sorry im about to vent off topic :i s2g if they hint on handsome jack in the movie and it is NOT dameon clarke im gonna lose my marbles. I feel like when they look at the success of the characters as well the VAs do so much heavy lifting to giving life to these characters. why they didnt just use the VA for Claptrap from B3 is beyond me why did it need to be someone else so it doesnt even sound right - they def went for name recongition over matching the characters - kevin hart is so tiny hes such a small dude and roland is large and also if roland is alive wouldnt thta imply that jack's also alive. like handsome jack is so successful because of dameon. he gave so many off the cuff lines. and if they wnated to make a movie why would they not choose the tales gang if thats the one that gave them so much credit? sorry i have so many feelings and i, also so SICK of seeing tiny tina bein g used for literally every borderlands merch thing recently

I'm fine with actors putting their own spin on characters they play and seeing how their writing can be interpreted differently but with handsome jack it becomes really tricky cause like... dameon clarke MADE jack who he is. Like a lot of people credit him for how good of a character he is so whoever WOULD play jack would have a whole lot of expectations to match. We already hate the casting (which is 100% just to get attention instead of accurately portraying the characters) so imagine how much more we would hate it if they messed jack up

Overall the whole movie just adds to what I said about gbox being out of touch with the fandom. We got randy already claiming he wants to make a sequel when the whole fanbase has voiced concern and disinterest about the movie just based on the trailers and they're just really trying to force lilith and tina to be fan favorites when they're... not? Like I love them, especially lilith like that's my homegirl right there, but the fandom as a whole would disagree that they're even well-liked characters

Growing up, you’d gotten interested in many things. You were really educated on a lot and your dad, Daryl honestly couldn’t keep up with it. He tried his best, since he’s a pretty quiet guy he’s a great listener. Although, sometimes you wished he’d give you some sort of feedback or maybe ask you questions about whatever it was you were telling him about.

Even after the turn he never really had time to talk about anything. He was always going on runs or he went out hunting. He was really important in the way the prison ran, so he was always busy. You always felt sort of anxious about it, you could never really talk or share your thoughts or explain the interests you loved. They were especially important now as most of your hyper fixations were what was getting you through it all.

You talked, and you talked a lot and there’s nothing wrong with that. But in a world that suddenly had gone quiet, it was hard for people to listen to you considering how adapted they’d become to the silence. You were like a burst of energy that most people weren’t exactly ready for quite yet.

Except for Carl.

He always thought you were the cutest and funniest ever, even when you were younger like at the quarry or the farm. There, you never really had freedom to be yourself because the adults would always tell you to hush and be quieter. That’s why at the prison, he loved to watch you be who you truly were. He’d seen you interact with the other kids at the prison and had gotten angry at them for brushing you off when you were excited about certain things and began to ramble. So, one day at the tables outside the prison, he did something not many people did.

He asked you your favorite book series.

You were ecstatic, even though you realize this may not an invitation to explain to him every bit of lore of the story, you were happy he’d even put in the effort to ask. You tried to stay as calm as possible. “It’s called A Series of Unfortunate Events…it’s quite complicated…” You explain shyly, not having really opened up to him like that before. Sure you’d gone through a lot with him but you stayed quiet a lot of the time because of how discouraged you were by adults.

“Complicated? How so?” He questioned. Which is exactly what you wanted. Your eyes widen a bit but you try your best to stay calm so you don’t completely scare him off.

“Well how much do you wanna know, I mean it’s quite a lot it could take me hours to explain and I’d feel quite bad if you wanted like a quick synopsis and not an entire look on the lore and…” Your voice trails off when you realize you’d been rambling. He however was admiring you completely. He found you so refreshing. “I wanna hear everything.” He tells you. Again exactly what you wanted. Was he always so cute? Or is that something you’d just noticed?

