π΅ It shocked Mikey enough that you still loved him even though he wasn't the same happy-go-lucky boy he was years ago, instead, he grew into a emotionless and dead-appearing individual
π΅ So, when he heard that you were pregnant, he'd be lying if he said he didn't feel a small bit of love grow inside his now cold-heart
π΅ Mikey was very good when it came to caring for you during your pregnancy, he would have the others go get you things you needed, since he suspected someone was after him and you
π΅ After all, being pregnant slows down a woman from whooping ass
π΅ It was surprising, but, when you went into labor and you were yelling at him as he tried calming you down, Mikey stayed as calm as ever
π΅ He would slightly flinch at the loud screams of pain you let out, and he was honestly kinda scared he may lose you when the gang's doctor rushed you to lay down and stay calm
" Mr. Sano, sir, would you like to hold your baby? "
π΅ Looking behind him, he stared at his first child, a son, and he felt a shimmer of happiness and sadness rush through him at the same time, it reminded him of when he first met Emma, how he cared for her automatically without any reason
π΅ As he held your baby, he let a tear rush down his cheek as you chuckled at his small moment of vulnerability, something he swore he would never show was in-fact showing, he was still human inside
π΅ Now, while your son grew up, Mikey was a hint of a helicopter-father, he runs a very dangerous organization, one that is being hunted by authorities constantly, and he had enough to do when worrying about you, but, his son was so similar to younger him
π΅ The boy would run up to strangers and make them laugh without a care in the world as Mikey would hide himself deeper in a hoodie while you got your son back to you guys
π΅ But, despite many beliefs, he's a decent father
π΅ Mikey would put some things behind and would play with his son, for example, if his son wanted to mess around with some sock puppets and make a story, Mikey would indulge him and mess with him, making his voice deepen and rise for his son's laugh to erupt
π΅ He does have his faults though, as his work can end up making his son mature faster than a child should, or he could end up saying or doing something that upset you, making his son start disconnecting with him
π΅ Overall, he's a 7.5/10 father, he's good in certain situations and bad in others

πͺ Sanzu and you have known one another for years, planting the first time you ever met nearly 10 years prior to this one
πͺ When he went through the years of torturous addictions, whether it be to alcohol or drugs that he somehow got a hold of through means even you didn't know of, you were always there to pull him away
πͺ Because of those issues, he had no idea why you settled for him of all people, you were so beautiful, you could've gotten with any other member of Bonten, maybe even his own boss
πͺ But, you settled with him, the guy who had nearly overdosed from his drugs and alcohol multiple times
πͺ While pushing those hateful thoughts of himself to the back of his brain, Sanzu had gone through multiple attempts of rehabilitation, and after a few failures and your threat of leaving him, he began taking it seriously, he loves you and he needs you to be there
πͺ It took a while, but, once he made it to your first milestone of a year of sobriety, you gave him a reward, which led to something bigger than expected
πͺ You had gotten pregnant, leaving Sanzu is shock, and his brain nearly, nearly, slipped away to him grabbing a large bottle of whiskey and wine mixed with a large bag of his old drugs
πͺ In the midst of his panic-attack, it took Kakucho's words of affirmation with his boss' assurance of him getting a form of paternity leave to just calm him down
πͺ He takes excellent care of you during your pregnancy, and that carried onto him as a father, to a degree, that is
πͺ When you went into labor, he was panicking badly, he had nearly passed out when you began to scream in pain, and during this mass of chaos, the doctor had to usher Ran and Rindou to take him out of the room
πͺ Hearing your screams of agony stop made his heart sink, what happened? Were you okay? How was his baby? Oh God, what if he lost you and the baby?! How would he live with himself?!
" Mr. Haruchiyo, your wife and daughter are in perfect condition. Would you like to come and see them? " " Yes! I- I mean, yes, please. "
πͺ When he held your daughter for the first time, he swore on his life he would protect you guys from everything, including himself. And, that day, he swore to stay sober for good. No fuck ups this time, he couldn't, no, he wouldn't risk harming his child and his own wife
πͺ Ever since your daughter was born, the rest of Bonten began to hide their deals from your home more often, by orders of Mikey, since, he knew how a traumatizing childhood can affect someone
πͺ Sanzu loves to play with her, for example, at just a few months old until she was around maybe seven years old, he would pick her up and toss her in the air for him to catch
πͺ Unlike Mikey, Sanzu doesn't really fear anyone harming his child, if they were a boy that is, he has a full-fledged belief that boys are far more feared than women, so, whenever his daughter starts talking to a stranger, he glares from behind her to make sure that random guy didn't even attempt touching her
πͺ He definitely tries holding back his tears during her first day of school, or really during any massive part of her life, especially when she graduated and moved out, his baby was so old now... he's getting back pain!
" Dad... I'm just moving across the street in another apartment, don't worry! I'll come see you and Mom whenever I can! Please don't cry! " " I'm not crying about that! Your Mother swat a fly earlier, I feel bad for the fly! "

β€οΈβπ₯ This guy is the definition of husband and father material, that I cannot deny
β€οΈβπ₯ When you guys started dating, he always had the idea of your future, from marriage to having children, whenever he would come home from a fight all injured, he would ask you if this was what you really wanted
β€οΈβπ₯ Did you really want to be with him? For crying out loud, he could get possibly killed at any time! This especially set in when you guys lost Izana (I believe that still happens... correct me if I'm wrong!)
β€οΈβπ₯ It still shocks him to this day on the fact you married him, he worked for Bonten, a gang very well known for their heinous actions, all members, including Kakucho himself, have done horrible things, how could you look him in the eye, nonetheless propose having children?
β€οΈβπ₯ You really surprise him at every turn, don't you?
β€οΈβπ₯ He smiled and gave you the thumbs up. Thankfully, it didn't take very long for you to find out you were pregnant, and as your stomach grew, he read many books on parenthood, he couldn't risk his child having a childhood as rough as he did
β€οΈβπ₯ When you went into labor, he was scared out of his mind, all of a sudden the floor was wet and you were heaving over in pain, leaving him to carry you bridal-style as he ran to Bonten's doctor
" I think they're in labor, Doctor! " " Girls! Get her in the delivery room, stat! "
β€οΈβπ₯ Hearing you scream in pain made him flinch as Kokonoi and Takeomi tried keeping him from busting down the door to comfort you
β€οΈβπ₯ Once the doctor came outside of the room and asked for him to come inside, he burst past the man dressed in scrubs and hugged you as you laid on the bed with a blanket in your arms
β€οΈβπ₯ You hushed him and held up your baby girl's head, and when your husband laid eyes on his daughter, he began to tear up, he really started crying was when she gripped his finger with her tiny fist
β€οΈβπ₯ You guys really made this? How surprising is this, huh?
β€οΈβπ₯ As your son grew up, Kakucho adores messing with her hair, he always had his in a buzz-cut as he grew older, so, whenever she asked for him to braid her hair when she was small, he obliged and gave her such a cute hairstyle!
β€οΈβπ₯ Kakucho obligates his family in first place alongside his work, though, since he was one of the top four people in Bonten, he got quite busy, but, he always tries pushing it all away as best as he could
β€οΈβπ₯ Thankfully, Mikey was more lenient with that since he knew of Kakucho's family-oriented life
β€οΈβπ₯ He is definitely one of the best fathers in the Tokyo Revengers Universe, he wants his child to grow up in a world where they feel wanted, and that roots deep with his own childhood
β€οΈβπ₯ This guy is also very protective, he's lost so many people, his best friend, Izana, for example
β€οΈβπ₯ Anyone tries harming his daughter, there will be hell to pay.

π° Kokonoi, much like Kakucho, is still surprised that you wanted to be with him, but, he's also surprised that he was still with you... he believed that after the loss of Akane that he would never love again
π° Thankfully, when you came into his life during the earlier years of Bonten to help with some issues with relations between gangs, Kokonoi began to bond with you
π° When he asked you to marry him after a few months of dating and a couple weeks of courting, he remembers exactly how you smiled when you confirmed you wanted the same as him
π° Kokonoi has enough resources to care for his family, so, when you proposed having children, he wasn't very worried about expenses, this guy knows so many ways of making money that even the richest people in the world would be baffled
π° He was very excited when you found out you were having a baby, nonetheless when it was found out to be twins
π° During your early months of pregnancy, he would grab everything for female babies and male babies, since the gender was hard to tell until your fifth month
π° This guy was on cloud nine when notified you were both genders
π° Now he doesn't have to worry about Mikey being mad that he bought so much male and female items for these babies
π° Anyways, when you eventually went into labor, Kokonoi was as calm as a butterfly on the outside, while on the inside he was like a swarm of angry geese, thoughts flying faster than the snitch in Harry Potter
π° He stayed in the room with you, allowing you to squeeze his hand, despite the immense pain you were bringing to his hands, he probably was getting bruises from your hold
π° When the sounds of your first baby's cries entered his ears, he swore he forgot all about the pain in his hands, but, when his daughter came out just a few minutes later, his heart swooned
π° If you've seen Friends, you might be familiar when Frank Jr. ran out to the gang and was yelling about his first child's birth, oh yeah, he definitely does that
" Yes! We have the first one down! I cannot believe I have a son... oh God! I have a Hajime Jr.! " " Has your wife even agreed to that name, Kokonoi? " " Nope! "
π° Kokonoi held his son, whom you had to turn down his ideas of naming him Hajime Jr., and you held your daughter, and you had to turn down him naming her Sanzu-ia, he loves pissing Sanzu off too much...
π° As your babies grew up, Kokonoi spoiled them beyond belief, and you had to hold him back from doing something stupid, like buying a TV show because his little baby girl wanted to meet a character she loved
π° While the two grew up, he, much like Sanzu, cries at mass events for them, but, unlike Sanzu, he doesn't try holding himself back from showing his emotions to his children, prompting their embarrassment and you laughing at their antics
" Dad... please stop crying, God you're so embarrassing me... " " I can't! My babies are growing up so fast! Can you believe that just eighteen years ago you're mother was pushing you out of her- " " DAD! "

π Slight 14DWY + Blog Changes! π
(16/12/23)
Leon will now move away from Corland Bay when heβs 10 years old. Originally, I never really put that much thought into it because it won't be explicitly mentioned in the game, but I figured I might as well make it more accurate now ^^;
Teo is now 26 (instead of 27). Again, zero thought went into this aside from wanting a wider range of ages for the cast β but now I want him to be closer to Jae and Violetβs age β especially considering they were all childhood friends and Violet was in the grade below them.
Elanor is now 30 and Kiara is 29. In the 2017 version, Elanor was originally the eldest sister, but it just didn't feel right to change it in the 2020 version. Day 3 will still be lore accurate, but everything on this blog will need to be retconned.
14DWY Purple (unofficial) will now be changing from #A14BF4 to #9D64FD.
Not a change, but adding more clarification: Angel will still attend university (and Jae and Teo will still be their university friend), but whether or not they enrolled will remain ambiguous! Day 1/2 kinda insinuates that they studied something ("Teo attended some of their classes"), but I wanted it to imply that they could've attended orientation and/or took "mock classes" after high school to see what it's like as well. I may change a few lines in the demo (in the future) to reflect that.
