I don't know how they'd justify another season set in Port Townsend (coughVancouvercough) but there are multiple minor characters I'd love to see again. Tragic Mick, obviously, but also WTF was up with Asha the Shopkeeper? And I'd love to meet the Washerwoman again.

18. 🎬: Are there any characters from any cartoons/TV shows/movies/games/other media that remind you of your OC or that helped inspire you to make your OC? If so, what qualities do they share with your OC?
19. 💫: What is your OC’s favorite place to visit on Popstar?
20. 🥀: What is your OC’s favorite kind of flower/plant?
21. ⏳: How old is your OC? If they don’t have a specific numerical age, feel free to just give an age range instead (child, teen, young adult, older adult, etc.)
22. 👻: Has your OC ever been possessed or mind controlled? If yes, how did it happen?
23. 👊: What would a boss fight against your OC look like? What attacks would they use and why would they be fighting Kirby?
24. 😴: If your OC could pick one of the Star Allies Dream Friends to go on an adventure with them, who would they pick and why?
25. ⭐️: If your OC could pick a final weapon from any game to use (such as the Star Rod, Crystal Gun, Triple Star Cane, etc.) which one would they choose and why?

The weirdness of high school.
And university too maybe.
Plus or minus med school. But not residency. Watching THis is Us and other bingeable shows recently.
There's a lot of flash backs and flash forwards in the show.
There's the high school ones, which like all TV shows is very stereotype'd. They go to an alumni event, and the nerdy girl now surgeon is estactic to hang out with the former football star/cool guy. Who is very thick.
I was a super weird, nerdy, socially awkward kid. Afraid of a lot of social things, but not afraid of science, history anything academic or what I looked like. I wore oversized sweats all day everyday. I never knew how to say the right things or act in a crowd. I hated crowds. 2 or 3 close friends was great, and the best I could muster. I was terrified of their parents.
But funnily enough, I never knew I was weird. I wasn't unhappy either.
I liked having 2-3 close friends, nothing more or less.
Then close to graduation, one of the guidance counselors (the non-crazy one) said to me, she didn't have a great high school experience either. But it gets better after high school. I'll see. It took me years as a teenager to understand what she meant.
Later on I realized that other people felt sorry for me. Thinking because I didn't have the stereotype of the great high school experience I was some how sad, ashamed, unhappy.
Ironically I never even thought about it and was actually happy in my own world and space. I had my separate universe in academics. Like it never dawned on me that I was missing out on anything.
I felt embarassed, in a strange way as an adult reflecting on those experiences. Slightly embarassed for me, but more embarrassed for the small town/city around me. I did not fit in that place, but I didn't know it either back then or didn't care to. We were very much ships passing in the night. I didn't and don't hate where I grew up, I actually loved it in my own way. I got a great education there, and it got me where I wanted to go.
Looking back, plenty of kids probably made underhanded mean comments or passive aggressive statements - but it all went over my head. I suppose I would have been unhappy, had I read between the lines back then. Someone even stole my math text the week of the math exam, but I was actually flattered. That hey, someone thought I was that smart (imposter syndrome starts when you're young). It was one of the best days of my life.
It was also hilarious to me then, that stealing the text of one of the nerds during exam week would sabotage anything - because they spend their entire free time studying the whole year. They don't cram. Cramming was a terrible habit I acquired in university/undergrad. In med school, I'd fail exams because I crammed.
Another time I had left my draft math home work in a common room table, a classmate told me (2 weeks after the fact) that 5-6 different kids grabbed it and copied it. unfortunately for them, it was a draft full of errors, so I completely disregarded as trash. the final copy I submitted with the correct formulae was substantially different. Our math teacher of course realized that everyone had the same errors, but couldn't figure out the source. No one ever said anything mean or confronting, so it wasn't hard to brush aside. they self-sabotaged themselves, nothing actually happened to me.
Again, it was like we lived on different planets. Had they asked, I probably would have helped them out, I didn't get the grades I got by myself either. My far smarter co-nerd friends taught me a lot. On the other hand, I was intensely shy, they probably interpreted it as being "aloof." Or worse, condescending.
I'd felt my entire time during school, that it was the path to something else. I wouldn't get there till about 10-15 years later. Maybe even 20. It was a means to an end. If I was going to be working, then I wanted that work to have meaning. Or what would the point of all those hours. My parents worked in jobs they grew to hate to just go home and be tired.
Med school was a bit like high school. After the first few months of first year, i spent most of it hiding from other med students. (They were fucking crazy, a good chunk of them although not all, the anxiety, stress, competitiveness, the back stabbing, entitlement and bravado --> by the way, people do mature and get better. of course not all them do. anyhoo).
It was after selecting a vocation and starting residency that I found "home." Where I suddenly was comfortable having more than 2-3 friends and happy to be in crowds. Because everyone in the crowd was pretty much like me. We wanted to talk about all the same things. Maybe I grew more comfortable in my own skin along the way too.
But you know, it wasn't me that need to grow and change. I had found the environment where I finally could be myself in.

JM live 1 September 2023 20:54 or 8:54 pm KST
And a little big about JK's same day live as well.
Part 2
Cr./To creators of content used in this post.
I'm going to dive right in.
Also, not everything I talk about is in the order it's brought up in the live. Just saying. These are ramblings of a blurry mind. Well, sharp and blurry. Just the right combination I say.
Let's talk about the apartment tour, lol.
JM, the master of privacy.
The man that wouldn't even show us his TV, only a cropped screenshot of it when congratulating JK on Dreamers.
The man that over the past close to 2 years since the hiatus, has done every live but one (the Billboard #1) from the company.
Yes, that man.
He not only went live from home (unplanned, which I discussed partially and will probably talk about again later on), from a room we got to see in his previous single home live, but he actually gave us a house tour. Well, somewhat of a house tour. A house ceiling tour with a couple of exceptions, lol.
This tour is divided into 2 parts.
First part was initiated by JM.
And this is important. Because it differentiates between perhaps more pre-thought of and less pre-thought of (more of a spur of the moment thing).
So, after mentioning JK (and reading out the hand comment) JM thinks of this:
Tumblr media
JM wanting to show us his mood lamp. His planet mood light.
Tumblr media
You know what I'm talking about, right? The one with that huge ass sun just right in your face.
He tells us how he simply came to meet us today and he has something to brag about.
Now let's wait up a minute.
He simply came to meet us on JK's birthday adorning his big ass watch starting the live at the time stamp JK was born, like time started counting from that minute and on (for him at least), and now he wants to brag about something that his friend laughed at him about (a grown man sleeping with a mood lamp), which happens to have the sun up front and centre, all huge in it's full glory, for him to fall asleep with (me continuing his story: when his bf isn't or can't be there by his side to fall asleep with).
Yep. All of that!
Ok, so JM is walking around, taking us to what is clearly his bedroom, camera at ceiling because his place is too dirty (his words) as he wasn't planning to go live from home (funny how plans change). He repeats it btw. Saying "I really didn't intend to."
Pause a second (we might be doing this more than once today). This is me just going back for a second to that same point I made in part 1. JM was not going to do the live from home. He doesn't say he wasn't going to do a live. He says he wasn't going to do a live form home.
JM takes us to his bedroom.
Who would have believed this day would come?
And if talking about not believing a day will come, perhaps me jumping the gun here, but can't hold back the excitement, what about this coming from JM?
Tumblr media
Can't say I'm not shocked.
But then, maybe, just maybe, a little of his bf is rubbing off on him? And maybe, just maybe there is a reason for his sudden openness with us?
Anyway, back to JM's bedroom.
What's this now?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not sure if he intended for us to see this, but we even got a peak at his bed for a millisecond... shock and awe...
*And kind of a downer for those that thought the snore in the dark was JK sleeping in bed. here is bed. Empty. Made. No JK. I guess you win some you lose some, lol.
Now this is where I got a little confused first time watching this. I actually thought that JM took the lamp from his bedroom to another room so to not be in his bedroom. Cause he sits down, fiddles around with something. Then gets up again and walks around, camera at ceiling (which was very confusing). But watching it a second and third time I think that he was setting the lamp up, connecting it perhaps, and then got up to close all the doors (bedroom door, bathroom door, closet door and who knows what other door) to go dark so we can see the beautiful projection.
And him having to connect the lamp, does it kinda maybe mean that he doesn't use it every night, mainly because who needs to fall asleep looking at the picture of the sun when the sun is right besides you in bed? Food for thought.
This is what he shows us at first.
Tumblr media
He then turns the camera around to show other planets. But he always goes back to the sun. And makes sure to explain to us that it is the sun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And while, once more, focusing on the sun says: "It's pretty, right?"
It definitely is.
Tumblr media
And when he does his whole foot up in the air (I don't think he was pointing, because when he wanted to point he did it with his finger, pointing at the sun) caressing or whatever you want to think he was actually doing, it's with the sun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know what came to mind first thing I saw this?
JM and his love for playing footsies with JK.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, and if I'm already going down memory lane, we have JK too.
Tumblr media
Back to business.
I find it funny how JM on the one hand says multiple times he wanted to brag to us about the lamp, and then says it's embarrassing that a man nearing 30 sleeping with a lamp. And he talks about the friend appalled by it, lol. That a guy who lives alone (he repeats this) sleeps with a lamp. I guess that when you can't have the sun with you then a projection of it on the ceiling has to do.
JM adds: "these days I look at the ceiling and space out" - looks at the lamp projection that is. And when he says "these days", once again I'm thinking of it being due to JK's clearly super busy schedule.
So yeah, that was more or less part one of JM's house tour.
At this point JM turns off the light and walks back to the PC room (still only letting us see the ceiling as he is moving through the house).
He sits back down and tells us he is living his life like this.
Tumblr media
He's sitting there reading comments for a few seconds and then he reads this one out:
Tumblr media
Welcome to part 2 of the house tour, lol.
He straight away says: "you can see the secret room", grabs the camera and off he goes (again camera at ceiling of course), and asks himself "what are some things I can show?", while obviously there is still very much more that he doesn't want us to see.
He says "I will show just this one then", following by saying he really didn't want to show "my room", and then we are in his gym.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shows us his treadmill, tells us "this is my secret room...right here."
So, let's pause for a second here before we move on.
JM clearly decided it's time to share with us (without saying it out loud) that he is boxing. A lot. The hands (he left raw for all to see) and showing us his gym as well.
JM has a punching bag at home.
No biggie, right?
He has a full proper gym at home, much like Tae does, and most likely the others too, well most of the others, because JK doesn't. JK, until a short while ago, didn't have any workout equipment at home. Let alone a punching bag. THE boxer in the group does not have a punching bag at home. And do we talk about the fact that all of his workout equipment, the little that he does have, is in his lounge room? I digressed. As usual. Anyway, now we know for sure (as if we didn't before) that JM is clearly boxing, and all that is left to see is his set of boxing gloves.
And then, JM goes to show us his dad's bedroom, for when he visits him. JM asks himself if there is anything he can show us from dad's room, answering "vacuum cleaner".
Tumblr media
JM walks out of that last room, he looks around, nods with his head (looked like he was contemplating something but decided on NOPE), and walks back to the PC room.
End of house tour.
While on the way there he tells us how his parents "came over to my house and said this..."your house really has nothing, it's like a model house. It doesn't seem like a person lives here. Do you want us to change a bit?".
Ok, so JM's been living in that apartment at the very latest since May 2021. Over 2 years!! And in that time his parents must have visited multiple times. We know at least of once back in October 2021, so a long time ago. JM isn't telling us when exactly this was said to him, and timing, my friends, is everything. There is a before and an after that might be going on here. And It's kind of curious how at this point in time both JM's place and JK's place are lacking in the feeling of a home in the true sense of it. Lacking in adding their little personal touch to the place. Giving them both, at this point, the feel of these places being a temporary fix. Just until perhaps a certain 5 story house is built.
Do I address the marimo discussion and how it turned into a Suga discussion? Was that JM shutting down Yoonminers? Lol.
JM reads out a comment "I miss Jin and Jhope" and tells us he's thinking of going to visit them.
JM continues to read through the comments and reacts to them, this is around the 29 min. mark. You think the hand comments don't continue again? Like he hasn't addressed it 10 times already during this live. He smiles through it, but seriously!!!!
One comment has him giggling : "In my last dream you went out with me but I got dumped". Lmao. At least they were being realistic. His answer was: "I'm sorry. It wasn't intentional". Ehm, excuse me, but to me dumping feels very intentional. Lol.
Tumblr media
One of the most annoying comments, well in my humble opinion, was the one asking him why the chocolate factories have closed. Poor man was waiting and waiting on a reply on that one, so much so he was putting off finishing the live, he was seriously curious, only to have this stupid ass punch line about him being sweet. From the expression on his face when he finally read the answer he was probably thinking "this is what I was waiting for?", lol.
JM's asked about his skin care routine to which he answers: "it's nothing, I just wash up, and I just apply it on my face. Just the cream". Thing is later on as he's closing up he says he has to go wash up but:
Tumblr media
Curious.
Didn't he just tell us all about it earlier? Or was this him just being cheeky?
JM tells us he goes for a run in the middle of the night and runs into RM.
Tumblr media
Quite interesting that the first time he noticed RM's poster was almost 2 weeks after it was placed there. Especially now that we know from him he's out jogging every night. Was he possibly away for a while? Perhaps not alone?
JM was asked about dramas he's watched and answered he hasn't watched many lately.
Tumblr media
I guess JK being busy is the cause for that. We know for a fact that they watch shows together.
Then he's asked "show your 7 tattoos", to which JM answers:
Tumblr media
"You saw it yesterday. Photos went up. Really...I saw that...Definitely...I'm an anchovy." giggle giggle giggle. "Anchovy...phew..." giggle..."just laugh at it and move on..."
Lol, I'm sure he's also referring to him standing on his tippie toes for the pose, trying to seem bigger and taller than he is.
Now wait a second here.
The comment asked him to show his 7 tattoos. Not "show your moon tattoo". Not "show your back tattoo". Clear as day talking about his 7 tattoos, and JM was the one to read it out!!!
So, obviously that riske (not really, but clearly an eye opener) photo he posted for JK's birthday was on his mind. Or is it more so that JK is on his mind?
JM's told he needs to sleep well. The man says it's rare, but he actually slept well today. Usually when he has schedules he doesn't sleep well. But:
Tumblr media
I guess something, or someone, helped tire him out.
And yes, I can hear the guys on the balcony with the "if he slept so much he couldn't have been with JK". Yeah-nah. Have we not seen these guys schedules? Did I not talk about it in part 1? Night and day are non existent. JM slept 8 to 9 hours and came out - to his schedule, in the evening. These two go to sleep in the morning and wake up at noon. Even in JM's last live, when he was talking about having a proper schedule, including a proper sleep schedule, he was talking about sleeping in late. So no, him sleeping properly doesn't rule out them spending the night together. JM doesn't tell us when he went to sleep or when he woke up. Actually, the way he words it, it's more like he slept till late and woke up in time for his Dior schedule.
Pretty much this was where JM was wanting to end the live.
Tumblr media
And starts to sum it up.
After a few more comments JM winds it up saying his goodbyes.
Tumblr media
And that was the end of JM's live on JK 's birthday.
Oh, btw, remember I said that when I first saw JM's live photo I mistook it for JK? How those pants seemed a little big on him? Well came across this today:
Tumblr media
I'm not 100% sold those are the exact pair of pants, but they sure look similar. And even if they aren't same pants, well my point in part 1 was proven - the pants being exactly the style that JK wears.
I had one more thing I wanted to talk about, which I'm not sure about, but thought it would be good to mention.
About the 12 minute mark JM is talking about taking lessons in English. And he was saying it's hard but he has to force himself to do it, cause otherwise he won't do it. And then he talks about how people get lazy and gives an example. And here is where I found something a little curious. There I go with that word again.
The word of the day: Curious.
Anyway, JM gives an example. And he words it like this:
"You know there is this. I came home as it is like this... It's 9:07... I think that I should wash up at 9:30... But we don't wash up... And later, when it's 1 in the morning... I should really wash up. To sleep...I must wash up. You also know this happens".
And he's giggling the whole time.
Did you notice? The switch from I to we?
Now, it could be him talking about him and us, but I kind of don't think it was, as he starts with I and goes to we and then back to I.
It could also definitely be a slip of the tongue.
You know who the we he might be talking about is. That plus one that turns I to we. That certain plus one that has told us on multiple occasions how he dislikes to wash up before sleep, delaying the inevitable as much as possible, also using that term lazy with regards to it.
Just thought I'd share this little thing I notices with you guys before I finish up with this post.
I feel like this part of my post is a little more all over the place (a bit like JM perhaps, lol). Maybe a little too much blurry and not enough sharp, lol. But hey, I guess it is what it is.
So, we had JK doing the short live nothing like his usual birthday lives, and then later in the day JM coming live, unplanned. Well more so unplanned from home. Could they have been planning to do a live together at Hybe? Could JK have been planning to and asked JM to go live in his place seeing he's held up?
Who knows.
What I do hope is that next time it's not going to be the two live on the same day, but rather the two live same day same time same place.
Tumblr media
Here's wishing.

