't care if I need a hundred different fuckin' sessions. I'm gettin' these memories back," he spelled out, leaning forward in his seat and roughly tapping his finger on the desk. "It doesn't make any damn sense. This body's been in this timeline for fifty-fuckin'-years and it doesn't remember shit."
"Because it is your consciousness that is the problem, Logan," Charles groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "That is what I've been trying to tell you."
Logan piped down for a moment, brows knitting together as he leaned back in his seat, taking an annoyed drag of his cigar.
"Your psyche is from a completely different timeline, and now resides in a completely different body. It's like asking to recall the memories of a random person walking down the street," the professor explained, again.
Sadly, he hung his head, greatly sorry for the misfortune of his friend.
"I wish there was something I could do, Logan. Truly. But I'm afraid it just can't be done."
But Logan didn't buy it.
Huffing a small plume of smoke out his nose, he glanced out the window, catching sight of you teaching a class on the lawn.
Using your powers, you grew a large sunflower out from the ground, the younger kids marveling at the sight as you began pointing out its anatomy, most of them enamored by the huge petals—which were bigger than their little six year-old frames.
And in a small pause in time, your eyes flitted up to meet his through the window, that heart-stopping smile finding its way onto your lips as you gave him a tiny wave.
It warmed him, experiencing your light for the first time in years without the threat of annihilation on the horizon.
Domesticity like this is something he'd craved all his life, and now that he had it in his grasp, he wasn't going to settle for anything less.
A stilling chill descended on his chest at the thought of your smile, and the countless others he'd missed.
Your tears of joy when he proposed.
Your frazzled excitement with the wedding planning.
Your radiance as you walked down the aisle.
He missed it all.
And he'd be damned if he didn't do everything in his power to try and get it back.
"Charles..." Logan started, stamping out his cigar in a nearby ashtray. "My whole life is standin' out there under that tree... and I can't remember a goddamn thing about her after 1973."
His tone turned cold, eyes sharp as he stared the professor down.
"I don't care if you have to rip my head in half... I'm gettin' those memories back."
The old man let out a sigh, accepting that going on like this would bring no other outcome.
He'd have to give the man what he wanted... consequences be damned.
'Let's hope he survives...'
"This will be violent," Charles stated off-rip, wheeling himself out from behind his desk. "I am essentially hammering your mind like a dam, making cracks in its defenses until it eventually gives way."
Logan nodded, watching as the man settled in front of him, raising his two fingers to his temple.
"Now... try not to move."
Logan shut his eyes, and in an instant, it felt as if his head was struck by a speeding train.
He let out a growl of pain as images began to flash behind his eyes, the next one always coming quicker than the last.
"Hon, which color do you think would go best with my complexion? Eggshell or Porcelain?" you asked, eagerly holding up two different swatches against your skin.
"You look beautiful in anything, baby," he stated as if it was the simplest thing in the world, wrapping an arm around your waist. "Either one is fine."
"As sweet as that is... it doesn't help," you huffed, playfully attempting to scold him.
"Fine then. Eggshell," he answered, quickly.
You raised a brow, an amused smile playing at your lips as you leaned in closer, "Are you just saying that to get me to shut up?"
He let out a chuckle, resting his forehead against yours, "Never."
Yes...
"Can't wait 'til this damn reception is over," he growled in your ear, lips dragging down your neck as you both hid in a nearby hallway. "First time I've been alone with you since I do."
"Logan..." you gasped, tucking your lip between your teeth in an attempt to muffle yourself as he tightly grasped your hips. "Someone'll hear..."
"Then I guess you better keep quiet," he smirked against your skin, giving your collarbone a soft nip.
It's all coming back...
"Logan..." you started, nervously, hands held firmly behind your back. "I have something to tell you... and I'm open to talk about it if you're upset..."
His brows furrowed as he turned away from his dresser, looking toward you with an air of concern.
"What's wrong?" he asked, his protective instinct spiking at the sight of your fearful expression. "What happened?"
Unable to say it, you slowly held up your hand, revealing a positive pregnancy test.
His eyes widened like saucers, throat drying at the tiny piece of plastic.
"You're... pregnant?"
You nodded, silently, his reaction not soothing your anxiety one bit.
But, as if on cue, he moved toward you, striding across the room and pulling you into a bone crushing hug.
"I'm gonna be a father..." he muttered into your hair, the phrase not one he thought he'd ever hear. "I'm gonna be a father..."
Wait...
"Logan!" you cried, tears welling in your eyes as you glanced up at him, scared. "I can't...mmmph fuck!... I can't do it! Hurts too much!"
"C'mon, baby, keep pushin'. You're doin' so good," he cooed, swiping stray strands of hair out your face as the nurse on the other side of the bed helped cheer you on. "Just a little bit more. You're right there."
With a grunt, you squeezed his hand tight, letting out a growl of pain as you gave another push.
Pop!
Logan's eyes shot wide, the man nearly biting through his tongue as he glanced down at his hand.
You dislocated his finger.
Though it seemed to be worth it as that final push was what did it.
"It's a girl!" the doctor smiled, carefully holding up the newborn.
Looking upon her small, chubbed face, Logan felt a sense of protectiveness sink into his chest—one that he only felt when things came to you.
In that moment, and every moment after that, he knew he would lay his life down for her, no question.
And she wasn't even a minute old yet.
I have—
"James! Get back here!" a little girl squealed with laughter, bursting into the office after a little boy, who looked terrified.
Logan snapped out his head with a gasp, shooting up from his seat and unsheathing his claws out of muscle memory.
'James...'
Quickly, Logan retracted his claws as the boy ducked behind his leg, gripping tightly onto his jeans as the girl stormed over.
She looked just like you, save for a few small details, and had a small snaggle-tooth poking out on her right side, only adding to her adorableness.
Not to mention the bone claws she had protruding from her knuckles.
"No fair! You can't hide behind Dad every time you're scared!" she furrowed her brows, upset.
"Mommy told you about your claws, Laura..." James mumbled, voice barely above a whisper as he shyly peeked out from behind his human shield.
'Laura...'
The boy was Logan's mirror image, looking almost exactly like he did at that age..
Apple doesn't fall too far from the tree...
Charles could sense the pieces clicking in Logan's mind, and figured lending a hand would be best after what he'd been through.
"Logan, these are your—" "Laura Marie Howlett!" your voice cut in, the little girl flinching at the sound.
Quickly, she retracted her claws, whipping around with a guilty smile, which was met by your less-than-approving glare.
"What have I told you about chasing your brother inside? And what have I told you about using your claws to do it?" you scolded, walking into the office. "You two are interrupting your father and Professor Xavier."
Logan let out a soft sigh, taking the moment to finally look over his family.
Like a slow moving stream, things were coming back to him, the feeling like a fog clearing from the recesses of his mind.
Every birthday.
Every boo-boo.
Every first.
Slowly but surely, they were all returning.
Without warning, Logan dropped to his knees, pulling the two kids into a tight hug, fiercely fighting off the emotion swelling in his chest.
"Daddy?" James squeaked, concerned.
"Are you okay?" Laura asked, confused.
He nodded, silently, the sight making your heart both burst and ache.
After all this time, your husband was truly whole.
Fifty years of suffering and agony had finally come to an end.

