2 AUs (2/2): Kirsty Gilmore in Poster Child Prodigy, a Raised By Her Grandparents AU

Stitch by stitch, I tear apart, if brokenness is a form of art, I must be a poster child prodigy Lorelai Gilmore was only sixteen years old, she couldn’t raise two kids.  She wanted to, but she just couldn’t do it.  For the six months, still living with her parents, it was fine.  There was never a shortage of maids to help, Emily would help when she wasn’t otherwise occupied reminding Lorelai that the girls should have a father to help, and Lorelai really thought that she could handle it.  But then she left, and she knew that she couldn’t take them both with her.  So she took her precious little Rory, the daughter she’d named after herself, and left Kirsty behind.  For almost sixteen years, Kirsty was raised to believe that she was Emily and Richard’s youngest daughter, an oops baby when they thought Emily could no longer get pregnant.  Raised in the lap of luxury, a cold manor and colder parents but anything money could buy.  Kirsty was the perfect child, the replacement for every way that Lorelai had failed to live up to their parents’ expectations, the princess of the DAR, a professional ballerina, effortlessly charming, she was the doll that Emily had always wanted. But weeks before her sixteenth birthday, Rory gets accepted into Chilton, and her estranged sister and niece fall back into her life.  After years of non-existent contact, Kirsty knew it wouldn’t go smoothly.  She expected the drama, the fights, the years of built up resentment, the old baggage that would resurface.  She didn’t expect to find out that her entire life had been a lie. Thread by thread, I come apart, if brokenness is a work of art, surely this must be my masterpiece

No , RWBY is neither misogynistic nor homophobic...it is every bit the opposite

Rwby not written for the male gaze. Redesigns made by critics focus on sexualizing women.  RWBY has women show much less skin than the typical fairy tail woman. Also their clothes have pockets and pouches. Rwby is not written for the patriarchy.

So Personally I've always felt like misogyny was always made by the critics. A common thread in a lot of that group's criticisms seems to come down to not liking that some of the show's villains embody male power fantasies, and that the positive male characters it has aren't the main characters, with the female characters being a harem for them.

It's a female-centered story whose true focus is its main characters' growing and supporting each other through their weaknesses and struggles, and a lot of men can't stand it.

Rewrites and AUs focus on men, on straightwashing women, on validating edgelords, on telling women that they suck. And more importantly,  rewrites are obsessed with not letting women be right about anything or important unless they're tied to a male protagonist story.

But Rwby is about giving women roles typically held by men. Women not requiring men for authority, or guidance, but instead being men's equals. Or in the case of the female antagonists? Having mental superiority over deconstructed edgelords like Adam taurus or the "ends justify the means" deconstruction of ironwood.

They have girlfails like Cinder, who you can hate, but also admire that she keeps coming back and refusing to give up.

They have badass grannies like Maria Calavera.

They have autism-coded women.

And unlike Naruto? Women can actually WIN a 1 on 1 fight against a male opponent.

Edgelord is what incels see themselves as. Incels also see themselves as victims of women. They also see themselves as tragic,  misunderstood,  or entitled to an ego.

Adam is the example of the incel: "I was hurt by society, so I am going to make it everyone's problem! I am a hero of justice, for I am giving the world the justice it deserves! I am an underdog!"

That's how incels, conservatives, otakus see themselves.

They saw Adam as a Vergil Sparda. A dude who murders countless innocent lives for the sake of power.....who believes that power is the only thing matters. He ain't morally grey, he's evil. But he's cool, and to a lot of very emotionally immature people, coolness means morally grey or anti-villain/anti-hero. Adam was introduced trying to rob a train and blow up innocent people....people accused blake of being a murderer and trying to blow up the train, then running from adam. Adam was shown in volume 2, as a cult leader neglecting the deaths of his people. As with "Burning the candle" Yang and Blake scene, RWDE and RWBY Critics disregarded that because it ruined their headcanons of what they wanted Adam to be.

How many Adam fanfics have you seen where Blake is written as the one abusing adam?

Male abusers see themselves as victims of women.

Coffeehouse Crime, Danielle Kirsty, Eleanor Neale. Look them up on Youtube. They cover multiple cases of murderers and abusers. And the details that go into emotional and mental abuse/gaslighting? They cover them all. Including how society turns a blind eye to abuse if its not physical. Which is what Adam fans do.

Btw, if you want an example of a murderer who was an IRL abuser? Just look up OJ Simpson, who got away with both thanks to his fans.

RWBY covers emotional abuse, shows the damage it can do, and shows through Blake the recovery.

Arryn has been a victim of IRL cyberbullying from blacksun fans, BobxEliza fans, and Adam fans.

To where she's had to deactivate her social media.