"We're all mad here" 🐇👸🔫🐯
Tumblr media
Pro
The famous massage intro
Sulu and McCoy taking a lovely little walk together
Sulu is such a botany nerd; I love these small character moments
McCoy thinking he's loosing his last marbles
Spock literally thinking that humans go on shore leave to run up and down meadows like dogs
The way Kirk smiles when he thinks Bones is pranking him is lovely
Kirk's facial journey when he realizes McCoy and Spock played him
The first time Kirk calls McCoy Bones
The way the running is filmed and the way they run – and boy do they run in this episode
Sulu, gun enthusiast
The easy friendship between Kirk and McCoy- the way they joke and laugh with each other is so beautiful
McCoy is so beautiful in this episode, I could screenshot every second. He smiles so much and is so at ease, I mean
Tumblr media
Continuing what we know from E3 Kirk wasn't the super cool Bro at the academy but actually the bookworm people bullied
Kirk saying that Ruth hasn't aged a day since they last were together ages ago, and the actress being the same age as Shatner when we see her... canon Kirk being into older woman okay.
McCoy rolled a natural 20 on charisma
me @ yeoman Borrows being super into McCoy's flirting: same girl same
Also I actually like that for once McCoy is the one having a little romance and getting to flirt / be desired, which is rare (because he's older and not the leading man; Tumblr, of course, disagrees)
every time the tiger is on screen I remember that Shatner literally wanted to fight it and it makes me laugh
fake character death trope! (also Bones is a beautiful corpse)
Spock like no offence lady, I'm to gay for this, Spock out
“Did you have fun guys?” “Yes we did Mr Spock” wink emoji implied, like you guys know it sounds like you had group sex right
the setting and scenery is beautiful and a nice change
the score underlines the whimsy and lightness of the episode
the premise is so silly but works well. I miss episodes like this on modern TV, just some downtime with no large scale danger, war or plot, just silly crew shenanigans that gives us more time to spend with our guys
sometimes Sci-fi has great special effects, and sometimes they just hold an antenna really close to the camera and call it a day and I love that
Tumblr media
I'm Yeoman Borrows; Look at him being all happy
Con
McCoy's death has no lasting impact on anyone, it's just a short time plot device and then gets shelved for more adventure / silly time; Even though he does come back, I wish it wouldn't have been so trivialized here
weird wind chime sound effects of the planet
Finnegan as a character is super obnoxious and too over the top (which is saying something in the episode with Alice in wonderland)
especially the second confrontation takes ages, especially as we now have more pressing matters in the narrative
treatment of yeoman Borrows (We already know weird things are going on based on what McCoy saw, yet Kirk doesn't believe her and shows zero empathy towards her distress), also her main purpose is damsel in distress
Kirk is a bit slow to unravel the mystery and almost stupid at times? It might be excused by him using the opportunity to let go of his responsibility and being with Angela / letting out his anger with Finnegan
the amount of references and jumping between visions is too jumbled and all over the place, which is why the pacing is off. some bits are so short, they'd better be cut (Rodriguez side adventure) and some just go on (Finnegan)
Tumblr media
Counter: Shirt rip Kirk
Quote: "You've got your problems, I've got mine. But he's got ours, plus his, plus 430 other people" - McCoy about Kirk Moment: Opening Scene, where Kirk thinks Spock is massaging him and being super uncomfortable when its a female crew member
Summary: Silly and light episode with no deeper meaning but some great character moments, funny scenes and further development of the interpersonal relationships
Tumblr media
In another universe this is a classical painting