Egg
I'd like to (hopefully) try to remind everyone that whenever I write about Angel on this blog, they are gender neutral. Because if my ass had a dollar for every time someone assumed they were female because of the cutesy/pink themes or how "soft" I made the MC, I'd have enough money to fund voice actors, translators, custom soundtrack, and pay the $100 Steam fee /hj
Changed the crackpot theory tag into an actual tag!! About time sdghjdg
(07/01/24)
Also not a change, but to solidify Haruko's appearance + Ren's likeness a bit more... Haruko is supposed to be an anime character with pink/blue hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. He's a modern day "sorcerer" (a reference to JJK, not a literal fantasy wizard lmao) from an anime called "Attack on Giants" (another reference to "Attack on Titan"); and is very kind, ditzy, and empathetic. All Ren has copied is his hairstyle, vibe, and demeanour. Ren isn't outright cosplaying Haruko, and it'd take an avid anime enjoyer to notice that Ren is attempting to mimic Haruko.
I'll make a poll one day, but I might change Ren's left sleeve tattoo to the spoiler-free placeholder I used in this artwork. A lot of people seem to prefer it, but I'll wait until the poll to make any final decisions.
I might also make another poll to see if perhaps a new BGM theme would better suit the demo. Because in my mind, the "summer/beach location" = acoustic guitar (rather than piano) β and for some reason I get lo-fi vibes from 14DWY??
I don't think anyone has picked up on this subtle shift yet, but Ren will mainly use "he/him" over "he/they" now (since Haruko is a he/him enjoyer π). [REDACTED], however, will still greatly prefer "they/he", and will continue to use them interchangeably.
21/02/24 β or search through Obsidian. (Future Sai here.... I have no clue what this means???? What??? T_T)
I'm gonna cut down on the Teo and Ren bullying on this blog (and in general). I don't find it fun anymore, and it genuinely upsets me when people put down certain characters to make others look better (i.e. "Ren has no ass which makes Leon superior >:)" Just say you like Leon... I beg T_T). It also makes me doubt whether Ren is genuinely a good character or not, and it's gross seeing y'all tear down people who genuinely enjoy Teo. Be kind.
(11/01/24)
Eventually, I'd like to turn this meme into an event in the 14DWY Discord to help create an actual landlord for Day 3. The current landlord has always been a meme-y placeholder (I thought the idea would be funny), but looking at how the game is currently, I want 14DWY to be more "serious". The current landlord will eventually be turned into an easter egg!!
Whether or not Jae had bottom surgery will now remain ambiguous. Everyone is now free to headcanon whatever they'd like, so long as it's not offensive or too OOC.
From now on, I'll also try my best to remind everyone that Jae is gay and Kiara is lesbian. I tried not to bring it up frequently because I was afraid it'd come across like "being gay" was their only defining personality trait, but I'm tired of people sending in asks that don't apply to these characters ^^;
I might move all of the curiouscat questions to this blog and archive the account. It's becoming too much of a hassle for me to manage 3+ social media accounts sgkshjj
#Sharing this now because why not πΌ#I refuse to let it sit in my drafts any longer lmaoooo#I'll cut out the embarrassing logs though <3 No one needs to see me ramble about how the sprites STILL don't feel consistent enough#for the 14235th time gjsdjsdhgs#π€ β shut up sai.#π β 14 days with queue.#to be tagged later

Can you do a step dad/current! James Hetfield smut??its fine if you can't I completely understand!!(srry if its so short I was in a rush!!)
this is actually so good and I had so much fun writing!!
β FEMALE CHARACTER IS 18+ β
WARNINGS: use of βdaddyβ, use of βprincessβ, stepdad x daughter, Reader is 18+, oral m & f receiving, unprotected sex, creampie
My breaths came out quick and hoarse, my fingers disappearing inside of me over and over.
I was so turned on by my new stepdad, but I couldn't do anything about it since he had just moved in a few months ago.
He was in his fifties or sixties and looked hot as hell with his broad shoulders and muscles. He had this sexy silver-grey hair that made him look more attractive than ever.
He was also very tall, almost towering over me. I kinda avoided him so he wouldn't sense how horny I'd get in his presence.
I continued to work at myself, imagining his cock inside me instead. I whimpered out. "J-James!"
I was home alone so It didn't matter.
I wanted to feel him inside me so bad. I didn't care if he was with mom, I wanted him to hold me down and fuck me as hard as he could.
Being alone, I didn't try to filter my vulgar noises; letting them spill out into the quiet room. "Daddy! Daddy, just like that!" I whined.
I rubbed my clit fiercely, just picturing his face.
"Daddy, I'm gonna cum!" I shook.
But before I could feel that sweet release, the sound of someone clearing their throat echoed from my doorway.
I gasped, and tugged my blanket up to cover me, my eyes darting to the doorway where the tall man stood.
Leaning agaisnt my door frame, a grin plastered over his face, was James, my fucking stepdad.
"Oh my god," I stuttered, my cheeks heating. "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you come in." I tried to act cool even though I knew I wasn't.
He took a step forward. "You were really enjoying yourself there." My blush deepened as I stared at the ground.
I didn't respond I was far too mortified. James sat up and stepped into the room.
"Look at me," he said softly. I met his gaze. His eyes glittered with mischief and desire.
"I'm not going to judge you, sweetheart. I see it all the time when I look at you. You are always so hot and bothered around me."
Hidden by the blanket, I couldn't help but apply a small bit of pressure to my clit. "I could hear you saying my name.." James whispered.
"How often to you masturbate to me, honey?" He continued, ghosting his fingers under my chin.
"E-Every single night," I admitted.
βThat makes me so happy, sweetheart. Are you gonna quit playing games with me? Tell me what you want." He stated calmly, lifting the corner of the blanket to uncover my wet panties that cling to my body.
"Y-you.. James." I whined as his fingers brushed last the damp fabric.
"Don't call me that honey," he said under his breath, staring me down as his fingers toyed with me.
He shoved the blanket aside, kneeling in bed ahead of me, looking down at me. "Speak up, baby."
"If you don't say what I know you want to, then maybe I should just leave.." he taunted, setting his hands on my knees.
"Daddy, please!" I whined.
He grinned as I gave him what he wanted, his hands spreading my legs apart. I was terrified to do something like this with my stepdad, but It was all I wanted
I needed it. And I trusted him enough to let him have his way with me. A strong hand gripped me by the thigh, bringing me closer to the edge.
"I think about touching this pretty pussy all the time, Princess." He hummed.
The air grew thick between us as he leaned in closer. My chest heaving with rapid breaths, I nodded. "Yes, Daddy. Please!" I moaned. My eyes widened in surprise when he grabbed my ankle and dragged me toward him.
He grabbed my panties tugging them down my legs and illiciting a breathy gasp from me.
"You are so beautiful," he praised. "Thank you, Daddy," I whispered. "I have never seen anyone look as sexy as you do right now."
He said, his voice husky. "Your pussy is glistening. So perfect, just like I thought." He rubbed his thumb against my clit, making me cry out.
"Hmm. Maybe I should start here," he murmured, kissing my inner thigh.
"Is that okay?" He asked. I bit my lip, nodding.
"Whatever you want, Daddy." I breathed. His fingers skimmed over my legs, dipping into the valley of my hips. "Such a good girl for your daddy."
He cooed, kissing my lower stomach before licking his way down until his tongue was lapping up every drop of my juices. "Mmm..." He groaned.
"You taste delicious, little princess. "
He paused. Lifting his head, his Light blue eyes fixed on mine. The look on his face told me he meant every word.
This was one of the hottest things I'd ever witnessed. I loved it.
βKeep going, Angel. Your daddy wants you to cum so hard you can't walk tomorrow." My eyes rolled back as I came undone.
His tongue was ruthless. I felt him swallow every ounce of my orgasm down. I cried out as my body tightened, he licked me clean. I lay there, spent, my heart thumping wildly against my chest.
"Now it's your turn missy.." he leaned upright and towards me. "I want you to suck me off," he growled in my ear.
I could hardly wrap my head around the fact that my stepdad wanted me to suck his dick. I loved it.
James switched places with me, tugging off his shirt.
I admired his stalkish build, and the slightly faded tattoos that lay beneath the thin layer of silver hairs on his chest.
"Don't be shy, honey," he cooed, helping me undo his jeans and tug them down.
He kicked off his jeans, leaving him only in his boxer briefs. I could easily see the huge bulge that strained beneath the fabric. Fuck.
"Take 'em off baby, you're a big girl," he taunted, nudging his hips just slightly.
With a gulp, I reached for the waistband of his underwear, slowly tugging them down.
The moment they passed his ankles, I gasped. God, he was massive. He watched me, chuckling under his breath.
"What did I tell you, baby?" he asked with a smirk. I stared at his cock, licking my lips. I had never seen anything quite like it. My stepdad was seriously well endowed.
It looked so smooth and soft, the head swollen.
James eyed me as he gripped the base, waiting for me to put my mouth to use.
"Suck it, babe. Show me you mean it." I moved to straddle him, taking his cock into my hand. It was a bit thicker than I thought it would be, and it was longer too.
I had known he was hung, but seeing it first hand was crazy. There was so much of it to grasp onto. I hesitated before putting it in my mouth. No turning back now.
Gripping it firmly, I slid the length of it into my mouth. Fuck, it tasted so good. I got lost in the flavor. The vein running along the side of it was silky, yet rough. The tip was sensitive and made me salivate.
Leaning forward, I swallowed his length and let my tongue lick over the sensitive tip. "Fuck, princess," he grunted. "You're such a good girl." He murmured, petting my hair. A shiver ran through me at his words. "Such a dirty girl, sucking your stepdads cock."
He moaned. I bobbed up and down, loving how it felt in my mouth. I was able to fit a lot of it in. "So good," he breathed. The feel of him in my mouth caused me to get wetter. My clit throbbed, demanding attention.
If I had been standing, I would have fallen. I sucked harder, moving my head faster. I loved how my stepdad was using his free hand to play with my breasts, tweaking my nipples.
They were so sensitive. "Just like that, babe," he encouraged. I looked up, locking eyes with him.
His eyes were closed as he rocked into my mouth, driving deeper.
Ohhh, my god. I loved everything about it. How he felt in my mouth, the taste of him. James was truly the best. He was good at everything. In my eyes, there was nothing better.
"That's it princess, bouta make me cum..." he groaned.
I bobbed my head faster, letting my saliva drip down his length each time. James gripped the back of my head, shoving me down further as I gagged.
I didn't Protest this though, I wanted to do anything to make him cum.
"Right there, right there, fuck..." James panted, still forcing me down, I could feel him swelling in my mouth.
I moaned around his cock, holding it tightly in my throat. "That's it, baby," he grunted. "Swallow my cum, Princess." I could feel his balls tighten. He was close.
His hands were in my hair again, pulling me up. I kept his cock deep in my throat, milking him. His body shook. "Fuuuuck!" He shouted. He filled my mouth. He came so much. So much I started to gag, choking on his cum.
"Good girl, good girl, you're such a good girl," he babbled, petting my hair, stroking me until I stopped coughing. I milked him until he finished emptying himself down my throat.
"Daddy.." I whispered, my throat finally free as he pulled his dick out.
"I can see that look in your eye, baby. You want me to be inside you, honey?" He cooed, brushing his thumb over my cheek.
"Please, please daddy.." I begged, crawling into his lap.
"So eager, aren't you princess?" He smiled, giving his cock a few pumps.
I grabbed his face, locking my lips with his for the first time. It was an odd concept; kissing my stepdad, but it felt right. And so good.