“I guess I could start with the basic information, there’s three siblings right, theres Violet who’s the eldest sister and she’s an inventor, she always ties her hair up with this ribbon and that’s how you know she’s gonna make something good...” You continue to ramble and smile at little details you explain. “Then there’s the middle child, Klaus who’s a boy and he is very intelligent, he remembers basically anything ever told to him which I somewhat relate to considering I get really interested at certain things but anyway,” He giggles at you a bit, enjoying everything in front of him at the moment.

“They also have a little sister Sunny who’s just a baby but they understand everything she says and she has these teeth that are super sharp even though it’s just four but she could probably bite off a finger if she really wanted to.” His eyes widen a bit. “A finger? Wow…and only four teeth?” He inquired, very intrigued at what you’re saying.

You continue to talk to him a bit more, explaining a good amount of the plot to him and he listened intently. You’d stopped for dinner but continued to talk with him during. At some point, Daryl had to come and pry you away from him so you could actually go the hell to bed. Carl didn’t want you to go, you’d already gotten him invested and he wouldn’t be able to sleep without knowing what happened next. He also wanted to just spend time with you.

“Cmon s’time for bed.” Daryl told you, you then turned to Carl and a small frown was displayed on his face. “We can talk again tomorrow morning…if you want.” He immediately nods. “Yes- yeah I’d love to.” Daryl looks between the both of you, knowing how much Carl had admired you. He also knew that if Carl was listening and wanting to know more, you’d also admire him just as much. You smile at him and nod. Daryl directs you in the way of the cells and he stays back to talk to Carl.

“You got somethin for my daughter?” He interrogated Carl for a moment. “W-what?” Daryl looks back at you to make sure you’re far enough before continuing. “Those books…she’s been dyin to talk to me about those since I found em for her. Haven’t had the time.” He explains. “No one else seems to want to hear about it. What’re you up to?” Carl tilts his head a bit. “I just wanted to know her favorite series…I suppose I enjoy hearing her talk.” He smiles.

So Daryl left him alone about it. He was glad to know you had someone to talk to while he was busy.

The next day at breakfast, you were eating while reading back at the benches. Once he gets his plate he walks over and sits across from you. His paper plate hit the table with a bit a thud and you notice, looking up from the book. “Oh…hey.” You look up at him and smile, he takes a moment to respond as he’s quite flustered to see your smile straight off the bat. “Hi…which one are you reading?” He points to your book.

“The twelfth book. I’m kinda sad about it though…” You give a small pout and he picks up a bit of bacon to take a bite. “Why, cause it’s gonna end?” He chews his food and waits for your reply. “That and I don’t have the last book.” You fold the page’s corner, sort of a way to mark your place. Carl takes note of that. He does however feel horrible that you’re missing the last book. “Oh really? I’m sorry…maybe we can make up our own ending. Once you explain the rest of it to me.” He does his best to cheer you up.

But somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew he had to solve your problem. Although he was too young to go out scavenging, his best friend wasn’t. So after breakfast where you explained the second book to him, on his way to do his chores he stopped Michonne on her way out of the gate. “Do you think maybe if it’s not to big a deal you could stop at the library? I’m looking for a book.” He explains, not quite mentioning you currently. “Is this for your new old ‘friend’?” She questions, somewhat teasingly. He rolls his eyes but nods. “Yes. She’s missing the last book. The thirteenth.”

“The last book? Tragic. I know the series, I overheard your guys’ chats yesterday.” She smiles.

So she left and you didn’t see Carl till later that night in the cell block after dinner. He stopped by your cell with a small bag in his hands. He pushed the curtain open to see you lying on your stomach atop your bed, on the final pages of the twelfth book. “Almost done?” He sort of startled you but you immediately smile once you realize it’s him.

“Mhm.” His visit was rather unusual, usually you’d just talk to him during the day but not before bed. You sit up and make room for him to come sit beside you. “I got something for you.” He reaches into the bag and pulls out a book, the thirteenth book. “‘The End?’ Really? How…I mean my dad’s been looking for it for me but-” You look up at him with a bright grin. You don’t really say anything before swiftly tackling him in a hug. He hugs you so tightly, all he wanted was to see you happy.