Ultra’s Ramblings; Let’s Make Prehistoric Planet Season 2!
Tumblr media
(Recommended listening)
As many of you know, I’m a huge (and when I say huge, I mean HUGE) fan of Prehistoric Planet. This series, which came out back last year, has become a titanosaur-sized success for Apple TV+, so much so that it was one of the most popular shows watched on any streaming service in 2022 (and even for months too!). Its use of up-to-date science, along with excellent narration by the legendary Sir David Attenborough, top-notch music, portrayal of its subjects as actual animals with complex and speculative behaviors, use of CGI in real environments, etc, has caused people to consider it the best piece of paleomedia in the last 20 years, along with it winning plenty of awards lately (just like with any banger BBC nature documentary worth their salt). With all of that said, it’s obvious to say that the fans want a second season of this show, myself included. Darren Naish, the series’ scientific consultant, has gone on record and said that he would be on board for making another season. Obviously, given how much time and effort went into making the first season, it might take a few years before we might get another season. I never would’ve expected to be excited for a show that has the same guy who directed the much-mangled 2019 remake of The Lion King, but if your show manages to wow thousands of people across the world, you know you’ve got yourself a hit on your hands.
Now, with all of that said, I feel like I should do something with my personal idea for what a hypothetical second season of PHP could be like, and there are some ground rules to lay out before we dive into the 5 episodes that I worked on. For starters, similar to how Season 1 was set entirely within the Maastrichtian (The very last part of the Cretaceous that lasted from 72 to 66 million years), this second season is set during the previous age before the Masstrichtian; the Campanian. Lasting from 83 to 72 million years, the Campanian has plenty of the same megafauna that its successor had; clades of dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and marine reptiles like tyrannosaurs, ceratopsians, azhdarchids, hadrosaurs, mosasaurs, etc, along with various other groups of animals. The second rule that I wanna bring up is the theme of each episode. Season 1’s episodes were all based around a respective biome (Coasts, Deserts, Freshwater, Ice Worlds, and Forests), while Season 2 is gonna be based each of its own 5 episodes off of respective CONTINENTS.
Yeah, I’m going with these two important rules to differentiate this season from its official counterpart. And that’s not all. All 5 episodes would also be accompanied with their own Uncovered segments, just like the 5 official ones that go along with their respective episodes. The goal of these behind-the-scenes extras is to explain the science behind the stories, comparing the dinosaurs and their kin to modern animals for how the showrunners came up with the ideas that they added in. Two more things that I wanna bring up before we begin is that many of the segments are gonna be based around non-dinosaurian animals. While there were dinosaurs in the PREHISTORIC Planet, a common complaint from fans is that there weren’t enough of the non-saurian fauna in the show. I plan to fix that by adding in creatures from many other groups of animals; Crocodilians, sharks, ammonites, mammals, a species of giant, ground-dwelling bird, turtles, etc. That way, the ecosystem can feel more diverse. The last thing before we start is how I want to give a huge shout-out to the fine folks at the Paleo Media Central Discord server. I asked them if they could bring in additional input, and they certainly delivered.. With all of that outta the way, we can now begin our hypothetical safari into the Campanian wilderness to see what a second season to Prehistoric Planet could look like!
North America
The episode (And by extension, the entire season) starts off with a segment about a Sauronitholestes courting a mate during the warmer months of his Arctic home. Taking some notes from many different species of birds of paradise (The appropriate comparison here would be the black sicklebill). Similar to the Carnotaurus from Season 1, the music would really pop, showing how expressing and vibrant these creatures are. The female, however, wouldn’t be interested at first, so the male has to keep pestering her more and more, until she finally gets interested.
We then cut to an Edmontonia going through a swamp to look for new plant growth. As the armored giant goes about his day, the segment focuses on other residents of the swamp. Creatures like Didelphodon, Champsosaurus, and Basilemys all make appearances as they go about their day. The Edmontonia would be like a hippo; a large, heavily-armed herbivore that eats water plants.
After that, the episode then shows a segment about flocks of male Geosternbergia having to fly to sea in order to get food for their chicks, while needing to avoid the jaws of predatory sharks like Cretoxyrhina. Not only is this segment based off of male emperor penguins having to do the same thing, all while avoiding leopard seals, there has been fossil evidence of Cretoxyrhina feeding on pterosaurs, with a fossilized vertebrae of a Pteranodon being found with a tooth belonging to one of these prehistoric sharks. Another point to bring up is that this segment is also based on cut content  for the Alcione segment from Season 1, with whole flocks of pterosaurs diving down into the ocean to catch fish. Just thought it would be cool to use scrapped ideas for this whole thing.
With the previous scene done, we then focus on a Diabloceratops partaking in a dirt bath to rid himself of any parasites that would hinder his chances of attracting a mate. Many modern animals, including bison and turkeys, do this same behavior, so it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to say that non-avian dinosaurs, especially large ceratopsians, would do the same. As I was writing this part, I’ve recently found out that such a behavior was almost added into the show proper, with a Pachyrhinosaurus rolling around in an ash bath. That was in an early draft of the burnt forest segment from “Forests”, so it’s interesting to see one of my own ideas be almost perfectly similar to one that was ultimately cut from the original show.
We then cut across the WIS to Appalachia, where a mother Appalachiosaurus teaches her young how to hunt for themselves, with the family targeting a stray Hypsibema. However, she gets more than she bargained for, as the hadrosaur she and her young are hunting turns out to be a powerhouse in his own right. The tyranosaurs, having failed to take the Hypsibema down, decide to look for food elsewhere.
The episode then cuts to a female Deinosuchus bringing her hatchlings into the world - except there are also Bothremys in it, as one laid her own eggs in the nest, similar to what certain turtles and birds do to get protection they otherwise would never have. (credit goes to NATY on the Paleo Media Central Discord server for suggesting Deinosuchus)
The episode then ends on Appalachia’s southern coast, with a Tylosaurus feeding on the corpse of a dead hadrosaur that has been swept out to sea at sunset. As he feeds on a chunk of the dead dinosaur, the mosasaur is accompanied by smaller animals that want to either gain protection or scraps of food from the predator as he swims away with his prize, displaying an example of large marine animals being accompanied by smaller species. Schools of Pachyrhizodus surround the giant, easily drifting on the currents that his massive body makes by simply swimming, while a few Hesperornis hunt some of the Enchodus that swarm over to the giant lizard. Similar to the Mosasaurus from the first season, the Tylosaurus is presented as a peaceful gentle giant that’s minding his business. Schools of ammonites, very similar to the Scaphitids from Season 1, make background appearances,  along with an Archelon just cruising below the mosasaur.
North America- Uncovered; The nature of Tylosaurus swimming with other animals is discussed, showing such interactions between species in real life, with examples like whale sharks, green sea turtles, dugongs, and manta rays being used. The nature and history of the Western Interior Seaway is also discussed in full detail, along with fossils of dead dinosaurs that have drifted far out to sea, only to be picked on by scavengers.
Eurasia
Similar to the Diabloceratops and Geosternbergia segments from the previous episode, this next one starts with another idea that was originally planned for the show, but was ultimately cut; Raptors hunting pachycephalosaurs. The focus of this segment is an old Goyocephale, who, after going away from his group, has to run from and eventually try to defend himself against a group of Velociraptors (A returning face from Season 1). The whole feel of this chase is akin to the visual image of a cheetah chasing a gazelle. While the lone bull is an experienced fighter, his old age, along with the raptors making clever use of the jagged cliffs and canyons of their desert home with their feathers, ultimately leads to him tiring out and facing his attackers in one last, losing battle.
The episode then cuts to France, where we focus on a male Arcovenator, looking to build a nest to court a female. Similar to male satin bowerbirds, the male looks for objects of the same color that he could use to attract a mate (In this case, yellow). Things like leaves, rocks, berries, slime mold-covered logs, etc. All of these yellow items are gathered by the Arcovenator to make the perfect nest…only for him to deal with the threat of a rival male stealing some of his nest material. This leads to a territorial display, where both males whip out their flashy displays to scare each other off (Think something like a red-winged blackbird), tiny arms included. It would essentially be a more tense version of the Carnotaurus segment from Season 1, only this time, the lead male succeeds in scarring off his rival.
A scene about Shantungosaurus and Sinoceratops then plays, highlighting a massive migration of these two massive plant-eaters as a major part. The herd is depicted as an unstoppable tank, making their way through anything that dares to step into their migration route, from trees to other animals. Even predators like Zhuchengtyrannus would think twice before taking on a herd of the largest hadrosaur species known to science. The only time where these predators would ever stand a chance against even one of these behemoths would be attacking the young, old, or ill, with a sick male Shantungosaurus struggling to keep up. After weeks of travel, no thanks to his sickness kicking in for the worst, the sick male Shantungosaurus would fall behind, with the pack of Zhunchengtyrannus’ patience finally paying off, and the rest of the herd leaving the male behind.
We then cut to the waters of what will become Sweden, where the focus of this next segment is about Eonatator, a small species of mosasaur. Given how small these creatures are, especially when compared to their much larger relatives living in the open ocean, they’re depicted living in coastal waters, feeding on schools of fish, even chasing whole swarms onto the beach like how certain pods of bottlenose dolphins intentionally beach themselves to trap their prey onto land. This is further helped by how likely mosasaurs are to have the same levels of intelligence as monitor lizards, as the latter are considered to be some of the smartest reptiles on the planet today.
We then return to the swampy badlands of Mongolia, where male Pinacosaurus pelt each other with their tail clubs over mates and territory. The practice of ankylosaurs using their clubbed tails for such fights has been suggested by paleontologists for a good while now, as it’s similar to how deer use their antlers for the same purposes. For an added kick of speculation, the male Pinacosaurus could have brightly-colored tail clubs, an adaptation used for attracting mates and scarring off rivals. They even come equipped with inflatable nose-sacks for display, similar to what male frigatebirds do with their brightly red throatsacks. Other animals like Protoceratops, Citipati, and Halszkaraptor make background appearances, all watching the battle between the male Pinacosaurus.
The segment that follows then cuts to night, where a male Shuvuuia digs at massive termite mounds at night. While this is similar to what happened with the Mononykus from the first season, the main focus is how certain animals hunt at night, with the Shuvuuia using his large eyes to see through the dark, coming across a colony of termites hiding inside a large, dead tree.
The final segment of the episode focuses on not only a primitive, ground-dwelling bird of all things, but also the LARGEST bird of the Mesozoic in its entirety; Gargantuavis. This massive ostrich lookalike is depicted as a caring mother, looking after her eggs. For a bit of comedic effect, the Gargantuavis is shown to be a fierce mother, getting aggressive wherever anything gets as close as a few feet from her nest. Ranging from average-sized animals like Rhabodon and Allodaposuchus, to even giants like a wandering Garrigatitan, getting near the mother’s nest by accident while looking for new plant growth. The Gargantuavis even risks having her own nest get flattened by the titanosaur, causing her to get aggressive and drive the giant off, just in time for her clutch to hatch. The Gargantuavis’ nesting behavior is shown to be similar to emus, even down to the sheer aggression when defending their nests.
Eurasia- Uncovered; The science of ankylosaurs, like Pinacosaurus, using their tail clubs is discussed. While they’re normally used to defend off attacks from predators (Think T. rex vs Ankylosaurus), it could be possible that these lumbering tanks had another use for their main weapon; Territorial display for the females. After all, modern animals do something similar with their own biological weapons (Deer with their antlers, rams with their horns, ring-tailed lemurs with their musk-covered tails, etc), so it shouldn’t be too much of a stretch to say that ankylosaurs did something similar.
Africa
The episode kicks off with a scene about 2 male Rukwatitan fighting over territory during a light rainstorm. Despite being titanosaurian sauropods like the Dreadnoughtus from Season 1, these two males are alot smaller. Therefore, they’re not in as much danger from the square-cube law as their much larger, South American relatives. However, even with how smaller they both are, the male Rukwatitans still pull up quite the fight, with them slamming their necks between each other, just like giraffes.  Eventually, one is driven out after falling down to the mud with a great big splash. The rainstorm even clears up, revealing a rainbow over the winning male.
We then cut to the waters of a brackish swamp, where a female Globidens arrives from the ocean in search of food. The segment closely teases which kind of food the mosasaur is looking for, with a hint being her rounded, globe-shape teeth. As the scene tenses up, implying that the Globidens is about to snack upon a hapless turtle…only for her to dive into the sand, having a large bivalve in her jaws as she sticks her head out of the sand. It’s then where it’s revealed that the Globidens feeds on hard-shelled prey, like clams. Satisfied with her hard-earned prey, the mosasaur then swims back out to the sea.
After that, the episode then cuts to a male Araripesuchus in Madagascar looking for a good place to set up his territory. Despite belonging to a family of reptiles who are commonly seen in the water, the Araripesuchus is shown to be thriving on land. While looking for a new home, he even takes time to hunt for food, with him grabbing a large grub out of a rotten log. Before long, the male Araripesuchus finds an abandoned hole in the face of a small river. Whoever lived in it previously must’ve been forced to escape due to a recent storm. After a long day of searching, the lone male then gets to work on digging more of the hole to his own liking, ending the segment.
The episode then cuts to a mass spawning of Vulcanobatrachus at night. Similar to the Grey foam-nest tree frogs of today, this species is seen gathering in the hundreds to mate on top of a tree that towers over a lake. To protect the developing eggs from predators and the elements, the adults secrete a special kind of foam that covers the eggs, giving them protection. Vulcanobatrachus may be from the Masstrichtian, but it was dated as coming from 71 million years ago, close enough to be here.
The episode then starts a scene about Onchopristis hunting for prey at the bottom of a brackish lagoon. The coloration and behavior that it has and does makes it very comparable to the modern day largetooth sawfish. The scene will then mention that Onchopristis populations have been increasing due to the extinction of a certain predator. It’s never directly stated, but the mere mention of that particular comment implies that the scene is talking about Spinosaurus, now long-gone by the time that this scene is taking place in-universe.
Next up in the episode is a segment focusing on a species of pterosaur known as Epapatelo. This particular relative of Barbaridactylus is shown flying over stormy oceans in search of fish, similar to the Geosternbergia from “North America”. However, Epapatelo is more like the wandering albatross, flying over huge distances from its original home. Despite everything the storm throws at him, the pterosaur musters every bit of energy that he can to catch enough prey to keep him moving. While Eapapatelo is from the Maastrichtian, like with a few other animals featured in this season, it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to add them all in, as the formations they all hail from being set within the Campanian.
The episode then ends with one more segment, this one being about female Mansourasaurus laying their eggs, with the young having to survive on their own after hatching. Along the way, they deal with the threat of being eaten by lurking Wahasuchus. The hatching that do survive eventually find shelter in the form of a large forest, where they can grow and eat in peace before they grow big enough to join the adults. Yeah, this episode only has two segments dedicated to dinosaurs, but given how people have stated that the first season had little in terms of non-dinosaur life (That WEREN’T pterosaurs or marine reptiles), along with how few known dinosaur species were in Africa during the Campanian, this was what I had to work with.
Africa- Uncovered; The focus of this segment is about diving into the Rukwatitan fight, comparing sauropods to animals like giraffes, elephants, and the like, comparing how they deal with territorial disputes. Footage of the Dreadnoughtus from Season 1 even pops in, as it and Rukwatitan are both titanosaurs.
South America
The episode begins with a scene dedicated to a lone Austroraptor, the largest dromaeosaur species found in the Southern Hemisphere. This particular male is seen looking for fish in a slow-moving river, an adaptation that makes him very different from his more hawk-like relatives, which is helped by how he’s very similar to a blue heron. Due to how young he is, the Austroraptor has a hard time getting used to catching prey, made even harder by being constantly interrupted by a nearby herd of Dreadnoughtus (Another returning face from Season 1) feeding on leaves, with the broken branches falling into the river and scaring off the fish. And they’re not afraid to throw their bulk around, as they constantly ram into trees to get to more leaves, causing more branches to fall down to the river and scare the fish off. The Austroraptor calls out to the herd…only to get spooked off by one of the titanosaurs glaring at him.
The scene that plays next shows a group of strange creatures in particular; crocodilians. The whole segment is one big love-letter to many of the weird crocodilians that were around at this particular time and place, showing off the various lifestyles that they have, and comparing them to how they differ from their modern relatives. Armadillosuchus being a hardy little burrower, Sphagesaurus playing the role of a small plant-eater, Stratiotosuchus acting as the main predator (With one in particular feeding on the corpse of a dead Gondwanatitan, etc. Unlike many of the other segments, this one is based on a certain group of animals that were together in the same place. While a few segments from previous episodes respectively had crocodilians, it’s here that the croc-meter ramps up to eleven.
We then cut to a herd of Aeolosaurus looking for materials to build their nests with. Meanwhile, a lone female Bonapartenkyus is also setting up her nest. Unfortunately for her, she gets disrupted from her nest-building by the Aeolosaurus herd, who don’t even notice her most of the time. This scene is mainly played for laughs, and it definitely continues the thread of a herd of sauropods unintentionally screwing over some hapless theropod while they mind their own business.
The focus of this next segment revolves around Stegouros. This small ankylosaur is seen feasting on ferns and other plants, with a small enantiornithine bird serving as an added pair of eyes. Similar to the relationship between birds and plenty of large animals alive today, the Stegouros and the enantiornithine bird are in a symbiotic relationship; The former protects the latter, and the latter picks off any parasites that might be feeding on the former’s blood. The exact kind of symbiosis is mutualism; Both parties get something out of their relationship, helping each other in the process.
A pair of Abelisaurus take the mantle of being the focus for the next segment, just sleeping near the carcass of a dead Barrosasaurus that they happen to come across. Having eaten their fill for the time being, the couple rest for the time being. A flock of birds, attracted by the prospect of food, comes over to the two theropods in order to pick food off of their teeth, also displaying a symbiotic relationship similar to the Stegouros from the previous scene.
The next scene that plays after is about Keresdrakon, a type of pterosaur. It’s mating season, and many male Keresdrakon are courting females, except for one. The main male struggles to find a mate before the mating season ends, having to deal with rival males. Once he does find a suitable mate, the male Keresdrakon has to fight one more rival before he could court her. Similar to how many species of birds pair up for life, the male Keresdrakon and his mate stay together long after the mating season ends.
The last scene of the episode revolves around a pair of Groebertherium coming out of their burrow to forage for food at night. After making a narrow escape from a young (and hungry) Aerotitan, the pair crawl up a tree, only to look up and see the stars. Not much happens in this last segment, but what it lacks in complexity, it makes up for in sheer spectacle.
South America- Uncovered; The animal that gets discussed in this Uncovered segment is Austroraptor, along with how diverse the raptor dinosaurs could be. Given how this species appears to be a piscivore (An animal that mainly feeds on fish), Austroraptor is used as an example of the various lifestyles and niches that dromaeosaurus had, especially when they’re closely related to birds.
Poles- (Maybe the most varied episode of the lot, using fauna from both the North and South Poles)
The last episode of the season begins with Diplomoceras, the fabled “paper-clip” ammonite. It’s spawning season in the Southern Ocean, and many Diplomoceras rise from the depths to spawn. While this is happening, a few Taniwhasaurus are seen swimming around the mass spawning. While they take time to look on in curiosity, the Diplomoceras carry on with their spawning. And before anyone asks; Yes, the Diplomoceras have bioluminescence that they use for their mating displays, just like the Scaphitids from Season 1.
The episode then cuts to an area between Alaska and the North Pole, where the main animal of the segment is another familiar species from the previous season; Pachyrhinosaurus. It’s winter, and food is scarce. A herd of Pachyrhinosaurus, in an attempt to find more food, go and ram into trees. The leaves and berries that fall out due to the constant headbutting are what the herd’s looking for. This is a skill that’s become an adaptation for the herd over countless generations, with the scene showing it in action.
The next scene shown cuts to Trinisaura. While coelurosaurian theropods are the main example to turn to whenever someone thinks about feathered dinosaurs, it’s possible that many small ornithopod dinosaurs (including Kulindadromeus), had a fuzzy coat to regulate their body temperature. The Trinisaurua are shown to have fuzzy coats that they use to keep themselves warm while roaming their chilly home. They also display camouflage when hiding from a wandering Imperobator. However, the group’s camouflage is put to the test when the Imperobator is able to track one down with his powerful sense of smell. This leads into an explosive chase, with the predator being left in the dust after the individual he was chasing manages to get away, showing how most hunts fail more than they succeed.
The scene that plays afterwards is about a Cryodrakon flying north for the winter in search of food. Similar to the Phosphatodraco from Season 1, the Cryodrakon is shown to be an active predator on the ground, making her a threat to the small animals within the snowy forest that she eventually lands in, with some hapless thescelosaur being her target.
We then cut to a scene featuring a male Gorgosaurus, shown looking for a female to court during the mating season in the spring. Just like the T. rex from “Freshwater”, the main male uses a dot on his throat, along with his low-frequency calls, to court a female. All of this takes place in a field of wildflowers, which were beginning to evolve during the Cretaceous, with pollinators such as primitive bees flying around.
The next scene then shows herds of Edmontosaurus (The last of the creatures from Season 1 to make a return) making their migration towards warmer regions, while dealing with a harsh blizzard. One of the youngsters gets separated during the winter storm, and has to wander in search of his family. During this segment, the segment goes into detail about the month of darkness that the animals in this part of the world experience every year. While the young Edmontosaurus looks for his herd, he’s stalked by a pack of Latenivenatrix. Just as hope seems lost, the youngster eventually finds his herd passing by. The predators quickly get scared off by this, the segment ends with the youngster and his mother, now both reunited.
The finale of not only the episode, but also the season in general, is set in an upper part of the Western Interior Seaway (Think somewhere in what will become Canada), where multiple Tylosaurus hunt for squid in the deep ocean, similar to sperm whales. The focus centers around a young male, hunting for prey in deep water, where he comes across a rather large Enchotethis. This leads into an impressive battle between the two sea monsters, not unlike battles between sperm whales and giant squid. After winning and devouring his prize, the young male comes back to the surface, where the Northern Lights dances across the night sky, creating a true spectacle to behold. And just like the Hatzegopteryx from Season 1, the music really explodes into a grand, triumphant melody to end the season off (Think of it as a more epic version of the Mosasaur Battle track from the previous season), not only using a bookend in the form of a species that appeared in the first episode, but also showing how expressive, diverse, and incredible life is on our “Prehistoric Planet”.
Poles- Uncovered; The science of feathers on ornithopod dinosaurs is discussed. While it’s clear that people are used to the idea of feathers on theropod dinosaurs, the same idea applying to ornithopods, like Trinisaura, isn't talked about as much.  Kulindadromeus is a species that gets talked about as an example, showing how these small, plant-eating dinosaurs could have feathers in the same way as their theropod counterparts. The chase sequence between the Trinisaura and Imperobator even gets brought up to further prove the point, along with how Imperobator is part of a vast group of feathery theropods called paraves. And how this group also contains modern birds as well.
And with that, this was how I’d do a second season of PHP. Not only would I set it in a similar time to the first, a greater attention to other animals would be added in, along with a major shake-up to the themes of each episode. This project took me a good long while to come together, and even with how shaky some of the science is, I did my best to be as up-to-date on it as I can. Who knows? Maybe the official PHP season 2 we could get in the future turns out to be different from what I presented here? I dunno At the end of the day, I’m just happy that we even got this show to begin with. Funny swimming T. rexes will always been a sight for me to behold. Wanna give the folks over at the Paleo Media Central Discord server a huge shout-out. The input that they gave for the rough draft of this project was a huge help!

