I love when someone calls a gamer out for being homophobic in why they don’t like characters like Astarion and Zevran because 90% of the time they get sooo defensive about it and make shit up about said character to make it seem like their dislike isn’t based in them being campy men. Very rarely do I see these gamers have a reason beyond “well, he tried to kill me! And he’s flirtatious and snide!” And it’s like, yeah those can be legitimate reasons for not liking the character, but then they finish their rant with how they killed them and how the sexy woman character who does the same thing is better because “at least I’m attracted to her.”