He kissed me right back, tongue forcing its way into my mouth.
I groaned, opening wider to allow him access. My stepdad was so hot. I couldn't imagine being without him. I just wanted to be with him forever.
James broke the kiss, looking me in the eyes.
"How bad do you want daddy to fuck you?" He hissed soflty, my body suddenly filled with the sensation of him running the tip through my folds.
My breath caught in my throat. "Bad," I moaned.
"Very bad." He chuckled. "You better not scream too loud, princess. I don't want anyone to hear you."
I rocked my hips on the pressure of his cock. I was a little worried that he wouldn't fit inside me, I'd only had sex once or twice. Him on the other hand was extremely experienced, not to mention huge.
I didn't want to embarrass myself by not being able to take him. But I couldn't go any longer without feeling him inside me. I needed him. Desperately.
"Daddy, please.." I whimpered, my neck twitching.
He ran his hand up and down my spine, then trailed it down my ass, pushing my legs farther open. "Hmm, what's that baby?" He purred, sliding the tip inside me.
I squirmed at the sudden penetration, gripping his shoulders as I whined loudly. James' hands gripped my hips gently, holding me in place.
"Tell me what you want, baby," he urged. "I need to hear the words, princess. Don't make me stop." I looked up at him, meeting his stare.
"I want you, Daddy. I need you. Please."
I whimpered, wiggling my hips against his. He chuckled lowly. "Lord knows, I need you too, little one. I've wanted you for so long." He grinned as he slid his cock inside me in one powerful thrust.
The pain was intense, and I clawed at his shoulders. "Shh, baby. Just breathe. Feel your daddy inside you. Relax." He repeated as he held me still.
I was right, it stretched me a lot, but it was also the best feeling in the world.
James bounced me on his cock, thrusting up alongside. "Fuck! Daddy!" I cried out.
"Right there honeyβ¦.. god, I think you're the tightest I've fucked." he groaned.
"Mmmm, that's right baby, ride that dick, just like that. Fuck, your wetness is driving me wild." He hissed, still pumping into me.
βOoh, that's right... daddy, harder, fuck me harder, daddy." I bucked my hips.
He squeezed my thighs with large tattooed hands, gripping me tighter, ramming me into the mattress. I could barely keep up with him. I rode him until I couldn't anymore.
"Such a good girl," he growled as I collapsed, hardly having enough energy to keep riding him.
"Just relax while daddy fucks you."
He ordered. Ilaid my head on his chest, breathing heavily. I wasn't sure I could handle more. He held me up, still inside me, cradling me in his arms as he rammed into me.
"Yes, Daddy, yes, that's it..." I whined, my body getting used to him, and I became more flexible.
"Oooh, yes! Yes, yes!" I cried out. James's pace picked up.
I arched my back, causing him to push harder into me. I was soon screaming out his name, throwing my head back. "James!" I cried out, holding on for dear life as I was transported to another plane of existence.
He continued to thrust into me. I was so full, I thought I would burst. "Daddy, daddy, I'm going to cum again." I squealed.
βCum all over daddy's cock, princess. Let it happen." He encouraged.
I cried out his name as my walls pulsated around him. "Ohhh, daddy!" I gasped. "Ohhh, fuck, I'm cumming too." James slammed into me, jerking his hips as he shot rope after rope of seed into me.
"That's it baby, cum on my cock. That's it." He growled. He continued to hold me, both of us breathing heavily. When he started to soften, we both dropped onto the bed, both of us exhausted.
I couldn't believe my own stepdad had just cum inside me. I loved it.
"You're gonna make me addicted to you, Princess." He murmured, rubbing up my back.

Oblivious To Love
masterlist 1k celebration
pairing: five hargreeves x female reader
warnings: fluff, kinda flirting, kissing
summary: five is your boss at the commission, always flirting and hinting that he likes you. you're oblivious to this but then finally admits his feelings - requested by anon
a/n: not to toot my own horn but i think my writing was pretty good in this. thanks so much for requesting for five because i have to write more of him !!
song: i wanna be yours - arctic monkeys
Five Hargreeves was certainly a character.
He was a decently closed off person. He was always thinking... calculating. Always working to be ten steps ahead of everyone and everything.
He didn't enjoy working at the Commission. He'd rather be enjoying life with his family, and enjoying a decent cup of coffee. For a while when he was there, he was always aggravated at someone or something.
That was until you came.
Or well, until he met you. You've been working there for a few months already.
You're the most stunning person he's ever laid his eyes on. To make things better, he was over the moon when you became his assistant.
You are absolutely lovely. Not to mention, incredible at your job.
You're sweet, smart, and extremely sensible.
Five loved your company. He was always in a good mood when you're around. He often dreamt about you, not to be taken out of context.
He dreamt of a life with you, seeing as how you two are so compatible.
To put the cherry on the sundae, you made the best coffee he's ever had. That says a lot coming from him.
"Good morning, Five," your captivating voice fills his office.
"Morning, gorgeous," he smiles.
He watches as your cheeks turn a light shade of pink. "You have got to stop calling me things like that."
"Nonsense, everything I call you is fitting."
He leans back in his seat and watches your movements as you move towards him. He takes in your outfit and curses the unprofessional thoughts that invade his head.
Today you were dressed in a knee length black skirt, a white button up blouse, and a black blazer.
The blouse had a few buttons undone which gave a glorious view of your cleavage when you lowered yourself to pick a fallen paper off the floor.
However, he considered himself a gentleman, so he looked away.
"Anyway, I was just about to go and make your coffee. Would it be troublesome if I joined you today?"
He stands up from the chair and strolls over to you. He brushes a strand of hair that sways in front of your face. "You're always welcome to join me, doll."
"Great! I'll be right back," you beam and leave.
To say you enjoyed having Five as your boss was an understatement. He was always kind to you, never let anyone say a bad word about you.
You wouldn't deny the fact that he was an attractive young man. The way he called you pet names that had your stomach flutter made you have a sliver of hope that he liked you.
True, pure love.
It's something you've always dreamed about. Reading it in books and seeing it in films gave you a longing to have someone to spend your life with.
After you finished preparing the two coffees, you walk back to Five's office. Your heels make a sound with every step you take.
You open the door and send a soft smile to your boss. "Welcome back, beautiful."
You break eye contact and place his beverage in front of him. "Hi."
He leans his head in his hands as he rests his elbows on his desk and admires you. "How did I get so lucky," he mumbles, not meaning for you to hear it.
You chew the inside of your cheek, "Get lucky with what?" you ask quietly.
He blinks. Then blinks again. "How did I get so lucky with you? When did I do something to deserve you?"
"Oh, um, t-that's very sweet of-"
"Have you ever taken into consideration that there's a deeper reason why I act the way I do with you?"
"Well, not exactly..." you trail off.
"Hm. Did you ever cogitate about how maybe there's a more meaningful explanation to how I behave around you? One besides getting entertainment from witnessing you blush?"
Your mouth opens slightly, and you are at a loss for words. After a moment, your eyes meet his intense ones. You take a breath, "Are you saying..."
He nods once, "Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying."
"But what about-"
Before you have the chance to finish your sentence, he strides over in front of your chair, puts his hands on each one of the arm rests, and connects his lips softly onto yours.
He felt you freeze for a split second, before you tilted your head upwards to kiss him back easier.
He drowns in the feeling of your lips. The kiss being shared between you two is better than anything he ever could have imagined.
You both taste of coffee, and he loves it.
You pull back and smile shyly as him. He takes a step back and hops onto the desk, so he's now sitting on it and facing you.
He leans his elbows on his knees and clasps his hands together. "I hope after that kiss you'll join me for dinner tomorrow night."
You stand up and smooth your skirt. "I would be delighted."

"Hi there, neighbor!"
You look up to see the source of the voice. A man around your age most likely. He was leaning over the fence, his eyes squinting from the sun.
You stood up from where you were planting flowers, pulling off your gardening gloves and tossing them to the ground.
"Hello!" You approached him at your fence, extending your hand out to shake his hand. "I'm Y/F/N Y/L/N. My wife and I moved in a few weeks ago. Someone down the street said you and your wife were taking a vacation. We were wondering when you would turn up." You say with a smile, resting your hand on the fence.
"Aaron Samuels." He smiles. "Yeah, I try to take a few trips throughout the year. Keeps my wife from getting too, well, you know. ." He jokes, but the way he rolled his eyes made the comment seem very...icky.
"Oh, totally. Staying in one place and working all the time is exhausting. I hope you both had a great trip." You say politely.
"Yeah, well..." he looks down and shakes his head. "Planting some flowers for the summer?" He asks, nodding to trays of various flowers lying around the immediate area.
"Trying to." You scratch your head. "It's our first time owning a house and doing this type of thing. We are definitely winging it." You use your head to point in the general direction of your wife. She was watering flowers on the other end of the yard with her back to you and her hand on her hip, her ear buds in her ear.
Alice was short with long blonde hair. She had a round face and a laugh like nothing you've ever heard of and you mean that in the best way possible. She is an extrovert, always knows what to say to who or how to get a conversation going.
Introductions weren't the most important thing right now; letting her enjoy gardening in her first owned home took precedence in your book, so you left her be.
You were certain she would strike up a conversation with him at some point in the near future anyway.
"Well, I've got quite the green thumb." He admits with an awkward laugh and you can tell by his face he regretted his wording. "I enjoy to garden." He says more seriously as if he was correcting his previous statement that you didn't even find embarrassing. Just...silly. In a nice way though.
"Well, if you consider yourself some sort of an expert, I'll take any information you know about growing vegetables." He lights up when you ask him for advice.
"I've got a really great soil that I use. I have so many bags of it. I'll run to my shed and grab them for you. I've already used what I needed and bought way too much." He explains with a small laugh.
"Aaron!"
Before you could respond, a voice from inside called to him, tapping on a window but the sun in your face made you unable to pinpoint where.
"Duty calls." He says unpleasantly and you scrunch your nose up at him when he turns around because you didn't like that response. "Next time I catch you out here, I'm bringing that dirt over!" He turns to point at you while walking backwards.
"Thanks so much! I appreciate it." You awkwardly give him a thumbs up and when he turns around to run inside, you scratch your eyebrow with your thumb. Overall you were just unsure how you felt about that interaction.
You turn around and decide to go bother your wife. She still has her headphones in, obviously still unaware of what happened around her.
You wrap your arms around her waist and she startles, the hose jumping with her and spraying the side of the house. You laugh and pull one of her ear buds out and kiss her ear.
"Hello, my gorgeous wife." You compliment and she leans into you, continuing to water the grass.
"Hi, my gorgeous wife." She repeats back. "How's it going over there?"
"Good. I met our neighbor. Or well the husband. Aaron."
"I met the wife earlier today when I was coming back from Home Depot. She was out running. While pregnant if I may also draw attention to because that's just insane to me. Anyway, I introduced myself. She was really nice." She says with a shrug.
"No name?" You tease, trying to see if you caught wife's social skills lacking.
"Do you even know me?" She looks up at you fake offended, a smile teasing her lips. "Her name is Gina." She says proudly.
"I'm not too sure how I feel about Aaron. He was nice, I guess. I don't know." You say, not really sure how to describe the icky feeling he gave off when he was perfectly pleasant.
"I think we should invite them over. Be nice, friendly neighbors. I want to be friends with our neighbors." She looks up at you with a small pout and you would never dream of doing anything that would make that pout stay.