So, Star Trek: Resurgence.
If you've played a Telltale game, you've played Resurgence.  It technically has slightly more Gameplay than the old telltale games, with shooting sequences, stealth bits, fly-the-ship-through-the-rings bits, and a few other minigames involving the transporter and the tricorder, but frankly, they're all pretty forgettable.  The core gameplay loop of Resurgence is talking to people and making tough calls, and everything else is kind of a distraction from that.  I frankly would have enjoyed my time with the game more if it had stuck to oldschool Telltale-style gameplay that's just a series of QTEs.  The bits where you have to walk places and do things just slow down progression, and you move and control painfully slowly and awkwardly.
As far as the story itself, well, I would definitely put it solidly in the C-tier category for Trek stories.  It is very much patterned after a Trek movie rather than a Trek TV show.  Things start off promisingly enough with a dispute between two rubber forehead alien species.  Species A has been working a dilithium mine on their own planet for Species B for a couple centuries.  And, of course, the Federation buys dilithium from Species B.  So, you know, tense diplomatic situation, power imbalances, labor rights, pragmatism vs. idealism, cool cool cool.  Yeah, that shit gets chucked out the window at the end of the first act in favor of Another Galactic Threat.  Oy.  I'm so tired of Galactic Threats.
You technically play as two characters, the new first officer of the Resolute and one of her engineering grunts, so it's interesting seeing both sides of the Starfleet coin - senior staff and lower decks.  Calls you make on the bridge affect what you have to do in engineering at times, which makes the narrative hang together nicely.  A lot of the actual dialogue between characters, and the choices you make there, basically do break down to "favor character A over character B" and depending on how many times you skew in one direction or another it'll change some minor story beats later in terms of what fixed events happen to which characters.  Like, ho hum, guys, we know that Telltale games don't actually let you radically change the story, just swap details around, but this one wasn't even that particularly inspired.  I have gone through the trophy list rather than playing the game again with different choices, and let me tell you, nothing in this game stacks up to the end of the second Telltale Batman game in terms of actually changing how things play out.
There are some great moments where you get to tell people to execute evasive maneuvers or fire the photon torpedoes, and you get to pick which thing your first officer says when you order the ship to warp (I went with "make way"), but overall... eh.  $40 was a bit much for this game.  I do not regret it, though.  I am tired of Star Trek Online being the Only Star Trek Game.  I want more Star Trek Games.  We're getting one with Star Trek Infinite later this year or next from Paradox, but dammit, I want another Bridge Commander.  I want another Elite Force.  I want more quality Star Trek single-player games, so I voted with my wallet.
Last note: this game is pretty buggy, at least on PS5.  A solid 15-20% of the subtitles don't match the spoken dialogue at all, which is frustrating.  When I first started playing at launch, sometimes voice lines would also cut off in the middle, though I noticed none of that when I picked it up again a few weeks later after life got busy, so I assume there was an update.  But, like, come on.  It's a Star Trek game.  There has never been a non-buggy Star Trek game.  This is old hat for us.
I'm not a professional game reviewer obliged to give a letter or number score, so I'll just go the Steam route and say: do I recommend this game?  Yes, if you like Telltale-style games and don't mind a little bit of bad shooting/stealth gameplay that feels like it's from 15 years ago, and probably you should also like Star Trek too.
So, you know... get it on sale.

The Last of Us - Episode 1 (2023) Review
Tumblr media
Pedro Pascal once again plays the ultimate dad.
Plot: Twenty years after a fungal outbreak ravages the planet, survivors Joel and Tess are tasked with a mission that could change everything.
Ah here we are again - a video game being adapted into a movie/TV show. These don’t usually bode well. However HBO seems to have really gone all out on this one, by not only hiring Chernobyl’s Craig Mazin as one of the creators of the show, but also Neil Druckmann as the other creator. For those wondering who in the heavens this Druckmann chap may be, well he’s the fella who’s behind the original The Last of Us games. As we know those games definitely have a very strong fanbase and there isn’t even the slightest amount of disagreeable opinions in the regards to the sequel game whatsoever, so obviously everyone is so on board with Druckmann taking the reigns over the HBO series also, right?? To be fair, love or hate the narrative choices of the second game, hiring Druckmann to co-create the show proves that HBO set out to get the best team to make it; one that understands the world created in the game and one that would actually share a passion to create something special.
The result? The first episode has now aired and so now we are able to feast our eyes on either the mess that has been created, or another masterpiece from the Naughty Dog team. Luckily, judging from the first episode, it is the latter, as I am happy to report that HBO might just have a bombshell on their hands. Look, I’m going to come out clean - I’ve never played The Last of Us games myself. I tried do, I really did, but for some reason the gameplay and controls weren’t doing it for me, which was strange as I absolutely loved playing the Uncharted games (also created by the same studio). However I really enjoyed the world and the atmosphere of the games, so like a loser would, I went onto good old YouTube, and enjoyed watching a walkthrough of the game, where I could avoid the gameplay but enjoy the story. By the way, if you’re a loser like me who likes spending time watching walkthroughs, check out @theRadBrad channel, as he’s actually great at showcasing all the better qualities and aspects of the video game content that he plays. Anyway, coming back to the HBO show, what I immediately enjoyed was how the show is evidently first and foremost made for newcomers to the franchise, as the surprises and plot twists in the game are treated with just as much shock value and suspense in this first episode. For example, keeping it spoiler-free even though 99% of the gaming community know about it, the show when it starts follows a certain character, making it seem like they will be the main protagonist and we shall be following the story from their eyes. However within the first 20 minutes or so this character is brutally killed. Again, the original game’s opening is iconic, yet the show treats this plot twist with as much attention if not more. As we actually get to spend even more time with this character, seeing how they interact in the real world before the outbreak even begins, and I really enjoyed that. It gave the show more purpose. This isn’t just a means to get fans of the video games to shed out more dollar, it’s actually an opportunity for non-games to be able to experience themselves the world of The Last of Us without the need of having to move around joysticks aimlessly.
The first half an hour of this episode is simply ace. It’s thrilling, suspenseful and really throws you into the action and drama that this world is known for. The remainder of the episode is much more slower, however very necessary in building up the relationships and character dynamics that will surely play a major role later in the show. For a first episode this one does exactly what it needs to. In a way it reminded me of the very very first The Walking Dead episode, when one moment Rick and Shane are sitting in their cop car enjoying burgers and chips, and then the next Rick Grimes wakes up alone in hospital in the middle of a zombie outbreak. Back then that episode screamed potential and that we were in for something amazing. Which it was, until The Walking Dead ended up being 11 seasons long + spin-offs. However with The Last of Us seemingly following the game narrative really closely, I don’t imagine it will go on forever.
I also love the visual look of the show. Talking about the game’s atmosphere, this post apocalyptic world looks real. You’ve got the fungi growing on walls, the weathered half fallen skyscrapers... in the last moments of the episode you see our main characters set out on their journey into this wilderness and I cannot wait to see what more horrors this world will bring. Speaking of the main characters, Pedro Pascal is Joel, and if that isn’t some perfect casting right there! If you ever need an ultimate dad being a total badass, Pascal is your mad! *insert Ludwig Goransson’s The Mandalorian theme* He shows so much emotion in his eyes of regret, hurt and grief, yet still trying to make things work in this new horrible reality. Bella Ramsey as also showcases Ellie’s sassiness to the fullest, in fact more so than in the games, as she is willing to knife someone without hesitation and will cuss when need to. You can tell this Ellie has grown up in a post apocalyptic world and has learnt to adapt to her surroundings.
Look, I’ve already made my point. This is a great start to The Last of Us series, and I shall be tuning in to see where it goes next. I mean, it’s a show that features Pedro Pascal in the lead, how can you not want to watch that!? The guy is a natural charmer.
Overall score: 8/10

