One other thing I love about it is that Caliburn is one of the few characters that can match Sonic's wit, and it's so interesting to see how annoyed Sonic gets at that. "That dang sword" got under his skin, and the results are very entertaining. It's always interesting to see how he reacts when something throws him off.

This game is often mocked and disregarded by many, but it has possibly the best/most faithful characterization of Sonic throughout the entire series. From his humor to his determination to not back down from what he believes in. It’s all perfectly done in a way that makes Sonic extremely likeable and interesting. He’s even voiced very well in this game too! However, many people just see Sonic wielding a sword and choose to laugh at it.