Part 5: The Answers We Wait For
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 6 - Part 7 - Part 8 - Part 9
I'd go back in time and change it (but I can't)
(In which a writer's busy schedule somehow still had time for her favorite obsession)
Pairing: Paige Bueckers X Azzi Fudd
Themes: Angst, Pining
Words: 7.0K (it's very on-brand that my busiest week would produce the longest chapter)
TW: Swearing (I think that's it?)
A/N: Happy Monday lovelies :) How I managed to pull this off is between me and God at this point but here we are. I know it's been an interesting day to say the least, so I'm hoping me living up to my promises can be a silver lining. Quick note that I already fucked up the timeline at some point and Paige Olivia have actually been divorced for almost 3 years. I'll change that eventually. I actually didn't even try to really edit this chapter and in the choice between editing tomorrow and giving it to y'all today, I chose the latter. So please help a girl out and point out my typos/mistakes if you spot them and I will also eventually go back and edit. As always, let me know what you liked, what you disliked and anything you'd like to see going forwards. Have a lovely week my loves <3
December 2027
Marriage and weddings had never been at the forefront of Paige’s mind. To be completely honest, for most of her life, there wasn’t much occupying her brain other than the court under her feet and the basketball in her hands. But the couple of times she had let herself picture it, she’d always thought that she’d have a Fall wedding, probably in Minnesota, maybe even on a basketball court. An indoor winter wedding in Texas had never once crossed her mind. She’d imagined vibrant fun bouquets made of pink lilies and purple hydrangeas, not the elegant red and white roses arrangements that were currently being placed along a far too heavily decorated aisle. Instead of vintage wines and carefully constructed fancy cocktails, she’d thought it would be nice to have spiked shirley temples and maybe even blue and white jello shots. She had expected to have a quiet ceremony followed by a vivacious gathering of everyone she loved. It had never even occurred to her that her wedding would become a public spectacle with People's magazine in attendance.  She’d pictured a party, not an event.
Most of all she’d dreamt of getting married to a girl with dark eyes that could see all of Paige’s flaws and a soft smile that promised she’d love Paige despite them all.
But the thing about dreams is that they’re fleeting trains that travel through the tracks of your mind when you’re asleep, and when you wake up, reality is nothing but a devastating train crash.
Paige sighs, forcing herself out of her own head, as she stares at her reflection in the mirror. She looks pretty. Brittany had found her a nice white wedding suit -fitted to perfection- matching it with dainty silver jewelry. Paige normally liked her outfits a little looser but Olivia loved it and Paige likes that Olivia loves it. Her hair is styled in a bun, with two straightened strands to highlight her face. She thinks she might have preferred to have them curled in the front but Olivia had sweetly insisted on them being straight because hers would be curly and they had to complement, not match. Paige doesn’t really understand the difference or the importance but she thinks if Olivia wants it like that then she's fine with it. She thinks the bold red lipstick heavily coating her mouth makes her look a little bit like a vampire out of a badly directed 90’s horror movie but Olivia had said it was necessary so that the lights and cameras didn’t wash her face out.
Paige looks pretty. She just doesn’t really look like Paige.
“What do you think Drewski?” she asks, twirling to face her stone-faced brother who’s sitting on the couch, with a bout of enthusiasm that rings hollow to her own ears, “do I look gorgeous or what?”
“You look weird,” Drews says stiffly and Paige sighs.
“Dr-” Paige is cut off by her younger brother sauntering over. A confused expression spreads over her features as Drew takes her hand and places it on his forehead, “uh- what are you doing?”
“Paigey, doesn't my forehead feel hot? I feel so sick,” the little boy whines, letting out a series of overzealous dramatized coughs.
“Your forehead feels fine,” Paige says, slowly removing her hand.
“Well of course you’d think that. You’re not a doctor who knows how to feel foreheads correctly. I think we need to go to the hospital to see a real doctor. Like right now,” Drew pulls at Paige’s hand as she begins to catch onto what he’s trying to make happen.
“You’re fine Drew.”
“I’m NOT. I’m very, very, very sick. So we have to leave right now. I could be contagious. I could be a danger to all these people,” Drew’s animated hands start to fly everywhere, “you can’t get married when your little brother’s sick. It’s- it’s just wrong. Bad juju or something like that. Everybody will understand that you just had to call off the wedding. For family reasons.”
“Drew-” Paige tries again, a hard pit settling in her stomach.
“Are you worried cause you didn’t bring your car? That’s okay I’m sure Ice or KK will drive us but you can’t get married today Paigey. You just can’t,” his bottom lip trembles as the façade of illness slips and Paige feels her own eyes start to get glossy, “it’s not right Paigey. This is all wrong. She’s all wrong.”
“It’s not like that Drew. You just haven’t gotten to know-”
“I don’t want to know her,” Drew yells, “you don’t even know her. How can you get married to someone you’ve barely dated for a year. How can you do this to Az-”
“That’s enough,” Paige’s voice is eerily calm, as she digs her fingernails into her palm, “watch how you talk to me-”
“You’re being stup-”
“Drew Thomas I am not going to repeat myself again. Behave yourself. You’re not nearly old enough to be questioning what I do with my life,” it takes every inch of self-control Paige has to not let her voice shake.
Her younger brother’s words feel like acid rain pelting against her already wounded skin. They slip into the gashes, mixing into her bloodstreams to create an army with the battalion of her own thoughts that have been hacking away at her heart for god knows how long. Paige wonders how long it’ll be before she finally bleeds out.
“Please don’t get married Paigey,” Drew pleads, gripping his sister’s hand, “please.”
There’s nothing but silence as Paige opens and closes her mouth. And she doesn’t know if she’s trying to get words out or breathe air in; all she knows is that Drew might be squeezing her hands, but it feels like someone is strangling her lungs.
She’s saved from having to say anything by a hesitant knock on the door. As Drew begrudgingly goes to open it, Paige scrambles to put herself back together. She closes her eyes, taking in three deep breaths before-
Drew gasps and Paige’s eyes fly open. With her back turned to the door, she can’t see who it is and something like hope starts to bloom in her chest, vines of maybe it’s her weaving through her ribcage. And as she turns around, they turn to dust; dust that floats up to her eyes and makes them tear up again as she stares dumbfoundedly at the two people standing somewhat awkwardly in her doorway.
Paige had grown up an independent child. It wasn’t that her parents were neglectful or that they hadn’t loved her enough because they had. But at first it was the constant fighting and then it was the nurturing of a brand new family with new children and Paige had slipped through the cracks of oh she’s so mature we don’t need to worry about her. She had always had her parents as cheerleaders in the stands; no one was prouder of Paige than they were. But no one had bothered to force her to drink terrible tasting immunity boosters. No had patiently dyed her hair purple and pinky promised to like it even if it turned out terrible. No one had yelled at her for being in the gym till one a.m or woken her up at an ungodly hour to run drills. Not until she’d met a girl at 15 and that girl’s parents had decided that Paige was just as much theirs as their own daughter.
And suddenly there were more people added to her cheering squad for her wins. But that’s not when Paige fell in love with Tim and Katie Fudd. It was when she lost and there was a nagging finger followed by a full breakdown of what she could do better next time and finally, a bear hug promising they’d help her do it. They’d been there every step and she’d sent the invitation, scared they wouldn’t show up, that they wouldn’t be there for this step, a step that inadvertently took her further away from them. But here they are anyway.
“Hi sweetheart,” Katie says softly, her own eyes moist as she takes in the sight of the bride, “you look- you look absolutely stunning Paige.”
“You came,” Paige whispers, “I didn’t- I didn’t know if you would.”
“Of course we came,” Tim exclaims but his normal boisterous voice doesn’t feel nearly as enthusiastic, “always told you we’d be front and center at your wedding.”
Because I was supposed to marry your daughter; I was supposed to become your daughter, officially.
“I’m really glad you guys came,” Paige says, letting Katie wrap her into a warm hug. She only gets a second to let herself enjoy it before Drew’s asking a question that makes her stiffen.
“Where’s Azzi?”
It’s like there’s lightning wrapped in that one syllable and it strikes right through Paige’s heart, setting every inch of it ablaze with the flames of a name that used to feel like cotton candy on her tongue; now it feels like lava.
“She couldn’t make it,” Tim says slowly and Paige knows she shouldn’t be surprised, let along disappointed that her ex wasn’t coming but there’s a string that snaps anyways.
“Why not?” Drew asks petulantly.
“The baby’s due next month,” Tim tells him gently, “she can’t fly.”
The air feels suffocating at the mention of the baby. She’d been scrolling mindlessly through her tiktok feed when the announcement had popped up. She still has it memorized.
Golden State Valkyries superstar shooting guard Azzi Fudd announces pregnancy on Instagram; she’ll miss the upcoming WNBA season.
For a moment the world had stopped as Paige had hurriedly switched apps to instagram. And there it was. A smiling picture of Azzi holding a sonogram. Paige doesn’t know how long she’d stared at the picture but she remembers that it was set against a white background and she remembers that Azzi was wearing a green top. And as she’d typed out a congrats! that blended in seamlessly with all the other felicitating comments on the post, Paige had wondered if Azzi had felt it too. She’d wondered if, when Azzi had left a similar congratulations <3 post on Paige’s engagement announcement, she’d felt something unravel too. She’d wondered if Azzi had felt this hollowness of and i guess this is us signing off on never getting forever with each other.
“So Azzi’s not going to stop this wedding?” Drew’s voice is dangerously even as he rounds on Paige, “and you’re really going through with this?”
“Drew please” Paige says tiredly as Katie runs a soothing hand down her back.
“You’re stupid. And she’s stupid. You’re all so freaking stupid,” Drew bursts out, stomping past the adults in the doorway, his anger palpable in every single word.
“I got it,” Tim says, wrapping a wrist around Paige’s hand as she moves to follow her younger brother. He squeezes gently, a half-hearted smile on his face, “it’s gonna be okay kid. It always is.”
Paige wishes she could just believe him, turn off the voices in her head and just be a kid who could take an adult’s word as gospel. But Paige is the adult now and believing no longer comes so naturally.
“Hey,” Katie says after Tim runs after Drew, pulling Paige to sit with her on the couch, “I have a little wedding gift for you.
“Katie you don’t have-” Paige begins, watching as the older woman pulls out a velvet box from her bag, placing her phone on the table next to her.
“Oh hush. I told you I’d give this to you,” Katie chides as she hands the velvet box. Paige’s eyes glisten as she opens it to find a familiar purple amethyst necklace. She’s flooded with the vivid image of her and Azzi on a random day in lockdown helping Katie organize her minimal jewelry. Paige had fallen in love with this necklace and Azzi had her eyes set on a pink topaz. It was fitting to say the least and Katie had promised them, with a glint in her eyes, that she’d give it to them as their something old on their wedding day. They’d been in between something and everything but Paige and Azzi had shared a shy smile over it anyways.
“I can’t accept this,” Paige shakes her head trying to hand the box back but Katie dodges it expertly.
“Yes you can. It’s basically a family heirloom and you, Paige Bueckers, are family,” Katie says firmly.
“Katie-”
The older woman presses a kiss to Paige’s forehead as she starts to head out, “you’re always gonna be family Paige. Always.”
Katie’s words act like a band-aid but they’re not enough- maybe nothing will be enough- to fully heal the wound of today i was supposed to officially become a Fudd.
A ringing noise interrupts Paige’s pity party and she starts half-heartedly digging around for her phone. She’s confused when she finds it because no one’s calling her and the room is still vibrating with noise. Crinkling her eyebrows, Paige’s eyes finally land on the couch side table, where Katie’s phone, clearly forgotten, is buzzing.
Azzi’s CallerID flashes on the screen.
Paige stares at the phone, rooted in place. She knows she shouldn’t pick it up, knows she should go return it. Still without a decision, Paige slowly starts to reach for it. And then it stops ringing and Paige goes still again, unsure if she’s relieved or disappointed. Swallowing, she takes another step. The phone rings again. A myriad of thoughts dance through Paige’s mind, opposing thoughts clashing with each other and making her head hurt. She lies to herself that it’s out of concern; that Azzi’s pregnant and this could be important. She lies to herself as she hits the green answer button that it’s not because she’s desperate to hear Azzi’s voice.
“Mom?” Azzi sounds distraught when she picks up but Paige thinks it’s still her favorite sound any way, “Mom? I think I did something wrong. I can’t do this Mom. You’ve been gone a day and I’ve already fucked up. I don’t know what and I don’t know when but I think I fucked up. Maybe I ate something I wasn’t supposed to. Maybe it’s because I lay on my back instead of my side but Mom she hasn’t kicked all day and I can’t get Dr. Myers on the phone and I-”
“It’s a girl?” Paige breathes out. And suddenly she’s 22, sitting in a UConn apartment living room, grinning foolishly as Jana points out an AI picture that looks like the perfect mixture of her and Azzi. Azzi, who’s having a daughter.
The woman in question is quiet and for a second Paige thinks that Azzi might hang up.
“It’s a girl Paige,” Azzi says finally.
“Are you- are you okay?” Paige asks slowly, trying not to dwell on how much she’s missed the way Azzi says her name. It’s been Bueckers every time they’ve seen each other this year and she’s never hated the sound of her last name more.
“Yeah, I just-” Azzi sighs, her voice still a little frazzled, “I’m just being paranoid cause my Mom’s not here and my doctor’s not answering and the stupid baby hasn’t kicked all day,” she pauses, “sorry. I-I don’t mean to dump on you. Not today at least.”
“Az-”
“Where’s my Mom?”
“She- she’s probably outside. Think she left her phone here by accident. I can go find her but can I-” Paige hesitates, chewing at her lips in a way she knows Olivia hates, “can I help?”
“I don’t think-”
Paige shocks herself with her next words, “put the phone to your stomach.”
“What? Paige, did you hit your head in the last two seconds or something?”
“Just- just trust me,” she’s not really sure what she’s saying but now that she’s said, might as well commit to the bit, “I’mma talk sense into her. I saw it in a movie.”
“You saw it in a-” Azzi sighs and Paige can practically picture her rolling her eyes.  “I don’t know who’s more insane. You for coming up with the idea or me because I’mma follow through it,” there’s a bunch of static noise on the other side as Azzi adjusts herself, putting the phone on speaker and pressing it to her belly, “alright Dr. Bueckers work your magic.”
Paige is nervous as she speaks, “hey there little bean. I’m your-” she stops because what is she, “I’m your Paige,” she decides softly, “and I think- I think you should stop stressing your Mama out. She’s a bit of an overthinker so if you could just help her out, I think she’d really appreciate it. Because if- if you don’t she isn’t gonna be able to sleep tonight and you don’t know this yet but when your Mama doesn’t get sleep, she’s kind of a bi-”
“Paige,” Azzi hisses.
“Big baby,” Paige corrects, “she’s a big baby. And then she cries and it’s not a pretty sight-”
“Hey!”
“Sshhh Azzi I’m working my magic,” Paige scolds, “where was I? Oh yeah. She cries and it’s not a pretty sight because,’ her voice softens, “seeing your Mama cry is the worst thing in the world. I hate it and I know- I know you’re gonna hate it too because when you finally come out little bean, the first thing you’re gonna see is your Mama’s smile. And you’re gonna think it’s the most beautiful thing in the world. Just like I do,” a sob escapes on the other end of the line and Paige feels tears start to cascade down her own cheeks, “come on little bean, give us a little kick. Make your Mama smile.”
Time ticks by slowly and Paige closes her eyes, thinking maybe her desperate attempt to keep Azzi on the line had failed miserably. And then Azzi gasps, “she kicked. Oh my god Paige she kicked.”
Paige’s grin stretches her whole face and for a second it almost feels like she’s right there with Azzi, that instead of her ear being pressed to a phone, it’s pressed to Azzi’s belly. For a second she almost feels like she can feel the baby kicking. And then she opens her eyes.
“Did it make you smile?”
“Yeah, yeah it did,” Azzi admits and Paige can hear the relief in her voice.
“I’m glad- I’m glad you have something that makes you smile.”
“Do you?” Azzi sucks in a sharp breath, “do you have someone that makes you smile?”
“Yeah, yeah I do,” and it’s not a complete lie. Olivia does make Paige smile. And maybe it’s not quite as big or bright or real but at least Olivia’s here to try.
“Good. I-I’m also really glad you have that.”
“You are?”
“Of course I am Paige,” Azzi says quietly, “I want you to smile. I just- I just want you to be happy. Are you happy Paige?”
“I’m getting married today,” Paige says in lieu of an answer and she can hear Azzi’s breath hitch.
“That doesn’t answer my question.”
“It’s not that simple.”
“It is. It’s a yes or no question,” Azzi presses.
“Then you answer it Azzi,” Paige bites out, “are you happy?”
“I”m-,” the younger girl lets out a sigh, “I’m content.”
Her answer makes Paige’s skin itch with irritation and she can’t stop it from seeping into her next question, “so you have no regrets then?”
“I didn’t say that,” there’s a warning edge to Azzi’s voice.
“Do you or do you not regret saying no to marrying me Azzi?” Paige asks, unable to hold it in any longer.
“Paige-”
“What? You gonna say it’s not that simple? It’s a yes or no question Azzi,” Paige mocks.
“That’s not it-”
“Then what is?”
“You’re getting married Paige,” Azzi yells, “you’re getting married,” she repeats again, softer this time, “to someone else. And so it doesn’t matter how I feel. It isn’t fair of you to ask and it wouldn’t- it wouldn’t be fair of me to answer. Not today. Maybe one day- one day it'll be the right time but not today.”
“And what if it’s never the right time?”
“Then maybe it’s a question you were never meant to know the answer to.”
There’s something final in the quietness that follows, like they’re having a moment of silence at a funeral for what never even got to be.
It’s Azzi who speaks first.
“You’re gonna be a wonderful wife P.”
“You’re gonna be an amazing mom Az.”
They let it left unsaid that they were supposed to be wives to each other, that they were supposed to be moms together.
***
March 2033
Paige doesn’t know how long she stands outside, staring down the winding road that had taken Stephie and Azzi away from her. The neighborhood is slowly waking up and if the woman across the street opens her curtains and thinks it’s a little strange that her new neighbor is standing like a statue on her front porch, she only raises a slight eyebrow before going back to her day. It takes almost twenty minutes before her head finally convinces her heart that no matter how much she stands outside, they’re not coming back.
There’s a part of her that can admit that maybe Azzi had a point and maybe she shouldn’t have asked her to stay over last night. But Paige has never been known for her common sense, especially not when it comes to Azzi. Because truth be told, asking Azzi to stay the night was perhaps the least ridiculous of the thoughts that had invaded her mind last night. It was easy- too easy- to fall right back into whatever with Azzi. She’d done a good job pretending that the nightly facetime calls had been for Stephie’s benefit but the truth is that they had become just as much a necessity for Paige. She’d fallen asleep with a smile on her face every night and the temptation to have that in person last night had been too hard to resist. And so she hadn’t.
She makes it about three steps up the stairs, when the fort still set up in the living room catches her eye. And that’s when the first tear falls, and then the second and then the third until she thinks if she tried to swim in them, she’d probably drown. Paige abandons the idea of going up to her room and crawls back into the tent made of blankets. And she must be going insane because she swears she can still smell the faint scent of a toddler and Azzi’s lavender perfume on the pillow she cradles to her chest. It’s ridiculous to be so attached already. She knows that. Stephie isn’t hers but it feels like the little girl has crept underneath her skin, burrowing herself in a part of Paige’s heart that the blond didn’t even know was there. And Azzi- well no matter how long it’s been, no matter how much resentment Paige has held, the truth is that there’s a little patch of Paige’s soul  that will always belong to the younger woman.
Paige barely registers herself falling asleep until there’s abrupt knocking on her door and she realizes she’s been cocooned in the fort for almost three hours. She hesitantly lets go of the pillow, groggily walking towards the door. It’s useless to pretend that she isn’t hoping it’s Azzi and Stephie on the other side, isn’t hoping that Azzi had realized her mistake, isn’t hoping to scoop both of them into her arms and fill the hollowness that’s been thrumming against her ribcage. God Paige has barely survived a month -a day if she’s completely honest- she doesn’t know how she’s going to survive this whole season.
She crosses her fingers behind her back as she opens the door.
“Hey,” Katie’s smiling face looks back at her, holding up a tray of coffee and a bag of something, “figured you haven’t eaten breakfast yet?”
Paige blinks stupidly as Katie lets herself in, moving through Paige’s house with ease and immediately locating the kitchen. She hands Paige a cup of coffee before ransacking through the bag and pulling out a glazed donut, “eat. I know you haven’t.”
“Does Azzi know you’re here?” Paige asks slowly before taking a bite out of her donut.
Katie gives her pointed look, “who do you think gave me your address?”
“Is she- is she okay?”
“You two are something you know,” Katie shakes her head, “you’re asking me if she’s okay and she sent me over here to make sure that you were okay.”
Paige feels her heart swell with after all this time, “she sent you?”
“I have breakfast with Azzi and Stephie every Sunday morning. Now imagine my surprise when I get there today and my oh so sweet and wonderful granddaughter isn’t talking to her mother. And so I forced the story out of Azzi and I barely understood a word she was saying through her tears-”
“She was crying?” Paige feels her lungs constrict.
Katie shoots her an unimpressed look, “can I finish the story?”
“I don’t like this story. It has Azzi crying.”
“Yeah well the two of you seem to enjoy doing that to each other,” Katie cocks an unamused eyebrow and Paige flinches at the truth of it, “anyways I didn’t understand much of it but she was clear by the end. Seemed to think you needed someone, needed me and so here I am Paige.”
“Why is your daughter like this?” Paige demands, “how is she gonna make me cry and then send somebody else to wipe my tears.”
“Well I can leave-”
“Why couldn’t she just have stayed?” the blonde questions, “why does she always have to overthink things and make it more complicated? Why can’t she just listen to her heart once in her fucking life? Why can’t she just let herself live? Why is it always no with her and never just yes?”
Katie gives Paige a sad smile, reaching for her hand, “that’s why.”
“Please don’t speak in riddles. It’s 10 a.m and I’m sad,” Paige whines. She might be in her early thirties but there’s something about Katie Fudd that makes Paige feel like it’s okay to be a bit of a child.
“Why is it always no with her and never yes?” Katie repeats, “c’mon Paige you know that’s not about last night.”
“It is,” Paige argues stubbornly.
“It’s not,” Katie says, gently squeezing Paige’s hand, “it’s about her saying no 8 years ago.”
“I’m ov-” Paige stops, withering under Katie’s glare, “okay maybe it’s a little bit about her saying no 8 years ago. But I’m allowed to still be upset about it. She broke my heart. I wanted forever and she walked away. I’m allowed to be mad about that.”
“Of course you’re allowed to be mad Paige but that’s exactly why Azzi had to go this morning. And it’s exactly why you shouldn’t have asked her to stay last night. You guys can’t just pretend none of it happened because it did. You’re still hurt Paige and ignoring that is gonna get you guys nowhere. Especially with Stephie involved.”
“So what are you saying? You’re saying me and Azzi should just be teammates? You’re saying I should just never see Stephie again,” even the thought of it makes Paige feel like she is laying down on a bed of thorns.
“You’re so goddamn dramatic Bueckers,” Katie rolls her eyes, “I’m not saying any of that. I’m saying maybe you just need to take it slower, with both of them, instead of having a goddamn sleepover the literal first night you’re in the same city. Besides,” Katie gives her a knowing smirk, “my granddaughter is obsessed with her Miss Buecks. Pretty sure she’d find a way to see you again no matter what.”
“Good,” Paige lets out her first smile of the day, “because I’d find a way to see her again too. She just- she’s kinda great isn’t she? Azzi did a good job with that one. She’s- she’s perfect,” she looks at Katie who’s regarding Paige with a thoughtful expression, “what? Do I have donut glaze on my face?”
“No, no it just- I’ve seen that expression before.”
“What expression?”
“The one you just had on your face while talking about Stephie,” Katie laughs to herself, “it’s the same one Tim had when he first met Azzi.”
***
“Oh my god. It’s Paige Bueckers. Can I have your autograph?” Steph Curry winks at Paige as she walks into his office. The Golden State legend had started an after-school basketball camp for kids in the Bay Area and as soon as he’d heard the news of Paige coming over to the Valkyries, he’d messaged her if she’d be interested in helping him out in the off-season. Paige had been more than willing to be a part of it, always invested in giving back to her community. If she’d been excited by the idea before though, today, after the worst sleep of her night as she tossed and turned to the hopeless depression of not having spoken to Stephie and Azzi for far too long, Paige really needed this distraction.
“Don’t think you can afford my autograph,” Paige smirks lazily as she basically droops into the seat opposite him.
Steph laughs goodnaturedly, “welcome to the Bay Area kid.”
“I’m a little old to be called a kid don’t you think? I’m nearly 25,” Paige grins, wiggling her eyebrows..
Steph shakes his head, “nah you’re always gonna be a kid to me. You and Azzi both,” he chuckles to himself, “even though Azzi’s got her own kid now. Have you met her?”
Well that distraction lasted 30 seconds, Paige thinks to herself as she forces a smile onto her face, “yeah. I’ve seen her around.”
“She’s cute as hell right? And she knows it. Little miss bossy pants has everyone wrapped around her fingers. Kinda reminds me of Riley,” there’s a goofy expression as Steph thinks of his daughter and Paige wonders if the same one is reflected on her face as she thinks about Stephie, “and she’s a natural at basketball. Only five and her shot’s already pretty good. You’ll see it today when she comes to camp. And she’s pretty good at defense-”
“I’m sorry what?” Paige blinks rapidly.
“I know. What defense can a 5 year old play but it’s just the way she moves you know?” Steph tries to explain and Paige shakes her head.
“Not that. Stephie- Stephie’s coming to camp?”
Steph grins large and proud, “of course she is. She was the first camper I signed.”
“Right,” Paige nods, giving the man in front of her a tight smile, “can you- can you excuse me for one second.”
As soon as Paige is outside of Steph’s earshot, she’s calling Katie; Katie who had sat at her kitchen counter yesterday and listened with a smile as Paige told her all about Steph’s camp. Katie who hadn’t said one word about Stephie being a part of said camp. Katie who was maybe grinning just a little too hard at the idea.
“Did you know Stephie goes to Curry Camp?” Paige asks as soon as the line connects.
“Hi Katie. Hi Paige. How was your day? Oh mine was good Paige, thanks for asking, how was yours?” Katie replies sarcastically.
“Katie,” Paige groans.
“Did I know that my granddaughter goes to her godfather’s special camp for the sport that her mother plays and she’s obsessed with?” Katie says slowly and Paige can tell she’s holding back a laugh, “nope, didn’t have a clue.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“And ruin the surprise?”
“What happened to telling me to take things slow?” Paige hisses.
“Well if I left the two of you two to your own devices y’all wouldn’t go slow, you wouldn’t even move at all,” Katie defends.
“So you’re meddling?”
“I am not,” Katie protests, “you were always gonna help with the camp and Stephie’s already been going to the camp. I just didn’t let you stress out about it. Really you should be thanking me.”
“Thank you Katie,” Paige bites out mockingly.
“You’re so very welcome Paige,” Katie sing-songs, “by the way, come over for dinner soon okay sweetheart. Love you honey. See you later darling.”
She hangs up before Paige can say anything and the blonde saunters back into Steph’s office, trying to corral her facial expression into something more neutral.
“All good?” Steph asks.
“Just peachy,” Paige hums in response, “we gonna head over to the court soon? It’s almost 4.”
Steph nods, “yeah they’ll be done setting up for us. Azzi usually brings Stephie to say hi to me right before cause no favoritism in front of the other kids you know? But maybe she’s running la- oh no wait there they are!”
Paige freezes, heartbeat erratic, as Steph walks to the door in anticipation.
“UNCLE TWIN,” Stephie screams and something in Paige’s heart starts to fix itself at the sound of the younger girl’s voice. She’s scared to turn around, unsure if she’s more scared to realize it’s a dream or find out that it’s reality.
“TWIN NIECE,” Steph yells back with equal vigor and Paige can hear Azzi’s laugh now too, each giggle acting like a needle, stitching up the parts of Paige that had felt broken since yesterday morning. She turns around deliberately slowly. Stephie is cradled in Steph’s arms and Azzi’s watching them with a fond smile. And it’s ridiculous to be jealous of a happily married man who’s practically Azzi’s brother if not her uncle, but the sense of that should be me, weighs heavily on Paige’s lungs anyways.
It’s Azzi who sees her first, smile slowly fading as dark brown eyes clash with light blue ones.
“Paige,” she whispers softly and there’s a multitude of undecipherable emotions wrapped in that one syllable and Paige thinks she could spend forever just trying to uncover them.
Stephie’s ear perks up at the mention of Paige’s name as her own little eyes finally land on the blonde, shuffling her feet nervously in the corner. Her bottom lip trembles, eyes watering as she forces herself down from Steph’s lap, racing to Paige. It’s instinct the way Paige falls to her knees, ready to catch the bundle of limps that practically falls into her waiting arms.
“Miss Buecks,” Stephie whimpers, “I missed you so much.”
Paige’s own eyes water as she buries her face in Stephie’s hair, “me too sweetheart. I missed you so, so, so much.”
In front of them, Steph looks beyond confused as to what's happening and Azzi’s determinedly looking away, even if there’s a lone tear waterfalling down her left cheek.
“I couldn’t sleep last night,” Stephie confesses, voice choked up as she tightens her grip on Paige’s neck, “and I begged and I begged Mama to let me call you but she said you were busy. And then I yelled at Mama and it made Mama cry too and I hate making Mama cry.”
“I know. I know sweetheart,” Paige soothes softly, running her hands down Stephie’s back as the little girl continues to babble. They stay like that for a long time and Paige thinks if she could ask the world for one thing that doesn’t belong to her, she’d ask for Stephie.
Finally Steph coughs, looking apprehensively between the three girls in the room, “so um- I take it you’ve more than just seen Stephie around then Paige?”
Paige lets out a watery laugh, finally letting Stephie go and turning around but still keeping a hand on Stephie’s shoulder, “yeah I guess that’s true.”
“What are you doing here Miss Buecks,” Stephie asks, looking up at Paige.
“I’m uh- well Mr. Steph-”
“Uncle Twin,” Stephie corrects immediately and Paige can’t help but grin at the nickname.
“Right. Uncle Twin asked me to be a coach at his camp and I agreed,” Paige explains, trying to catch Azzi’s eyes but the shooting guard seems determined to focus on a picture of Steph and Ayesha on the wall instead.
“You’re gonna be my coach,” Stephie squeals, turning around to hug Paige’s knees, “this is the best news of my life.”
Paige feels her heart soar into a sky of you’re the best new of my life Stephie as she bends down to kiss Stephie forehead, “let’s see if you say that when I make you run laps after you miss a shot.”
“You wouldn’t?” Stephie says, looking horrified at the idea.
“I totally would,” Paige teases.
Stephie is quiet for a second before a proud smirk blooms on her lips, “that’s okay ‘cause I don’t miss. I’m Azzi Fudd’s daughter. Right Mama?”
“Right baby,” Azzi says, finally letting herself meet Paige’s gaze.
“Well Miss-I-Don’t-Miss, how about you walk over to the court and show us how you don’t miss,” Steph teases.
Stephie waddles out of Paige’s grip and holds her arms up at Steph, a saccharine smile on her face,“I can’t be tired if I don’t wanna miss Uncle Twin, so can you please carry me over there?”
Steph rolls his eyes but it doesn’t stop him from hoisting Stephie onto his shoulders, “alright your highness, let’s go.”
Stephie’s giggles echoe down the hall as Steph runs towards the courts and Paige can’t help the fond laugh that escapes her.
“She gets that from you, you know,” Paige says softly to Azzi.
“Gets what?”
“Being a princess who gets everything she wants.”
“Not everything,” Azzi says wistfully, “not everything I want.”
She moves to start following but Paige wraps a hand around her wrist, “I didn’t know Stephie was a part of Curry Camp. I swear I- I didn’t do this on purpose.”
Azzi sighs, “I know. I know you wouldn’t Paige.”
“And I- I wanted to thank you for sending your Mom yesterday. I really- I really did need it even if I didn’t know it,” Paige’s thumb subconsciously rubs against Azzi’s skin, “but you- you always seem to know what I need.”
Azzi rips her hand out from Paige's grip, “you’re doing it again.”
“I’m not-”
“Yes you are. You keep saying things like that- things you shouldn’t say- things I can’t just listen to and be okay,” Azzi brushes her hand against her face, “I know the way I left yesterday was wrong and maybe I was projecting,” she admits in a whisper, “but you just- you make me feel too fucking much. And it's too quick and it’s scares me.”
“Scares you?” Paige scoffs, “I’m not the one who broke your heart Azzi.”
“You don’t think I know that? You don’t think I’ve lived with that guilt for the last 8 years? Jesus fucking christ Paige. I’m not scared of you. I’m scared of me,” tears stream down Azzi’s face as she paces the room, “I have never heard Stephie cry so fucking much in my life Paige. And you know who did that to her? Me, I did that. Apparently I’m really fucking good at making people cry but I don’t want to. I don’t want to break her heart, I don’t want to break your heart and I don’t want to break my own heart. Not again.”
“Azzi-”
“And so I’m stopping it before it happens. Before I ruin it again.”
Azzi tries to leave again but Paige is faster, wrapping her arms around the younger woman’s waist and pulling her flush against her chest so she can’t escape. It’s a terrible idea because now all of her senses are consumed by Azzi as they both become acutely aware of how close they are now.
“Paige,” Azzi whispers weakly, one hand pressed right against Paige’s heart, “let me go.”
“I think today’s the right time,” Paige says softly, hands grazing Azzi’s waist, “I asked you a question once and you said one day, when the time was right, you’d give me an answer. It’s the right time.”
“I don’t think so-”
“Azzi please,” Paige begs, “do you regret saying no?”
“Paige let me go,” Azzi wriggles against her grip but it only makes Paige tighten her hold.
“It’s a simple yes or no question.’
“Stephie’s probably wondering where we are-”
“Then answer the damn question and we can go to her-”
“Paige please.”
“Answer the fucking question Azzi.”
“What do you want me to say?” Azzi bursts out finally, “you want me to say that I’ve never regretted anything more in my life? You want me to say the minute I said no, I wanted to rip out my tongue? You want me to say that I almost called you several times in the last decade to tell you how stupid I was? You want me to say that I flew to Dallas once to tell you that I fucked up but then I saw you with Olivia and decided you deserved better than me-”
“What?”  Paige feels the air being snatched from her lungs.
“The answer to your stupid fucking question,” Azzi’s voice breaks, “is yes. Yes I regret saying no to you Paige. But it doesn’t matter. Because I said no and you found someone else who’d say yes and now it’s too late.”
And Paige thinks that Katie was probably right, that she should probably take things slow. But when it comes to Azzi Fudd, Paige Bueckers has never been one to do what she should.
“It’s never too late for us,” Paige whispers before crashing her lips against the woman, who’s always been the reason for her biggest, brightest, most real smile.

