#random rant but i was going through the bsd tag and someone made a 'call-out' post about dazai being an abuser manipulator etc etc#and i was like yeah okay fair he is those things we've been over this before he's one of my favourite characters#like i kin and simp for that bitch but i ain't gonna ignore the fact that he abused aku and continues to kick him around even when hes#not in the pm anymore. but like this person used the term gaslight and idk i'm just sick of people using that word as a sub for lying#they also mentioned how dazai being bisexual also sucked and i- what??#and that hes a he/they nb?? idk and someone in the notes was like HES A STRAIGHT MAN STFU#(thats incorrect though the 'i have no such tastes in men line' was translated incorrectly for some reason idk)#i went through op's blog and they were talking about how dazai's problematic and panphobic#(is it bc they think hes bi?? hes not a canon het but he isnt a canon bi either plus the fact that being bi isnt panphobic & vice versa)#op also has a thing against dazai kinnies but dude as a dazai kinnie its only cuz he uses humor to cope not cuz we're abusers or killers lol#anyways most of the dazai critical stuff was about how he isn't a perfect angel and?? isn't that obvious???#most ppl including ke probably love dazai too much but i think it's rare for someone to genuinely believe hes a good person#yeah hes trying but hes also failing at a lot of aspects and im pretty sure most dazai stans recognize this??#like dude almost every character in bsd is morally grey or evil as shit and dazai isn't an exception. pretty sure most ppl understand that#idk i just thought it was so bizarre (but not enough to put this rant in an actual post instead of the notes)#btw if ur reading this op (or the person who replied) id rather not argue about this i dont have the energy#dont take this as a personal attack or anything i just thought it was really weird lol#also the grammar here is very fucky bc well tumblr tags