The first Avatar movie was pretty self-contained. It had a definite ending. A sequel didn’t seem necessary. But since that movie made loads of money, of course a sequel would be greenlit.  Like other movies with definite endings, any sequel would seem contrived--- albeit with varying degrees depending on how well the sequel is written. And herein lies the problem. James Cameron and co. are not very good writers.
The visuals were spectacular, no doubt. But that’s pretty much all this movie has going for it. The plot is basically a rehash of the first one. The evil humans are back, so we have to protect the planet again. The major plot point also is pretty stupid once you think about it. So, to prevent their tribe from being a target, they chose to move to another tribe, effectively making this new tribe the new target instead. And why choose to run away when they could still fight? That’s pretty much what happened in the end, just with a different tribe. This proves they could have stayed and fought. They could have defended their own tribe.
Basically, this plot point was just there to justify the change in scenery.
Like I said. Horrible writing. Total lack of creativity. Which resulted to a clunky storyline.
But this still could have worked. I mean look at the first movie. The simple plot was very derivative, yet it was still entertaining. Even when I catch it on TV every now and then, I’d still end up watching it. Call the first movie dumb, derivative, or whatever, but to me it was never boring. A huge chunk of this sequel is.
There are glaring pacing issues. The exposition shows a lot in couple of minutes. Then they chose to fast forward one year later--- a lot of things could have happened in this one year. Maybe try fleshing out these characters more? A couple of exciting sequences for 20-30 minutes or so, then the film suddenly slows down to a snail’s pace. For about 2 loooooooong hours, it was like watching fish in an aquarium. Or watching some undersea footage in a documentary. Sure, what you’re seeing is beautiful, but eventually you’d get bored at seeing pretty pictures when nothing much was happening. It’s not until the last 30 minutes or so during the expected confrontation when it actually picks up again. There’s just too much fluff in this movie. The movie runs for more than three hours, when this story could have easily been told in less than two. Cutting a lot scenes would have made this movie so much better. And they plan on making three more of these movies when the first sequel is basically a rehash of the first? If they’d insist on taking audiences back to Pandora several more times, the first thing James Cameron should do is to hire better writers. Then he could focus solely on the visuals. That seems to be what he cares for the most, anyway.

NPR on Love Addiction (and yes, that is my voice again...)
I was honored to be contacted by NPR’s Neda Ulaby to speak on the subject of love addiction, particularly the way recovery has matured over the 20+ years I’ve been involved. You can play her radio piece, or click through to Morning Edition here, or go old school and read the transcript below. (But then you won’t hear my mellifluous voice….)
I would love your feedback, both to me here and to NPR. It’s a worthwhile topic; let’s alert the media.
CULTURE
Young women are challenging the stigma of sex and love addiction support groups
OCTOBER 30, 20245:00 AM ET
Tumblr media
People struggling with compulsive behavior around love and sex have long been the brunt of sleazy jokes and lurid misrepresentation. TV shows and movies use sad, so-called sex addicts sitting on folding chairs in support groups as punchlines. But cultural stigmas around sex and love 12-step programs are being challenged by a rising generation of young women active in recovery — and on social media.
“I’m a sex and love addict. I might as well start my SLAA journey,” a young woman who calls herself Brittany McGee announced in a TikTok video. It’s among dozens of posts in which young women explain how their participation in groups such as Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous help them manage behavior that feels unhealthy, even harmful.
“One time, I was on Tinder numbing my feelings away and I told this dude that I matched with, ‘Hey, I shouldn’t be on here. I am a love and seggs addict,” said another Tiktoker with the handle Stephanie Rey, using internet slang for sex.
“He said, ‘You know, there’s help for you. There’s love and seggs addiction anonymous. And I was like oh, maybe I should look into that. And he told me some great advice, which is true. The biggest mistake that an addict can make is trying to do it all yourself. Find community, learn from each other, get all sorts of help. This is why we’re here on this planet, to learn and grow.”
Gen Z has 'a vocabulary of recovery'
Sex and love addiction has not been officially recognized in the DSM-5, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders used by professionals. The Mayo Clinic notes that it's sometimes diagnosed as part of other mental health conditions, including behavioral addiction.
Talking about sex and love in the context of addiction remains controversial, even at a moment when seeking help for substance abuse is not as shameful as it once was. Celebrities talk about rehab for drugs. Books about recovery from alcohol are best sellers. But sex and love still wigs people out.
“Oh my gosh, I’m gonna tell my parents I’m in a sex and love addicts anonymous group?” asked Courtney Davila, in mock horror. The 25-year-old, who uses they/them pronouns, did exactly that. Their parents dealt with it. Their Gen Z friends were utterly unfazed.
“They’re like, you’re doing something good for yourself and taking accountability,” Davila said.
Gen Z and millennials bring a refreshingly enlightened perspective to sex and love 12-step groups, which are based on the Alcoholics Anonymous model, said Ethlie Ann Vare, author of the 2011 memoir Love Addict: Sex, Romance and Other Dangerous Drugs.
“They have a vocabulary of recovery and a vocabulary of mental health that my generation just didn’t have,” said Vare, who is a Baby Boomer. She started attending sex and love 12-step groups in the late 1990s. It was, she added dryly, a very different cultural moment.
“Oh, it was like walking into AA in 1937,” she said, referring to Alcoholics Anonymous’ first decade. “It was deeply shameful.”
Easier but not Easy
It still isn’t easy to start showing up at sex and love addiction meetings, Vare said.
“Nobody wants to talk about being in the fetal position on the bathroom floor because someone didn’t call you,” she said. “And people whose sexual behavior is inappropriate at best – they don’t want to talk about that either.”
While 12-step groups do not work for everyone, Vare said there are quite a lot to choose from, including Sexual Compulsives Anonymous, Sex Addicts Anonymous and many others.
SLAA is probably the best known, with more than 1,200 meetings in more than 50 countries, according to its website. SLAA did not respond to NPR’s requests for comment, and does not track the demographics of its membership. (After all, it is anonymous.) Vare says many younger people may be drawn to these groups because of the avalanche of apps that enable addictive behavior.
“They literally designed Tinder to mimic slot machines,” she said. “That’s the interface.”
The year 2019 is also the last time Pornhub publicly released its visitor numbers, then 115 million daily. (In 2020, the New York Times published a damning expose about the site’s failure to ban videos featuring underage and exploited people, violent scenarios, revenge porn and nonconsensual sexual material.) The site remains the world’s largest purveyor of free pornography and is one of the most viewed platforms in the world. Its most recent data says the majority of its visitors are under the age of 35.
“Ninety-four percent of kids will see online porn before age 14,” Vare said. “It’s just access to excess, as they used to say about Saturday Night Live and cocaine, right
Sharing a Common Problem
There’s a joke — or a stereotype — that men attend these recovery groups because of sex and women because of love. But it’s critical to remember, said Vare, that everyone in these rooms shares a common problem.
“We’re propelled by the fact that we don’t feel safe and we don’t feel like we’re enough and that doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman or anywhere on the gender spectrum,” she said.
Some young people who spoke to NPR on the condition of anonymity because they preferred to be private about their mental health, said they found their way to these support groups through other 12-step programs, such as for alcohol or drugs. Others echoed a sentiment shared by Courtney Davila – that their reasons for attending were not necessarily about dating or porn apps. Davila said they attend SLAA meetings to work on having responsible and healthy sexual and romantic relationships, and to counter what they call the cultural “fairy tale” of getting rescued through them.
“In my community, in the queer community, there’s so much codependence that’s normalized,” Davila said. “By taking the step to join SLAA, it was really an act of like, ‘Yeah, I do have attachment issues and I think most of us do and that’s okay.’”
Davila said the young women they know in SLAA are sex positive. They believe in talking about sex and love, what does not work, and about being avoidant, asexual or afraid. Right now, Davila added, the world is defined by vast and horrific problems. Their generation just wants, in every way, to make it better.

alright, *cracks fingers*. so. I’ve written up a transcript just to lay it all out for myself and get the most important parts. listen, everyone. for all intents and purposes and legal reasons, THIS WAS A DREAM. alright? I dreamt this. and he is literally the nicest human being ever so I don’t want to just like... put our whole convo out there like that, but I think he said some stuff that was important for people to hear so... here we go
my *dreamt* zoom call with thee crowley below the cut
The first five minutes (of my dream) was just a bunch of introduction stuff and talking about my favorite Supernatural seasons which eventually led to him telling me how they filmed the Season 8 finale (which they did over the span of three days, and in between takes the crew members were like dead silent, as to keep the moment going, which Mark thought was really cool. Said it was one of his favorite things they did on Supernatural.) Anyways, he eventually asked me if I had any questions, so, I’ll start there.
MARK: So, do you have any questions you want to ask me about aaaaaannyyyythingggg?
ME: Um, I guess the number one thing I wanna know… um, so, I know you can’t speak for Dean and I don’t want to talk about Dean because you’re not Jensen, but, there’s like a lot of questions I guess or subtext or whatever concerning Dean’s sexuality and what not, but I want to know about demon Dean and Crowley’s relationship and if there was, I don’t know, anything like, any implied –
MARK: Well I think – I think you’re talking about… there’s a massive difference between sex and love. There’s a massive difference between, um, well, they can intertwine perfectly, that’s not the issue, but I mean you would believe with all the things that Crowley did for the Winchesters, that he was – that he very much loved Sam and Dean or loved who they are or what they are. To reduce it to, you know, a crush, or to something that – I mean, I don’t know, I think Crowley is very probably pansexual more than anything else; I don’t think anything phased him. I think, that’s why the whole stuff with Lucifer and licking the floor was kind of really stupidly boring for me because Crowley did weirder and crazier things on his own. I mean, it became this joke of trying to humiliate somebody who can’t be humiliated. There’s nothing you can humiliate Crowley with. So, that never sort of made sense, that was just a sort of writer’s glitch of thinking, “oooh, this would be funny to knock him down into subservience” and that’s what he does on a Wednesday, I mean it’s like the most un-inspiring thing. I think so much is projected onto the relationship between, certainly the four main characters, um, and, you know, look, getting comfortable with one’s sexuality and one’s identity is a massively complicated things, and if you want to live vicariously through what you believe people’s identity is and you can relate to that, great!  Who cares? I mean, can I be absolutely honest? Apart from – what I do care about, you know, don’t ever take this and piece me or misquote it, because it’s very, very specific – um, somebody stopping somebody being able to express their own identity or whatever is an issue for me. That will always be an issue for me. Um, we should all be treated equally, and we all have the rights to believe and follow those things that we wish to follow, but to project relationships onto characters is an odd thing to do. I mean, it’s wishful thinking in a lot of ways, I mean, actually it’s quite… it’s quite reasonable because in the past if you think about it, if you ask your parents or anyone else, the only way sexuality was used was to, uh, literally demonize somebody. It was only ever used to say somebody was bad because this who they’re in love with. You know, that’s, that’s the thing. And it’s a massive change in the world that we’re moving towards, I should say, uh – a lack of consequence for who one loves, apart from the obvious consequences of human nature. You know, political consequences for who one loves – I’ve just watched Pete Butteigieg being, you know, sitting in congress with his husband there with him; that’s the first time that’s ever happened in United States congress and I’m so proud of that. Not just because the man is gay and happily married – that’s not even the issue for me, it’s because he’s the best man for the job and one of the smartest people on the planet. You know, it’s like using sexual templates, as they were, or gender templates as they are, or orientation templates as they are, we always use to disclude people from things. They were always used to discriminate. You know, labeling somebody was a way of discrimination. And where as labels are very important, to ones self, and they’re very important politically and they’re very important socio-economically and they’re very important in all those aspects, I yearn for a time when nobody gives a damn. I really do. But I mean, we have to go through so much to get there. I mean, let’s be honest, you can’t, you know, right the wrongs of hundreds of years of oppression in 20 minutes by saying, “let’s all move forward”. It just doesn’t work that way, it never has. But there’s a responsibility there, that if you’re going to represent, that you represent all. That you don’t just represent you. So, one has to be careful with a television program or, or, you know, Misha or myself, or, not speaking for the boys, but just generally, um, you have to be careful that what you advocate is inclusive, not disinclusive. Not excluding people... and it’s so hard to frame these conversations, that they’re equitable, it’s so hard to do that. And so, you know, we spend years pointing out the inequity and the injustice and the unfairness of the whole situation, and… I don’t know if the trick is to rise above, or, uh, maybe it’s as simple as love and coming together as a human race and make it very difficult for people to discriminate and exclude based on gender, race, color, religion, any of the subsets of humanity that we’ve decided we have. So, I think personal responsibility is the most important thing, but if one is in a position of power on a TV show, you got to remember what you’re representing, that you have a, you know, you have to cover all or cover none. So, you know, but if you stick to a story and you have a story about a person or two people and their journey, that’s shining light on things. If you try to advocate for all, I think it becomes a little more complicated. Does that make sense?
so, i just feel like he said some important things there, but like I also don’t really understand what he’s getting at really, y’know? oh! also, he didn’t watch the finale lmao
also! there’s this:
MARK: Because if you come down on one side or another, you’re admitting the sides, and that has its own political ramifications. If you push the ball up in the air and say, “you decide”, I don’t think that’s copping out. I think that’s, maybe not fulfilling everybody’s expectations, or not fulfilling everybody’s hopes, but at least you’re getting the question asked. You know, at least you’re getting the question asked. At least people are relating to it and going, “well, what if?”. Because it’s all “what if”, I mean, it’s a TV show, so it’s “what if”, you know? It’s not Misha being in love with Jensen, I mean as much as he loves Jensen, I don’t think that’s his thing – I mean you never know – but I’m saying yet again, I don’t exclude anything from anybody (I LITERALLY CAN’T BELIEVE HE SAID THIS LMAO). But to force my opinion or my identity belief upon a situation has a cost. It may be right, it may be absolutely right, and it may be necessary in many, many cases. But, in that circumstance, I think… there are a lot of people in the world that say that Jesus, for example, was anti-homosexual and that he was – and none of that is true, and none of that is provable in the New Testament, and I’m not talking about Leviticus and I’m not talking about early Bible and I’m not talking about the fact that more than 25,000 words have been changed in the King James edition and all of this stuff, but these things that people hold so sacred, the confusion that arises from that is being told that a man loving a man or a woman loving a woman or a man loving a man and a woman or whatever combination being there is either right or wrong because you’re being told by a pastor or the leaders of your church, is a very difficult thing to break down. I think what you have to do is at least put it out there so it’s visible, and so it becomes less and less deniable. And you know, people change over years, that’s the trouble with youth, is shit doesn’t move fast enough. “I need a decision now!”, and unfortunately, when you’re dealing with centuries of prejudice and centuries of un-enlightenment, I think that sometimes the best thing to do is reach as many people as possible and pose the question. And sometimes it’s essential to make a statement, absolutely, no question. It is essential to make a stand, in some circumstances. But to polarize a TV show, can be very disingenuous to those who need to go ask their own questions, who need to go say, “well, where does Jesus say this is wrong?” you know, if that’s your beliefs.
he also said, when we went off on a tangent about doom patrol:
MARK: There are issues that are being addressed here [on Doom Patrol] that are not being addressed on other shows, and yet again, we have the format, and I don’t know that Supernatural ever had the format because it was on the CW.
anywho, in conclusion, fuck the cw.
also, again, for all intents and purposes this was a dream I had :)))))))