"Sure, baby. Anything you want." You smile, kissing her cheek. "I'm gonna run inside and get us some water. I'll be back."
---
The following Wednesday, Alice tasked you with going over to your neighbor's house to see if they would come to dinner at your house this weekend.
Although Alice would have loved, and you would have preferred it, to be the one to invite them, she works until 7pm most week days and she was strategic with wanting to give them just enough notice to either accept or decline. So, since you are usually home by 5pm most nights, you walked over there with her little list of questions and a pen in case they said yes.
You hated approaching people like this. You were definitely less social than your wife.
You rang the doorbell and waited patiently for a moment. You shrugged after a long pause and began to turn away, but you heard the door open behind you."
"Can I help you?"
You paused for a moment, your feet scuffing against the cement and the hairs on the back of your neck standing up. You swallowed before turning around.
She was the last person you ever thought you would see again and here she is in front of you.
You hated that the first thought in your head was that she looked beautiful. Your eyes darted to her small pregnant belly and you could feel a pang of jealousy, a knot in your stomach.
She looked just as surprised to see you. Her eyes widened as she took a step back, her hand falling to her stomach, almost as if she was embarrassed you caught her this way.
Regina George. Your toxic relationship/situationship that lasted probably around five years on and off until you couldn't do it anymore. Things officially ended between the two of you about four years ago.
You couldn't take the arguing, the lies, the cheating, the blatant denial of your relationship and her sexuality.
You weren't a priority to her. You were someone she went to after her boyfriends couldn't satisfy her. You were someone she called when she was drunk so she could confess how in love she was with you because she just couldn't bring herself to say it and mean it when she was sober.
The last time you saw her was a big argument between the two of you. She had come over to your place after a date with some guy. She called him a boring loser, said he was nothing compared to you and then pushed you against the wall and kissed you hard.
You had asked her 'if he was nothing compared to me, why am I not good enough then?" You remember the question vividly because you thought about the wording while she kissed you. Her tongue thrusting into your mouth and she pulled away to look at you confused before you asked it because you weren't returning her kiss with the same amount of eagerness she was used to.
Her face softened for the briefest moment before she narrowed her eyes at you, listing off all of the reasons why you weren't good enough. She had a smile on her face afterwards, like she was challenging you to do or say something because you hadn't defended yourself in the past so she certainly wasn't expecting it to happen then either.
When she leaned in to kiss you again you dodged it, telling her to leave and that you were done.
You had never seen her look so...devastated. Her face dropped and she apologized repeatedly. She held your face in her hands while she peppered kisses across your face, but you were done. You felt disgusted with yourself, disgusted with her.
The both of you cried and argued for another two hours before she finally relented and left.
Twenty minutes after she was gone, your doubts crept in and you went to call her. To tell her to come back. That you were willing to degrade yourself to the point where you would be her secret side piece if it meant you had anything with her.
Except by the time you went to call her, she had already blocked your number. Blocked you on everything, actually.
And now you were standing at her doorstep, both of you looking like you've seen a fucking ghost.
"Hi." You finally speak after a few seconds, clearing your throat. Your eyes dart to Aaron sitting in the dining room behind her. "My wife wanted to know if you and Aaron would be available this Saturday for dinner at our house." You look anywhere but her, keeping the conversation strictly neighborly.
"I, we-" she starts, but Aaron realized you were here and stood up from where he was posted up.
"Is that our neighbor?!" He says in a tone of voice that just screams 'white dad'. "What brings you by?" He reaches out to shake your hand again and Regina just rolls her eyes.
"My wife wanted me to invite you two for dinner. This Saturday if you're available." You say, yours eyes squinting slightly from the sun setting behind their house.
"Yeah! We will definitely be free for that." Aaron agrees and Regina just nods.
"Great! I have a list of questions I was instructed to ask now." You chuckle lightly and pull the list and pen from your pocket. You look up and see Regina crack a small smile and it makes you fumble the pen when you try to take the cap off. "Okay, any allergies?"
"No allergies." Regina says and hearing her voice again makes your heart race.
"Is chicken fine?" You read the next question off the list, squinting at the little note Alice left. "She is hesitant to do steak because she doesn't want to have to serve-" you pause briefly. "to serve Gina a well done steak."
Calling her Gina felt weird. So fucking weird. She used to tell you she hated it when people called her that.
"Chicken is good." She says, but Aaron sucks his teeth in a silent annoyance. "Or not."
"No we can do chicken." He says, his tone of voice very different than before and you almost feel like you're intruding.
"I'm sure Alice will be happy to make you a steak, Aaron." You smile, trying to diffuse this added layer of awkwardness to an already awkward situation.
But he was also kind of pissing you off, too.
"I don't know why you have to make things so fucking complicated." Regina starts.
"It's okay, really." You look at her and say calmly, swallowing the urge to reach out and touch her. She stares at you for a moment and nods. You look down to your question sheet quickly, not wanting to stare at her too long. "What do you like to drink? We will get whatever you want. Juice, beer, sparkling water. Literally anything."
"Oooh," Aaron rubs his hands together "can I have Bud Light?"
"Mhmm!" You nod. "And you, R-Gina." You correct yourself quickly, shaking your head.
"I'm okay with water, thank you though. Can we bring anything? A side? Dessert? I don't want to show up empty handed."
"I will have to run that one by Alice." You smile politely, knowing damn well the little paper she handed you explicitly says not to let them bring anything.
"I can just ask her myself." Regina says confidently, taking the sheet of paper and pen from your hand. Your hands touched when she snatched the pen from you and you can feel yourself holding your breath. She flips the paper over and writes her number on the back before handing it back to you. "Just have her call me tonight or tomorrow whenever she gets a chance." She gives you a small smile.
You take the paper and nod, looking down to see her number hasn't changed. You folded the paper and shoved it into your pocket, repeating her phone number in her head just to prove to yourself that you still could.
"Cool, I will have her do that." You say awkwardly, feeling stupid for even going over there because Alice is still gonna end up being the one to coordinate things with Regina, sorry Gina, anyway. "Have a goodnight."
You give them an awkward wave and when you turn around to walk through the path in their front yard, you can hear them begin to bicker behind you.
Alice gets home around 7:30pm that night. She wraps her arms around you while you plate the dinner you made. She smelled like a dental office and she gave you a sticker from your favorite Pixar movie, most likely having pulled it from the bin of stickers they have for their pediatric clients.
She went to change her clothes and freshen up, coming down about ten minutes later to dinner being plated and ready to eat.
She sat down next to you and the two of you talked about your days briefly before she finally asked you if you completed the objective you were tasked with.
"Well, partially." You say, taking a sip of your water. "I went over there and was going through my little list, but Regina said she wanted to bring something and I wasn't going to tell a pregnant lady no. So I got her number and you can call her." Alice laughs and throws her head back, clapping her hand once.
"You're such a chicken. Also, Gina, babe. Not Regina." She laughs again. "Better get that down before we see them again so you're not calling her by the wrong name." She teases you.
You smack your palm to your forehead and chuckle awkwardly, your heart racing over your slip up.
"Gina, right!" You correct yourself. "Here is her number though." You pull the piece of paper from your pocket and slide it over. "Aaron was being a little bitch about having chicken."
"I'll just make him a steak then." She says casually, looking over the piece of paper with her eyebrows furrowed. "It's no big deal."
"That's what told them also." You nod and take a bite of your food.
Alice looks up, squinting to try to see the time on the microwave.
"I'm gonna give her a call now before it gets too late." She says, picking her phone up from the table and dialing the number. She held the phone to her ear, looking like she was ready to give up after a few rings. "Hi, Gina? Hey! It's Alice. How are you doing?"
You looked down at your plate, moving your food around while you tried to listen to the conversation. You could faintly hear her voice. Hear her talking about how you stopped by.
You tried to not make it so obvious that you were listening.
You also tried not to make it so obvious that you were disappointed when Alice grabbed her little notepad and walked out of the room to finish the call.
---
You've been out in the yard since like ten this morning cleaning the grill, setting up coolers, and doing everything around the house that Alice asked of you while she prepped everything for when 'Gina' and Aaron came over.
You've ran to the grocery store you don't even know how many times now to fetch any last minute ingredients or items that Alice forgot. All the back and forth setting you behind on your own tasks you needed to do.
Around 3pm Alice brought out multiple trays of various items for you to grill. Chicken, Aaron's steak, potatoes wrapped in foil, asparagus, bacon wrapped and cheese stuffed peppers. Like she went all out.
You were placing the second round of chicken on the grill when Alice disappeared and reappeared a few minutes later with Regina and Aaron behind her.
Everyone greeted you excitedly and you did the same, smile and waving at them both with the tongs in your hand. Alice got them each a drink and her and Aaron got to talking about the garden.
She led him over to your guys' tragic attempt of a garden and the two of them talked each other's ears off about.
Regina only stayed in that conversation for a few minutes. From the corner of your vision you can see her making her way to you, stopping to set her drink on the table.
You looked forward, anxiety rising in your chest each step she took until she was standing right next to you, your elbow brushing the material of her dress.
"Hi neighbor." She says in a tone that feels borderline mocking.
"Hi, Gina." You say, returning that same mocking tone and refusing to look at her.
She turns her head to look back at both of your spouses before looking to you again, her fingertips grazing your arm to get your attention.
"I wanna talk to you later, when you have a moment."
"There's nothing to talk about." You say firmly. "How does Aaron like his steak?"
"I don't fucking care how he likes his stupid fucking steak." She says annoyed, her fingertips still against your arm. Her other hand coming up to press her palm against her forehead and sigh, fanning herself off.
You can't bring yourself to move away from her touch.
"It's too hot for you over here." You say, finally turning to look at her. "Go sit down. The food will be done soon."
"I don't want to fucking sit down." She says through gritted teeth. "I'm tired of being treated like I'm delicate or breakable. I'm fucking fine."
"Fine, you're fucking fine." You say, turning back to continue grilling. Regina goes from grazing your arm lightly to gripping it tightly, her nails digging into your arm now. You flip the meat and the veggies, closing the grill. "Let's go. You obviously don't feel good." You to turn her and grab her arm carefully.
"I never feel good anymore. I fucking hate it." She said, her voice cracking the tiniest bit as she let you lead her over to the table.
You pull out a chair for her and when you notice that Aaron and Alice are too engrossed in their conversation to pay attention to Regina right now, you sigh and pull out the chair next to her for yourself.
"Do you need anything? Here, eat something." You grab the bowl of chips and place them in front of her, along with the various dips Alice made. She thanks you and nods, taking a chip and dipping it in the spinach and artichoke dip.
"So, how long have you and Alice been together." She asks before popping a second chip in her mouth and humming at the taste.
"Don't start." You ask, shaking your head.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She says innocently. "I'm just being neighborly." She scrunches her nose at you.
"No, you're being nosy." You scrunch your nose back at her and stand up. "I'll be back."
You make your way back to the grill. Things are just about finished up and you begin to try to pull apart those little tin containers from the dollar store to put everything in, muttering and swearing under your breath when you couldn't get them pried apart.
You look up to ask Alice for help but she disappeared with Aaron. You look around the yard confused, still trying to pry the fucking trays apart.
"They went to go look at the front yard." Regina says, coming up behind you and taking the trays from you. She digs one of her long nails between them and pulls them apart easily. She sets one down on the platform of the grill and holds the other ones for you.