After pulling away from the hug, he reached back down into the back and pulled out a hook bookmark. It had a little arrow charm. Fitting for a Dixon to say the least.

“I mean…this makes sense.” You tell him, he laughs at your comment. “I just thought I’d have Michonne find you the last book. I’m quite invested in it myself. I love hearing you talk about it…I love hearing you talk.” He explains, sort of staring at you admiringly. You notice and look a tad skeptical, knowing there was something more appealing to him than just talking.

“I uh..I have a small crush on you…if that explains everything.” He admits, his face turning a light shade of pink.

You smile. “Yeah, I could tell.”

On the topic of Mihawk’s death again. What if miraculously there’s a timeline where neither Shanks or Mihawk die and they do get to retire together like Shanks planned but Mihawk just isnt…happy.

He’s not sad either, not even totally angry he’s just kind of hollow cause who is Dracule Mihawk if he’s not the strongest swordsman in the world? If he’s so injured he can’t even pick up his sword or god forbid he doesn’t have his sword cause Yoru shattered or something. Who’s Mihawk if he’s not carrying his cross on his back? Can he exist without being an extension of his sword?

And the strange part is that he’s kind of content about it too because he got the fight of his life, the kind of fight he’s only dreamt about since Shanks lost his arm. The kind of fight he’s been waiting for since he fought a stupid reckless kid with three katanas in the ruins of a floating restaurant, heard his promise to his captain and let him live. Because he is proud of Zoro how could he not be? Somewhere along the line Zoro went from challenger to student, somewhere in those 2 years spent together along with that annoying ghost girl he actually started to actually care about them and their dreams. How could he not be proud of Zoro. But also how could he not be inconceivably angry with him for not finishing the job. That he left him to live like this. No title, no sword no strength, just a man.

But theres Shanks and, Shanks helps.

Gives him shelter and protection he hates to need. Tells him to get up and get stronger again, let’s him train with Gryphon cause any other sword feels to much like a replacement. Shanks doesn’t care if he is strong but won’t let him remain weak either. He pulls him out the darkness, always with something idiotic or nonsensical to say, always so sunny that just his mere presence chances the cold away. They can spar now and it doesn’t feel so weighed down by failed promises of missing arms. For the first time in a long time looking at Shanks’ empty left sleeve doesn’t feel him with uncontrollable grief that he has to tamp down lest it consume him, because now he kind of gets it. Cause now he too has sacrificed everything that he has, everything that he is for the sake of the dreams of a boy.

But mostly Shanks gives him hope. Maybe it’s okay he’s not the World’s Greatest Swordsman, maybe Mihawk can make do with just being a legendary swordsman if he gets to keep this just a little bit longer.

I feel like i haven't posted in forever again TwT

I found an old GlitterGolf idea drabble that I wrote after reading a really good fic about them buried in the depths of my phone so uh...

*throws it at you*

Omg a glittergolf fic with judgemental, sassy, hw2-esque Sun

So like, not only is there the trope of Monty disliking him and thinking hes annoying asf and a weird freak,  but now instead of being oblivious and nice, Sun returns the same energy, thinking that Monty is a selfish brute who shouldnt be trusted around children. Like, he'll make very off  comments about him and just spend the whole time scowling and trying to shoo him out XD

So, like, imagine there's a thing going on at the daycare.

Where, as almost like, a way to bring more business in and shit, theyve started having a daily thing where one of the glams will visit the kids there and do an activity with them for an hour or so. Usually its Freddy, sometimes its Chica, and rarely its Roxy. This is the first opportunity that Sun really gets to meet them, and it actually goes really well. Sun absolutely adores Freddy, has a new bestie in chica, and shockingly has some good banter and an unlikely friendship with Roxy.

However, theres a day where Freddy has to go for energency maintenence, and the others are all booked for parties.

