      it's not like she was WAITING for cisco to get back to star labs — she just happened to be hanging out in the cortex when he arrived, feet propped up on the desk and ankles crossed. even though she's not FULLY paying attention, frost still hears him attempt to sneak by her to his lab, and she's immediately moving to corner him. the temperature drops almost five degrees as she tilts his head up slightly, eyes scanning over his face before getting caught on a bright red line of blood at the corner of his mouth.

      to anyone who DIDN’T know her, anyone outside of team flash that is, she might look calm, almost indifferent, but it feels like her stomach has dropped down into her shoes. as gently as she can, she wipes away the streak of blood with her thumb, and it's only after she does that she looks him in the eyes once more. ❝ who DID this to you? ❞ she asks, her voice filled with a B A R E L Y restrained anger, her free hand balled up into a fist at her side.