Art imitates life....RWBY Critics harassing voice actresses. Though thefloofartist actually sent CRWBY gore fanart of Bumbleby and tauradonna ntr fanart, that was horrific.

Roman Torchwick is an example of charismatic sociopaths being the criminal: Society was mean to me, so I'm going to be racist, steal from the elderly, and hurt kids. Sure he has charisma as a character....does that excuse racism, calling Emerald a Street Rat, trying to rob old men, and shooting teenage girls

Jacques emotional abuse and gaslighting, something many people refuse to acknowledge unless its clearly spelled out from A to Z. One Adam taurus fan on twitter made death threats to a woman trying to explain that emotional abuse is real.

Raven is a bandit. A bandit is a killer and a thief. You don't romanticize killers and thieves. One piece paints an unrealistic view of pirates. 

Ironwood and Atlas represent the American Macho mindset and the nationalism issue Americans have. Illegally occupying foreign nations with military force as a means of "peacekeeping"? Removing leaders from power who don't respect your authority or your ideas? My way or the highway? Unwilling to compromise? Willing to work with capitalist Corporations so long as your war machine is funded? The ends justify the means? Only villains say that! Merging the police with the military to have unlimited power? Putting the good ethical cop "Marrow" under pressure and mockery? Treating the poor people as acceptable losses to cut and cutting all aid and support to the 99%? Arresting or threatening good samaritans who try to help the impoverished and underprivileged because they're not recognized by your licenses? Refusing to accept checks and balances because you see yourself as above the law and being the only one with the big picture? Seeing it as your duty to police others?

People were willing to consider Ironwood a sussy baka so long as they could consider Atlas to be like Germany. But the moment CRWBY pointed out how Atlas was too much like America? The "patriots" got furious...because it was too much like looking into a mirror, and the Ironwood fangirls did not like what they saw.

Less character bloat compared to shounen anime. Shounen has thousands of character. RWBY barely has 200. But they focus more on women's characters than men, and that upsets the Cardin fans and fanfic writers. If I had a nickel for every youtube channel that decided to make the racist incompetent bully into some "gigachad", I'd have two nickels, which isn't much, but still weird that it happened twice. Meanwhile, let a man have 3-5 minutes of screentime, the critics will say that Team RWBY don't act like the main characters. Protagonist centered morality only in shounen. Team rwby do face consequences and are forced to evaluate their decisions. The women are the protagonists, and they can spend more than 10 minutes without breaking the Bechdel test. Something that, once again, adam and cardin and jaune fanfics fail within a paragraph.

Ichigo and Rukia from Bleach, One Piece Live Action, Naruto and Sakura from that Gay Ninja Series.

Or in RWBY's case, I'm referring Blake Belladonna and Sun Wukong

Neither showed romantic attraction towards either gender for the majority of the show. Blake and Sun's arcs in V4 and V5 were about Blake learning to accept help, and Sun learning to recognize and respect people's boundaries. Neither Blake nor Sun actually made serious advances, and simply stayed good friends. Also if lesbians cannot exist without being fan service to you, that just means you're a pervert and need to touch grass.

Anyway, whomever said that RWBY Writers have no idea how to write women need to take a look at how their critics make video after video bashing women and LGBT.

Oh, and twitter calls RWBY post v3 "pandering to tumblerinas".

Given how Tumblr has no pedophiles/lolicons, less conservatives and terfs, and is very feminist? I'll take that as a compliment.

is there any deciding factor between wether or not a seymour gets the corset with a rounded top rather than the sharp one - and also in general what was up with the top of leah’s bodice

It really comes down to who made the costume. Since the separate corset for Seymour was introduced there have been three makers and each has done different details.

Most UK costumes until UKT 23-24 were made by Kirsti Reid who made the rounded cups and longer corsets. US, Canada and all cruises starting with Breakaway 3.0 have/had costumes made by John Kristiansen who has had a few different makers all following the same style, the shorter straight corset with pointed cups. And there were a few NCS makes for cruises that mostly followed the JK style.

Recently they standarized corsets to JK makes so now everyone gets the pointed cups, but it seems like the dresses for UK and AUS are still a different maker so you will see that corset with both the fitted US skirt and the wide UK skirt.

As for Leah. The cups are just weird. In general with UK corsets the split between the white vinyl and the mesh sections was in the middle of the cup, in her case it went all the way to the top creating a very sharp curve that made the cups look off when you weren't looking at it from the top.

Just for nerds, apparently. In The Wrath of Khan, the braid was black/gold checks. From The Voyage Home, the braid was changed with a patterned ribbon that had been seen on admiral maroon since then. Despite working from a generic pre-Wrath of Khan timesetting, I decided to stick with the latter.