We Were Such Fools by kiddle / @bluejeanlouis (98k)
Rule #1: The Rewind Machine cannot be used to change the past, only to experience it. History will reset itself to the original timeline every 24 hours.
On his fiftieth birthday, two things are consuming Harry’s mind: what he’s going to make the kids for dinner tonight, and the fact that his marriage is crumbling at his feet.
So, when his best friend gifts him the trip of a lifetime, Harry chooses to venture off to the summer that set his life on its course—all the way back in 1987, California.
It only took him one summer to fall in love with his husband the first time around. How hard could starting all over really be?
Once Bitten and Twice Shy Series by pinkcords / @pinkcords (60k)
once bitten and twice shy (19k) This time as his stomach rolls, there’s no doubt about it. He’s going to vomit. And if he does, it’ll be on Louis’ shoes, a nice little parting gift to go with the embarrassment he’s caused the both of them. “I’m gonna throw up,” he says just as Louis turns to look at him, blue eyes swimming with shock and confusion, and asks, “Is that true?” Or, in a rush of bravery only senior year can bring, Harry confesses his feelings in a letter to his neighbor and best friend, Louis, only for the entire school to hear it and laugh him out of their small town in Wisconsin. Ten years later, Harry's a successful lawyer at Columbia Records, coming home for Christmas for the first time since he departed for college. He plans to work his way through the trip, eat his mom's cooking, and avoid everyone from his past for as long as possible. The only problem is best laid plans hardly ever go as intended. These Stars Will Guide Us Home (41k) And then he’s gonre. Harry watches him take off his shoes, sort his belongings into bins, and keeps watching until he vanishes entirely, around the corner to his gate. Louis doesn’t look back and Harry can’t blame him, certain his expression, body language, entire being would implore him to stay. It would just make it more difficult on both of them. Louis’ always been intuitive like that, strong enough to make the hard decisions that protect both of them. Or Harry lives in New York and Louis lives in Wisconsin.

“What the fuck is he doing here?“ He asked still looking at him, before he turned back to look at Niall for an answer.
Niall’s mouth fell open and he looked at him with wide eyes "He um changed his mind?“
Harry stared at Niall for a few seconds in silence, before grabbing a bag and walking towards a bedroom without looking at anyone else, slamming the door shut behind himself.
Liam flinched in front of Louis.
“Well I’m happy to see you too.“ Louis mumbled, some of the tension leaving his body. This wasn’t exactly how he thought their first meeting would go. It was quiet for a moment before Louis finally spoke up “Did you seriously not tell him I was coming?“

But then he thinks of the soft curves and sharp angles he had imagined when he first drew up the sketches for the collection, the specific green of fabric he had picked with the thought of how they’d saturate green eyes, the glossy silks and soft velvets he had once pictured sitting delicately against milky skin.
“We’re drunk,” Louis decides on a sigh. “We shouldn’t make any drastic decisions now.”

We'll Be Alright by ShatteredGlassHouse / @larryislove (36k)
"Lou, I know this-"
"Not plan? Of course, this wasn't planned. Harry, this can't be happening. We can't have a kid. We are not even supposed to be sleeping together."
Harry flinched at Louis' words. He was right, but Louis didn't need to be blunt about it.
"I'm not ready to have kids. I said that when we started this… Relationship," Louis stuttered the last word, trying to find the proper wording.
"Do you think I am? I'm not even twenty-four. You are almost twenty-nine! You're at the age where most people start a family."
"Doesn't mean I want to have one!" Louis snapped.
"Well, it's happening," Harry said, trying to keep his voice calm.
"Be serious, Harry. We can't have a baby. If people find out, you'll be fired."
Harry subconsciously wrapped his arms around his middle. He suddenly felt small. He didn't expect Louis to be excited. This wasn't the best news for their situation, but he thought he'd be happy.
"I know, Louis."
Or Louis is the Captian of Liverpool FC and Harry is one of the team's physiotherapists. They have a secret relationship going but things become complicated when Harry finds out he's pregnant.

Cabin on the Bluff Series by juliusschmidt / @juliusschmidt (6k)
Beech Tree in Autumn (1k) Louis walks forward. Harry walks back. And back. And back. Off the two track, through the brush, until his heel bangs against the trunk of a tree. Louis presses further still. Without so much as a, 'hello,' he's kissing Harry, hard and hungry. Mosquito Bites and Cheap Beer (2k) Harry’s careful not to look at Louis as he plays. At least, he starts out that way. But then the sky behind Louis begins to shift, clouds morphing from piles of gold-tinged wool to scoops of pink and orange sherbet. And at some point, Harry forgets-- forgets not to watch. And when he catches himself, it’s fine. Louis’ watching him right back. Sandwiches on the Shady Shore (2k) “You don’t have to do this,” Louis says. It’s hot in the little kitchen, even with the windows open and a breeze blowing in. Harry feels a flush enfold him from the inside out. “I know,” he says. And then, because he’s already showed up embarrassingly early in the day and made Louis a cheese sandwich, he adds, “I wanted to.”
Trust Me to Take You Home by hattalove / @hattalove (4k)
“I made breakfast,” says Harry, and Louis can feel him smile where his face is smushed against Louis’s shoulder blade. “Full English. All for you.” Louis finally opens his eyes, and blinks. “What about the others?” “Asleep,” Harry whispers, “it’s five in the morning.”