Weekly Recap | February 8-21 2021
Tumblr media
You get two weeks worth of fics this time because I got too busy last weekend and didn't have time to do my weekly recap :)
Complete
Evanstan Week 2021 by luninosity/ @luninosity (Evanstan | 10K | Mature): All my Evanstan Week little fics!
1. dodger 2. kisses  3. on set  4. first times (a first kiss, at least)  5. in space (alternate universe)  6. fluff  7. holiday
💙  Remote Access by Kalee60/ @kalee60 (Modern AU, Roommates | 57K | Explicit): Bucky Barnes was in trouble. More trouble than he ever thought he could get into as a grown adult. And it was caused by two singular factors that should never have become entwined. One, his god-like housemate Steve Rogers, who was unfairly handsome and the perfect specimen of man in not only looks but personality - and completely out of Bucky’s league. Two, Bucky’s obsession with a new toy he’d purchased to fill his lonely nights (and other areas). But when Steve buys a new TV, suddenly these two seemingly separate parts of Bucky’s life crash together in a spectacular and obsessive way.Bucky soon finds himself not as in control as he thought - and that’s when things start to get interesting…
💙  Black and Blue by darter_blue/ @darter-blue, the1918/ @the1918 (Modern AU, Spies & Secret agents | 7K | Explicit): CIA Agent Bucky Barnes and Captain Steve Rogers, Army 207th, Military Intelligence, are two American spies working for two different intelligence agencies. They've developed somewhat of complicated relationship while chasing down the same leads.
Until One Day, We Won't Be by the1918/ @the1918 (Evanstan RPF | 8K | Explicit): Six times Chris and Sebastian were alone. [+ one time they were not.]
💙  How to Bang Your Weapon (in This World and the Next) by Brokenwords, elkane/ @elkane, Hark_bananas/ @harkbananas, kocuria-visuals (kocuria)/ @kocuria, Nospheratt/ @nospheratt, profoundalpacakitten/ @profoundalpacakitten, ScrambledScript, sublimepigeon/ @sublimepigeon, ursa (Canon Divergent, WS!Steve, WS\Bucky, Multiverse | 50K | Explicit): Hydra knows how to get the Asset to do their bidding. When they want a new Captain, a new Steven Grant Rogers from another universe to help grow Hydra’s collection of supersoldiers, of course they send the Asset. But little do they know that in any universe, a Bucky will always find a Steve, and a Steve will always protect a Bucky.
💙  What lies they told us by darter_blue/ @darter-blue (Mobster AU | 42K | Explicit): Steve Rogers might still see his ma every Sunday, but he isn’t the dutiful son. He gave up that life a long time ago. Bucky Barnes may be following in his fathers footsteps, but he wants to set a path to something more than where they’ll take him. Steve and Bucky’s lives have always intersected. There is something between them that exists, real and palpable. But they are opposite sides of a coin. Opposing families in a war for money and power. Blood and pain. And fate may bring them together, again and again, pulling them closer. But it always finds a way to rip them apart. What they need is a way to fight fate. To fight their families. To reach each other. To keep each other.
the prosecution rests by dirtybinary/ @dirtybinary (Post-WS | 3K | Teen): The Asset has to admit, ending a mission with Captain America crying into his lap is pretty unexpected. Even for him, and he is trained to anticipate all contingencies.
💙  The Seed and the Root by the1918/ @the1918 (Shrunkyclunks, Post-EG | 32K | Explicit): His hands and mouth are gentle on the outside, but on the inside, Steve is burning up. He’s got everything he’s ever wanted on the bed and land beneath him, and now it’s so much at once that he’s afraid he’ll combust into white, nuclear light. (Part 3 of 💙  Song of the Rolling Earth)
Burning For You by musette22/ @musette22 (Evanstan RPF, Non-Famous Sebastian | 3K | Teen): Sebastian gets a little carried away when raving about the Mountain Lodge candle to a friend. It leads to an unexpected, fragrant encounter.
At The Bottom Of Everything by Anonymous (Evanstan RPF | 12K | Teen): Six years. That’s what they’re celebrating. Six years, of them. Of this. That's what Chris is happy about. Until the phone rings. Until he turns on the news.
💙  Slip Of The Tongue by this_wayward_life (Shrunkyslunks, Soulmate AU | 6K | Explicit): Mr Perfect Ass is even prettier from the front. His braid is loose enough that strands of hair have fallen to frame his face, and an oversized scarf is pulled up to just below his pouty, red mouth. He's big, with wide shoulders and thick arms and thighs that are straining at his jeans, and he's staring at Steve with a blush on his face and the prettiest eyes Steve has ever seen."Oh, god," Steve blurts out. "Please sit on my face."

💙  Underneath the Shattered Sky by JJK/ @trenchcoatsandtimetravel (Planet Hulk AU, Post-Endgame | 14/? | 55K | Mature): “I shouldn’t have tried to kiss you.” Steve sounded choked. “I’m sorry. It was out of line.” “It’s really okay.” “No, it’s not. You’re not him. You’re your own person, with your own history, your own thoughts and feelings. Your own life here. I can’t expect you to be him. It’s not fair. To either of you.” “Maybe not,” Bucky huffed back. “But in this universe, my Steve’s an asshole who left me. And in your universe, your Bucky was taken from you, so I don’t really know what’s fair anymore.”
💙  and the river flows beneath your skin by Deisderium/ @deisderium (Boarding School AU, Soulmates | 3/? | 20K | Mature): In which Steve and Bucky are forced to room together their senior year at boarding school, and accidentally soul bond to each other even though they kind of hate each other. All they have to do to get out of it is not kiss each other for a year so the accidental bond will fade. How hard could it be?
💙  The Root and the Stalk by the1918/ @the1918 (Shrunkyclunks, Post-EG | 3/6 | 18K | Explicit): “My mom, she’s not perfect, but she always had this one saying. You can’t look right into the sunset, because the light will burn your eyes. So you have to face east, right?” Bucky tucks his forehead against Steve’s chest, staring down the gap between them, eyes on their feet. “And when you do, you can look at the ground, and you can see your own shadow.” Bucky raises his head after a contemplative silence and gazes up at Steve. Those stormy gray eyes are filled with luminance, iridescence, splintered rays of shining light. “Or—Mom would say—you can look in front of you.” His lashes kiss his cheeks in butterfly pulses every time he blinks. “And ‘God’s light at your back will show you everything.’” (Part 4 of 💙  Song of the Rolling Earth)
💙  Revenance by by JJK/ @trenchcoatsandtimetravel, SinpaiCasanova (Bladerunnerblue) (The Old Guard AU/The Song of Achilles AU | 20/? | 62K | Mature | Warning: Violence, MCD): And perhaps it is the greater grief, after all, to be left on earth when another is gone. Or, the one where Steve and Bucky are immortal and used to be known as Achilles and Patroclus.
💙  my soul and my youth (it’s all for you to use) by voxofthevoid/ @voxofthevoid (Post-Endgame (non-compliant) | 1/2 | 7K | Explicit): He waits until Bucky’s got a happy mouthful of eggs and toast. “I want to fuck you when you’re asleep.” Steve smiles his sweetest smile, and Bucky’s eyes narrow further, until they’re luminous blue slits. He swallows. Steve helplessly tracks the bob of his throat and drags his eyes back up to Bucky’s. “Steven Grant,” Bucky says, tone somewhere between amusement and admonishment. “Way to spring that on a guy.”
Re-read
I [Heart] You by writeonclara (Canon, magic curse | 1K | General): “Steve’s been hit with a curse,” Natasha said. She said it calmly, so Bucky didn’t immediately go flying out of the apartment to tear apart the Tower in search of Steve. Then again, Natasha would probably be calm if New York City spontaneously burst into flames. He lowered the coffee pot and squinted at her. “Of course he has,” he said. He felt, abruptly, exhausted. “What is it?” “The witch kept ranting about sexual repression and archaic moral principles,” she continued blithely.

Is he still Disney's good luck charm
Tumblr media
A good luck charm could be a stuffed animal or a pair of socks but for Pixar it used to be John Ratzenberger.
John Dezso Ratzenberger (born April 6, 1947) has appeared in almost every Pixar film. From Hamm in Toy Story to Construction Worker Fennwick in Onward. His favorite character to voice was P.T. Flea in a Bug's Life. He  is an American actor, voice actor, and entrepreneur who has appeared in 21 Pixar films, the most of any other voice actor. It was said that he was a good luck charm for Pixar. He did not voice any characters in the film Soul or Luca either. Ratzenberger is a team member of the Pixar Softball Team. He even hosted the documentary film Pixar: 20 Years of Animation and Counting. Ratzenberger is best known for playing Cliff Clavin on the TV show Cheers. He will also not be voicing a character in Turning Red.  Which leaves me to believe Pixar/Disney is moving away from their so-called good luck charm. As the years have gone by his animated characters are getting less screen time and he is getting less lines to say. As a fan of Pixar and Ratzenberger this is a sad thing to hear. The fun thing about Pixar movies are the Easter eggs and finding John Ratzenberger in the movie. Pixar's most notable traditions other than Ratzenberger are the appearance of the Pizza Planet truck, references to other Pixar movies past and present and “A113” hidden somewhere, and the  Easter egg teasing Pixar's next movie.
My favorite Ratzenberger quote from Monsters, Inc
“Adorable Snowman: "Snow cone?"
Mike: "Yuck."
Abominable Snowman: "No, no, no, don't worry. It's lemon."”
Another favorite quote of his from Toy Story 2
Hamm: "All right. Let's review this one more time. At precisely 8:32-ish, Exhibit 'A,' Woody, was kidnapped. Exhibit 'B,' a composite sketch of the kidnapper."
Bo Peep: "He didn't have a beard like that."
Hamm: "Fine. Etch, give him a shave."
Slinky Dog: "The kidnapper was bigger than that."
Hamm: "Oh, picky, picky, picky."
Mr. Potato Head: "Let's just go straight to Exhibit 'F.' The kidnapper's vehicle. Now, the vehicle fled the scene in this direction."
Hamm: "Your eyes are in backwards. It went the other way. "
Potato Head: "Hey, put a cork in it."
Rex: "How do you spell 'FBI'?" (destroys the "crime scene")
Potato Head: "My crime scene!"
Hamm: "Oh, why don't you watch where you're going, 'Godspilla'?"
Rex: "I didn't know there was a crime scene."