"You know, she organized this fucking thing and then ditched me." You say annoyed, putting the meat into the pan first and covering it with foil. You turn the pan to the side to make room for Regina to set down one of the smaller pans, which she does.
You take out the potatoes from the grill next. Swearing every time one slips between the tongs, which was frequently.
"Babe, why didn't you tell me you were done?" Alice says, coming through side gate and setting her beer on a small table in the yard. She rushes over to you both, nodding her head at Regina to thank her while she takes the empty pan from her hand and does some maneuvering.
Regina steps aside and you're disappointed by the loss of her presence.
"What was I supposed to do? Shout from over here?" You respond with a slight attitude, one of your eyes shut because of the smoke from the grill.
"Let's not do this right now, yeah?" She says calmly, taking the pan with the meat over to the table.
"Can I help with anything?" Regina asks from where she's standing and Alice asks if she can help her get everything set up on the table and she agrees.
You close the lid of the grill once everything is out and you wipe the sweat from your head. You stare and the two small tray of veggie sides in front of you, trying to figure out how you're going to bring them both over to the table. You looked behind you to see if anyone was free to help. Regina and Alice looked busy and Aaron was glued to his phone, titling it up toward his chest any time Regina was close.
You watched Alice and Regina get the table set up. Lay out the plates and silverware, bring out the cold sides.
You had to turn around when you realized you were paying more attention to Regina than to Alice.
You covered both of the small trays in foil and stacked them one on top of the other, carefully making your way over to set them on the table. Regina took the trays from you, her fingertips brushing against your sticky, sweaty, skin for probably the tenth time today.
"I'll be back." You say abruptly, turning around to dart inside.
Your eyes were burning, were hot from the grill, and probably feeling added heat from Regina as well. You just needed a second.
You go into the kitchen, grabbing yourself a glass of ice water and chugging about half of it, breathing heavily afterward like a fucking toddler. You turned to the sink, wetting a paper towel and wiping off your eyes then your face.
You could hear footsteps, but your face was too buried in that cool towel to care right now.
"Where do you keep your big spoons?" Regina asks.
You feel around your kitchen blindly, running your hands over the counter until you found the drawer on the left where you kept your serving spoons.
"In here." You tap the drawer and step aside, pulling the towel from your face.
"You okay?" She asks, making her way to the drawer and looking over at you.
"My eyes just burn." You blink hard a couple of times and wipe them again. She leans in closer and you hold your breath when her thumb lands on your cheek bone and tugs down slightly.
"They look really red." She says softly, her gaze visibly bouncing between your eyes and your lips.
"The smoke." Was all you managed to get out before clearing your throat and forcing yourself to step away. "So how far along are you?" You ask to change the subject and it seems to work. She snaps out of her little daze and turns to get the spoons from the drawer.
"20 weeks this past Tuesday." She says, pulling out the spoons.
"Just about halfway then." You lean against the counter of the sink. "Do you know what you're having?"
"A girl." She has her back to you, but you can hear that she's smiling and it makes you smile in return.
"That's really exciting."
"Aaron doesn't think so." She turns around with a small frown and a few big spoons in her hand. "He wanted a boy."
"Who fucking cares what he wanted." You roll your eyes, finding it ridiculous that someone could be unhappy about having a daughter.
"She moves around a lot. Do you want to feel?" She asks excitedly and you don't want to tell her no, but you should.
"Regina I-" She doesn't really give you an option because she grabs your wrist a tugs you forward, placing your hand on her belly. "I don't feel any- oh wait!" You say excitedly when you feel something push against your hand. "That's crazy." You say to yourself quietly.
You stay this way for a few moments. Your thumb moving back and forth over her belly, her hand resting over yours. Neither of you wanting to be the one to acknowledge that she isn't kicking anymore because neither of you wanted to move.
"I think you put her to sleep." Regina whispered and when you looked at her you knew you needed to step back. You knew you needed to pull away because she was looking at you like she wanted to kiss you and your wife was just outside.
You could hear her laughing at whatever stupid shit Aaron said.
"We should probably get back outside." You whisper, your thumb still rubbing over her bump. She squeezed your wrist, almost like she didn't want you to let go.
"Okay." She says calmly, but neither of you move.
Not until the back door slams and you hear Alice laughing and talking loudly, wondering where the two of you went.
You quickly placed the towel back over your eye and Regina quickly opened and closed the drawer as if she just got done looking through it, the two of you well versed in the art of recovering before you got caught.
"Everything okay in here? Baby, what happened?" She rushes over to you, pulling the almost dry towel from your face.
"My eye just wouldn't stop watering and burning." You say, wiping them off once more and tossing the towel in the trash. "I couldn't see so I couldn't even help Gina find the spoons. I kept leading her astray." You chuckle at your own lie.
"It was a mess, but we managed somehow." She lets out a fake laugh and holds up the spoons. "I'm sorry for taking so long."
"Oh gosh, you're too sweet. Don't apologize." She puts her hand on Regina's shoulder and starts to usher her outside, you following behind them.
Dinner was nice. You learned a lot about Regina and Aaron as a couple and they learned about the two of you in return.
You were surprised to find out that Aaron was the loser Regina had gone on a date with the night the two of you ended things.
Though that was an observation you had to keep to yourself, you could see Regina shift uncomfortably in her seat when she realized you put two and two together.
You learned that they only moved into this house about a year ago and have been married for almost three years now as opposed to you and Alice who have only been married a year and a half.
They talked a little bit about the baby, how they were preparing for her, that they are trying to go on trips and such before she gets here. You could practically feel the disappointment radiating off of Aaron.
The way Alice nudged your foot under the table made you think she felt it to and you knew you would definitely be discussing it later.
Alice told them both just about everything about the two of you. Where you met and how, how long you dated before getting married. All the details you tried to avoid giving Regina earlier Alice spewed out like it was nothing.
Regina's face hardened slightly when she realized that you met Alice at the tail end of your relationship with her. Clearly choosing to ignore the part that you two didn't actually start talking seriously until almost a year after the break up.
Clearly, Regina choosing to harp on irrelevant bits and pieces of a story is still something that hasn't changed.
You also found it interesting that although she consistently dated and slept with men during your time together that she would get upset that you merely met someone, exchanged information, then didn't speak again for almost a year and a half.
You excused yourself from the conversation and Regina's dirty looks to bring out dessert.
You opened the fridge to see a coconut cake that you know Alice didn't make. You raised your eyebrows in a silent excitement because you knew that meant Regina brought it and you wonder if she brought it purposely because she knew it was your absolute favorite whenever she or her mom would make it.
You pull it from the fridge and grab the cake knife from the drawer, carefully walking out of the house with the cake.
"I really hope coconut cake is fine, Alice. You said you weren't picky on the phone and this cake is like a staple in my family." Regina says, her eyes finding yours immediately as you set the cake down.
"We love coconut in this house. The cake looks great and will be very much enjoyed, I assure you of that." Alice says with a slight laugh, taking the cake knife from your hand and going to work on handing out the slices.
She asked how big of a piece everyone wanted, you tried to wiggle your hand inconspicuously to let her know you wanted a bigger piece, your cheeks flushing with embarrassment when Alice called you out on it, saying she 'didn't know you enjoyed coconut THAT much' while also being accommodating and giving you a larger piece.
You grumbled when you took the piece from her, looking up to Regina who was biting back a smile, or maybe a smirk.
You took a bite of the cake, humming at the taste. Somehow it tasted even better. You weren't sure if Regina just perfected the recipe or it had just been so long since you had it. Maybe a combination of both.
When Alice asked about the recipe and where it came from, Regina started talking about her mom and where she got it from. You could hear the two of them talk, but you weren't listening anymore.
You were looking down at your cake, pushing it around your plate now. It tasted great, better than you remember even.
But that's the issue. You weren't tasting this cake for the first time. You were tasting this cake for the first time in years and every little scenario that could be associated with this cake was popping into your brain. Like every single bite was just something new to think of.
When you tried it for the first time when meeting Regina's family. When introduced you as her friend and you all played card games with her family until 1am. Regina had told you she didn't think she could ever have that much fun with her family.
The first time Regina tried to make the cake herself because she knew you liked it and she burned it so bad, but you still ate it because she was crying about having messed it up.
When she made it as your birthday cake one year and it came out absolutely perfect, but then the two of you got into an argument because she was going to go on a date instead of coming out with you and your friends. You had only one piece of it before she grabbed the cake with her bare hands and threw it to the floor of your apartment. When you burst into tears over your ruined cake, and other things, she kneeled on the floor and cried while she cleaned it up. Telling you in between sobs that she was sorry and she'd make you a new one.
You set your fork down and pushed the rest of your cake away. Everyone was in the middle of a conversation, so you really didn't think anyone would notice.
Except Regina fumbled over her words mid conversation as soon as you did it and when you looked up, you saw her eyes darting between you and Alice. She shook her head slightly and pushed her hair behind her ear, recovering her fumble smoothly.
You felt bad. You pulled the cake back toward you again and continued to eat it. Quickly realizing that although it tastes just as good as it used to, it would never taste the same.
---
Regina and Aaron left around 7pm. Regina helped Alice tidy up while you made them both plates of leftovers to bring home with them. Aaron sat on the couch and turned your tv on. Alice said he could, but you just didn't like that he actually did it.
You and Alice settled into bed early, both of you exhausted from all the things you had to do today. Though Alice finds that kind of stuff way more rewarding than you do.
Alice was already tucked into bed, her back toward you while she talked about how much fun she had today, how great Gina seemed, how useful it could be to have Aaron around, that she would love to hang out with them more.
Your responses were automatic. You were hearing her, but not really listening. All you could offer right now were some 'yeah', 'I agree', 'I'm glad, babe'. It's all you had in your right now.
You put on your pajamas and stood at your nightstand, taking off all the jewelry you had on today.
A sliver of light through the window caught your attention, both of you forgetting to close the shade before getting dressed. You made your way to the window, going in between the curtains to look for the little rope to close the shade.
You caught glimpse of Aaron walking around in his underwear and went to hurry to lower to shade, seeing way more of him than you ever would've care to.
But you paused when Regina walked into the room, both of them having some sort of heated discussion before Aaron waved her off and walked out of the room.
You knew you needed to close your blinds now. To give Regina privacy to change her clothes. Except you watched her move around her room instead. You watched her pick out her pajamas, pull her sheets back.
When she turned around and made eye contact with you through her own window, you felt like you had been caught. You looked away quickly, pretending the shade was stuck.
When you finished your fake fiddling with the shade, Regina was still staring at you. When she saw she had your attention again, she wasted no time pulling her shirt above her head.
She was naked from the waist up, giving you a view of her small pregnant belly and her breasts. You breath hitched in your throat and you gripped the string on the shade tightly, mentally scolding yourself because you know you needed to look away.
Instead you continued to watch her as she snuck her thumbs under the waistband of her shorts, ever so slightly beginning to pull them down.
"You coming, baby?" Alice says from the bed behind you.
You turn around quickly, yanking the string and shoving your way out of the thick curtains.
"Yes, I'm coming, babe!" You say, your heart racing for many reasons now. "I was just being nosy. There was a cop parked across the street. They just left." You lie, turning around to peak behind the now closed blinds again. Regina had closed her shades in your absence and you sighed in relief through your nose.
You rubbed your forehead with your fingertips and climbed into bed with your way, turning off the lights before you settled.