Tumblr media
All your life you tried so hard to act nice like a lady, but you met Billy and he taught you that it was good to be crazy.
You sat on a chair in the Loomis’ kitchen, watching Billy methodically take off his black robe and mask after returning from killing Maureen Prescott. He moved to the sink and cleaned his knife, the sound of water running filled the room as the clear water turned red from the blood.
Your heart raced as you realized just how crazy Billy Loomis truly was. He murdered someone tonight. He snuck into the Prescotts’ home and stabben Maureen multiple times with a knife.
Once it was rid of all traces of blood, Billy set it on the kitchen table.
A dark smirk formed on his lips. ‘’She screamed like a pig in the slaughterhouse,’’ he said, his voice devoid of remorse. ‘’Bled like one too.’’
Although you didn’t participate in the murder, you were Billy’s accomplice — and alibi. When you arrived at his house, you made sure his neighbors saw you so you could be his alibi in case the police suspected him. There were very slim chances for that to happen though. Billy had been extra careful to leave no traces behind. Not even a single hair.
‘’That’s what the bitch gets for ruining my family and robbing me of a father,’’ Billy muttered bitterly, his eyes filled with a chilling mix of anger and satisfaction.
You stayed silent while he finished cleaning up.
You didn’t understand why Billy wanted to kill Maureen so bad. He wanted revenge, but wouldn't revealing her hidden romance with her secret boyfriend be a more fitting way of revenge? It would have ruined her family the same way she had ruined Billy’s.
The sound of sirens in the distance snapped you out of your thoughts, and you raised your eyes at Billy. ‘’Did anyone see you on your way back?’’ you asked, suddenly nervous.
Billy shook his head, setting down the — now clean — knife on the table. ‘’I went through the alley and came to the backyard through the bushes,’’ he explained, taking your hands in his and making you stand up as his eyes met yours. ‘’They’re not gonna get to me.’’ Sensing your worry, Billy wrapped his arms around you, pulling you against him. ‘’I promise.’’
You nodded against his flannel shirt, taking his words. Everything’s gonna be alright.
The sound of the sirens faded away as they neared Sidney’s house, making you breathe of relief. One of your hands reached behind Billy’s neck to pull him down for a kiss, igniting a fire in both of you. A kiss was rarely just a kiss with him.
Your lower back hit the edge of the table, Billy’s tongue swiping into your mouth while he undid the buttons of your shirt, eager to get you naked and pressed against him, but you grabbed his knife and broke contact. Billy gave you a confused look. A mischievous smile drew on your lips and you stepped back.
‘’Careful with that.’’
Ignoring his warning, you dragged the knife between your breasts, the dull side of the blade brushing against the delicate lace of your bra very slowly. ‘’Knives don’t scare me,’’ you said.
Before you, Billy was biting at his bottom lip, his dark eyes fixated on the knife in your hand. He felt himself grow stiff in his jeans, turned on by the sight of his girl playing with his knife. The same knife he used to kill someone half an hour ago.
You felt him take it from you and he angled the blade up towards your face. The pointed tip got flipped around now. He gracefully pressed it against your bottom lip, careful not to hurt you.
Billy looked down at you. ‘’Are you sure? Because I could slice your throat with one easy swipe,‘’ he whispered into your ear and you felt your knees go weak. ‘’Or I could tear your clothes off with one easy swipe.’’
Your breath caught in your throat and your stomach burned. Do it.
Slowly, Billy pulled the knife from your lip and gently slid it down your neck and sternum until he reached the gore of your bra. He cut the fabric with one swift movement, letting your breast naturally fall from the bra. He circled one nipple, then the other. The cool metal made them harden and left you even more turned on.
‘’I didn’t take you for a freak,’’ Billy pointed out with a soft laugh as he watched you react under his knife.
You looked down at the blade over your nipple, then back at your boyfriend. ‘’Don’t tell me you’re not enjoying this too.’’ Without taking your eyes off his, you cupped Billy’s cock over his jeans, making him groan.  In the next ten seconds, both your pants had joined the floor. It was a mess of rush and shuffling on one leg to get the other out, but once they were off, Billy’s hand found your aching — and so wet — pussy and slipped two fingers in with ease, eliciting a relieved moan as you clung to his shoulder.

hey, rc, do you mind just posting this?
hi! for those who didnt see my retweet, my name's ruin/ruina. malenjoyer (the real one here) and i have been friends since 2019 thereabouts.
to jayce and people who continue to support him: there is no conspiracy or alt account. there is no "this is actually someone else posting and lying." i can pin point to several drawings of his that have come out of conversations or jokes with me; i can give you timeline stuff. i can give you all the damn proof you need to know jayce is lying. there have been instances of sharing batman media, like the rogues podcast, that came because of me and being gushy about scarecrow.
but i gotta piece to say and me saying it on my blog won't really make it to your ears so.
my friend rc is an amazing person. he really is.
he tries so hard to be a good person and he is. he is kind hearted and listens to people. he gives his friends everything he can and receives just as much love. he's an amazing friend; hes funny and intelligent as all get out. he is fun to be around and has the most insightful advice you can ask of anyone. he's passionate about his interests. he throws himself wholly into the things he loves and it is so beautiful to see. he truly genuinely is one of the most real people you will ever meet. and i am truly, truly blessed to have his friendship in my life.
and it makes me mad, jayce, that you have seen him as someone to use. that you have the audacity to take my friend's identity and pretend to be him. you cannot begin to comprehend the amazing kind of person rc actually is. just because an online figure has a very private life does not mean you have right to pretend to be him.
it's devastating to watch him hurt and try to figure out how to navigate being stalked and used; it infuriates me. and i gotta know: for what purpose? for clout?
hey, jayce and co, quick question:
Tumblr media
who drew this? what characters are they?
no points for guessing! this is an unpublished malenjoyer commission/wip for me! *my* oc and her dad. that he made for me months ago.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
in case youre curious! ^ theres what she looked like before i asked for revisions. while we were on call! i have no shame in posting my discord user but for HIS privacy, i will block his out. but know, its not you jayce.
because try as you might to convince people you're my friend, there is so much more proof that you're not him. rc wouldn't do this kinda shit.
do you know what integrity is, jayce? you should look it up and get some.
rc has a private life and to use his private life as a way to gain your own following/friends/whatever is awful. its cruel. its traumatising. its awful. you're a piece of shit. you're an absolute piece of shit and rc might be too nice to say fuck you but im not.
fuck you. leave him alone.

Ultimate Incest Tournament - Round 4
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda under the cut:
Gerard/Mikey:
Vocalist and bassist respectively of my chemical romance. they are insanely codependent (describing themselves as the same person just different heights etc). gerard has also licked mikeys nipple onstage. good times
Gerard is decidedly super abnormal about mikey. he has written many songs about him that are always adjacent to straight up love songs. he has also been explicitly sexual with him (giving him a pantomime handjob, caressing his chest, saying he looks like a hooker etc etc) while also constantly babying him. theyre codependent and they finish each others sentences and theyre in ickydisgusting brotherlove❤️❤️❤️❤️
Grew up together as the outsiders in their New Jersey town and spent their teenhoods together in a musty basement. Mikey learned to walk by running after Gerard and face-planting. Gerard drew comics for Mikey and told him stories. They went to a Smashing Pumpkins concert together and decided that being in a band is what they wanted out of life. Mikey learned the bass because Gerard was in bands and he wanted to join. Gerard called up Mikey after witnessing 9/11 and told him they're gonna start a band. Everything they do is together, they love each other. And isn't it so much fun to turn that incest?
Mikey Way wrote a comic where the main character, who looks like him from the black parade era, gets a woman pregnant. Which isn't incestuous on its own, but she looks like the female version of Gerard Way from the black parade era. Love is love or something
Dave/Rose:
Daverose blondetwin sweep because they were codependent without ever meeting from growing up seeing each other in their dreams
What does it mean to be an abused teenage boy growing up alone and seeing a girl in your dreams every night who is also your best friend. and when you finally meet her you go on a suicide mission together even though nobody was asking you to die with her. and then you are the only two human beings left in the recognizable universe on a cold meteor surrounded by aliens but you’re glad it’s with her. and when you finally touch the girl from your childhood dreams she looks exactly like you. because she’s your sister
I don't have words for how good these snarky assholes are together. DaveRose is brain chemistry changing. They both put up so many fronts, and engage in so much snarky wordplay, and are constantly trying to get under each other's facade. They play off each other so well, witty and sharp, I need them to be together always
We all die & we all die alone are the two cold truths of the universe but dave and rose broke both simultaneously by ascending to godhood together
Their twincest wins because it is just so confusingly tragic? profound? dave leaving rose behind in a doomed world, dave following her to the bomb. they are both so closed & cut off & curt its hard to imagine the depth of these things. but that is their love language: giving up their lives for each other over and over, in a confusing and fumbling and heartfelt love song. i can’t say i love you but i know we’ll die together anyway. because we’re made of the exact same stuff. i’ll find you again at the last moment. that’s love.
THEY DIED TOGETHER, YOUR HONOR
Confirmed canon by the author, (something happened) between them. Parallels of dying by each other's sides in EVERY timeline. They are THE womb-to-tomb. There is nothing platonic about winking at your brother while talking about crushes, that shit is incestuous. Seer/Knight archetype. They will die protecting each other.
do you realize love someone if you don’t follow them on a suicide mission into the gaping maw of a literal fucking sun after they knock you out and psychoanalyze you in your dreams? the blueprint of the “ethereal androgynous blonde boygirl twins” trope. witch/knight dynamics. they find each other to die together in every timeline no matter what (but they’re still emotionally constipated teenagers who bicker and make fun of each other in pesterchum). kids with grown-up powers. perfect little freaks of nature. what if we looked exactly like each other’s eyes

if you ever want to talk about your thoughts on joyce .. Peeks over the corner of your blog. i love talking and hearing ppls thoughts on joyce sooo much even if they're different from my own!! and your analysis and stuff is always so well thought out
i hope u dont mind if i answer this publicly to take advantage of th request nd get my ideas out ther (also tyvm im happy u like my insane takes on these idiots, iv ben thinking abt them for almost 10 years)
i said a lot here so gnna 'read more' it
iv ben building trans charlie n my head fr, like i said, nearly 10 years. i used to view him as cis bcuz i always try to take as much frm th source material as i can wen i craft my HCs nd i had v personal (stupid) hangups insofar as him explicitly referring to his junk multiple times nd bottom surgery simply not being on my radar as a naive littl trans idiot deep in th sauce tht transmen oftn fall into w phallo being viewed so so poorly
evn still i leaned towards transmasc charlie nd always lovd moments tht let me imagine, for a moment, it being true, like his discomfort w taking off his shirt [hundred dollar baby, charlie kelly: king of the rats, the gang exploits the mortgage crisis, young charlie and mac deleted scenes, etc etc etc], or bonnie yelling abt ppl stealing her "charlie-girl" [the waitress is getting married] which i lovd to see as her accidentally misgendering him while drunk off her ass.
having grown out of my phallo issues (nd if ur reading this and u still view phallo super poorly, please do some research and grow too), ive in recent years fully subscribed to transmasc/nb charlie, and view his timeline something like this:
baby -> elementary: charlie refers to himself as a boy, doesnt "come out," simply has no idea he's afab. bonnie lets him dress however he wants and refers to him as asked. when charlie gets confused about his genitals, bonnie says his dick will grow in later lol, makes charlie wear a dress in public restrooms and tells him its just a game
middle: puberty hits and charlie gets confused and scared. bonnie puts him on blockers w.o explaining them ("my mom used to vaccinate me like every month" [the gang gets quarantined]) charlie goes on content and oblivious. STP acquired because hes "a late bloomer" and his dicks still not growing in?? weird. confides this in mac once, but he doesn't understand.
high: charlie finally registers that he's trans after forgetting theres a health class 1 day and not being able to skip it. throws him for a loop a bit but he becomes actively invested in his goals. he gets to start T and wants to have surgeries. "what guy hasnt done some extensive research on his own genitalia?" [mac is a serial killer]
college (aged): able to surgically transition (ty medicare) and continues on with life as we kno him now
joyce, imo, fits neatly into these views.
as a transmasc nb who came out young nd prefers to be seen as just A Guy by strangers, i grew up v vehemently against anything girly that might get me misgendered, but th more i began to 'pass,' th more @ home n my body i felt, th more and more comfortable i am w femininity, th more i wdnt mind putting on a dress, as long as th general public wd see me as "a man in women's clothes." n my mind, i prescribe something not exactly th same but v similar to charlie.
i see charlie "i dont really identify" kelly as afab and nb. i see joyce as a "character" he originally created to distance himself from the dysphoria of putting on a dress as a young trans boy, but that became part of him as the hard lines he drew in the sand as a child became blurry with age and self acceptance. charlie's comfort with himself allows joyce to evolve into a more solid persona, one he enjoys embodying and allowing to become a permanent facet of who he is. he's ok with being referred to as either. they're both him.
so maybe joyce comes out a bit more outside of the bathroom now.

