me: I’m gonna write something inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s 207 minute long epic Seven Samurai. It shouldn’t be too difficult or lengthy to write
me when the page count is 135 and I’m just writing the explosive climax:
#for those who don’t know: screenplay page count is roughly 1:1 minute runtime length#and for competitions and spec and such you’re typically not supposed to go past 120#like til that the final draft program’s page count at the top of the screen goes red when you go past 125#like the program is saying ‘wrap this shit up b’ and how about you mind your goddamn business and format the document final draft#and it’s like it’s fucking seven samurai. what did i expect? brevity?#anyway i’m finishing a messy first draft tomorrow#and this is easily going to be the longest screenplay i’ve ever written (definitely going past 138 my previous record)
