I swear people say Moffat was a bad dw showrunner because they watched sherlock and didn't watch 12's era

yeah no literally. the example i always use is hbomberguy because like. i love his videos i think he's hilarious and incredibly smart but i just think he's so fucking wrong about the twelfth doctor i can't even rewatch his sherlock video or any of his doctor who related content because i disagree so strongly on how he interprets that era

#i think the best way to watch 12 era is to not allow yourself to apply sherlock logic to it.#i mean that so sincerely. like those shows have different rules and logics that are not consistent with each other #like sure they were written partly concurrently and have some similar issues at times #but even when moffat's uhh. problems. bleed through. into dr who. it's different logic. and moffat knows that!#if you make the mistake of applying sherlock moffat to doctor who moffat then of course it's gonna suck #and again 12 era has its problems i will be the first to tell you that #but no more than any other doctor who era. it's not any less irredeemable than any other era you guys just all think yr too cool for it #in terms of characterization arcs and narrative themes it's incredibly consistent and well done. sorry!#doctor who #delia.txt