You laid on your back, Alice's feet tangled with yours. She fell asleep quickly. A trait you wish you possessed. Instead you lie awake, thinking about the whole incident at the window. About how you almost wish Alice didn't call for you. That her shade was still open and she was there waiting for you when you returned.
Alice snuggled closer to you, throwing an arm over your stomach and smushing her face into your shoulder. You rubbed her arm softly, your thoughts still plagued by Regina.
Is it too soon to be thinking about selling this house?

you know my weakness is you (act two)
author's note: um...hello? is this thing on? sorry i've been away and that it took me a literal year and a few days to post part two to this story. also i meant to post this eariler but i am at home visiting family so i didn't realize this was not queued to post in est until literally right now. i appreciate everyone's love and patience in the meantime and hope you enjoy!
as a reminder - this character is a WOC and is plus sized bc...well, that's what I know as a person and it's kinda time I start actually trying to write like it. so let's just pretend there's a world where POC plus sized hockey wags can exist, mkay? i'm also manipulating some of the other wags of the team, so, that is also happening.

When Mat sleeps, he dreams of Summer.
Mat dreams of her, craves her, wants nothing more than to have and to hold her.
He dreams of the words his captain spoke to him almost a week ago.
Iβm telling you not to take this risk. This whole βI hate you but now I like youβ risk. And especially not with Summer.
She canβt go through that again.
And whether you want to admit it or not, thereβs something between the two of you, and if it goes wrong, itβs going to be really, really bad.
If youβre not serious about her, leave her alone.
He thinks back through all of the horrible things heβd ever said to her, how even though he knew in his heart he was miles ahead of her shitty ex, he still wasnβt the type of person to deserve her, but dammit, that didnβt mean he wasnβt about to try.
Mat knows that he seriously wants Summer. Wants her desperately, has wanted her since the moment they met even though she pushed him away. And heβd wanted just one chance to prove to her that heβd make it worth her while, and he got more than enough.
Except now, it seemed his captain was going to be the one to put a stop to it.
After Mat had slept with Summer and Anders had given Mat his words of warning, the captain backed it up after practice a couple of days later, making it very clear to Mat how he felt about the idea.
βI can see in your eyes youβre not hearing what I said, so Iβll repeat it. Stay away from Summer.β
Mat had blinked at Anders, completely shocked and also thankful they were having this discussion away from the rest of the team.
βWhat?β
βStay away, Mat.β Anders repeated, more serious and almost angry. βItβs not that I donβt like you, and itβs not that I donβt think youβre a good person. But you cannot be with Summer. At all.β
Mat bit back his snarky response, instead choosing his words carefully. βIs this about Sabrina?β
Anders shook his head. βThis isnβt about Sabrina. This is about Summer.β
βWhat, are you in love with her or something?β
That was probably the wrong thing to say. Andersβ nostrils flared and he narrowed his eyes at Mat, jabbing a finger into Matβs chest.
βListen, Mat. Iβve known Summer since she was sixteen, sheβs been my little sister in every sense of the word just as much as sheβs been Sabrinaβs, and Iβve seen her go through way too much and put up with way too much to allow you to come in just because sheβs suddenly single and youβve suddenly got the notion that you can do better than her ex boyfriend. Iβm telling you right now, based on what Iβve seen? How your dynamic works? You canβt. And I donβt want you dating her.β
βThatβs not up to you.β Mat said, moving Andersβ hand away. βThatβs Summerβs choice. If she wants to be with me, she can be.β
βThen make it her choice not to be with you.β His captain responded, and it was exactly the ultimatum it sounded like.Β
βAnd how do you propose I do that?β Mat bit back sarcastically.Β
βYouβve been bickering since you met, and youβve not done a single thing for her that shows that you care about her, or that you like her. Just because you slept with her once doesnβt mean youβre in love and need to be in a relationship. Thatβs not how it works.β
Mat scoffed. βWhy are you speaking to me like Iβm a kid?βΒ
βBecause youβre acting like one.β Anders spat. βYouβre acting like a child who thinks heβs in love after one time.β
βWhat if Iβve loved her the whole time?β Mat countered, completely serious.
Anders didnβt even blink, just laughed and shook his head. βLove? Youβre joking, right? None of what you have is love, Mat. Itβs not, it never has been, and it never will be. Iβm telling you right now, before you take it any further, before it gets too deep. Stay. Away.β
Before Mat could respond, could tell Anders to either go fuck himself or try to plead his case, his captain walked away, and Mat knew in his gut he meant every word.
Butβ¦it already is too deep.
And heβs about to disobey his captain.
~
Despite her better judgment, Summer finds herself smiling when she walks into the small cafe shop, seeing Mat tucked into a table in the corner with her favorite iced coffee and favorite breakfast plate already ordered and sitting in front of him alongside his own order.
Heβd texted her this morning, almost a week since theyβd last seen one another, suggesting that they meet up to talk about what had happened in her room at Sabrinaβs house.
When heβd given her the best two orgasms sheβd ever had in her life, then asked her not to run, admitted to her that he liked her.
Mat Barzal.
Liked her.Β
The thought made her both giddy and confused at the same time, admittedly completely unfamiliar with the rush of butterflies sheβd been feeling everytime she found herself thinking about Mat, or reading a text from him.
They hadnβt seen each other since that time in her bedroom, Mat being too busy with pre-season training and practice, and Summer didnβt completely mind it. She had work as well, and was still helping Sabrina and Anders out with their wedding planning.Β
Even so, seeing him after a week almost felt like she hadnβt seen him in months, and Summer knew in her heart that was probably something she should pay attention to a little more.
The butterflies, the anticipation, the giddiness - it was all quite a bit considering their history, but there was a part of it that just kind ofβ¦made sense?
Sabrina had teased her the night before when sheβd been over to help her finalize the floral arrangement details. βItβs like when mom used to tell us that the boys who picked on us only did it because they liked us.β
Summer had laughed a little, and Anders, who had been sitting with them to finalize the boutonniere designs for the menβs tuxedos, had scoffed. βTheyβre not kids though, babe.β
Anders had seemedβ¦apprehensive, to say the least, about her and Mat, but when Summer had asked him about it, Anders had just said βIβm not worried,β so she left it at that. Whatever it meant.
The closer she got to the table where Mat was sitting though, the more all of her concerns and worries faded away.Β
Mat looks up as she approaches, pocketing his phone and giving Summer a wide smile. He stands to greet her, his hands cupping her face and offering her sweet kisses, murmuring how he thinks she looks pretty today in between each peck.
Sheβs sure sheβs blushing beneath the bronze of her skin, and the smile she gives him in return is probably showing just how happy she feels at this moment.
βIβm sorry,β she says, βI hope you werenβt waiting long.β
βNo need to be sorry princess,β he says. βYouβre right on time.β
Summer smiles, taking her seat across from him and taking a sip of her coffee.
Mat watches her with a smile on his face, laying his hand out on the table, palm up. She raises a brow, but puts her hand in his anyway, waiting.
βWe should probably talk about all this, shouldnβt we?β He says.
Summer shrugs, βIf you want to.β
βI just want to know that you want this, too.β Mat offers, playing with the rings decorating her fingers. βWe donβt have to talk, because as far as Iβm concerned, if we both want this, then thereβs nothing to talk about.β
She assesses Mat quietly as she takes in his words, thinking about the dynamics of their relationship.
βI think we maybe owe it to each other to at least clear the air, donβt you?βΒ
He nods, thumb rubbing the back of her hand gently. βIβll start. I never hated you, not even a little bit. You got on my nerves a little, but I never hated you. I think I just acted that way because I thought you hated me first.β
Summer blinks a little, not expecting that right away. βI didnβt hate you, Mat.β
βIt kind of felt like it.β He admits, but his eyes are playful, letting Summer know heβs not upset by it.
She thinks back to the day they met. His curious gaze as it ran over her body, how back then she couldnβt handle scrutiny like that from anyone, good or bad, because she could only ever see it as bad.Β
A man like Mat looking at a plus size woman of color like Summer didnβt exactly always spell out happy endings.
Sheβd let her insecurities get the better of her then, let it push them both into something that maybe neither of them wanted.Β
But still, theyβd gotten here in the end, didnβt they?
βI think I justβ¦I think we got off on the wrong foot.β She admits. βI never hated you either, I think I just feltβ¦unsure.β
βOf me?βΒ
βMaybe you, maybe myself. I donβt know.β She says.
βWell now that itβs established that we donβt hate each other, and that you know that I like you, how do you feel?β
Butterflies.
Anticipation.
Giddiness.
Like a teenager in love for the first time.
Summer ignores all of that and shrugs playfully. βI suppose I might like you, too.β
The kilowatt smile that breaks out on Matβs face is one Summer is probably going to remember for the rest of her life. Heβs looking at her like she just hung the sun, moon, and the stars in the galaxy, crafting the heavens and given it to him.
βI can work with that.β He says, bringing her hand to his lips and kissing the back of it gently. βIβll be happy to work with that.β
Her heart hammers in her chest, and as they dig into their breakfast, she canβt help but feel like she shouldβve made this decision a lot sooner.
~
Mat wakes up to Summer cuddled against his side, and he quickly silences his alarm, wishing for nothing more than the opportunity to lay in bed with her for the rest of the day - the rest of time at this point.
Carefully, he untangles himself from her, making sure sheβs sound asleep and tucked back in while he heads to the bathroom to start getting ready for training and practice. Once heβs brushed his teeth, he heads out and into the kitchen, going about making himself breakfast and getting food ready for Summer for when she wakes up later.
He checks his phone, spotting a text from Anders in the team group chat reminding everyone of the start time today at the facility.Β
Mat tries not to get pissed off before the day even starts.
Anders has been nothing but a pain in his ass since he and Summer started seeing one another, almost as if he knows Mat never had any intention of listening to him and knows that Summerβs been in his bed nearly every night since that conversation.
Whatever. Mat doesnβt give a shit.
Heβs not a kid, Anders isnβt his dad, and heβs not Summerβs keeper. He and Summer can do whatever they want, and if Anders wants to throw his weight around as captain Mat can handle it, but heβs not giving Summer up.
Once heβs about ready to go, he heads back into his bedroom to grab a hoodie and his gym bag, surprised to find that Summerβs awake, laying on her side, putting her phone down and greeting him with a soft smile when he steps inside.Β
Matβs heart literally nearly leaps from his chest to lay at her side.
Her curly hair rests on the pillow beneath her like a gentle halo, full breasts pushing at the fabric of Matβs shirt she wore to bed. His shirtβs risen up a little and is showing a glimpse of the skin of her stomach, the blankets pooled a little bit above her waist.
She beckons Mat to her playfully, and he goes easily, climbing onto the bed and kissing her without a second to waste, slightly surprised by the minty taste of her mouth.
βYou've been up long?β He murmurs to her, and she shakes her head.
βMaybe about ten minutes or so?β She says. βI thought youβd already left, so I was getting ready to go see Sabrina.β
βMore wedding stuff today?β He asks, bending his head and pushing her hair over her shoulder so he can leave soft kisses on her neck.
She nods, letting out content sounds as his lips move. βYeah, figuring out the seating chart for Andersβ side.β
Mat pauses at that, and pulls back, staring at Summer curiously. She hadnβt mentioned anything about Anders voicing his recent distaste for Mat to her, but still.
βHas he been different towards you? You know, since weβ¦β His voice trails off.
