tbh in most of the episodes people get really angry at iris about and cite for why shes a horrible character, i think shes just flat out in the right, like not “equally at fault” i think she’s just right to act the way she does most of the time. like in some cases she could tone it down bc of flanderization in later episodes, which ive mentioned before, but overall shes justified

#like in the decolore episode where they fight? ash instigated the entire thing and evenbefore the first offense was a dick to her #about enjoying the sights. then he got knocked into her. which led to the accident during the dunsparce thing #and yeah they were accidents but he kept acting like a dick and refused to apologize for crushing her flowers #then when he gave her the bad berry he doubled down and said she was a brat making problems out of nothing #and even after realizing ''hey wait shes right i DID hurt her'' he still goes ''but she yelled at me so shes still wrong''#and like i cant get mad at her for yelling when ash has been a dick to her unprompted the whole day #ntm he laughed at her and mocked her for getting sick off the berry when he KNEW they were in a sensitive spot #he wasnt let off the hook during the episode he was held accountable but i dont thinkiris shouldve even had to apologize for much #all she did was reasonably snap when pushed to her limit. like its apalling how ppl cite this episode for why shes a bad person #like yes ash's actions were largely accidents but he made the issue worse by doubling down and mocking her and refusing to apologize #when she was very obviously hurt #echoed voice #pokeani lb