Final touches given back in July 2022 (7th). It was held back because I had the utopic dream of combine it with Spock's in an OMS Wives manip. Since it's akin to impossible with this specific pics I used...

The PSD file is dated May 2016 but it might predate the coping of the files on this new computer, so I might have started this in a previous date. For the sake of anal archiving, I might update this note when/if I turn the old PC on and check the original creation date of the file.

Summary: When Tristan was sent to military school, he made Kirsty promise that she would move on, that she would think about her own happiness for once.  And she had tried.  Over the next few months, she’d found herself growing closer and closer to Jess, until the accident.  His sudden departure brought an abrupt end to whatever could have been growing between them.

Even after her blowout fight with Lorelai, she’d hoped that a summer on Broadway would be exactly what she needed to keep her promise, to clear her head and hit reset, but it was proving to be just the opposite. Exhausted, lonely, and ready to pack up and give in, Kirsty is quickly losing faith in New York.

That is, until something — fate, a panic attack, a thunderstorm, a lack of any clean clothes, take your pick — led her into a small diner and Jess Mariano’s arms.  

Title: The Girl Who Drove Away

Premise: After high school graduation, Kirsty and Jess leave Stars Hollow for their own Great American Road Trip, canon divergent after season 3

Love Interest: Jess Mariano

Summary: Kirsty Gilmore had always had her life planned out.  She would dance whenever the opportunity presented itself, graduate high school at the top of her class, go to Yale — majoring in dance studies, then going to law school — and work for the New York ballet for as long as her body would let her.  It was written in her DNA: she would get her early decision for Yale and the sickening ball of anxiety in her gut would unravel, she would get away from the judging eyes of Chilton and the harsh criticisms of both her parents and grandparents, she would finally get her fresh start.

But when she crossed the stage with her high school diploma in hand, Jess gave her a new option.  Get in the car and just go.  He was going to follow his father out to California, stick around the West Coast for as long as it worked out.  He was going to live his own On The Road, have his great American road trip, write the next great American novel.  And the passenger seat had her name written on it.  All she had to do was take the risk.  She could be mad, she could chase the sun, she could finally find freedom.  All she had to do was get in the car and go.

It should have been an easy decision.  After all, she was the valedictorian, and the valedictorian goes to college.

But, what if she doesn’t?

He was expecting the stuck up rich kids, the condescending teachers, and even the bullshit social ladder.  He wasn’t expecting the whirlwind that was Kirsty Gilmore.

Title: Lost In The Memory

Premise: august au

Love Interest: Jess Mariano

Summary: When Tristan left for military school, Kirsty found her eyes — and thoughts — wandering towards Jess Mariano.  She knew that nothing would come of it, he only had eyes for Rory, but she couldn’t stop herself from hoping.  Then came the car accident — which was not Jess’ fault, no matter what her mother might say — and Jess left, and Kirsty said goodbye to that hope.  But when she found herself in New York, stumbling into Jess’ diner, her hope came back.  And when she found herself in his bed, she no longer needed to hope.

Summer was everything she could have wanted.  It was almost too good to be true, really, but she knew that it would have to end.  After all, she was going back to Stars Hollow, and as far as she knew, Jess wasn’t.She should have been excited to be proven wrong.  She would have been excited, if she hadn’t found out by seeing him making out with Shane in the middle of town; if he hadn’t gone right back to only having eyes for Rory.

At least she still had the memories, but memory might not be enough to make up for the hurt she felt.

Summary: When Jess climbed out the hospital window, respecting Kirsty’s desire to keep he and Lorelai apart, he made her promise to call him.  He expected her to check in, to ask where he’d gone and to let him know that she was okay.  He didn’t expect her to call him in tears, telling him that her mom had invited her dad to visit despite Kirsty begging her not to tell him.  “I can’t be here anymore,” she’d told him, the words desperate but not untrue.

When Kirsty called Jess, she’d only been planning to confirm that she was home and — mostly — okay.  She hadn’t expected to break down in tears when he’d asked how she was, to tell him that her fractured ankle had killed her shot at a Broadway role, or to confess to how desperately she wanted to be away from Christopher, away from her mother.  

Neither of them had anticipated that Jess would drive up from New York, knocking on her window in the middle of the night with an offer of freedom, an invitation to get in the passenger’s seat of his car and just... leave.

And they definitely hadn’t expected that she would say yes.