Chapter 10 | Chapter 9 | Chapter 8 | Chapter 7 | Chapter 6 | Chapter 5 | Chapter 4 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 1 | Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It didn’t feel right with Bucky away. Although he’d only been gone for just over a day you felt the void he left. Over the past few months you’d become inseparable, seeing each other every day - whether it be hitting the gym together, cooking or just hanging out.
After coming home from yet another terrible day at work, you wanted nothing more than to open a bottle of wine and binge watch TV with Bucky who was undoubtedly now your best friend.
You were two glasses in when you heard a banging outside your apartment door.
Stepping out into the hallway you were greeted with two cops hammering away on Bucky’s door, nearly breaking it clean off. “Excuse me, can I help you?”
Both officers quickly spun on the spot and reached for their guns, stopping when they saw you were on your own. “Do you know the man who lives here?”
“Yes, do you?”
“Ma’am do you know where he is?”
“No I don’t” You lied, not trusting the two men infront of you.
One of their radios suddenly turned on “-he’s is now in custody in Baltimore”
Both cops nodded to one another before turning back to you. “Nevermind ma’am”
You watched as they left as quickly as they arrived before running back into your apartment, grabbing your phone and frantically calling Bucky. You tried a few more times before stuffing your wallet into your purse and heading for the door.
Fortunately you managed to catch a last minute flight to Baltimore after confirming with the police precinct they were holding him in . You hadn’t thought twice about going to him, your heart ached at the thought of him being confined to a cell, trapping him like an animal.
After paying the cab driver your fare, you sprinted into the precinct heading straight for the desk.
“Hi, you’re holding my friend Bucky -  I mean James Barnes.” You panted, tired from the sprint to the officer behind the desk.
“Who the hell are you?”
Turning around, you came face to face with someone you instantly recognised. “Falcon” You grinned, a little bit star struck at meeting an actual Avenger.
Sure Bucky was one too but to you he wasn’t some superhero on the evening news who fought aliens and terrorists, he was just Bucky - your friend who stole your food and listened to your never ending rants.
Realising you hadn’t answered his question, you continued. “I’m Y/N, a friend of Bucky’s.” You extended your hand out to him which he shook.
“Sam” He replied, releasing your hand from his.
“The one who believes wizards are real” You joked, trying to remove the tension.
“I’ll tell you the same thing I told the cyborg, a wizard is a sorcerer without a hat!”
“Uhuh” You laughed, rolling your eyes. “Have they said when they’ll let him out yet?”
Sam gestured you to the seating area and sat down. “Once his therapist arrives they’ll let him out.” You sat in comfortable silence for a few moments as the busy precinct bustled around you, cops and civilians passing through constantly.
Sam was the first to break the silence.
“Do you want to watch a funny video?”
The first time you watched the video of Bucky jumping out of the plane you were worried sick he’d hurt himself with his terrible landing. But by the fifth time watching it you’d found it hysterical as you laughed along with Sam as you watched the video over and over again from different angles to kill the time.
Reluctantly, you left the waiting area and headed to the restroom to relieve yourself. When you came back you were stumped to find Sam wasn’t where you’d left him.
“Excuse me, do you know where the man that was sat there went?” You asked the officer behind the desk.
“Therapy session” She replied, pointing towards the double doors before returning back to furiously typing on her computer.
“Thanks” You muttered before returning back to your seat, patiently waiting.
You didn’t have to wait for long before Sam came back with an annoyed look etched across his face. “He’ll be out in a minute” he said as he passed by you, heading for the exit.
With a sigh of relief you stood from your seat and adjusted your clothing as you watched the door with eager eyes.
The moment you saw him through the small windows you felt all the stress and anxiety of the day seep out of you as you saw he was relatively okay.
Bucky must have been distracted as he didn’t notice you standing in front of him until his eyes landed on you, his mouth hanging open in shock.
“Hey Buck”
“Doll what are you doing here?” He asked as he strode over to you, pulling you into him in a tight hug, your face pressed against his warm chest. Your arms wound around his back, pulling him in closer, his scent overwhelming your senses. He left a kiss upon your head before pulling back slightly to look down at you, searching for answers.
“Cops came to your apartment looking for you, and then I heard they’d got you and I just panicked. Are you okay?” Reaching up, you cupped his face in your hand, your thumb stroking his soft cheek.
His eyes fluttered closed for a moment before he opened them again, suddenly aware of where you were.
“C’mon lets get out of here.” Taking your hand in his, he led you out of the station and into the fresh evening air.
A shiver ran down your spine as the cold air hit your bare arms. In your rush to go after Bucky you’d foolishly foregone a jacket.
Instantly noticing your discomfort, Bucky dropped your hand and shrugged his jacket off and wrapped it around your shoulders, the leather swamping your form.
“Thanks” You said shyly, Bucky merely smiled back at you in response.
“Well I feel better” Sam’s voice broke you out of the moment as he walked up to you both. Bucky opened his mouth to respond before being interrupted by the sound of a siren and flashing lights.
“Gentlemen!” You recognised the voice from the news - the Captain America knock off. “Good to see you again.”
You felt Bucky's hand slide down your arm to grasp your hand once again as he walked towards the imposter, angling you behind him.
“Look, if we divide ourselves, we don’t stand a chance, you guys know that.”
“So what do you got?” Sam asked, rolling his eyes.
“Well the leaders name’s Karli Morgenthau. We’ve been targeting civilians who’ve been helping Karli move from place to place.”
“They geotagged a location then scrambled the signal. But our satellites have found their symbol popping up in various displaced communities all across Central and Eastern Europe.”
“We think she’s taking the medicine she just stole to one of these camps.”
“Well, there are hundreds of those all over the planet since The Blip so I guess you’ll have to look real hard.” If it wasn’t for present company you’d have rolled your eyes at Bucky’s sarcasm.
“Good thing I have 20/20 vision, huh?”
“Where is she now, Walker? Do you know?”
“No we don’t know Bucky. It’s only a matter of time before we find out”
“Things are really intense for you, aren’t they Walker” Your lips twitched as you fought off a smirk.
“Take it easy. Look Walker’s right. It is imperative that we find them and stop them. But you guys have rules of engagement and all kinds of authorisations you have to get. We’re free agents. We’re more flexible. So it wouldn’t make sense for us to work with you.”
You all turned to walk away, Bucky squeezing your hand as you did before fake Captain America stopped you in your tracks. “A word of advice then… stay the hell out of my way.” The two men turned and began to walk before Walker stopped again. “Nice to finally meet you Y/N”
You felt Bucky tense as he turned back to the two men, his eyes glaring at them. Gently, you squeezed his hand and tugged his arm, pulling him back towards Sam, not bothering to respond to dumb and dumber. Looking down at you, he sighed before complying.
With one last glance behind, you raised your hand as though to wave before smirking and flipping them both off instead - earning a chuckle from Sam.
A few blocks later, Sam hung back to give you and Bucky a moment alone.
“I can’t believe you came for me doll” Bucky couldn’t keep his hands off you, he kept switching from rubbing your arms to keep you warm and tucking pieces of hair behind your ears. After the day he’d had you was a welcome sight, reminding him that not everything in his life was terrible.
“Of course I did” You replied, confused as to why he would even doubt it. “I’d do anything for you.” Your confession came as a shock to both of you. You weren’t quite sure as to why you voiced your feelings, maybe it was the day of stress finally getting to you, or the realisation what Bucky and Sam was up to was dangerous and you feared losing him. But regardless of your reasoning, you didn’t regret saying it.
Bucky's breath hitched as his blue eyes searched yours, looking for the moment where you’d crack a smile and make a joke out of it. But that didn’t happen.
Gently, Bucky leant forward and pressed his lips against your forehead, lingering for a moment before pulling back. “I don’t want you getting caught up in this doll.” His right hand cradled the back of your head as his eyes sought yours, trying to memorise every part of your face, committing it to memory.
“I’ll stay out of it, I promise. I just couldn’t bear the thought of you caged up again-” Your voice had become erratic as you processed the days events. Bucky pulled you into another hug, silencing you as he did, his metal hand rubbing up and down your back.
“I’ll be fine y’know that right? But I have to stop these people Y/N, the serum can’t end up in the wrong hands. I need you to trust me, to trust I know what I’m doing.”
You merely nodded in response, too caught up in the feeling of being in his arms.
Bucky pulled away from the hug and stroked your cheek, wiping away the tears you hadn’t realised had fallen. “Cmon, where’s that smile?”
You couldn’t resist his boyish charm and smiled back at him, although weakly.