Leaving only Monty free to do it.

Now, Monty has never done one of the shifts before, because he doesnt do well with the younger kids. Both because hes scary to alot of them, and because he also just doesnt really know how to deal with them. Maybe deep down theres even a deep rooted fear of hurting them 👀👀👀

(There definitely is)

But so he is absolutely NOT excited to go.

Despite the way that the rest of the Glams praise up Sunny and how great he is, Monty does not care and still views him as the same annoying freak he always did, despite not having met him yet.

So, he shows up and Sun opens the door all cheery being like "Oh hello Freddy! Youre a bit late i was worried you werent gonna show up and-"

And then he clocks that its monty.

"Oh."

He immediately glares down at him in pure, utter distain, voice filled with disappointment and mirth.

Monty stares back up at him with a huff, tense. If he had fur, his hackles would be absolutely raised.

Then Sun would be all like "ugh. Ew. why are you here", and Monty very bluntly explains that hes been forced to go and that Freddy is in maintenence.

Then Sun tries to shut the door on him XD

"Im sure the kids can go one day without a glamrock then! Ill let them know freddy is sick, thank you for telling me. Lovely to meet you, Montgomery!"

Monty stops the door by grabbing it stongly with his hand, scoring clawmarks into it.

"What do you think you're doing?!"

Sun scoffs at the damage

"Im the one taking over, dipshit. Im here to do my fuckin job"

The realization that hes truely stuck with Monty dawns on him, and he opens the door again, taking a deep breath.

"No swearing in the daycare..."

He spits it through gritted teeth and relents, turning his back to him and stalking away.

Then the cheery front goes back up and he completely changes XD

He introduces Monty to the kids as best as he can, but none of them really seem too interested, making him both snicker but also be incredibly frustrated that his dramatic intro didnt work.

(Also, to explain more character stuff, Sun is mostly in typical fanon form, and then uses all that hw2 sass mostly as a defence mechanism. Hes definitely got some mischief to him that he also uses it for, like banter with Roxanne, but for the most part hes a sweetheart. He gets easily frustrated with management and people that he doesnt like, but has alot of patience with activities like crafts and also with the kids. He is still like, painfully innocent and has his loopy childlike vibe, but just covers it up when he feels threatened. The best way i can describe it is that he acts like a playground bully when he doesnt like you. XD Still childish, but now just a more snarky, cold and mean version. Hes a bit cautious of some new things, although very curious. So he normally is a bit cautious around new people, but very welcoming and nice.

This is different for Monty, because of what he hears from the kids XD

Alot of them when mentioning him in passing, see Monty as scary and violent, so now thats how Sun views him. Alot of the kids see him as a threat, so now Sun does too. Hes protective of the kids, so of course hes jumped to judge someone he doesnt know based on whether the kids like him or not XD

Dont get me wrong, in some situations hed definitely try to show the kids the thing theyre scared of isnt so bad, but in the case of Monty, he has confirmation  that he can be angry and violent from the other glams and staff, so of course he still just sees him as bad lmao.

Like, the way he acts towards Monty is mostly because of mama bear instinct stuff. He sees him as a threat to the kids  so he doesnt like him.)

Enemies to lovers my beloved ✨️

But over time, Monty starts having to do it more and more, as inconveniences keep piling up, and Sun starts to kind of let his guard down, and the scathing defensiveness turns into teasing. He sees Monty actually trying to connect with some of the kids, and also after spending his whole life w Moon, understands that Monty is frustrated that theyre scared of him. He starts to see the good in Monty, and also pity him a bit.

Monty on the other hand, starts to admire how much Sunny cares about the kids, and steadily gets used to his upbeat and overly cheery demeanor. He no longer sees him as annoying, but instead, endearing.