Headcanons to Miguel O'Hara x Spider-Woman Reader:
WARNINGS: Fluff, a few dirty jokes (if you're not 18+, please don't read this post), a few mentions of death, etc.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Before everyone reads this, I just want to say that the timeline begins way before ATSV. Like, it starts around the same time as the Miguel O'Hara we see in the SATSV credit scene. Also yes, the dirty jokes might have been a little unnecessary but I couldn't help myself, it was literally right there! And I wanted to make this longer but I'll just continue it with a part II instead. :)
MASTERLIST: Feel free to check out my other works! :)
Tumblr media
On the day you had met Miguel O'Hara, you felt relieved and lucky to have another superhero alongside you. Not just because you are the clumsiest spider woman to probably ever live and needed some help before you get into an accident from slipping becuse of a banana or a bag or had fallen down multiple times during a fight for no reason at all. Seriously, it's not your fault. You either have bad luck or just have really bad balance but either way, meeting Miguel O'Hara for the first time had assured you that you weren't the only one going through everything you have endured as a superhero.
You were a loner practically because of your secret life. You were aware of the dangers that could happen to you and to those you tell your secrets to, so you decided to keep your mouth shut on it until Miguel came along.
Miguel was a little awkward but quite nice to you during your first meeting after he had helped you defeat a Doctor Octavius who was not from your dimension. Miguel explained to you about the multiverse and how people like the Doctor Octavius who came to your dimension are called anomalies and his plans to create a team of spider people to keep the universe in balance. You were a little reluctant to join at first because let's face it, you already have a lot of trouble keeping your own dimension's villain in place and you didn't want to burden Miguel either, but eventually, you agreed.
Miguel said so himself that he had only recently found a way to go to other dimensions but it's a little tricky and because of it, the team was still small and consisted only of a few members, including Miguel, you, another spider woman named Jessica Drew who's a total badass and a Peter Benjamin Parker who looks quire similar to your old college friend, Peter Parker but that's a story for another time.
In almost all of your missions, you were paired up with Miguel. You've went on a few missions with Peter and Jess too, but you worked mostly with Miguel and actually got bonded well with him. At first you two got along over your love for empanadas and although you were under the impression that Miguel might be a humourless, stoic guy, you were met with the complete opposite. Sure, he can be serious at times but he was also funny and casual and loves to joke with you in his own sarcastic way.
Miguel trained you as well. Whenever you made a mistake during training or during the missions, he would help teach you a move or two to help improve your skill and you've always appreciated that, especially when you noticed how he was using his free time to train you, outside of working hours, even when the sun was already setting.
Since the two of you are practically partners-in-crime at work or sometimes jokingly called work wife and work husband by Peter and Jess, you would be around each other most of the time. While Miguel would be busy finishing an invention in his lab, a watch that's supposed to bring you to any dimension you want and stops the person wearing them from glitching, you were busy watching for any anomalies that might pop up in the dimensions. Miguel insisted for you to do it near him, so that way he could glance at the screens every once in a while too when he stops momentarily for a break.
You were the one to always remind him to eat, either bringing him some homemade empanadas, which became his personal favourite ever since he took the first bite but he'll never admit it to you , for lunch or lasagna for dinner. It became a habit at that point and you end up bringing two homemade dishes instead of one to work. The first time you gave him some of your homemade food, Miguel was insistent to pay you back somehow, though it was hard for him to resist any of the food you give him. Either out of hunger or just because his tongue loves the way all the food you bring tastes. And technically, it's not the only thing his tongue loves to taste if you swing in the right direction and put enough courage to it. ;)
However, when you were secretly watching Miguel— yes, you're quite nosy — as he took over to check for any anomalies on the screens, you couldn't help but notice that he would always look to a particular dimension. You weren't sure which dimension it is, but you knew that the Miguel O'Hara in that dimension has a daughter named Gabriella. You caught him looking over to that dimension a couple more times but dismissed it to be nothing and decided to mind your own business on it.
You only began to become suspicious when Miguel didn't come to his missions or even come to Spider Society. Miguel had managed to recruit a lot more spider variants but it was very unlike him to not be present in the team. Out of everyone, Miguel was the one who insisted for Jess, Peter and you to work just as hard when the team was still little. And the times Miguel did come for missions or to make an invention, he would always be in a hurry, as if he had some other businese to attend to.
Miguel could also be a bit unfocus at times. One time, you noticed him staring at a file about a mission report and tried to ask him an absurd question. "Miguel?" "Hm?" "Is it alright if I redecorate the whole office and cover it with hot pink glitter and rainbows?" "Sure, as long as you think it's benefical for the mission."
You were of course a little very hurt by his frequent absence but you didn't want to immediately confront him about it. You knew how hard it was for Miguel to manage a whole team, especially one that's growing rapidly by the day, so you tried to be understanding and stayed quiet about it.
That was until one day, you had enough. Your patience could only go so far and that thin line broke when Miguel had suddenly left during an important mission. The mission was a success and you managed to take down the anomaly, but after the fight, you were left with a severely broken arm. When Miguel received news about your state, he quickly went over to the infirmary where you were being treated at. You were silent the whole time he was apologizing to you for abruptly leaving and began tending to your arm instead of the spider healer that had been assigned to you.
Miguel had stuck around, bringing in snacks and drinks to comfort you during your time in the infirmary until the sun went down. He used the excuse that he needed to do check the multiverse for any activities of an anomaly. However, you knew that wasn't the case and right after he left the infirmary, you soon followed after him, making sure to be careful and silent with your steps.
When Miguel had arrived to his office, you noticed him using his newest invention, the watch that allows anyone to go to another dimension, and witnessed firsthand as he disappeared into a portal. You managed to slip into the portal but since you weren't thinking things through, you had completely forgotten that the portals were often opened from the sky, and with that broken arm of yours, it's no wonder you might get more injuries from the fall. Thankfully though, your instincts kicked in and it was around night time as well, so you managed to stick your webs to the building before you hit the ground and without anyone noticing you.
After landing on the ground, you were eventually able to follow Miguel again but turned confused when you saw him going into a house that you were unfamiliar with. You had been to Miguel's universe before and knew what his home looked like in Nueva York, but you were not in Miguel's universe and the house he had went to looked less extravagant than the penthouse he had let you stayed in for the night, which you promised to yourself to never discuss it with anyone.
You observed from a far distance to ensure that Miguel wouldn't catch you and watched as he climbed into the window on the second floor of the house and you began to get doubtful of your suspicions, wonderinv if perhaps he was just on a secret mission you didn't know about. Miguel tends to be secretive at times.
An old lady soon stepped out of the house, seemingly a neighbour, but what shocked you was that when the house door opened for the old lady to go out, you saw a glimpse of Miguel with Gabriella.
You froze in your spot for some time, completely dumbstruck by the revelation. When you finally snapped out of your trance, you noticed Miguel and Gabriella watching a soccer match on the television, actively cheering for their favourite team with popcorn and sodas. You were amused slightly at the sight but not so much with the idea of what exactly was happening at that moment because as far as you know, Miguel never had a daughter to begin with in his own dimension.
So, to be sure, you went back to headquarters and checked the backgrounde of both Gabriella's and Miguel's universes. With Lyla's help, you found out that Gabriella's father, the Miguel O'Hara in her universe, had been killed several weeks ago— the exact same time your well, not your your Miguel became more absent in the Spider Society. It was a canon event and nothing could be done to prevent it or else it could have caused chaos. You became suspicious and after checking his watch's history, you discovered ghat Miguel had went to Gabriella's dimension during the important mission and he had also went there multiple times during his frequent absence at work.
You confronted Miguel about it after you had gathered all of the evidence to prove what he had been up to the past several weeks. You didn't want to be harsh but you knew you needed to be upfront about it, knowing how Miguel is like. It wasn't much of a confrontation but you had asked him for his side of the story. You wanted to hear his reasons.
Miguel explained to you that he wanted to raise Gabriella for the time being until he can find a suitable guardian for her since Gabriella's father was raising her by himself without her mother nor grandparents. Miguel didn't want Gabriella to know that her father had been killed either since it would distress her, so he had secretly been living as the Miguel O'Hara in that universe. You understood his reasons, of course, but you warned him that if he doesn't find a guardian for Gabriella soon, there will be consequences for both him and Gabriella's universe.
Even after you had warned him, Miguel still kept on going to Gabriella's universe, but he was a little more present at work as well. You avoided Miguel as much as you could at work, finding it to be ironic that the man who was dedicated to protecting the multiverse was also about to disrupt another universe's canon. However, you couldn't blame him either. Gabriella is his own child in another universe and having to go through a parent's death is already hard enough as it is, especially at a young age. Miguel was trying to protect her from that pain as long as he could until he was able to find a suitable guardian for her, which is really hard since before her father's death, Gabriella lived alone with her father and had no other family. From the universe's data, her mother had left after she had given birth to Gabriella and Gabriella's grandparents from Miguel's side had already died while Gabriella's mother's family wanted nothing to do with them.
Although you understood his reasons for continuing, you still feared of the consequences that might come to Miguel and Gabriella, so after your missions, you would go to Gabriella's dimension and watched over her from a distance to check if there were any glitches or potential dangers around her, even when Miguel was not around her. Miguel noticed it eventually, but instead of scolding or confronting you about it, he introduced you to Gabriella and told her that you're "Papa's good friend from work".
Gabriella was shy and quiet when you first met her, but after meeting her a few more times, she slowly opened up and revealed her curious side to you. Gabriella is quite adorable and would sometimes aske you questions about her father and how close the two of you are. You didn't find it odd, especially since Gabriella's father probably didn't bring any of his friends back home to meet Gabriella, and answered all of Gabriella's questions with enthusiasm.
At first, you only wanted to meet Gabriella a couple times just so that you knew what she is like, but you weren't able to say no when Gabriella had asked if you could go to her soccer match on Thursday with big, wide eyes. Okay, you admit you have a soft spot for children but how can anyone blame you for saying yes when an adorable kid asks you to go to their soccer match looking all excited?
You ended up going to Gabriella's soccer match and Miguel was a little smug that you came, especially since you didn't really want to get too attached to Gabriella, but Miguel didn't comment anything about it and just bought you some snacks for the soccer match while you two cheer for Gabriella. She was so excited when she realized that you came and hugged you tightly after she had won the match, though Gabriella turned a little sad when you had to leave. In order to cheer her up, you made a pinky promise to Gabriella that she will see you soon enough.

How I changed the obey me timeline in my obey me dr (because the real one is a dumpster fire)
So this blog isn’t supposed to be about my DR or shifting but I want to yap about this and help people out who want a reference on how they could change it if they feel it’s too messy like I did! <3
OBVIOUSLY SPOILERS FOR OBEY ME!!
I’ve done a slightly more detailed version of events for the brothers in the celestial realm, during nightbringer and recently before MC, but I’ve also got brief bullet points in case you don’t want to read allat (understandable)
The celestial realm (not the place, the era for the brothers)
Lucifer was created about 6,500 years ago. We know he is over 5,000 for definite in canon as he says in about lesson 15 he can talk about either the past 5000 years or up to 5000 years ago. I chose 6,500 for no reason, I just felt like it
Lucifer is lonely. He has Michael, but that’s about it. Then Mammon came along about 5,700 years ago, a new angel curious about the realm and he basically just baby duck’ed lucifer. First thing he saw and just chose him. Lucifer just accepted it.
Levi was born about 5,500 years ago, 200 years after mammon, and just stared at Lucifer and mammon for a while until they had a run in with him and claimed (is that a weird way to describe it) him. He just went with it
Satan was created on much different circumstances. Yes, he was first ‘born’ during the celestial war, but he first festered and came to life inside of Lucifer after Lucifer had his first serious argument with Michael (or the Father) since then, he had been flickering in and out of consciousness, just stuck staring through lucifers eyes and feeling nothing but wrath being stuck spectating at random times uncontrollably. This was approximately 5,350 years ago.
Roughly 5,200 years ago, the most beautiful of lights combined and shone down onto one (very large, the celestial realm has odd flora) red rose, and from the light after it dimmed was Asmodeus. He immediately felt pure adoration for all those around him, smiling and praising Lucifer, Mammon, and Leviathan who took him under their wing.
5,000 years ago-ish, two twin angels were created simultaneously. Two wings opened to reveal two twins, albeit not similar in appearance besides from their eyes, who were immediately attached at the hip. This intrigued Lucifer, who began to grow fond of them, and this fondness slowly rubbed off onto his other three brothers. Obviously, those twins were Beelzebub and Belphegor.
Simeon was created a little under 5,000 years ago, but acted much more maturely and quickly gained more power than the brothers (minus lucifer, of course)
The stable and supportive mind of Simeon drew lucifer (and per usual, the rest of his brothers) towards him and they bonded as family (important to note: I don’t headcanon this or assume this is how it went in canon. Simeon being one of the the brothers in the celestial realm and being as close with them as they were eachother is just something I added in. This isn’t canon or implied by any means)
And as the final of the siblings, Lilith was born 4,800 years ago.
She was sweet to all those around her, taking the interest of the twins and then the rest of the brothers. With time, the 8 grew inseparable.
Prior to all of the siblings being created, diavolo is born. Probably a few centuries before lucifer. Diavolo nags and nags and nags for Barbatos to be his butler and he’s like okay FINE just shut uppPPPP or however he would word that. (Barb also grew attached to him quite quickly for his standards, probably because he knew his father was so neglectful, the bastard)
Belphie had been watching from the clouds in quiet places as humans went about their daily lives. New civilisations formed and were destroyed and he thrived in watching the humans live and die and ascend (or celestial realm forbid descend)
After so long watching them, he decided to sneak down. He was so awe-struck by what he saw (and thankful he didn’t get caught) he just had to bring his twin and little sister with him!!
While he was there, he ran into humans putting on some kind of performance for other humans using tools and animals (This is the circus he is referred to have visited. Though they weren’t called circuses at the time, surely things equivalent have always existed)
The show didn’t seem all that impressive to Beel, but Lilith and Belphie practically glowed at the sight of the shows humans would put on to entertain each other, so he was content to let it happen.
Lucifer was sent down by Father to talk to the demon prince, Diavolo.
About 3,000 years ago, Lilith ran into a man while hiding her true form. She fell madly in love with him and understood she had to hide her identity and lead a double life. While leading with double life, she met not only the love of her life but her best friend.
Eventually, (not significantly long after considering how shortly humans live) her lover got ill. Lilith was more absent and notably more upset, so the twins caught on, who concernedly confronted Lilith, which was heard by Lucifer, who was forced to tell Michael (because Michael knew something was up and harassed him for it), who decided that Father would be able to help Lilith.
Yeah father did NOT help Lilith💥💥
Father was deeply displeased with her and decided to cast her out of the heavens (which always results in an angel falling, Simeon)
The brothers were outraged and decided to fight for Lilith with wits but they ended up having to use those fists instead 💔
Simeon was the exception to this though, as Michael had gotten to Simeon before lucifer could and convinced him fighting would be a mistake. Simeon pleaded with lucifer not to do it, but he was ignored. Simeon still vouched for the brothers though, which resulted in him being demoted but the brothers never knew he did this (so that sucks for Simeon)
In the battle Lilith died, they fell, Beel got survivors guilt Belphie became human racist, yk how it goes
However, Lilith knew she was probably going to die. She was always the weakest of her siblings. So, she gave her blessing to her best friend the day before she died, some of her power and some of her love eternally flowing through the best friend’s veins. The loss of this power definitely became another reason she died the next day.
(This friend would be my ancestor. That was I have Liliths power, but NOT her blood because that’s a tiny bit weird for me to be trying to diddle my greatX30 uncles, but to each their own)
Satan is born from the smallest pair of lucifers wings ripping off and in a last moment of light, form into an angry toddler
I’d also say Solomon needs to be born at some point recently before the fall. Mans is OLD and needs to be alive long enough before nightbringer (which in still using as a reference point btw, and also nightbringer is one year after the fall) to make a pact with Barbatos and become well acquainted with him.
I’m not sure when thirteen was born sorry guys, but I like to hc she was young enough to be most comfortable in a child form when she first met Solomon and once Barb dumped him at the lake thingy, she started aging along side him (in my head canons and DR, reapers can change their age)
Their rivalry started as childish banter but then he cooked for her and it became a tad real I’m afraid…
But anyway I’m gonna say this was about 100-300 years before the fall just because. That feels right to me
Solomon does a lot of crazy shit right after Barb makes a pact with him. Example: restraining order from the sea?
Nightbringer/right after the fall
I scripted out most of nightbringer
It doesn’t make sense and doesn’t fit in with the rest of the timeline imo??
Anyway, back to explaining what happened after the fall
Michael finds lucifers ring basically right away because he can see the tainted celestial energy flowing through it, so he goes down for the last time for a while to retrieve it
Lucifer makes a deal to offer his allegiance or whatever he said with diavolo in order to bring Lilith back to life, but this is as a human (didn’t change this)
Belphie, who despite always being a sleepy head managed to stay awake and enjoy lounging in the sun, began to stay indoors all the time m. He could see the stars from the planetarium, that’s all he really cares about. (Vitamin D deficiency who?)
All the brothers also begin to embody their sins. It’s sad to watch them morph into sin incarnate but they’ll grow used to it (in like, 200 years, rip bozos)
Diavolo comes up with the concept of RAD but doesn’t begin planning it out yet. He introduces the idea to Barbatos and the brothers, who aren’t thrilled about school or whatever but dont see a reason to oppose it
Satan is angy guys:((
Satan ages inconsistently. There are moments he is a toddler and then is suddenly in his pre-teens, all just based on how stable he is (while resting, he usually looks to be about 6 but his age changes randomly when feeling stresses)
He begins to learn from those around him to be calm, but to indulge in sins, never getting the virtuous upbringing his brothers had.
About 100 years later and his aging is still inconsistent, but doesn’t spasm out anymore. He’s like renesmee or whatever her name is from twilight, he aged quite quickly for a born-demon once it was under control.
Michael becomes bitter in the loss of the brothers and shuts himself away for a few hundred years, only making appearances when needed. Once he stops being a recluse, it’s obvious he’s different. More unstable and obsessed with messing with people. But still him, still and angel
Raphael (whose birth I didn’t include because who has time for that, he just exists at some point before the fall) becomes more easily irritated and cold. This doesn’t last to such an extent permanently, but its impact still stands in present. He misses them.
And Simeon is distraught. He hides it, but his gloom is obvious to everyone. 1,500ish years before present day, Michael notices this and out of pity and sympathy, assigns a new unranked angel angel to be his student. To be his brother. (Guess who this is you guys!!)
Although he could never dream of replacing his brothers, having Luke around reminds him to be happy. A younger brother turned older with new responsibilities, but he’s happy to have company
Solomon makes a pact with Asmo in his (sol’s) hometown after they both get a bit tipsy.
Solomon has his war with the devildom (sorry chat I really don’t know why. Possibly having something to do with his new pact with Asmo) and during this diavolo calls upon the brothers to help fight against him. THIS is why they’re known as the 7 rulers of the underworld not some stupid ass kids quest to find Cerberus
During this war, Levi makes a bond with Lotan
Diavolo starts properly planning RAD
The brothers realise that it’s much more simple to just chill without their demonic features, so they find out how to have more ‘human’ forms and hang out in them for casual times
And given their status, this starts a trend in the devildom to be in human forms.
Big puppy shows up at their door for war one day. Guard dog acquired💪
Crows won’t leave mammon alONEEEE (he loves them really he just doesn’t know it yet)
Henry 1.0 is there for a minute too btw. Then he’s not
Pre-MC (Past 1,000 years)
Probs the shortest section
Diavolo officially establishes RAD with a curriculum that takes hundereds possibly thousands of years to complete
Luke meets the demon king at a ceremony (I don’t know anything about this other than it happened in canon, I don’t remember it being mentioned lol)
The demon king goes for a lil snooze and snork mimimi’s till this day. Guys just tired
While his daddy is honk shoo’ing the world away, diavolo is forced to take the throne temporarily
Diavolo had already basically taken charge the devildom while his father was AWAKE anyway since his father wanted to train him up (and zzzzzzz in peace) so he knew what to do he was just depressed he actually had to now and Barbatos was making sure of it
Levi gets Henry 2.0 (also a few henries in between. Shout out to Henry 1.7, the parrot who was smite-smited-smote-smoted-smitten- killed for calling lucifer a bitchass motherfucker. U we’re iconic king)
A human is born. This can’t mean anything important right guys. Right.
The exchange programme is put forward, Belphie threatens treason, lucifer is too gay loyal to defend his brother so he locks him in the attic as all siblings so
Briefer timeline
The brothers are all born (including Simeon, who is one of the brothers in my DR but didn’t fall)
Lilith falls in love yada yada, before the war she blesses her friend (my ancestor) and gives her her power
Solomon makes a pact with Barb and becomes a little 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂
The brothers (not Simeon) fall and Lilith dies rip queen
Satan is born but he’s a toddler who just changes age when he’s angy
Until he gets his emotions mostly under control and then he starts aging (he stops aging once he reaches a certain point m, about early 20s but the brothers ages are weird in my DR)
Simeon is so sad Michael buys him a dog (I’m kidding, I know I know that’s an oversaturated joke)
Solomon makes a pact with Asmo while tipsy and wages a war because he was feeling 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 again
During said war, the brothers become known as the 7 rulers of the underworld. Cerberus shows up randomly on a Tuesday, unrelated to them gaining their titles
Demon king snoozes so diavolo steps up (he basically already did that but now it’s official)
Diavolo wants RAD. Nobody wants to go to school but they say yes because they kinda have to
Diavolo gets RAD
Human is born. So many humans are born every day, so this won’t mean anything right, chat?
Belphie is racist to humans so he threatens treason when diavolo wants the exchange programme and he gets locked in the attic
That’s it😭 I feel like I’m missing stuff out so if you notice anything missing lmk and I’ll add it!! I’m gonna do more posts like these, hopefully this was alright😞😞