Summer shakes her head. βNot really? He seemed apprehensive about it, but he hasnβt been different. Why? Has he said something to you?β
Mat hesitates, unsure of what and how much to tell Summer.
βHeβsβ¦not exactly happy about the two of us at the minute.β Mat begins, but as he speaks, he can see the fire in Summerβs eyes begin to build. Since heβs all too familiar with where that might lead, he immediately backtracks, making the decision to not tell her the whole truth. βItβs fine, justβ¦maybe donβt talk about us in front of or around him for now, okay?β
βDonβt?β Summer asks, and at the fact that Mat can see the fire dissipate for a little, he nods, still careful with his words.Β
βNot that I want to keep us a secret, or anything like that, I just donβt want him to say something to you about it, or have him get upset at you. Heβs just trying to be a good brother in law, is all, Iβm sure. Just let me handle it, okay?β
Summer nods, smiling sweetly. βOkay, I wonβt say anything, I promise.β
Mat smiles, kissing her again, not complaining when Summer turns the kiss a little dirty, running her tongue against his lips gently. He pulls away again, quickly checking the time on his phone and smirking when he sees heβs got about fifteen minutes before he absolutely has to leave.
He really only needs five.
When he looks back at her, heβs got a cheshire grin on his face that Summerβs eyes twinkle at.Β
βAre you still in the same state you went to bed in?β He asks.Β
Summer smiles, nodding. Mat immediately rips the covers off of her, exposing her bare lower half, and Matβs cock throbs at the memory.
Last night, after theyβd showered and gotten ready for bed, Mat had cuddled up against her, wrapped her in his arms and tried very hard to not focus on how soft she felt against him, about how good it felt to have her there, how warm her body was.
Sheβd rested her leg on his waist, propping herself open, and Mat had dipped his fingers under the blanket to play with her, his sanity completely disappearing when he felt how wet she was for him. Heβd torn her underwear off her not long after, fucking her slow and gentle until she shook in his embrace, his name falling from her lips in satisfaction.
Now, he shuffles himself down the bed till heβs nestled between her beautiful thighs, and Summer looks down at him curiously.
βThought you had to leave for practice?β
βIβve got plenty of time,β he says. βPlus, this is way more important than practice.β
Summer starts to protest, maybe to say something smart back to him, but whatever her response was going to be dies on her lips the second Matβs mouth latches onto her skin.
~
Summer feels like sheβs practically skipping as she heads into Sabrinaβs house, bouncing off the balls of her feet in happiness.Β
After Mat had managed to coax about three orgasms out of her just with his mouth and fingers before leaving for practice this morning, she felt like she could just about do anything. Especially with the way he speaks to her the whole time.
Sheβd enjoyed bickering with him before all of this, but it wasnβt until she reflected on the first two times theyβd fooled around that she realized Mat loves dirty talk, and that heβs particularly good at it.Β
The second she enters Sabrinaβs house though, she shoves those thoughts aside and tries to tone down the happiness, especially with Sabrina staring at Summer like sheβs got three heads.
βWhat are you so chipper about this morning?β Sabrina asks, eyeing her over the rim of her mug as she sips her coffee.
βNothing,β Summer dismisses all too quickly.
βMhm,β Sabrina says, raising a brow. βWouldnβt have anything to do with a certain winger, would it?β
βMaybe it does, maybe it doesnβt.β She responds, resting her purse on the counter and going about making a cup of coffee for herself.
βHow are you two doing?β
βWeβre fine,β Summer says. βHappy.β
βThatβs good,β Sabrina says genuinely. βIβm glad. Anders will be happy to know you havenβt killed each other.β
At that, Summer remembers Matβs words from this morning, and turns to her sister with a slightly serious expression. βCould you maybeβ¦not tell him?β
Sabrina blinks at Summer. βWhy?β
βI justβ¦I know how protective he is, and I donβt think heβs a fan of the idea. I just donβt want to put Mat in a bad spot. Could you maybe justβ¦keep it to yourself? About Mat and I?β
βYou want me to keep it from my husband that my little sister and his star winger are dating?β
Summer sighs. βPlease, Sabi? Just this once, I am asking you not to tell your husband every little thing about your life and mine.β
Sabrina eyes her warily, but agrees. βAlright. But is this because Mat doesnβt want anyone to know youβre dating? Or something else?β
βItβs like I said, Anders is protective, heβs not a fan, and the seasonβs about to start. I donβt want to put Mat in a bad spot.β
Summer can see that thereβs something in Sabrinaβs eyes that makes her want to push this more, to understand, but thankfully, she drops it.Β
Truthfully, sheβs not sure where Andersβ apprehension is coming from, or why, but itβs clear he and Mat are at odds about it, and Summer trusts Mat enough to handle it, and enjoy their time together in the meantime.
~
After practice, as Mat is walking out to his car, he hears Andersβ call his name. Internally, he groans, not wanting to deal with his bullshit right now, but he knows itβs better to just get this over with now so he doesnβt have to put up with it for the rest of the season.
He turns, his face completely deadpan as Anders approaches.
βDid you think about what I said?β Anders asks.
Mat rolls his eyes. βYeah, been thinking about it non-stop.β
Anders doesnβt look amused. βI wasnβt joking, Mat. I meant it.β
Mat feels the instinct to ball his fists, but he refrains.
He doesnβt care that this is his friend and captain, and doesn't care how long Anders has known Summer. Anders doesnβt get to just rock up and tell Mat who he can and canβt have feelings for.Β
Whatever Mat and Summerβs relationship was like in the past is theirs to work through, and if Anders doesnβt like it, then fine.
He doesnβt need to fucking know.
βIβm aware.β Mat says. βI took care of it.β
Anders raises an eyebrow. βTook care of what?β
βWeβre not together.β Mat says, the lie slipping easily through his teeth. βWeβre not dating, not seeing each other, not falling in love, just like you asked. Your precious sister in law is perfectly fine high in her tower.β
Anders stares at him, probably gauging to see if heβs telling the truth, but Matβs expression doesnβt falter. After a few moments, Anders visibly relaxes. βYou two fought again, didnβt you?β
Mat scoffs. βMaybe we did, maybe we didnβt. Thatβs not the point. The point is you got what you wanted.β
βItβs for the best, Mat.β Anders insists, reaching out to rest a βcaptainlyβ hand on Matβs shoulder, but Mat steps away, shaking his head.
βWhatever. See you tomorrow.β
Mat gets in his car, pulling out of the team lot and heading home, a smug feeling settling in his chest that Anders has no idea Summer will most definitely be waiting for him when he gets there.
~
βYou got a little something on your face, Princessβ Mat says, βRiiightβ¦here,β and leaning in, he drops his spoon into his bowl of ice cream, grabs Summerβs face between his hands, and peppers kisses all over her face, working from one corner of her mouth to the other.
Summer giggles wildly beneath his lips, eyes shut tight as she tries to hold onto her own bowl and spoon under the assault of Matβs kisses.Β
She felt like her laugh lines were getting deeper and deeper with each passing day she spent with Mat, wrapped up in his embrace or under the constant receiving end of his affection and attention. It had been a little over a month of this now, this work in progress relationship.Β
From what she knew, things between Anders and Mat were still a bit tense, but Mat reassured her that things were fine. It was just Anders finding it difficult to have a teammate date a family member, Mat had explained to her, and that he just needed time to come to terms with it. Summer could understand, so to be safe, and to make it easier on everyone, she continued to avoid speaking about Mat around Anders, and even shared a little less with Sabrina, just in case.
Knowing Sabrina, it only took a couple of glasses of wine for her to spill the beans, so it was better to say less than say more.
There had been a couple of times that theyβd all been at Anders and Sabrinaβs house, Summer there for wedding things and Mat there for team things, when theyβd sneak off and fool around for a little bit with no one being the wiser, but Summer found it more fun than anything.
Theyβd just gotten back from a dinner date a little bit ago, Mat making them ice cream sundaes to have for dessert before bed after Summer admitted she had a small craving.
Once he finishes his onslaught of kisses, Mat reaches for the canister of whipped cream, spraying a little more onto her bowl and his own before digging back in.Β
The TVβs playing a movie on Netflix, and when he turns his attention back to the screen, it brings Summerβs eyes to the time on his DVR box.
βDonβt forget we have dinner tomorrow night at Sabrina and Andersβ house.β
Mat groans. βTheir pre-wedding late engagement party thing, right?β
Summer hums in confirmation, taking another bite of her ice cream. βYeah. They didnβt throw one when they first got engaged since they were in Marbella, so theyβre having it now while some of Andersβ family is in town for the home opener.β
βSpeaking of the home opener,β Mat says, then puts his bowl down, walking off to his room before coming back, an Islanders Pro Shop bag in his hand. He hands it to Summer, who eyes it warily.
βIs this what I think it is?β She asks.
Mat shrugs, grabbing his bowl and digging back in. βWhat do you think it is?β
βAn Islanders branded dildo?β
Mat chokes in surprise as Summer laughs, enjoying how easy it is to make him flustered.
She turns the bag upside down and is only mildly surprised when the jersey falls into her lap, the bright blue and orange and white staring at her like a neon sign.
βWould you prefer that I wear this?β She asks. βAre you going to ask me to only wear this once we get back home?β
Mat laughs, shaking his head as he puts his finally empty bowl to the side. βYou wear whatever you want, baby, however you want to wear it.β
Summer smiles at him, then pauses. βWearing this to the game probably wouldnβt be a good idea, what with Anders and all.β
Mat frowns. Heβd clearly forgotten about that part, but shrugs. He reaches over, playing with the hem of Summerβs dress where it rests against her thigh. βThen I suppose you will have to wear it once we get home.βΒ
Summer smirks as Mat moves and wraps a hand around her ankle, maneuvering her until sheβs laying with her back on the floor, watching him through curious eyes.
βAnd what else would you propose I wear?β She asks, watching as Mat removes her underwear and then reaches for the whipped cream canister, squirting out a dollop onto her clit.
βNothing, if weβre being honest.β He says, rearranging himself to lay between her legs. βNow if youβll excuse me, Princess, itβs a little rude to talk with my mouth full.β
Summerβs giggles dissipate into moans as Matβs tongue licks away the whipped cream, the fabric of his jersey gripped tightly between her fingers as he enjoys his second dessert.
~
Mat leans back against the sofa in Sabrina and Andersβ living room, a little bit of tension leaving his shoulders now that Andersβ family has left and itβs just a few guys from the team, some of Sabrinaβs friends, and Summer left behind.Β
Everyoneβs settled into the living room to wind down and chat a little before they all head home, and Mat watches as Andersβ has to keep a hand on Sabrinaβs waist while she sits down. Summer told him that sheβd had three glasses of wine because of how nervous she still got around Andersβ family, but it hardly affected her throughout the night. Now though, it seemed that since his family was gone, the anxiety and nerves were also gone, and the wine was catching up to her pretty quickly.
Summer was the last to make her way into the living room, and after a quick scan, found the only open seat left was next to Mat on the sofa. He was aware of Andersβ stare the entire time Summer made her way over, only breaking away once Summer sat down and Sabrina said something to him.
Mat barely listened to the conversation going on around him, too aware of the fact that Anders was watching them both like a hawk and that he was trying his best to behave.Β
At one point, Summer must have started to feel exhausted, because he could hear the way her breathing began to even out, and then, her head gently landed on his shoulder. Tito saw it as well from his spot, and smiled at Mat.