And then theres eventually endgame GlitterGolf

cuddle saga 7: more richas I miss him

for awhile, cuddling always felt kind of empty like something (someone) was missing. thered be a space next to richarlyson that felt painfully open, even if his dads were pressed up right next to him. he tried really hard to ignore it, really really hard (it didn't work much)

nowadays he's more than content to throw himself onto roier's chest or cellbit's stomach for cuddles, even if the ache doesn't go away

he likes feeling cellbit purr, or having roier's arm on top of him, even if it's just with one of them

he takes after cellbit a lot in that he likes how strong his pa is when cuddling, usually making a show of squeaking and struggling like he's being smothered just to hear them laugh

sometimes, when both he and roier have decided cellbit hasn't given them nearly enough attention or affection, he gets lifted into his arms and they both stare at him with the saddest expressions they can muster

movie night cuddles are some of his favorites! because roiers on the couch, and cellbit's leaning on him, and richas gets to sit on both their laps at the same time and it's awesome

cuddles with his pai are usually in some sunny spot outside the castle, they both end up asleep and covered in grass and dirt because the warm sun makes them both so sleepy. and sometimes when he wakes up, pa roier is also asleep next to them, holding both of them close and snoring a little bit

back when bobby was still alive, their adventures would leave both of them completely exhausted, and they'd end up asleep on top of each other, sandwiched between roier and cellbit as they tried to speak as softly as possible not to wake them

his dads' bed is always open for him when he has nightmares about a brother no longer there, and he crawls right in and curls up between them and everything is good. and even if the subject of his nightmares isn't there anymore, it still feels like he is, slightly bigger than richarlyson and holding onto him with their dads

i changed sunnys cutiemark from 'generic shooting star' to a sign with two overlapping stars because i feel like it fit her whole 'standing up for what she believes and wanting everyone to come together' thing.

i changed hitchs from a cop badge with a horseshoe to being an admittedly rough version of a judges hammer and paw print. hes not a cop in mine because like... no. but he still cares about the law and what hes told is right, and also obviously still has animals following him around just because he exists :p

im not completely satisfied with him, i wanted his hair to be closer to his ponytown counterpart, and i still think the cutiemark could use some work, but it gets the point across. i kept the sash because its a fun accessory and it gives 'kid in school thats always bossing people around to keep in line based on the rules' to me. hall monitor? we didnt have those in my school but hall monitors on tv are similar LOL

i changed zipps from a plain lightning bolt with a crown because like. okay sure shes a princess but she really didnt seem to care much for that role, and she still doesnt care for it in my au. i liked how she was meant to be detective-like so i kept that aspect and gave her a magnifying glass while keeping the lightning bolt within it.

i kept izzys, pipps, and mistys cutiemarks the same. pipp is still a princess-y musical pony, izzy is still a creative DIY queen, and misty is still... well to be completely honest i still cant put her whole thing into words but i still liked the concept so yeah.

i leaned a little bit into their names with some of them. starscout, storm, petals. felt like it wouldve been too much to do it with all of them, especially since not all of them have spots on their legs. and yes, star shaped freckles. mistys freckles are supposed to be butterfly shaped but its hard to do that with them that small...

i kept all their haircolors basically the same even if i changed the hair for basically all of them. i thought it would add a lot to actually have different hair textures and for them to not all be pastel ponies, even if it is the pastel pony franchise. plus i remembered the criticism about how the only pony with actually textured hair was the one working with the villain and how unfair and weird that was.

i wanted pipp to actually still have the same hair shape as her canon counterpart but i couldnt figure out the little bendy part :'] thats on me though

i know mistys hairdye is meant to match her cutiemark, but i kinda didnt like that it just completely covered up her natural hair color, and i liked her natural hair colors so i kept them *and* the dye.

also zipps monocle is literally just cause its like cartoonishly detective-y and i thought it would be cute and dorky. girl who was raised in a castle imitating her favorite detective stories. idk maybe theres one like that in their world cause i thought sherlock in our world had one but i. am realizing i dont think he did. too bad for him

more disorganized yakuza culture bordering on religion thoughts

it feels like the writer went deep into reading about buddhism and religion at one point

im not japanese but a SEAsian uh chinese/hokkien diaspora who happens to be a weab so take this with some grain of salt bc we arent a monolith here