Oh my god drawing group photos fuxking SUCKS
So many LIMBS-
But KISMEEEEET
I've seen so many fun iterations of Kismet's relationship to each other. As found family, some being relatives, as just friends, but my favorite is them being one big ole polecule!
I love the idea that trolls are a naturally polyamorous species and will often form "packs" if you will with the ones they love. Kismet is one of the largest packs in Pop Village, and they will gush about their partners to anyone who will listen.
Kismet being a thing has always been weird timeline wise, so I like to think they got together right after the first movie began or even ended, and that's how Branch joined them. They heard him sing to Poppy and all unanimously agreed they NEEDED him for their band.
They actually offered for Branch to join not just their band, but their relationship at one point. They all thought he was cute and loved how despite how sarcastic and deadpanned he was, he was loving and caring towards his friends. But Branch politely declined, telling them he already eyes for someone else.
So they went from potential boyfriend's to the most obnoxious wingmen ever. Cuz if we can't date u then we're gonna make sure someone else does!!
I love the headcanon that Ablaze is actually a rock troll, so that's why I drew him with the extra pointy ears and lizard tail (tho as I'm typing this I realize I forgot his claws FUK)
Kismet is the cheeziest polycule you'll ever fucking see in your life. No sense of pda, they'll give each other smooches and nose nuzzles right there on stage for all the world to see.
Plz ignore how Hype and Boom dont look remotely glittery I'm still tryna figure out how to express that on paper lol

Dream sweet in sea major ft. ssc
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
explanation below ⬇️
Second stage children are the most interesting characters to develop, drawing them was so fun.
i had an graphic designer assignement, it was about creating art, our path to create. but i didnt really understand the meaning of the assignement tbh so i gave this, with a silly explanation of how i create at the end lol. the song is Dream Sweet in Sea Major, from Musical Miracle. very good band i recommend.
i tried to give a meaning to each illustrations but to be honest my mind is not that smart, youll have shitty explanations and i hope i make it short lol.
"It feels like flying, but maybe we are dying" this lyric remind me of the whole group in general. second stage children have a limited life time, they have to make the most before its too late, their fightning style is compared to "flying" and their causes of why they do is because they are "dying" (ssc genes may dιε quicker since they dont live long (?)). i picked garo for this one, he is the one who fights alot
"A cosmic confluence of pyramids hologrammed" tbh i dont understand the meaning of the lyric 😭 i know it has a deep meaning in the song itself, but still. cosmic confluence symbolize the different timelines, all the ones that made saru forgot, which is the chalk trait he is tracing. he wanna make fey's head clearer as possible so he (fey or saru) can complete his mission. "pyramids hologrammed" remind me of all the hologrammed moments in cs, with el dorado.
"She knows you heard her" "Staging music murder". this time ill talk about the illustration. there is a part of the circle, it illustrate a clock, i was supposed to put "8" behind, why ? cuz they die at 20. sadly if i added a number next to all these typographies it wont come out great. instead i drew their logo team as clock hand. pointing in front of them. meaning time is going to kill them at "8". which explain the music murder.
"In line before the show began" that is so conceptual all the things i explain but bear with me 😭. in line -> zanark got enough talent/skills -> changed team everytime = reason why he appears 3 times cuz everytime he was in line to play again (show = match) (i drew him with braids because it PISSED ME OFF HIS HAIRCUT i had enough)
"To be where I am". "where" is pixelited because he is always looking for his place, he always moved on to other places, either its for matchs or looking for skills. and he only "found" his place when he miximaxed with clara j + joined chrono storm.
"Children born of one emotion", very basic and understandable. SSC were motived by one reason, people denied them the whole time, they grew up with one strong emotion : anger. (and saru is the only one to command the whole thing too, tiny detail)
"Our devotion's deepest ocean" this is one hell of a lyric but sadly i couldnt come up with a very nice illustration or meaning. their motivation is so strong they wanted to conquer the entire world.
anyway, sorry for the disappearance haha, i didnt have anything to post yk, homeworks and stuff. my first year end this 25th may, it went so fast

