A long time ago, i used to tell people that for awhile i worked at a guess your weight and age booth at an amusement park. Whenever i said this no one ever doubted me. Sometimes they'd ask me to guess their weight and age. i'd look 'em up and down and say something like, "You're twenty seven, NO! twenty six and you weigh... one... forty." i was never even close to right, not even once. Those people would tell me, "No. i'm 29 and i weigh 135." And then i'd tell them, "Yeah, i wasn't really good at it. i gave out way too many stuffed animals. i didn't have THAT job long."

Rachel still overreacts, and accuses Santana of setting out to destroy their friendship by stealing Fanny from her. Santana is so offended that she retaliates by saying she absolutely WILL steal the role now, even though she wasn’t going to before. A fight ensues. Rachel still slaps her.

Kurt is 100% on Santana’s side this time as he saw how hurt she was when Rachel accused her of betraying their friendship. He’s able to talk Rachel down shortly after the fight. “If Santana wanted to stab you in the back, you’d already be dead.”

Rachel is flattered by Santana’s imitation of her own DROMP performance from years earlier. She says as much afterward but Santana insists it’s a coincidence “you’re not the first person to walk through a door, Berry.” They both know this is a lie.

The Funny Girl press all revolves around their friendship. Journalists pick up on the vibe and begin to question Rachel’s sexuality, to which Santana consistently replies with “Rachel is exclusively interested in losers.” This is fine until the day Rachel, exhausted from rehearsals and lacking a filter, quips back a playful “don’t be so hard on yourself, Santana” and it spreads over the internet like wildfire. They do not discuss it ever again.

They reprise ‘You & I’ for their 100th episode duet, changing all the pronouns to be she/her and singing it solely to each other, but neither of them see anything remotely gay about this. The New Directions nominate Kurt to break the news. It does not go well.