Surface level understanding of buddhism

when it comes to gang and tattoos or in yakuza's case irezumi, theres a general consensus of tats = cool and rebellious in a culture thats largely very collectivist. so getting one is like pointing the middle finger to society

the problem is sometimes tattoos are gotten more for the aesthetics than truly understanding the deeper meaning behind it. an easy example is the dragon itself: its powerful, its strong, it comes and goes, and does good things whenever it wants to. it might get associated with buddhism but like... if you think about it for 3 seconds, it fucking falls apart for 1 reason

gods in buddhism are the maintenance crew for the world's function (rain, nature, etc), and at the same time are supposed to be as part of the cycle and pain as everyone else. meaning, gods arent inherently special, they just happen to be higher beings doing their best to escape the cycle of samsara.

so by that lens, borrowing godhood from god to elevate yourself is... uh. kinda weird. (imo at least).

yet what goes on in 2? ryuji borrows the dragon iconography and tries to achieve dragonhood. kiryu is thematically the dragon but thats kind of all that he is. hes more theme than human at this point.

in yakuza 1 and 2 theres some hint of this surface crap. the story never really goes deep enough exploring the aspects of this cycle of suffering thing. the general message seems to be, suffering happens and builds character. which fucking sucks.

but thats not the real point of the buddhist message. its more suffering is unavoidable, so do your best to reduce it for yourself and others, and roll with it.

The gap and the growth between 1, 2 and 7, 8

looking at 7 and 8 in contrast to 1 and 2 and i think its clearly buddhist as fuck: kasuga ichiban is framed as jesus, but in some buddhist interpretations, jesus qualifies as a boddhisattva, ie someone who clears the condition of escaping samsara but chooses to stay behind to help. and thats what ichiban does. he doesnt judge, he refuses to play into classism bullshit, and forces people to look past it.

buddhism was originally a breakaway from hinduism. where hinduism had a whole caste system forcing people into tiers, buddhism tried breaking it. (and then medieval japan's government turned it into shinto buddhism and shoved everyone into a caste system themself... yeesh.)

meanwhile, in gaiden, kiryu has this bit where he meditates as a monk for enlightenment.

makes me wonder if the writer tried to do something similar and exactly how much buddhist stuff did they read at one point....

Kiryu and Kasuga's theme. Dragon and Not-Dragon

ok i fucking caught this:

kiryu is the rain dragon isnt he? hes always associated with rain in yakuza 1 and 2, in an era where rendering rain for cinematic purposes is a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS.

theres a few types of dragons out there but the uhhh oldest? traditional-est? one is the association with rain and storms. originally bc ppl in the past thought lightning strikes and flashes looks a lot like mythical creatures, and eventually the whole eastern dragon came about with that association.

meanwhile kasuga's kanji name reads as spring day. i am looking directly into the camera at this theming. hes the sunny spring day that comes after the storm. the story will be far kinder to him than kiryu.

so even though dragons are supposed to be strong and good fortune to be seen, and are benevolent and etc, they are again more theme than person.

theres even a real trend where everyone wants to borrow the dragon aesthetic to look cool, big, strong, fortuitous and lucky, be it in tattoos, irezumi, ritual, traditions or propaganda (chinese nationalism stuff). what i mean is people will have babies on the year of the dragon on purpose, wear the dragon and give more preferential treatment to their child/grandchild born on the year of the dragon.

everyone worships the dragon and takes its scales to wear, but no one thinks of the dragon as a creature. as a living thing.

meanwhile ichiban's irezumi cant even be called a dragon. maybe a mermaid. but not a dragon. and in that regard i feel like he's escaped from a fucking curse.