Okay I'm supposed to be working on my thesis but instead I'm going to pitch a show to anyone who cares to listen. It's a half-reboot, half-reimagining, all wild ride.
(a warning that comes from a place of hindsight: this gets. Long. I think it's J to skip still?)
There was a short lived television program, both commissioned and cancelled in 2001, named Tracker. Tracker was a monster-of-the-week style low-budget sci-fi adventure about an alien sent to Earth to capture runaway fugitives who wanted to make the planet their own special little evil pillow fort.
Tumblr media
The show starred Adrian Paul (yes, that one, the Highlander guy) as the Eponymous Tracker, called Cole, and Amy Price-Francis as his human translator and romantic interest, Mel.
The show, in concept, has a lot of pros! Its Monster of the week format allowed for clean, self-contained episodes, while also hinting at larger, seasonal arcs.
There's some variation in the structure of the episodes, too, between chases and battles of wits and brawns, to whodunnits and other varieties of mystery. The main characters have great chemistry, and by keeping the episodes contained, you have the opportunity to keep the core cast small and cycle out a rotating cast of recurring side characters with their own ties to different themes and subplots. I also really liked the "learning to be human" throughline of the show, and the common theme that Mel and Cole shared, which was healing and building a life and a purpose in the face of grief and tragedy (Cole's family has been killed, and Mel's Grandmother has died).
The aliens are formless, and the bad guys take up residence in existing human hosts. This keeps the budget nice and low and means that the effectiveness of the villain relies on lore and storytelling, rather than just special effects. All the aliens can blend into a crowd of people at a glance, but they have their own arrays of strengths and weaknesses that make them interesting opponents. A lot of this is due to the low-budget nature of the show, and the original leans into the cheesy element of this pretty hard.
Another thing about the aliens all being formless is that they canonically exist outside the human gender binary! All aliens are queer by default! I love this!
And the romance between Mel and Cole is actually kind of wholesome, especially for a 2001 network tv couple.
Tumblr media
(there aren't a lot of gifs of this show. Probably because it is like. The least relevant IP I could have chosen to spend neurons on.)
HOWEVER. this was a show that ran for one season 20 years ago.
This is because it was a bad show.
(I say the above with love, and also because I mean it with my whole heart)
I'm just going to bullet point the cons really quick* here.
(*Note from the author, I just finished reading this list back after writing it, and it Will Not Be Quick)
Cole's a cop
His sidekick is a weaselly coward and a regrettably stereotypical embodiment of the "token black comic relief" character
There's not a whole lot of meaningful character growth. Everyone ends the season pretty much where they started it.
Adrian Paul is a professional martial artist, and a physically intimidating specimen, but because of some goofy fucking effects in post, ALL of the fight scenes are somehow the worst fight scene I've ever seen.
Only the bad guys steal real human hosts, so Cole has to get his physical form elsewhere. He manifests his body based on a billboard photo of an underwear model. This wouldn't be a bad thing, except the show uses it as an excuse to play out the same gag of him walking around in briefs and everyone being uncomfortable about a billion times over.
Also it presents questions that genuinely plagued me for all of the 22 episodes. Are the briefs his flesh? Is he wearing them in the (frankly weirdly charged) bath scene where Mel washes his upper body with a sponge? The image was two dimensional, so how does he know what a butt looks like? Was it just a guess?
The weird bath scene deserves its own bullet
The plot writing was a little predictable, which isn't always a bad thing, but matched with the lack of character growth, some episodes are left feeling less than dynamic.
It was the beginning of the aughts, so there's plenty of casual ableism, sexism, racism, and a smattering of transphobia to go around.
The villains, in the spirit of cheesy sci-fi, tend to be kind of flat (almost as flat as Cole should be, given that his only point of reference was two-dimensional and ASSLESS). There are also times where we just have to take the show's word for it that they're guilty and deserve to be in jail.
The non-binary aliens thing is verbally confirmed in Canon, from what I recall, but they don't really... Do anything with it? He still uses gendered words like husband and wife and daughter, and uses gendered terminology and pronouns to refer to the fugitive aliens. I KNOW it was the 2000s, but just from a world builder's perspective, it was a missed opportunity, dude.
Cole's a cop.
Everything was pretty Cole-focused. I think the show could have benefitted from having a few more episodes where the real focus was on other characters and their problems. It would have fleshed everyone out a bit more, and been good for building relationships.
It's a space cop show. Cops in space.
But the real problem is that. In spite of the above diatribe of headaches. I do genuinely have a fondness for this wonderful, terrible piece of television. I think the concept deserves a second chance. And I am going to tell you my plan. (Read: pipe dream)
(If you've made it this far in, you HAVE to stay to the end. Sunk-cost, baby. You've wasted this much of your life on my drivel, why not waste some more?)
The proposal:
First things first, forget the space cops. There's no reason for this to be both a monster of the week and a police procedural. The world has moved past the need for fantastical police procedurals. Make the main character a mercenary/bounty hunter/gun for hire type with his own code of conduct and definition of morality. Make the invasion of earth personal (interested in some dead family, anyone?) or his biggest job to date that then becomes personal(possibly still with some dead family on the side).
Second, keep the monster-of-the-week style, but connect the lore of the worlds and aliens enough to actually start painting a tapestry of who these people are. I wanted to know more about what these people left behind to come to Earth. Also, they kind of touch on the infiltration of the upper class and the exploitation of the working class by the aliens in the original show, and how financial success and influence can be a very effective weapon. I would just say... Lean into that a little more. Let Cole stand up for good people, instead of just hunting down bad ones.
Thirdly, revamp the core and recurring characters. Give Mel a little more agency, and a life outside of Cole and his drama. Give Nestov, Cole's Sidekick, more of a personality than "chronic con artist." Plan subplots and arcs for everyone Cole comes to consider his family. The humanization of Cole and his connection to the people around him through the lens of his grief and loneliness is so under-explored in the original, but when they do touch on it, it's brilliant! Making the people around him more real will make that element feel more real. And just !!!! Human compassion, man!!!! Shows about aliens are so good for creating portraits of humanity from an outsider's perspective!!! Why not paint people as wonderful and complex and strange and kind????
Fourthly, Make It Queer As Hell. Have a masculine presenting, but comfortably he/they protagonist! No one else is doing that yet, and frankly it would be nice to get away from the stereotype that is rapidly developing in certain mindsets of non-binary identities being "girl-lite." Make all the aliens queer, and make most of the humans queer too! Queer people find each other. That's not going to stop at just one species. Also, how much fun could you have with "Alien doesn't understand gender binary?" It's a comedy jackpot! Double also, feeling like you're an outsider to the rest of your species because of your queerness could be really encapsulated in the metaphor of a literal alien being asked to conform to societal expectations that are fundamentally nonsensical to them.
And lastly... I'm actually advocating that we keep the underwear model origin story, if only because it then presents the opportunity for the actual model to make an appearance down the line, and I think the shenanigans we'd get out of that would be too much of a gold mine to pass up.
I don't know if I've sold this, to be honest. It's the wee hours of the morning where I am, and I've spent longer writing this post than I have my thesis today, and I Still do not know if I've put together a coherent thought, either about what the show is or what I want it to have been. I have no idea if my inexplicable enthusiasm for this program has come through at all.
That being said I've thought about it Too Much and ABSOLUTELY built a complete fancast for the core characters. Read on (really, at this point, you have no choice. You kind of just have to keep scrolling until you get past it. This is becoming like 'Do you love the color of the sky' but more niche and sad. I'm so sorry)
Tumblr media
I present Rahul Kohli, he/they royalty themself, as Cole. Their work on iZombie shows an awesome sense for lovable comedic timing, and on Midnight Mass, he was a dramatic powerhouse. They can be soft and kind just as well as they can be really imposing and commanding. I think he could easily walk the tightrope between cold-steel heroism and genuine naivete that would really bring Cole's good heart to light. Also, a he/they playing a he/they? Unthinkable!
Tumblr media
I nominate Rachel Keller to play Mel. She's another really incredible dramatic actress, and her work on Legion showed an ability to maintain a compelling portrayal of a competent person in the face of utter absurdity that I think would be a good balance for Cole's constant and unending weirdness. She has a very steady energy about her, and I think the vibes are right for a woman trying to run a legacy business while also putting up with alien bullshit at all hours in the apartment upstairs from her bar. Keller's character in Legion also had a really complete and well-rounded feeling to her, which I think is an awesome nuance to be able to bring to Mel, a character that could frankly use some more building out to do her concept justice.
Tumblr media
I LOVE Liv Hewson for the role of Nestov. First of all, they'd be a queer actor playing a queer character, so immediate points. But also, Hewson brings such an unorthodox, spunky-yet-deadpan delivery to their characters that I think they'd be a great option to play a streetwise, grifter alien that goes from a minor antagonist to a really key part of Cole's most trusted inner circle. I also think that leaning into Nestov's queerness and his (he goes by he/him in the original show) experience as an alien on earth without the support of the fugitive gang that Cole is hunting could be a great place to bond and a wonderful change for mutual character development.
Tumblr media
I think Lolly Adefope would be marvelous as Jess, Mel's overenthusiastic bartender who's constantly looking for a way to make Mel's relic of an establishment into the Next Big Thing. Adefope has such a bubbly, sunny energy about her, and especially as Mel's life gets crazier, she'll need a spot of normalcy. A cheerful, unconditional friend running away from a surprisingly dark English past might be just the breather Mel needs from the impending alien apocalypse. Also, it's just nice for girls to have friends who are girls, independent of men or shared romantic interest. The major change in Jess's character that I'd want is making her less creepily fascinated by Cole. In the original it felt at times like a fox eyeing a deer carcass. Especially when Cole (frequently) stripped down to his maybe-made-of-meat underwear. I'm not saying that I'll except nothing but a joyful femme lesbian, but... No, actually that's exactly it. Make Jess Gay! and use that to subvert the stereotype of the predatory lesbian that's still so prevalent in tv production today. It would also give Cole an example of human queerness to relate to and a human queer friend to build connections with.
Tumblr media
I think Jemaine Clement is my ideal Vic Bruno, but. Not necessarily as he appears in the original show. In the original show, for the (many) uninitiated, Vic is Mel's ex, and a police detective. He's all right, but he sort of just serves as a narrative foil for Cole, and isn't good for too much else. This Vic would be more of a mentor figure to Mel, one of her Grandmother's regulars at the bar. He's either a former detective or a detective that's becoming more disillusioned with the abuse of power at his job by the day. He's reluctant to help out at first, and doesn't particularly like Cole, but cares enough about Mel to eventually become invested in Cole's safety by extension. The two end up having kind of a weird, tense-but-ride-or-die friendship. Vic ends up being more of a foil for Nestov's energy than Cole's. In Canon, he'd be the one confirmed token cishet, but he'd be all right in spite of that. Dad Energy.
Tumblr media
The last main character I have Thoughts about is Tricia Helfer as Zin. Zin is the show's BBEG, the mastermind behind the fugitives' escape to Earth, and Cole's mentor-figure-turned-traitor. Mastermind is already a sexy energy, but MILF mastermind? Yes Please. I don't really have a good story reason for this decision, her performance in Battlestar Galactica is just a core memory from my childhood and I think she should get to be sexy villains more. I do know that Zin, while in concept such a cool villain, felt really under-utilized in the original show, and in this hypothetical remake I'd want so much more direct conflict between the him (as per gender in the original) and Cole. The betrayal of a trusted quasi-paternal figure is such a tasty morsel of trauma to play with, and it's one that went almost completely unacknowledged. Just like Cole is mourning his family, he's also, in a way, mourning the person he thought Zin was, and having them face off and have to confront their relationship head on would be a very sexy thing to do I think.
So those are. My thoughts.
Tl;Dr: (understandably so, holy SHIT) Im advocating for a queer remake of a shitty alien show from the early aughts. It already had the bones of hokey charm, monster of the week adventures, and misfits making found family. It just needs to re-examine its own biases and get👏 more 👏queer👏 to tell a story that's really unique and special.

💜💜💜HI FROM PG💜💜💜
💜💜💜HI FROM PG💜💜💜
Hello there everybody! I thought I would send a message or a post and just let you all know that I miss you and I miss being a very active part of Skippy‘s blog!!
I had my second vaccination the Astrazeneca on Tuesday and had my doctor assessment yesterday and my arm is getting better it’s still is not 100% so I am taking it low and slow and using the dictation software. I know so many of you have left messages such kind words of love and support and I really really really appreciate them! And I want to say a special message to💜🙏🏻💜 CHERUB, 💜🙏🏻💜you know that you are  in my  prayers every single day. Jesus is with you he will never leave you or for sake you no matter what happens. I will be back probably in another week I think with if my arm continues as it is progressing.
Now I have a few things I wanna say about what’s happening here first I wanna say the visit to Scotland was a rousing success and as usual our Catherine slayed Fashion wise and interpersonal skills wise! I saw someone write a comment that they didn’t like her in the brown and the khaki but I had commented a couple of weeks ago when she wore that beautiful camel coloured coat that I wish she would wear browns and taupes more often so I was just elated to see her wear those long wide leg pants that were hemmed exactly as they should be not dragging on the ground! I just think that this couple can do no wrong and they both very well for the future! Now I am not biased by my affection for the Cambridge is at all ha ha Ha! By the way I received my Hold Still book this week and I also received from Royal Mail Her Majesty’s at 95th birthday stamp first day cover and coin which was reasonably price I think £20? Anyhow the book is very substantial and because of my left arm being the way it is I have yet to be able to look at it because it’s quite heavy and it is a huge book, but I am looking forward to the day when I can hold it and I can enjoy looking at the pictures! Again I say Catherine kudos to you on your fabulous projects! Catherine I also wonder if you’re stealing my word wowza because when you met with Mila for tea, you said wowza as she showed her dress twirling. I’m wondering are you borrowing from PG?? Aka me?? 😂😂😂🤣🤣Catherine you are most welcome to share the word while that I think we are the only two people on the planet that still say it ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!
OK now onto our Harry. Heads together in the UK and many other mental health organizations around the world are doing fabulous work. CBT or cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive restructuring, EDMR, Hipnosis, that’s spelt wrong but hey I’m dictating hypnosis is spelled HYPNO either we go anyhow those are all legitimate therapies done when they’re done by trained professionals! One thing that has always driven me crazy about Oprah and Dr. Phil who is her who is her surrogate,  is they do mumbo-jumbo therapy on tv and have people share their just horrific interpersonal stories with an audience and a television audience! It just it just sickens me to make people so vulnerable for attention and ratings and money and advertising! When I saw Harry doing the tapping and whatever I just felt whether he was doing it for real or whether he’s towing the line as I believe it is just so wrong to show somebody at their most vulnerable!! It just sickens me.
However let’s let us ask ourselves why is this happening now? When ‘her’, l will continue to use the descriptor ‘her’ was doing all the talking a.k.a. lying because every time her lips move we know she’s lying and now she’s been silent. But for the last well since about the time that the Duke of Edinburgh passed away Harry allegedly has flown back to the to the United States where apparently he’s lived for two years one article said which surprises me but anyways what what’s truth and in articles. And he has been everywhere good morning America that all these Apple things with Oprah and celebrities and doing this and that and the other all for mental health!
You know sometimes it’s too much of a good thing. There’s a lot of excellent organizations in Canada there’s a CMH a Canadian mental health Association all over the world. But this constant stream of video and him in our face that’s not normal and the things he saying or lies and their provable lies that they’re not difficult at all. This is NOT NORMAL! IT IS A DELIBERATE OVERSATURATION FILLED WITH SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES IN THE VIDEOS, TRUST ME, SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES IN ADVERTISING IS REAL. TAKE A MAGNIFYING GLASS TO A FASHION MAGAZINE AND LOOK CLOSELY. YOU WILL BE AMAZED WHAT IS EMBEDDED IN THEM. JUST LIKE THE DISNEY VIDEOS THAT WERE SHOWN TO HAVE ADULT DRAWINGS.
In knowing Harry’s dedication to his Queen, his grandmother and his grandfather why on earth would he pick the first few days after the funeral to dig in like this and go so public? Why? We really must ask ourselves why? I will tell you why he is continuing to expose evil! There are all kinds of organizations that I’m not gonna name any “churches” some start with the letter S which many celebrities are members of Tom C is one. These organizations manipulate people and just like the NIXVM did in Canada. These backers are evil people and they’re willing to use people for anything in anyway at any purpose. The last picture I saw of Harry it was a video but I didn’t watch the video he looks so pale and so gaunt and so unwell that even though I believe he is doing the right thing and exposing all this and eventually hopefully eventually this will wrap up with him being free and everyone brought to justice let’s hope and pray, this is taking a terrible toll on him an absolute terrible toll. I have to again harken back to London scoop, everything has come to pass that she foretold way back several years ago when she came upon this information about this plot. I did a post one post last week where I propose the thought that the plot to integrate the British royal family began in the 1990s with princess Diana and I still believe that. I don’t know all the reasons or who the people would be but things things are just smelling very funny very very funny and I don’t mean funny as in laughter I mean funny as an off off off off!!!
So I say let us continue to pray for our Queen her family pray for the Cambridges, that they all stay safe and healthy the whole family to especially pray for Harry, whether do you think he’s doing his duty or you think he’s fallen under her trap and has become some whimpering child, pray for him all the more then because he needs it. If you really believe that he is he is doing this on his own free will because he’s mesmerized by her or he is woke and has become part of the woke world my goodness he needs more prayer than ever! To be released from these bondages!!
OK kids that’s my more than my two cents worth! As you all know it’s never one word thing with me I am very elaborative! I miss you all miss you and you all know who you are! Take care sending you all my love and prayers, PG!! I beg you all please don’t forget about me because I shall return I shall return!

I just feel like I’ve let everybody down by not being able to do the stories about the Cambridges. But I shall return soon hopefully in a week I’ll see how my arm is but it’s getting better hopefully in a week.