Rythian crumpled to the ground, dropping to his knees as his clenched fists struck the earth, letting out a cry that aggravated the heavens. “Rythian!” Familiar voices called out from behind him. A vapor of lavender magic escaped his eyes as they fluttered open, returning him back to reality. His throat burned, did he scream while he was in a daze? He felt cool droplets running down his face, were those tears? Or perhaps it was the rain, it had to be the rain. Regardless, Rythian quickly rubbed his face with a hand before the girls arrived. Kirsty and Briony finally found him. “There you are! You made us worried sick,” Kirsty scolded him with her hands on her hips while Briony sat beside him with a paw on his back as she carried a worried look. They were lucky to find him unharmed thanks to that deafening cry. Rythian sat back on his knees, turning towards them, “I’m…” he paused, swallowing any saliva he had to cool his throat, “I’m sorry. Let’s go home.”

thank you for creating the blackrock chronicles, it is a wonderful immersive series that is loved by many to this day. also thank you for choosing to not finish the series. it was a hard decision to make but being burnt out is honestly awful and building sets with the limitations you had in a cubed world as well as with limited time is difficult, I know both experiences very well,,, used to build for a minecraft server to the point of burn out. nonetheless the unfinished series allowed us, the fans, a chance to have fun with our own crazy versions of an ending and opened doors to many AUs and headcannons we get to share with one another. I struggle to write whether it was for school or as a hobby to this day, however this series has always been a big motivator when I try to write and I'm grateful. thank you again

Apologies for the late response! I was a few streams behind on KirbyCraft so I wanted to be fully caught up before answering. So KirbyCraft isn't really a rp but there is some lore and plenty of nods to Blackrock, so I have broken it down by stream in case there is a specific moment you are interested in/want to watch for yourself!

Stream 1: 20/01/2023 - Rythian died immediately - Rythian "finagled" his way into the group - "You can't trust endermen" - Ryhian is the only one with a brain cell "deep breaths rythian, deep breaths" - (Exasperated) "don't cause trouble with the endermen!" "don't cause war with the endermen, that's like 3 seasons from now" - "I can give you all the lore if you want" "Their entire world got ruined by a big ol' magical experiment so now it's a wasteland" - (after being called edgy) "listen. edge is my history. I can't pretend I wasn't an edgy boy. I'm holding onto that" - In response to "if we're cold, they're cold" about endermen "He's not cold - he comes from a dimension of void. He has no sense of temperature!"

Stream 2: 27/01/2023 - Rythian is assigned the leaky room below the farm (even out of rp rythian gets the shitty room)

Stream 3: 03/02/2023 - Rythian is a canonical boob man - (In response to Briony being excited about the idea of getting an enderman to pick up a pumpkin) "why are you so excited about an enderman, they re evil" "Briony, you are so naive, you'll be the death of me one day"

Stream 4: 10/02/2023 - (About endermen) "I may or may not speak that language"

Stream 5: 24/02/2023 - Au is different from blackrock lore (Rythian can be friends with endermen)

Stream 6: 03/03/2023 - The gang decides to live in a woodland mansion Rythian's wrestling intro is "the voodoo people" (pendulum remix) by Prodegy - "I may not have a finatical hatred for endermen, based on my character's backstory, anymore, but they're still dangerous enemies!" - Rythian goes into how he joined the Yogscast and that he has always had a passion for creative projects so the moment he had the chance to make one, he made Blackrock

Stream 7: 10/03/2023 - Rythian says endermen deserve nothing but then backtracks and says they can have a block. Is deemed a "big softie" for showing the smallest amount of not-hatred towards endermen - Rythian blames a portion of their house burning on an enderman - Rythian (about getting xp back after dying) "I guess I gotta go either go on a killing spree or find some nether quarts I suppose" Briony "Oh, no it's happening. Rythian has reached peak evil Rythian" "It's the evil alt-rythian"

Stream 8: 17/03/2023 - "Beginning of my villain arc? maybe" literally 5 seconds later quotes the lil jon remix of cooking by the Book - Kirsty calls the idea of the end cute Rythian: "It's not. It's terrifying and despair enducing"

Stream 9: 31/03/2023 - Rythian suggests giving the enderman that lives in their house a gift (something pretty that grows) because the End is devoid of anything twits a conversation about bears to (half-jokingly) say that it is okay that he kills endermen because it is 'in his nature'

Stream 10: 14/04/2023 - Only briony can tame endermen by looking them in the eye. Rythian jokes about how many mystery mods are in the mod pack and how he would prefer that all endermen are automatically hostile and "go full-on ender-war" - Rythian is against adding a big-titty-endermen mod - Because the end was transformed into a wasteland with no resources/food, its inhabitants changed into a form that could survive without sustenance. Endermen can survive most poisons, diseases, and curses. - Rythian compares the 'friendermen' to slave soldiers - Rythian describes as an "angy boy" - Originally Nilesy was supposed to be a part of KirbyCraft

Stream 11: 21/04/2023 - Rythian doesn't like that the endermen seem to think that their mansion is a safe place for them - Rythian tries to befriend an enderman and it says "I remember you" - Rythian acknowledges the usefulness of befriending endermen