Carrying the cross

some other bits i picked up also. kazuki and daigo, and their crosses

shinto buddhism is the default in japan. but more SHINTO than buddhism, mind, bc buddhism is something people seek out these days rather than be taught bc its too super fucking esoteric. meanwhile, christianity is the minor religion. while some people do think of it negatively (due to instances of cults), it is by no means a mystery or exotic or even so minor that its rare.

anyway thing is. in these specific characters' cases, im 99% sure they signify a desire to walk away from their old self and past. bc of the baptism thing.

in buddhism, theres nothing to absolve one of their past. theres a strong emphasis on change instead, so its more of acceptance rather than discard.

which is. hm. idk what daigo's major deal is but from 2 -> 8 he seems like he ate a lot of shit along the way, guessing from his acala irezumi and name. and that the cross isnt a big thing in his character design anymore: it reads a little like he stopped running away from his family history.

and you know im always thinking about mountain/rain. they're so warm to me. i think about them and all the little ways they get each other and i get giddy.

ive also been thinking about aether a lot recently. how much i miss him. how different he is from aeon. how much i miss that goofy energy he brought on stage, the dynamic between him and dew. its just not the same anymore. aeon isnt bad, hes just different. and theres just something a little bit more to aether, something soft and warm (see above) and silly and lighthearted that is so aether. i didnt know how much of a comfort ghoul he was for me until we didnt have him anymore, you know?

i miss sunny too. i wonder what she and aether get up to when the others are on tour.

Basically, the Functionists were in charge, we were split into castes, poor bots and anyone in the lower undesireable castes weren't allowed to procreate or even have romantic partners, cause romance leads to sex or whatever. Some bots were sterilized for speaking out, others were sterilized because the Functionist council couldnt risk them having kids even on accident. We were actually the kids of an upper class mech and lower class mech. They kept us hidden for a few years but they were found out.

The further down in the caste system you were, the less rights and privileges you had. Even upper class mecha were restricted on some things, so even they weren't free. Frame types couldn't mix. It was a whole fucking mess.

Sideswipe- They started "decommissioning" "undesirable" mecha too. Decommissioning meaning killing and undesirable meaning old models.

Sunstreaker- It was fucked up.

Sunstreaker- Yeah, he mentioned that in class last week.

Sideswipe- How do you think he and Hound met? Hound was in the Cybertronian Army. Army mecha and high class mecha didn't really mix before the war, he said so himself in class.

Sunstreaker- Can you be more articulate!?!? ... Also yeah, thats basically what happened. They kept disagreeing on how to build a new government, people took sides, and the rest is... well, history.

Sideswipe- Ugh, the beginning of the war took like, 6 months to get through, Hound just went on and on and ON. This was so much faster.

Sunstreaker- Because i left out a bunch of details!! Details which are important to know!

Sunstreaker- Because the war isnt as black and white as some of the adults make it out to be!

Sideswipe- I mean, i get that, but it took so long to just get through the events leading up to the war.

I have to talk abt this as this has been in my mind for months and this i think is the only safe space to talk abt the fandom and their weird antics towards the characters/actors and overall games.Im not against criticism but theres a line between criticizing and going overboard with hating.

