hm. now that Will's birthday is back for discussion... I do want to believe that the Duffers lied about forgetting it. But then I'd be wondering until the 1st why everyone in-universe forgot.

If the Duffers were lying, I want to say that Will's birthday and the fact that the UD is seemingly stuck on the day Will disappeared are connected. The biggest thing is why Jonathan and Joyce would have forgotten Will's birthday. That sounds very unlike them.. I wanna say it could be something UD-related too. like how Will started to forget things when he was possessed, other characters could start forgetting things about Will.

Now that we officially know that Peter’s name, and possibly his entire bio, was a lie (ugh, a lie is not a twist…), what does that mean about the Duffers saying they forgot Will’s birthday?

i love that the TLK movie kinda implies that england becomes the christian majority country it will be in small (but significant) part because aethelstan — considered by modern historians as its first king — was a gay man who believed that his piousness would absolve him of his sin. even believing in the movie that spreading christianity would balance out his sin of sodomy... inspired by a pagan man (masquerading as a christian — as a holy man at that—) he was so besotted with he was willing to choose said man over his country. the concept of it all... incredible creative vision.

apart from the tragedy both political and personal in the actual movie, there is something so strikingly meta-tragic about the story's implication of generations upon generations of future queer suffering happening because a powerful gay man believed he was powerless under the chrisitian god. obviously i don't know if this was intentional because the movie ends after uhtred pledges northumbria to the king so we don't know for sure what TLK aethelstan would have done afterwards. but the historical and fictional implications are still there and boy are they juicy

it'd be fun if they had a scene in S5 similar to when a classmate tried to flirt with Will, except this time Mike's around to see it. Like if the rest of the party volunteers at the gym and some cute girl or guy approaches Will within Mike's vicinity.

Or it doesn't even have to be Will being flirted to or being romantically linked to someone else. There's a lot of ways to go about it. They could split up into groups again and Mike could noticeably insist on being grouped with Will. Or Dustin and Lucas could hang around Will (because of course they missed their friend too!) for more than Mike's liking.

S4 had Mike and Will spend the entire season with each other. Mike literally had Will all to himself for most of S4. That has to affect him in S5 when there's a lot more people to compete with for Will's attention. Especially if the Duffers aren't lying out of their ass again and Will is actually gonna have something major to do with the plot in S5.

I wanna see Jealous!Mike so. so. so bad. I want Mike to see Will with someone else and feel a FRACTION of the hurt he’s caused Will over the years. and it want it to wake him up to his love for Will.

For reasons only known to them, Traja team uploaded the full version of the Level Up MV with absolutely no notice yesterday lol They set up a premiere for the short version, but this one they just uploaded on a random ass hour lmao

But anyway, I've gotten super into this song, lol. the chiptune appeal, the video game inspired lyrics, it all works for me. Apple Music Replay keeps a working count until the end of the year and this is already in my top 3 with 300+ plays in 3 weeks, lol. I just cannot get enough! And the choreographyyyyyyy. It's adorable. Adorable!

awooooooo. spoutible looks like it'll be a perfect fit for fandom people who don't like proshippers, lol. I keep running into them in the explore tab being super excited about how the site can tell them who's "problematic" via the in-built bot sentinel score on each account. May they all migrate there and leave the rest of the internet free for all the weirdos of the world. spoutible's current policies are actually very supportive of puritanical-leaning rhetoric tbh just because of how vague they are, and its founder got into a tiff with a romance novelist about the NSFW guidelines just a few months before. Let's see if anything changes in the days ahead.

Also El 100% did not commission that picture. Firstly El had no idea what Will was working on and that was literally stated by her in a letter to Mike. “Will is painting a lot. But he won’t show me what, maybe it is for a girl.” Yeah no. She did not commission that.

Second Will looked away when saying that he refused to look at Mike. He lied to Mike, and he feels so guilty by the little glances he gives.

He HATES lying to Mike as seen in Vol 1 at Rink-O-Mania. But he is so in love with Mike that he would rather see Mike be happy with El then just tell the truth. He is so selfless, WILL YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BE SELFISH FOR ONCE🥺 maybe we will get that addressed next season?

Also mikes speech just being a copy and paste of Wills words leading me to not believe a word out of Mike Wheelers stupid ass mouth.

though tbh I was in at the "will definitely watch barbie" camp before the "vietnam bans barbie film due to background scene depicting the nine-dash line" news came about. as a SEAsian that did pretty much dissuade me completely from the film. Especially with these studio people being all like it's just "child-like drawing"...ok.

Though I'm seeing rumblings it'll probably get banned in my country too, so lol Whether or not I (or anyone here) can watch it in cinemas might not even be an option soon

After watching a video from a make-up youtuber I really liked, I looked at the comment section.... and found an interestingly not-so nice comment. It was like very catty in a negging sort of way. And when I clicked on the username, they had a 150+ comment history on the channel with the most recent highlighted comments in that same negative vein! It was a little unsettling to be honest. Like I knew hate watchers like this existed, but to see one in the wild.... And with 150+ comments too!! Like, these videos aren't short — the one I just watched was 19min for example — and the details in the comments suggest they *finish* these videos too. Just, wow... They're really committed to being a hater.
