Yep, I like to think that she was a Slytherin. I can’t wait to see a true nice person in Slytherin. A complex caracter like Snape. Lot of people used to think that all SLytherin are bad persons. But nooo ! No, no, no, that’s soo wrong ! I like bad persons though… ^^

I love Slytherin. But I love Hufflepuff too. Soooo, a love story (or strong friendship) between a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin, this would be… Perfect !

Do you think Delphini was raised by Euphemia in the VoldmortWins!AU or how did she come to the name the Augurey in that universe ?

Oh, no. I’m reasonably sure she was raised by her parents. 

The Rowles were fanatical supporters, okay; but with Voldy alive and victorious, Bellatrix around and the family net (Lestranges and Malfoys) intact I’m sure Delphi would’ve grow up with all of them and very, very away from lesser families. 

Sure, Draco calling her “the Augurey” and not “your cousin” in front of Scorpius raise some questions, but there are many possible reasons for it. Maybe he was trying to be professional, or didn’t wanted “Scorpion King” to run to her and thus mentioned her dangerous public persona and not the family member, or they weren’t on good terms. Or he was trying to avoid the worst: Delphi being aware of Scorpius’s strange behavior and -maybe with good intentions- consulting her parents about it. Not good, right? 

Now, with Euphemia and her bird out of the equation, why the Augurey nonetheless?

 @kokosek93-blog and I had almost the same discussion some time ago and one of the theories (which has since been my accepted headcanon as I spent more time thinking about this timeline) was: 

Voldemort had quite the interest in symbolism and building an iconography and he could’ve influenced Delphi/passed the interest to her.  

The Augurey’s historical monicker is “Irish Phoenix���, so it could’ve been seen and interpreted as a dark replacement for Dumbledore’s Fawkes. A perversion of the Order symbol and hope, if you like. Then there’s the likeness between the bird name and the augures, the roman seers who used bird’s bowels to predict the future (which also ties with a Gaunt back from 1700 but dunno if Voldy nor Delphi discovered about him). 

Last but not in importance, Augurey’s cries were believed to foretold death in wizards superstition, so Delphi could’ve chose the name to connect this particular legend to her role as punisher/the one who ordered sentences to be carried out in her father’s name.

1. I do collect scale and action figures, mostly from the Fate series 2. Very chatty on the web, 100% shy with my peers IRL. I’m more comfortable around older people 3. Follow politics closely but I want none of that on my blog, as a general rule. If you do see something, I was probably enraged to a bad degree. 4. I broke with my best friend on 1st college/university year and was, like, pretty bad. I dropped out almost entirely from lessons and exams as a result, got very close to depression and now Im slowly recovering from those very painful years, which is why I haven’t graduated yet  5.