One thing i dont understand abt the god of war fandom is that they complain about alot of things not being “accurate” and thats doesnt make sense to me bc when has gow ever been accurate? I thought it was obvious from the beginning that SMS wasnt going for that and never truly will. Its always their own interpretation. They also have this weird hatred / ignorance towards atreus that i also dont understand? Yea he was a little annoying in the first game but thats understandable as hes… a kid. Ragnarok expanded his character pretty well imo and i feel like alot of these people for some reason cannot get past him in general? Maybe because they are afraid of him taking over the series and “forgetting” kratos (idk why thats in their minds LOL) or they just hate him just because. I feel like the fandom wants kratos to forever be this god who destroys things and whatnot and its all so weird. like they never gave him a chance. thankfully he has fans but majority hates him. Dont even get me started on how they treat angrboda. Its really so ridiculous to me that they can be so hateful for no true reason. they call her a bitch for yelling at atreus when all the women in the game get annoyed or disappointed in him atleast once. And they dont understand that she has only known this prophecy shit for her whole life and she couldnt do anything outside bc of the threat. ofc shes angry bro LOLL its also in her name like i dont understand 😭.  Atreus helps her get out of that mindset and assures her she can do whatever she wants now. Laya is so strong idk how she does it :( I also noticed they treat thrud as this “replacement” of angrboda bc they dont like her either cuz shes black or bc they hate her and everything related to atreus but as long as he has a character they can like thats not angrboda its fine. Its all so weird bc theres no competition between the two. There never was. I dont think they actually like thrud for her character they just want to be weirdos and i feel kinda bad for her and mina bc they really dont give a fuck. Im so shocked chris sunny and others even INTERACT with this bullshit of a fandom they are all really strong bc id say fuck all of you and go 😭 im not against criticism at all and i try not to take this shit seriously but its hard when you see a insane group of people take alot of this shit to the next level. this fandom is a bunch of whiny babies who hold onto their precious destroyer too much. The hate everyone has gotten recently is just so stupid and they often times try to make it their goal to hate. I see that SMS is trying to diverge their fandom to a broader audience and they are taking a bit more risks esp with atreus and i love that despite the backlash against him, they continued with his character regardless. I hope they do the same thing with the other characters as well and expand them no matter how much these people want to hate and act all high and mighty. I can understand certain critiques like the ending being too fast or maybe they couldve done blah blah better and whatnot but i think alot of people are overreacting and being ridiculously nitpicky with alot of things when it comes to ragnarok. 

Last thing and also kinda random thing SMS is very wrong for what they did to TC Carson and i acknowledge that completely and i hope they never do smth like that to any of the current cast either bc i would be fucking pissed if so LOL

I forgot what i already talked about and what I havent, so im sorry if im repeating myself.

Edama is super close with their cousins, and all four of them wear bracelets made of stardust they collected beside the Beanbean Mushroom border, so that no matter how far apart they are, they'll always have something to remember each other by. Edama has theirs on their left hand, and Mario's kids have their ones on their right hand.

Being a royal, Edama got to meet lots of other species from other Kingdoms. Luigi and Mario convince their spouses to organise the trips so both royal families go together. Edama loves the Cap kingdom, and has gotten lost in the fog a few times. They also like the sunny weather of Isle Delfino and Sarasaland, even if the latter is a bit too dry. And while they enjoy the calm vibes of Pi'illo island, they feel uneasy sleeping there after hearing about Antasma.

Daisy loves to tease Eddy (nicknames are her live language). She calls herself their Auntie Daisy and is still super close with Luigi and Peasley. And she loves how Eddy is so keen to listen to her rambling about how good she is at sports. Peasley sorta just has this "oh really is that true?" Air to him, leading them to compete to prove her (exaggerated) stories true. Eddy finds this hilarious. Luigi just hopes that they will still be friends.

Another royal Ed's close with is Bowser Jr, but i think i talked about that. I think Luigi eventually deals with King Boo, so theres no worry about him. Until Edama and their cousins sneak into the old mansion, and King Boo latches onto Edama. Luigi finds out where all the kids snuck to and (rightfully) terrified, he rushes to the mansion to find them. He finds Edama curled up in a corner, surrounded by ghosts of all kinds. They search for Mario's kids together. That is when Edama finally learns to control their powers to attract ghosts, and can choose whether or not they see and hear ghosts.

Growing up, Edama loved the idea of wishes, and the fact that their papas basically wished them into existence (that plus science) made them feel super special and happy

This paragraph gets super sad so heads up. However after the events of the AU, with the invader Shroobulus (basically a Shroob that was experimented on so much it got upgraded and is now super stronk) wrecking so much havoc, has broken their faith and hope. They no longer believe they were born from a wish upon the Beanstar, they dont believe in wishes at all. Sure if wishes could come true, then why didn't their wishes for peace come true?