You didn’t know what was said in the brief meeting that Elvis had with the Colonel the following morning, but a photo op was ordered for an announcement that would be in the papers.
“A photo op?”
“They want a good shot of us for the paper. A more formal introduction for the public.”
You frowned as you were pressured to choose your look for the photo.
“I don’t know. I can’t decide.”
“I like this one.” Elvis pointed out a lime dress with a pink pattern.
“It’s too loud, isn’t it?” You tilted your head as you examined the material.
“Suits the mood.”
“If you say so.”
He was forced out of the room so you could dress and go through hair and makeup. Soon you were preparing to head out for the photo.
“I knew you’d look perfect,” He said when he saw you. “The camera’s gonna love you, baby.”
“Are you sure it’s not too much?” You ask. “The makeup and the dress—it’s not like me.”
“It’s perfect,” He promised. “You’re my girl now so you hafta keep up your appearance.”
“Did I do a bad job at keeping it up before?”
“Oh, you did just fine.” He kissed your cheek and a camera flashed, signaling the arrival of the photographer.
“Let’s get the two of you outside,” He said instructed promptly. “Colonel wants this sent to the press by the end of the night.”
“Why?” You wondered.
“Come on, baby, let’s go outside,” Elvis said, putting his arm around you. “It’s just something he does. He knows how to…appeal to certain audiences.”
You stepped out onto the porch, stopping just before the first step and facing him. “And what audience are we appealing to now?”
“Those good, old, vanilla sons of bitches you always hear about,” He said, making you laugh. “They’re upset now, but they just need to see us kissin and huggin and lovin on each other. As a way to, y’know, convince them that I actually love you and that I’m not taking you in as a concubine.”
“Is that what people are saying?”
“People are saying a lot.”
The photographer gave the two of you instructions on what to do and you went around taking pictures for at least thirty minutes. You never thought taking a photo could take so long.
“Let’s have one with you sitting down and her standing next to you,” He said, gesturing for you to move onto the steps. “Put your hand on his shoulder.”
“How much longer, boss?” Elvis asked—you could tell he was getting restless.
“Just a few more.” He snapped the photos in a rush and finished up, true to his word. “Alrighty, I’m gonna get these to print and they should start circulating in no time.”
The photos were circulating that night. You had only seen a few pages of different newspapers, they all said relatively positive things.
“Where are the bad ones?” You asked.
“The what?” Elvis responded, appearing from the bathroom.
“The bad ones.”
“What’re you talkin about?
You crossed your arms. “Where are all the articles from the people that were standing out there crying their eyes out, ready to take my head off?”
His eyebrows drew together. “I don’t know, birdie. I brought those so you could see how the pictures came out, not so you could catch up on the latest hit pieces.”
“You can’t shield me from them, E, I have to see them,” You said. “It’ll just make things harder if I don’t.”
“Trust me, you’ll be better off not getting too caught up in the press,” He said, joining you in bed. “They chew you up and spit you out. I don’t want that to happen to you. Not my baby birdie.”
You pouted but moved on. “This one’s saying that the coat I was wearing when we got off the plane is sold out now. Do you think that’s true?”
“Enough of this,” He said, taking the pages from you and sweeping them to the ground.
“No~”
“You’ve had enough.”
The phone rang, cutting your rebuttal short. Elvis stood and snatched off the hook. You went to gather the papers from the ground—stacking them neatly on the bed.
“Who was it?” You asked when he hung up.
“I have a surprise for you downstairs,” He said.
“For me?” You chuckled. “What is it?”
“If I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise, would it? Come on. Liz is here to get you ready.”
“That poor woman,” You said with a frown. “I can do my own hair and makeup.”
“I know, but she knows how I like it.” He took your hands in his and brought them up to his lips.
You hummed thoughtfully and wrapped your arms around his neck. “Do you like the way she does it, baby?”
His eyes darkened and his lips turned up in a smirk. “Don’t you?”
“If you like it, I love it.” You smiled, standing up on your toes to kiss him. “Get out of here so I can change.”
“It’s not gonna be good you keep winding me up and not letting me sing,” He said, pulling your body against his. “I might not be able to keep showing so much restraint.”
“I’m not asking you to,” You said. “I’m yours, aren’t I?”
“You are.”
“Then do what you want with me.”
There’s a knock on the door, signaling Elizabeth Monroe’s arrival. Elvis had her hired as your full time stylist and makeup artist. Apparently he had instructed her on exactly how you should be styled.
“Nothing but the best for my girl,” He had said when he introduced the two of you.
She didn’t say much as she dressed you, she said even less as she applied your makeup. You figured she was just concentrating on her work.
“Do you like it?” She asked after all was said and done.
“Yes, thank you.” You examined your face in the mirror. “Do you think he’ll like it?”
She met your eyes in your reflection and nodded. “He will.”
You hesitated on your way downstairs—you still felt uneasy being around everyone. You were sure they talked about you when you weren’t around.
Elvis appeared at the bottom of the stairs. “There you are.”
Your anxiety was relieved at the sight of him. “What do you think?”
“You’re perfect,” He said just as someone came to the door. “It’s for you.”
He took you by the hand and went to open the door. Your eyes widened when you saw Andrea standing there.
“Oh my god,” You said with a stunned smile, looking up at Elvis. “Why?”
“I thought it’d cheer you up after the week you’ve had,” He said before addressing her. “Andrea.”
“Elvis,” She said shortly as you hugged her.
“It’s so good to see you again,” You said. “I’m glad you’re here.”
“Well, I was summoned.” She gestured to Elvis with a sarcastic smile.
“Thank you so much for leaving your post at the gates of heaven, angel,” He responded before stepping forward to kiss your cheek. “I’ll let you ladies do whatever it is that you do.”
“Thank you, E.”
“You’re welcome, birdie.”
You watched him leave before facing Andrea. She looked around the foyer with her arms crossed—her expression bleak.
“It’s quieter upstairs, come on.”
She nodded and followed you. You led her to the office upstairs and plopped down on the black, leather couch.
“Sit.” You laughed, patting the spot in front of you. “Tell me how you’ve been.”
“I’ve been fine.” She took a seat facing you. “I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw you in the paper.”
“Yeah, everything happened really fast,” You said. “What do you think?”
“About what?”
“Elvis and me.”
She looked off, quirking an eyebrow. “It’s…a lot.”
You chuckled. “Good or bad?”
“Shouldn’t you tell me?”
“Hmmm…good.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, it’s good.”
You smiled, she offered a small one in return.
“What happened to Joel from Hawaii?”
“Oh, well…we separated.”
She nodded. “Because you decided to be with Elvis?”
“Well, I mean~ It’s more complicated than that,” You said. “Elvis and I, we just…have history.”
“How far back?” Andrea asked.
“Since before I met you, I guess.” You thought for a moment. “Yeah, a while before I met you.”
“So, this mystery man was…”
“Elvis.”
She continued to look stunned but she laughed now. “For the love of god, you said he was married.”
You laughed along with her. “I had to throw you off somehow.”
“You are so full of surprises,” She said. “First you disappear without a trace, then you show up engaged, and now you’ve left that guy for his famous friend.”
“Oh, god, don’t say it like that,” You complained, laughing despite yourself. “I told you it was complicated. I tried with Joel, but…it wouldn’t have worked out.”
“Why?”
“Because I’m in love with Elvis.”
“Well…you’re causing riots in the streets.” You were grateful for the change in subject. “People are either tearing newspapers from store walls or breaking down the door to find your latest outfit. It’s pure chaos.”
“Really?”
“It’s like you’re famous.”
You smiled, shaking your head in denial. “I don’t know about that.”
Andrea sighed thoughtfully, falling silent for a moment. “You’re so…different now.”
“Good or bad?”
“…I can tell you’re in love.”
*
“A lot of people are convinced you don’t have a voice.”
“Are they really?”
You smiled down at Elvis—the telephone to your ear as you sat in his lap. At first you refused the interview. You didn’t want your voice broadcasted on the radio and you didn’t want your words plastered all over the paper. But Elvis talked you into it, promising to be by your side the entire time.
“You two are so different. You come from different backgrounds, he’s older~”
“Mhm~”
“You’re polar opposites really.”
“Yes.”
“What we all want to know is what you get up to. What do you talk about?”
“Oh, we get up to all kinds of stuff.”
Elvis quirked an eyebrow, gesturing to the slip of paper on the desk as a reminder for you to stick to the script.
“We do all the usual things.” You tilted your head to read the words from the page. “We have…very interesting conversations.”
“What’s interesting to a nineteen year old girl?”
“You should ask Elvis.”
He patted your thigh admonishingly—smirking despite himself.
“Anyway, I’m almost twenty.”
“What do you talk about, almost twenty?”
“You’re so funny.”
“Humor us here in radioland.”
“We talk about all kinds of things. He’s an intellectual.”
“He teaches you a lot, huh?”
“Sure.”
“There are some fans out there that refuse to believe the two of you are the real thing. What do you say to them?”
“I understand, honestly. I can’t believe it myself sometimes.”
You rolled your eyes at that one—cutting an eye at Elvis.
“There’s talk of marriage, any truth to that?”
“Not that we know of.”
“Folks are saying there’s gonna be some serious consequences if you aren’t married.”
“…Is that what they’re saying in radioland?”
“Does that scare you?”
“…Stick to the script, Quincy.”
The interview came to an end and you looked at Elvis with a serious expression. He laughed. “It wasn’t that bad, was it?”
“‘Serious consequences?’”
“Oh, birdie~”
“Don’t tell me not to worry.”
He tilted his head, smiling at you silently. You stood with a sigh and grabbed your cigarettes off the corner of the desk.
“Tell me what they’re saying,” You demanded. “Andrea tells me what they say in the paper, E, you can’t keep it from me.”
“They want us to get married.”
“So I’ve heard. Why?”
“Hell if I know. These people want something different every goddamn day. It’s just another thing.”
You struck a match and lit the end of your cigarette. “What are they saying is gonna happen if we don’t?”
He shrugged. “They’ll ban me across the country on the basis of morality, send us to jail, hang us from the ceiling, and whatever else they can come up with. Shit, maybe they’ll send us to the fucking moon. I have no idea what they say in those meetings.”
You took a drag from your cigarette. “How can they force people to do things like this?”
“I don’t know, but we’re sorting everything out as best we can.”
“You keep saying that.”
“And you keep wasting your time worrying.” He rounded the desk, leaning against the front of it as he spoke. “What’s the worst that can happen? We end up having to get married?”
“Yes, Elvis, that’s the worst that can happen,” You said. “That means they have all the control.”
“No one has all the control. It’s a bunch of people sitting around talking, that’s all it is.”
“The last time a bunch of people sat around talking about you you got shipped to Germany.”
“Goddamnit, birdie, will you let it go?”
You turned to leave the office, too annoyed to say anything else, but he caught your arm and made you face him.
“I’m not gonna let anything hurt you or take you away,” He said. “Not when I just got you back.”
You met his eyes without speaking—your jaw set.
“I’ll handle it. Alright?”
“…Alright.”
You weren’t sure what decisions were made or who had put everything together, but, soon, you were getting married.
You had woken up on the eve of your wedding day—unbeknownst to you—to Liz laying out different designs for hair, makeup, and your dress. When you asked where Elvis had gone you were told that he and the rest of the guys were already in Nevada.
“We have these.” Liz showed you the dresses in a hurry. “We can get the dress of your choice fitted and altered overnight. That way it’ll be ready tomorrow morning.”
“What is happening?” You asked, bewildered. “I need to talk to Elvis, right now.”
“There’s no time. You’re leaving as soon as Andrea gets here.”
As if on cue, Andrea came bustling through the door—luggage in tow. “There’s the bride-to-be~”
“Andrea, do you have any idea what’s going on?” You asked. “Who’s orchestrating all of this?”
“I don’t know.” She looked concerned now. “Jerry called me last night and told me that Parker wanted everybody here by eight this morning.”
“Liz, who told you to be here?”
“Parker.”
You looked around the room and stopped one of the people packing your bags. You asked them the same question, although you were already sure of the answer.
“The Colonel.”
You groaned, this couldn’t be happening. The entire place was in chaos around you.
“I’m sorry, but you have to choose now,” Liz said apologetically.
Andrea tried to aid you in making a decision. You could’ve cried at the thought of choosing your wedding dress fifteen minutes after waking up on what you had assumed would be a normal day. You had minutes to contemplate your decision as Liz dressed you in the clothes you would be traveling in.
“I like the V-cut. Don’t you?” Andrea asked
“I don’t know,” You said. “What do you think he’d want, Liz?”
“For christ sake, it’s your wedding too,” Andrea said. “Which one do you want?”
“Leaving for the airport!”
Liz encouraged you to go with your first choice. “It’s the best option.”
You didn’t have time to think as you were ushered from the house. You arrived in Nevada that night after a miserable flight. At the hotel, you were rushed from the car and into the back entrance of the building.
“Where are we going?” You must’ve asked a thousand times already. You were relieved when you saw Jerry meeting you at the end of the hall. “Where is he?”
“He’s been on the phone for hours trying to sort things out with Parker,” Jerry said as he led the way. “He’s tryna to see if he can’t get this whole thing done away with.”
Jerry led you to a conference room that had a long chestnut table at the center with padded office chairs. You immediately spotted Elvis pacing on the telephone. He handed the phone off when he saw you.
“Come over here, birdie.” He guided you to the corner of the room—ducking his head as he spoke. “Are you okay? Is Andrea with you?”
“What is happening?” You asked, matching his low voice. You didn’t recognize anyone in the room apart from Elvis and Jerry. The men sitting around the end of the table all wore suits and had expressions that appeared permanently stern. They didn’t take their eyes off of you the entire time.
“Are we ready to sign the papers?”
“Nah, we’re still figuring some things.”
You shook your head in disbelief. “Is this real?”
Elvis rubbed his face. “I’ve been talking to that son of a bitch for hours. He sent me here to talk to these people but they’re not budging. He keeps saying his hands are tied and there’s nothing he can do.”
“Do you believe that?”
“I have no reason not to. He’s been trying to get the public on our side.”
“This isn’t about the public.”
“It’s not?”
“Is Parker trying as hard as he could be?”
Elvis shrugged, looking off for a moment. “I don’t think they’re gonna let us leave here without signing those papers.”
He was right—they didn’t. Elvis Presley was given until midnight on that day to declare you his wife or risk a countrywide ban on the basis of morality. To which, as a direct consequence, he would be ordered to answer to all statewide warrants made for his arrest. That was only his end of the bargain, there was no telling what they’d do to you.
Your marriage was official by 11:56 that night.
The party following would be strictly for photos—a tight hour of partying for the camera and then off to bed.
“The bride needs her beauty sleep.”
You didn’t get a chance to see Elvis again until you were preparing to walk down the aisle. There had been no rehearsal, you had no idea how it was going to go.
The ceremony happened fast, like everything else. They instructed the two of you on every move you made and had you pause for photos along the way. You said your vows—the generic ones the minister told you to repeat—kissed, and you were escorted directly from the altar into a press conference.
“You just sit there and look pretty, mama,” Elvis said. “I’ll do all the talking.”
You were relieved. You were too overwhelmed by the crowd to speak. You sat by his side without tearing your gaze away from him for more than a minute. You were so deeply and devastatingly in love with him—yet you felt no emotion towards your union. You were married before your eyes and you had no time to react.
“What can we expect from the happy couple moving forward?”
“Keep an eye out for us, you’ll see.”
You were whisked away directly for your “honeymoon.” In reality, you spent hours on a plane by yourself back to Memphis—Elvis was going to be away filming in Los Angeles and you were on your way back home.
You hadn’t had a moment alone with Elvis since the night before the wedding and most of that time was spent calling around trying to get it canceled. You didn’t want to leave without speaking to him, but you didn’t get the chance.
“I need to talk to you,” You tried to tell him as he walked you to your flight. There were people on either side of each of you—obstructing the paparazzi’s view.
“Go up with Ray,” He said, gesturing to the stairway of the plane. “I’ll see you back at the house.”
“Elvis,” You said, still trying to get through to him.
“It’s okay, birdie.” He kissed your forehead before you were being ushered up the steps.
“No.”
“I love you, okay?”
You caught a final glimpse of his back as he was rushed to his car. You were on your way back to the house you had left in a frenzy two days prior. You should’ve felt different. Or maybe you were expecting too much.
Andrea was already at Graceland when you arrived. She greeted you as you walked through the door.
“Mrs. Presley,” She said, hugging you. “Welcome to your honeymoon.”
“Wow.” You looked around the foyer. “It’s everything I ever wanted.”
There was a party happening downstairs but you weren’t sure it had anything to do with you. There was always a party downstairs. A constant conjugation of people.
“You aren’t going to spend every day lying by the phone are you?”
“No, Andrea. I told you, I’m just tired.”
She slumped onto the end of the bed. “You aren’t pregnant, are you?”
You were bewildered by the question. “No, why would you ask?”
“It’s been a week since you’ve gotten out of bed.”
“It has not.”
“It has.”
“It’s Tuesday.”
“It’s Friday.”
Time passed like that whenever he was away. You had thought you escaped that feeling forever but you were being reminded of it all over again. The days didn’t matter without him, they were too long and too demanding.
“Serena and Liz are here,” Andrea continued. She stripped the duvet from your legs and stood to turn the lights on. “There are people here to take your picture.”
You complained and shielded your eyes. “The same people from the other day?”
“The same people,” She confirmed. “They’ve been coming every day. They want you sitting somewhere downstairs.”
“Sitting?”
“That’s what they said.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know. Maybe because it’s a special day.”
“Is it?”
Andrea revealed a tiny black box with a red bow wrapped around it. It only dawned on you then that you had forgotten your own birthday throughout all the hustle and bustle of the last few days. “Consider it a birthday/late wedding gift.”
“You shouldn’t have gotten me anything,” You said, taking the gift. “I completely forgot about it.”
“I didn’t,” She said. “You’re my best friend.”
You were instructed to sit outside with Andrea as you were served sweet tea and lemonade.
“Where’s Nancy?”
“Maybe she didn’t want to be on film.”
They wanted footage of you around Graceland doing everyday things. They wanted insight into what your everyday life was like here—married to the king. Expect, he wasn’t here, and you were being forced to smile in his absence.
“Just pretend they aren’t there,” Andrea said in a grumble. She wasn’t too keen on being photographed but she set herself aside to avoid you looking like a lunatic having lemonade alone.
“What do they want from me?”
“Maybe we should start dancing.”
You laughed.
After the photographers left, you retreated back into the bedroom to continue to wait by the phone. Andrea griped about going out—to which you reminded her that you’d be attacked or worse if you dared to venture out.
“There has to be some way to get out and get a decent drink,” She argued. “Serena can’t call anyone?”
“I don’t want to worry her.”
“What’s his name that follows you around everywhere?”
“Ray.”
“Tell Ray to get a car and call the bar to tell them you’re coming.”
You shook your head. “I’m not supposed to go out without Elvis.”
She scoffed. “He’s probably out having the time of his life.”
“I doubt it. We can drink downstairs.”
“What is this, a five star resort?”
You smiled wearily. You didn’t want to go out anyway. The phone rang, startling you delightfully. You glanced at Andrea, who understood immediately.
“I’m going.” She stood to leave. “Tell him I said hi.”
“I’m really going to.” You laughed as she left, bringing the phone to your ear. “Hello?”
“Hey, it’s me.”
“…Joel?” Your eyes widened in shock.
“Hey,” He chuckled in a tone so casual it made you ill.
“Hi.” You sounded reserved as a result of your shock.
“I-I figured I’d get you here,” He said. “I’m sorry to call out of nowhere like this I just…I saw the news.”
You deflated, eyes closed. With everything else happening you hadn’t even taken a moment to consider how Joel would feel. You felt immensely guilty that he had heard the news of everything from the media and not directly from you.
“God, Joel, I’m so sorry.” You suppressed the urge to cry. “I should‘ve called~”
“It’s fine.”
“It…it all happened so fast.”
He hesitated for a moment. “Yeah, it did.”
“I’m not just saying that, I swear,” You said. “I didn’t even know it was happening. None of us did…”
“That’s kind of what the guys were saying.”
“Do you still talk with them?”
“Yeah, we’re like family, so…”
You nodded. The circles you were tracing into your knee began to blur with tears as you spoke. “How’s New York?”
He hummed indifferently. “It’s quiet in some places.”
“Well, yeah.”
“Who knew?”
You laughed, trying not to alert him to the fact that you were crying. “Are you happy?”
“I’m figuring it out.”
“That’s good.”
“Are you?”
“Hm?”
“Are you happy?”
“I am.”
For some reason, you felt like you were telling a lie. You were happy. There had been moments in the past few weeks that you felt you couldn’t possibly be happier. But there was a part of you that clung to whatever heartache you had left. Perhaps you wanted to punish yourself with it or use it as a reminder that you weren’t completely heartless.
Joel was silent on the other line but you hadn’t noticed until he spoke again. “I’m glad. Congratulations.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologize. That’s not why I called.”
“Why did you call?”
He seemed to hesitate before saying—
“I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”
“Oh…well, thank you.”
“I wanted to say also…” He started. “A-And I don’t want you to think I’m tryin to talk you out of your decision or anything, it's just…it’s a lot happening all at once. It’d be a lot for anyone. So…don’t feel obligated to be something you aren’t because you love a person.”
“…Thank you for saying that.”
“…Anyway, I better let you off of here,” He said, laughing shortly. “I’ll see you in the paper I guess.”
“Yeah.” You cleared your throat. “Don’t have too much fun in New York.”
“I’ll try my best. Take care.”
“You too.”
“O-Oh and, uh, happy birthday.”
You closed your eyes, smiling softly. “Thank you, Joel.”
“Bye now,” He chuckled.
“Bye,” You said, waiting to hear the line go dead before hanging up.
You sat there for a moment, standing abruptly in search of the scrap of paper you used to write down the number of where Elvis was staying. Whoever answered gave you the run around for a while before actually putting you through.
“Who are you again?”
“His wife.”
He answered with an overly delicate tone—one that told you that his failure to touch base hadn’t gone unnoticed even by himself.
“Hey, everything alright?”
“Where are you?”
“I’m~ What do you mean where am I, honey? I’m working.”
You sat down on the edge of the bed. “It’s been a week since I’ve seen or heard from you.”
“Has it?”
“It has.”
“It’s Tuesday already?”
“It’s Friday.”
He tried to dismiss the argument. “You know how time slips away.”
You hummed, agitated. “Yeah, it does that when I don’t hear from you for weeks too.”
“Birdie,” He chided. “Are you checkin up on me?”
“No.” He laughed on the other line. “It’s not funny. When were you gonna call? Next month? Never? I mean, it’s my birthday today. Did you know that?”
“Did I know that?” He asked. “Of course I knew that.”
“You’re lying.”
“I’m not just kicked back havin a goddamn party, honey, I have shit to do while I’m here~”
“I’m not debating that, E, I just thought you’d call.”
“I was going to.”
“Were you?”
“I’m so glad to hear your voice. It’s like music to my ears.”
“Elvis~”
“I’m sorry you couldn’t stay up here with us, I don’t think it was really a part of the plan before the wedding and everything.”
“It’s fine~”
“Next time I’m gonna bring you with me, show you what Hollywood is like. What do you think?”
“That’d be nice.”
He promised that he would make it happen. You didn’t care if you were together in Memphis or LA, you only wanted to be near him.
“How d’you like Serena and Ray?” He asked.
“I feel bad for them.” You smiled when he laughed. “I don’t see what they’re here for. I don’t go anywhere or do anything.”
“They’re there to make sure you’re taken care of, that’s all. To protect you.”
“I wouldn’t need them to protect me if you were here.”
“I know, baby. What do you want me to do?”
There was nothing he could do. He could stay on the phone and talk to you for a couple of hours but it wouldn’t do any good.
“Birdie?”
“Joel called me a minute ago.”
You weren’t trying to evoke any specific reaction, but looking back now, telling Elvis about the call seemed like nothing more than a desperate grab for attention. He didn’t sound like he felt any particular way about it when he responded.
“Did he?”
“Yes,” You said, guilelessly.
“What’d he say?” There was a slight uptake to the end of his sentence—was he irritated with you?
“Nothing really, just congratulations and everything.”
“‘Congratulations?’”
He didn’t sound convinced.
“He said he wanted to make sure I was okay.”
“Well, I’m sure you thought that was nice and everything, honey, but he doesn’t need to concern himself with your well-being.”
“Elvis,” You said admonishingly. “He’s an old friend.”
“Old friend my ass.” He laughed shortly. “Don’t play with me.”
“I’m not. It was a harmless call.”
“So harmless you’re running to tell me?”
“‘Running to tell?’ Please.”
“I don’t care if you talk to him, I just think he should speak to me first.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re my wife. I don’t want him getting any ideas about worming his way back in.”
You laughed, mostly at the thought of Joel ‘worming his way’ back into your life. You loved him—he loved you too, undeniably. However, you’d gone past a certain point with him and there was no going back. The spell was broken and any magic you once had with him was gone.
“I don’t think he’ll call again,” You said. “I’m telling you as a courtesy.”
“Well, I appreciate it.” He shifted on the other line with a sigh. “I’m gonna have to get offa here, baby. They need me.”
I need you, you thought. “Okay.”
“I’m gonna see about getting you and Andrea out here for the last week or so,” He said. “I’ll tell Parker it’s for the press.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. That way I can keep an eye on you.”
You didn’t realize that that would be the last time the two of you would be apart for more than forty-eight hours.
You seldom parted. You were either by his side or within his vicinity. Eventually it became the new normal for you to always be together. It was uncomfortable at first, being around the guys.
You had a feeling they hated you.
*
“What?”
“Where is she?”
“Getting dressed.”
You rushed out of the bathroom—fully dressed for the day—to meet Andrea at the bedroom door. Elvis was off from filming again for a few months and your days had been filled with only each other. Andrea was there, sent by the other guys to get you away so that they could have him.
“They want you downstairs,” She said to Elvis—arms crossed and lips slightly pursed.
“Tell them I’m busy.”
“What am I, your messenger?”
“Are you theirs?”
“Yeah, in exchange for some human decency.”
You stopped them before they kept going. “We were headed downstairs anyway. Right, baby?”
He put his arm around you. “That’s right, baby.”
“I actually need to talk to you about something,” Andrea said to you. “It can’t wait. It’s too important.”
You stepped towards her—concerned. “Is everything alright?”
“Birdie,” Elvis said expectantly, waiting for you to come with him.
“We’re only gonna be a second,” You said with an apologetic expression as you ushered Andrea into the room. “I left something in the bathroom anyway.”
“Straight down when you’re done,” He said, leaning in to kiss your cheek. You smiled and he left.
“What’s wrong, Drea?”
“Nothing, I just said that so he’d go away.”
“Why?”
“Because you’ve been inseparable and we’re all suffering because of it.”
You laughed. “Suffering how?”
“Do you realize that I don’t know a single person in this house apart from you?” She sat down on the edge of the bed. “Ray and Serena aren’t even around to talk to these days.”
“I don’t really know them either,” You said, going to the bathroom. “I haven’t even spoken to some of them.”
“It’s not the same. You’re with Elvis.” She met you at the bathroom door, watching as you opened the pill bottle that you’d gotten off the counter. “Again?”
“They help me relax,” You said. “Do you want one? They’re harmless.”
“No.” She continued watching you.
“I’m sorry I haven’t made time for you lately,” You said. “It’s so hard. Nothing exists when we’re together.”
“You poor things.”
“We should head down now.”
Andrea insisted that the two of you go for a round of cards in the sitting room or a walk outside. You agreed for a change—mostly because you felt guilty for not spending time with her.
You had managed to get away that afternoon and you decided to make it up to her. You spent the day relaxing and catching up on some self care. It was a welcomed break that you didn’t know you needed. You had gotten so caught up with her that night had fallen before you realized how late it was.
“It’s the same thing every time,” Andrea complained as you laid in her bed watching television—a fresh coat of polish adorning your nails. “Why do they even bother?”
“You really expect them to get off the island every episode?”
“Isn’t that the point?”
There was a knock at the door that cut your rebuttal short. You looked at Andrea who shrugged and stood carefully to answer it.
“What, Red?” She asked when she saw who it was, a twinge of annoyance lying under her tone.
“He wants the girl,” Red said in a similar tone, obviously forced to fetch you.
You stood to put your clothes back on—Andrea had given you something more comfortable to wear earlier.
“Is that a question or what?”
“Can you send her upstairs?”
“Please?”
“Please.”
“First of all, Red, the girl has a name, and second she’s not here.”
You stopped shuffling around the room to listen.
“What do you mean she ain’t here?”
“I mean she’s not here.”
“She’s supposed to be.”
“Well, she isn’t.”
Red sighed—you pictured him contemplating his next move. “So, what am I supposed to tell ‘im?”
Andrea laughed. “Hell if I know or care.”
“Where the hell is she, Andrea?”
“I don’t know. I’m not her keeper.”
They stood there for a moment, Andrea reveling silently. Red eventually left, mumbling under his breath about going to find you. She shut the door and faced you.
“You should’ve seen the look on his face,” She said through her laughter as she walked back over to her bed. “He’s scared shitless.”
“You shouldn’t play games like that,” You said, laughing despite yourself. “He’s going to want to know where I am.”
“I know, but let’s give him time to squirm at least,” She said, gesturing for you to sit back down. “Come on, humor me a little. This is the most fun I’ve had in weeks.”
You hesitated—you knew you had a choice whether to stay or go, you just didn’t know which outcome you’d rather face. You could stay, but you’d hardly enjoy yourself knowing Elvis would be worried. He’d think you were missing or that you ran off when Red tells him that he couldn’t find you. But leaving meant ruining the night for Andrea, and you were supposed to be making up for abandoning her.
She spoke again. “You can call and tell him you’re with me if it’ll make you feel better. Or you can go, really. It’s just a stupid joke.”
You shook your head, forcing a short laugh as you spoke. “N-No. You’re right.”
“About what?”
“I-I don’t know…you’re always right.”
You laughed nervously and rejoined her on the bed. The phone rang—you both knew who it was.
“Don’t answer it,” You said before she could. “It’s fine.”
The silence between the two of you as the phone rang out was tense, and uncomfortable—at least it was for you. Eventually it stopped ringing and all that remained was the sound of the television.
“Do you think they’ll make it out this time?”
“I sure hope so.”

@friendlyneighbourhoodorgandonor first of all thank u for the lovely comments on the art, I'm so glad I was able to convey the right emotion! You pretty much nailed it, I wanted to depict how Megumi is occupying kind of a liminal timeless space between past and present versions of himself. The train interior is meant 2 convey that liminal/transitional symbolism, but also throws in themes of death and rebirth as well as be a little nod to yuuji's domain. his past self and tsumiki are there as shadows (hah) of a time he can't go back to, and in choosing to keep living he is simultaneously grieving the past (younger self facing tsumiki) and looking towards the future (present self facing yuuji). I struggled with the colours a lot but I knew I wanted it warm yet somber. in a word, I wanted it Wistful. Megumi's character and circumstances are terribly bittersweet and he's got a long road ahead of him but above all the message of this piece is one about the beginnings of self-acceptance and first steps towards healing
re: your questions abt the caption, i completely agree the pronoun "them" is a bit tricky here but unfortunately it's lyrics and there's only so much I can do as I am not porter robinson. admittedly i had thought about editing it slightly to make the caption a bit more straightforward but I have too much love in my heart for Shelter and I think that changing the lyrics wld b doing it a disservice.
even with the slightly confusing "them", originally when i realized that the song ws very megumi to me, "giving [blank] shelter" made me think of a few different interactions:
tsumiki offering (young) megumi a sense of comfort growing up and giving (present) megumi something to fight for
(young) megumi wanting above all else to protect tsumiki and becoming a jujutsu sorcerer in the hopes that she could live peacefully
"start by saving me, itadori"
yuuji reaching out to (young) megumi and fighting to rescue (present) megumi
(present) megumi wanting to save people as a general philosophy
I thought that the caption could refer to any and all of those things! but honestly your comment made me realize how the use of "them" actually ties in really nicely with the timelessness aspect of the art itself, because we can't know which version of megumi it's referring to, or who between yuuji/tsumiki sheltered him and who he wants to shelter in return.
I also think that the shelterer/sheltered relationship could refer to both versions of megumi in an introspective interaction with each other. I drew (present) megumi with his arm around his younger self as a way to show that he is coming to acknowledge how much he has suffered in the past, yet resolving to find the strength to keep living and guide that child forward regardless. In this interaction, present megumi is the shelterer. In response, young megumi looks (metaphorically, not pictured in the art) to his future self and makes his own resolution to keep living, to grow up live a long life, in turn sheltering the people he will come to care about along the way. I like the idea of younger megumi as the one being sheltered becoming the shelterer in a show of gratitude for the strength that (present) megumi was able to find. In a way, he is both living for himself And for others. i know this interpretation is kind of convoluted and throws a bit of weird timeline stuff into the mix but thematically the idea of a cycle of hurt turning into a cycle of healing is very powerful to me.

Do you ever feel like this is a little too much of an echo chamber of people feeding each other crazy ideas so much that it becomes truth? I am floored by the N/L chemistry and would love them together if that’s what they want but they have never said that and it is feeling weird. Sometimes I feel gaslighted! I read something on Reddit about fandoms in general following this same pattern and I wonder if I have turned into a tin-hatter myself by shipping them (first time I have ever followed celebs like this). I hope this doesn’t get me blocked. I am feeling a little uneasy lately (I really lead a very normal life with plenty of friends and family and I “touch grass”) but just wondering if I am alone.
Anon, thank you for being brave and sending this ask. I know the past 24-ish hours have been absolutely insane in the fandom and I can understand that if anyone has a different opinion, they might be hesitant to share it (and I'm talking about BOTH sides of this "argument" right now - I know people are feeling riled up right now but everyone, please take some deep breaths). I want to make sure I'm answering your ask with thoughtfulness and sincerity, so here goes:
(Also, I started answering this ask at around 11 am EDT, so before some bombs started being revealed, IYKYK. So apologies, my brain is all over the place rn.)
I think it's totally possible to enter an "echo chamber" when it comes to fandoms and shipping. I will use myself as an example with how I was getting a lot of my info when I started in this fandom at the beginning of the year. I was really only on Twitter (cringe, I know...) and because I was interacting with one specific portion of the fandom, I had a skewed view of the whole situation. You are what your algorithm gives you on social media/what you teach it 😅 And even though I don't necessarily enjoy seeing certain things on my feed or timeline, at least for me here on Tumblr, it feels mostly less toxic.
I also think it's really understandable to feel gaslighted about the entire press tour and N/L's relationship. We watched dozens and dozens of interviews, behind-the-scenes and promos and I don't think it's a coincidence that so many in the general audience started to question whether or not they were dating. Like I keep saying, the chemistry is fucking off the charts between them. (Edit to add: I also don't think so many would have stumbled head over feet into this ship if it also wasn't for the deep and long-term friendship between them. I know that's what drew me in, for sure. There is HISTORY there.)
IMO, as much as we joke about our delulu and whatnot, I feel like as long as you're respectful and keep it to the appropriate corners of the internet, I don't think you've turned into a tin-hatter. The problem is when folks take it to their pages and/or feel entitled to individuals behaving a certain way, like an expectation is the given. Another issue I see is when projection starts to overtake para-social relationships. Lastly, I also want to emphasize that fandom/shipping is supposed to be fun and if you aren't feeling it anymore, then it's perfectly okay to take a break or move on.
Your feelings of unease are totally legitimate and you're allowed to sit in your thoughts and take time to process them!
For me personally, I'm taking the latest "photographic evidence" with grains of salt. I'm just not sure I believe a narrative other than N and JD are in the same friend group - a friend group who all attended the same festival for the most part. I'm also not sure what I think about these photos being dropped a week afterwards; the timing of all the various events over the past week is enough to raise my eyebrows, for sure.
I will also say - and this is probably an unpopular opinion - but if this rumored relationship turns out to be completely true - I will have the same issues about a power imbalance between N and JD because of their age, life experience, etc. I just have a hard time believing N, a woman near my age, would ever consider dating someone so young (and yep, aware that this is projection on my part). I just can't help but wonder that Nicola, someone we've witnessed be very private about her dating life over the last several years, has been so openly "caught" with JD without it raising my suspicions. It's at least enough to make me pause and question it all, you know? I won't get too deep into my conspiracy theories (maybe for a later post).
Anyway, I'm not sure if this has made you feel better, Anon. But I want you to know that you aren't alone. I'm always here to listen if you have any further asks 💕

Hi! I was looking through Magica De Spell’s Wikipedia page today and it says that Magica has a sister named the Wicked Witch of the West, who has children named Witch Child and Warlock. I couldn’t find any information of them online so I was wondering if you knew anything about them, if they exist at all.
If they don’t, do you think you could instead do a character post on Magica’s cousin Matilda? Your old family tree posts helped me a lot in understanding Duck lore.
Aw I'm glad those posts help!! I'm still down for making them 'cause it's a lot of fun for me to find old comics and do some research.
Tumblr media
So before I talk about Witch Child, I wanna clarify some things that are relevant to the character.
This is another case where Americans can't stop themselves from taking "sister" and "aunt" literally. Aunt can be used to refer to any older woman in someone's life. Sister is frequently used in stories about witches (because a coven is like a sisterhood/sorority, it's a whole thing). Neither imply blood relation! Even "cousin" is often used to refer to friends/neighbors. Different cultures and languages treat words like that very differently than Americans do.
Witch Child, Warlock, & Witch of the West are all from a very specific time period of Brazilian duck comics where Magica and Madam Mim (from The Sword and the Stone) were living together/dating/???? and interacted with other Disney movie characters. In this specific timeline, the ducks live amongst regular humans which is very strange but you just gotta accept it. Magica also lives in Duckburg I think? It seems like she and Scrooge just run into each other randomly so I believe she and Mim have a house in Duckburg for whatever reason
"Witch Child" is not her name and I don't know why she's referred to like that on InDucks/other wikias. Her name in Brazil (where she was created) is Magali, in Italian she's Maghetta/Maghina/Streghella (inconsistent names in translations are very common), and in French she's Seraphine. None of her comics have an official English publication so again idk where "Witch Child" comes from! But I'll probably refer to her as Streghella for the remainder of this post 'cause it's easier that way.
OKAY now for details:
In Streghella's first comic, Magica gets a letter from a friend asking her and Madam Mim to babysit her friend's daughter. Streghella is whiny and rude and a troublemaker. She ruins a magical career opportunity for Magica and it's pretty funny
Tumblr media
Then there's a whole bunch of comics where she just appears for no reason, making trouble. She's a surprisingly powerful witch but she just loves to piss everyone off, especially Mim.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another important note about Streghella - she was only really drawn by two comic artists during the height of her appearances (in the 70s, pretty much). The above drawings were all done by an artist named Jim Fletcher. But she had a lot of appearances drawn by an artist named Glenn Schmitz, who drew her completely differently.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't know if I would've realized these were even the same character if it wasn't documented lol but y'know they didn't have the same resources in the 70s that we have now so they did what they could.
Anyway, from what I can tell her personality stayed mostly in tact through most of these comics. Whiny, stuck-up, nosy, but also very funny and magically powerful. She would occasionally interact with Scrooge or HDL but mostly her appearances were in Magica and Mim comics.
Oh there's one comic where she looks like this for some reason?
Tumblr media
BUT THEN what's interesting is Streghella making a few appearances years after her comics all came out. First there was one comic in 1995, then twice in 2011 and once more in 2016. There's also apparently a 2020 appearance but I couldn't get my hands on it :(
In her 1995 appearance she looks really cute but her personality is, well. Personality-wise she's completely unrecognizable. Now Magica makes comments about Streghella always trying to be good and getting in trouble for being good all the time.
(Ignore the bad english translation I was just popping pages into google translate lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She's still a troublemaker in the sense that she tries to trick Magica and Mim into consuming a potion that will make them good, kind people. But then the comic ends with Magica doing something nice by choice and it's cute but yeah the character is nothing like her original self.
Her first 2011 comic is where she...wants to go to a Jonas Brothers concert and chats with April May & June online to try and make it happen. Something like that. It follows along with "Streghella is too kind and Magica tries to teach her to be evil" from the '95 comic, but for some reason the colorist made Streghella a brunette. Idk! They also forgot her iconic hat!
Tumblr media
Next 2011 comic has Huey Dewey and Louie accidentally traveling to a magic academy. It's very Harry Potter-y? I guess? Streghella is friendly and does some magic. You can tell it's her 'cause of the pigtails and bows. But still no hat :(
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In her 2016 appearance, she's been reading April May and June's blog and wants to help them with some problem. Magica is like no be mean and Streghella's like no I want to help! You get it.
Tumblr media
This comic is pretty fun. Magica turns herself into Grandma Duck and puts a truth potion into some cake Streghella bakes for the Duck Family and gets a bunch of secrets out of them.
Tumblr media
There's also a joke at the end where Daisy accidentally reveals Brigitta's age to everyone (we don't get to see it) but according to this comic, Brigitta is much older than she looks lol Not that we didn't already know that.
Anyway so that's all there is to know about Witch Child/Streghella. She's cute!
Warlock time!
Warlock is Streghella's brother. He's only in four comics total and they're mostly very early comics - his real name is just whatever Streghella's name was at the time but with an -o at the end. If she's Maghetta, he's Maghetto. If she's Maghina, he's Maghino. You get it. He'd probably be Streghello if he had a named appearance more recently.
Tumblr media
His personality is not very distinct from Streghella's. He's also magical and a troublemaker. In his first comic he arrives in the mail, in a, like...little jail cell? Crate? Idk? And then Magica and Mim eventually box both kids up into the crate and ship them away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Yes that's supposed to be him, apparently.)
He appears in the magic school comic as well...

And that's it! There's not really anything else to know about him.
Last but not least...the Witch of the West! Actually, that's a lie. Least. She appears just the one time. And I'm gonna be honest. I don't think she's the biological mother of these bird children.

'Cause yeah she's a human witch. Idk if she's from another Disney property or if she's supposed to be the witch from the Wizard of Oz. Idk man. But Streghella calls her "mama" and she refers to Streghella as her daughter so I'll take those ones literally.
There's nothing much to say about her - she doesn't have a name and all she does is drop her kid off with Magica and then reappear when Mim and Magica threaten to lock Streghella inside a bottle.
NOW if you're wondering...how do these characters connect to the previously known characters that are related to Magica De Spell?
They do not! The fact that Streghella has made a few recent appearances means you can decide how you want her to fit in, but trying to blend these different canons will not be seamless. You just gotta take what you like. Streghella frequently refers to herself as Magica's apprentice so you can always take that route, too.
Aaaaaaaaaand since you asked, I'm happy to talk about Matilda! God there are too many Matildas in duck comics. I have never met a woman named Matilda in my life. It's fine.
Matilda De Spell (not an official name but I call her that anyway) - Magica's teenage cousin! Is she actually, biologically, Magica's cousin? Probably not. But it's fiiiiiiine.
I did actually scanlate all three comics that Matilda appears in, so you can read them if you'd like:
There's not really anything to know about her outside of these comics. She's tomboyish, spunky, fun. Really looks up to Magica. I think their dynamic is fun and I always like to see more teen characters lol I think I've portrayed Matilda as Amelia De Spell's younger sister but that's definitely not canon, just me trying to stick the blondes together.
Anyway sorry this ended up being such a long response. I haven't had the opportunity to research random duck characters in a while. I hope this has the answers you wanted :)