That drew Sabrinaβs attention, and she cooed, reaching out to gently wake Summer.
βBeen a long day hasnβt it babes?β Sabrina asked, and Summer blinked the sleep out of her eyes.
βSorry,β she says, then recognizing sheβs still leaning against Mat, she blushes, smiling shyly when she repeats βSorry.β
βItβs okay,β he assures, trying to seem flippant about it. βI donβt mind.β
βYou two are such a cute couple.β Sabrina says through a laugh as she observes them, and the silence that follows is almost deafening.
βWho?β Tito asks stupidly.Β
βSummer and Mat, obviously.β Sabrina says, and the second itβs out of her mouth, realization hits and her expression changes.
Damn wine.
βI mean-β Sabrina tries to backtrack, but itβs too late.
βMathew, can I speak to you for a moment? Outside.β Anders says, his tone of voice making it clear that itβs not a request, but a demand.Β
Anders heads out to the backyard, and Summer looks at Mat wearily. βMat, you donβt-β
βNo, itβs okay, Princess.β He promises, pressing a kiss to her temple and ignoring the apologetic look Sabrina tosses his way. He heads out after Anders without another word, walking up to where heβs waiting by the pool bar.
βWhat the fuck did you do?β Anders demands, pushing Mat the second he gets closer.
Mat finds restraint deep in his well of patience, deciding it would still not be a good idea to punch his captain in the face.Β
βWhat are you talking about?β
βYouβve been seeing Summer? This whole time, youβve been dating?β
βMaybe we have. What does it matter to you?βΒ
βI told you to stay away from her.β Anders spits, pointing a finger in Matβs face. βI told you to stay away and you didnβt listen. And you somehow thought hiding this behind my back was a good idea?!β
βAnd I told you that you didnβt get to tell me who I did and didnβt get to have feelings for.βΒ
Anders laughs bitterly. βOh so now itβs feelings? At the beginning of all this you said you were in love with her, and now itβs just feelings? Make up your mind, Mat.β
βI do have feelings for her! I do love her!β
βNo you fucking donβt,β Anders spits. βYou havenβt loved her a single day since you started sneaking around and lying about this relationship.β
βWhat else was I supposed to do? You made it very clear you didnβt want me around her and I made it very clear that that wasnβt your choice to make. So I did what you asked and let Summer make the choice for us both.β
βWhat is he talking about?β
Summerβs voice cuts through the night air like a knife to the gut, and Mat turns to find her staring at the both of them.Β
She looks like an angel, hair blowing in the wind, the skirt of her dress flowing out beside her, the backyard lights casting a heavenly glow around her.Β
But itβs her face that breaks Matβs heart. Her face says she heard everything, and even though sheβs standing right there, Mat can tell sheβs already a million miles away from him.Β
God dammit.
He couldnβt catch a fucking break today, could he?
βSummer,β Anders says, using his brotherly voice with her. βGo back inside.β
βNo,β she says, and the tone of voice sheβs using is one sheβs only ever used against Mat when they used to be at odds.Β
That used to feel like a lifetime ago, but Mat knows for sure that itβs probably coming back to him sooner than heβd like.Β
βSummer-β Anders tries again, but Summer wonβt hear it.
βNo,β she repeats, taking a step closer to them. βYou told him to stay away from me? Tried to stop him from dating me?β
βI was just trying to-βΒ
Summer holds up a hand, effectively silencing Anders, then turns to Mat. βAnd you. You said you wanted to keep quiet about us until you and Anders reached an understanding. But really, the whole time, you told him we werenβt seeing each other?β
βSummer, I can explain, I-β
βYou said you didnβt want to keep us a secret.β She continues talking like Mat never said a single word. βBut really, you just didnβt want to be the one keeping a secret. You wanted me to do it for you.β
The night air is suddenly heavy and silent, Anders and Mat staring at the ground in shame, nothing left to say.Β
Summer scoffs bitterly. βUnbelievable.β
The click of her heels on the pavement has Matβs head snapping up, his feet immediately moving when he sees sheβs walking away. Anders is hot on their heels, following as Summer heads back into the house, noticing Sabrina and the others with their attention on Summer as she heads for her purse, then straight for the door.
βSummer?β Sabrina asks, concerned.
Summer says nothing, and Mat calls for her, but she keeps walking.
The three of them follow Summer out to the driveway, and Mat breaks into a sprint then, managing to get in front of her to block her path.Β
βPrincess please, just listen for a second-β
βGet out of my way, Mathew.β She says.
Itβs the tone of voice that almost has him frozen in his spot. Thereβs no anger, no heat.
Fuck fuck fuck.
βPrincess, I-β
βDonβt call me that.βΒ
βOkay, Iβm sorry, Summer, Iβm so sorry. But you donβt understand, I just wanted us to-β
βIt doesnβt matter.β She says, placing a hand on his chest. βI donβt have the energy to deal with this right now. Please move.β
Mat wants to do anything but that, but he knows he probably wonβt get anywhere with her about it tonight, so he does as she asks, and steps aside. By the time Anders catches up to them, sheβs in her car and backing out of the driveway.
Mat feels like sheβs taking his heart with her.
~
Summer sighs, spinning in the mirror and pursuing her lips as she examines the fifth maid of honor gown Sabrinaβs managed to coax her into in the last hour.Β
Theyβre at the Vera Wang Bridal House on Fifth Avenue, where Alex, one of Sabrinaβs oldest pageant friends and bridesmaids, works as the manager. Sheβs been diligently helping Sabrina and Summer find the right maid of honor dress with the wedding only a couple of weeks away, and also helping to talk Sabrina out of some of the more less than ideal options.
The dress Summerβs trying on now is in the exact shade of what Sabrinaβs been calling βchampagne rose gold,β that she picked as one of her wedding colors, a spaghetti strap gown that accentuates Summerβs curves and compliments her shape.Β
But it still doesnβt feelβ¦well, like something Summer would wear, at least not as the maid of honor to her sisterβs wedding.Β
βI donβt know, Sabi,β she mutters, examining the way the silk falls against her body. βI like it, but it could be better.β
She looks in the mirror towards her sister, the bride to be, watching as she frowns, cocking her head to the side. βYouβre right. The Lou's nice on you but the colorβs a little off.β Sabrina turns toward the rack of dresses, pointing at one of the racks and then turning to Alex, smiling sweetly when she asks βCan we see the Lourdes, the Joelle, the Evelyne, the Diane, and the Vaness?β
Summer blanches. βNot the Vaness.βΒ
Sabrina raises a perfectly arched eyebrow at her. βWhy not?βΒ
βSabi,β Summer deadpans. βThe v-neck on that dress is deeper than the Mariana Trench. My boobs would be all over the place.β
βYour boobs would look amazing in it.β Sabi insists, turning to Alex. βRight?β
Summer sends Alex a pleading look over Sabrinaβs head, and Alex smiles, shaking her head. βYour sisterβs at least a 38D and the Vaness can barely hold a 36C. Iβd say ax the Vaness, and if you want to see a v-neck option, we can look at the Vanetta and the Varun instead. Theyβre a little more stable.βΒ
Sabrina hums, then nods. βAlright, Iβll accept the alternative.βΒ
βThank you,β Summer says with a grateful sigh, and Alex sends her a wink before pulling the six gowns off the rack and putting them in Summerβs dressing room before heading back out to join Sabrina.
When Summer shuts the dressing room door, she carefully takes off the gown she has on and puts it back on its hangar before reaching for the next one.
Just as sheβs zipping up the Lourdes, her phone vibrates in her purse from where it's resting on the chair beside her. She ignores it, focusing on adjusting the sweetheart neckline and the tulle of the train of the down when it goes off again, and then again, and then again, before it starts to vibrate with the frequency of a phone call.
She assumes itβs their father, calling on behalf of their mother to pester Summer for details on the fitting since Sabrina probably wonβt answer.
Sabrina and their mom had gone shopping for her βmother of the brideβ dress last week and Sabrina was not pleased after her mother insisted on needing three dresses - one for the ceremony, one for the cocktail hour, and one for the reception. Sabrina was still a little upset, and their dad had been playing the middle man ever since.
Fussing with the zipper with one hand, and reaching blindly in her purse for her phone with the other, Summer answers her phone without even looking, immediately saying βTata, okay naman kami. You donβt have to keep calling, just tell mom Iβll send her a picture of my dress when Iβm done. Lalo lang itong makakainis kay Sabrina.β
From outside her dressing room, she can hear Sabrina snort in agreement.Β
Thereβs a small pause on the other line, and for a second Summer worries that sheβd been on speakerphone and their mother was about to scream down the line, but then she hears someone clear their throat before they say βI uhβ¦Iβm not your dad, and I didnβt understand a lot of that.β
Summer blinks, her heart plummeting to her stomach. She lets go of the zipper of the dress that sheβd finally managed to pull up, then slowly pulls her phone away from her ear. When the screen lights up, and the contact name β13β shows up on her phone, she gasps in part shock and part anger, the phone slipping from her hand and clattering to the hardwood floor of her dressing room.
She wasnβt expecting that.
Heβd been silent these last couple of weeks, giving her space after everything that had happened, so him calling so suddenly wasβ¦strange.Β
And Summer was definitely not prepared to speak to him today. Especially when she hadnβt sorted out how she felt and how sheβd go about handling this ridiculous situation.
The noise alerts Alex and Sabrina, who Summer can hear scramble to their feet before they start knocking on the door.Β
βSummer,β Sabrina calls. βAre you okay in there?β
βDo you need help?β Alex offers.
Summer takes a deep breath, trying to calm her sudden racing heart and staring at her phone in total offense. She can hear Mat going βHello? Summer?β and prays Sabrina and Alex canβt hear him at all.
βIβm fine,β Summer croaks out. βJust dropped my phone.β
She quickly bends down, grabbing her phone and ending the call, turning off her phone, and tossing it back into her purse. Quickly, she looks in the mirror, adjusting the dress one final time and fixing her hair.Β
Thereβs a slight flush to her cheeks, and she schools her facial expression, pointing at her reflection in the mirror as if to say βGet your shit together,β before squaring her shoulders and opening the door.
βWhat about this one?β Summer asks, pasting on her best βnothing to see hereβ smile.Β
Sabrina and Alex exchange suspicious glances, and Summer promptly ignores them.
And also especially ignores the way her heart hasnβt stopped pounding in her chest since hearing Matβs voice.
~
Mat looks down at his phone one more time, then back at Summerβs building.Β
He hadnβt seen her since everything that had gone down at Sabrina and Andersβ place, and sheβd been ignoring his texts and calls, save the one she definitely didnβt mean to answer the other day.
Part of him knows itβs because sheβs probably upset at him and Anders for lying to her, but before, when she was upset, he was used to her arguing with him, with her still being around.
All this space and silence was new, and he didnβt like it at all.
As he approaches the front of her building, nerves start to creep in.Β
What the fuck am I doing here?
The more he wondered, the more he was afraid, the more he thought about her. And the more he thought about her, the more she got under his skin, the more she invaded his dreams, the more he knew he couldnβt waste another second without seeing her, or feeling her one more time.
No matter how badly he may have fucked up.Β
Thereβs a buzz, a loud one, that snaps him back into reality, and heβs surprised when βCome on up!β from Summer's cheery voice greets his ears.
He hears another buzz and the snick of the doors unlocking, so he rushes in without a second thought, taking the elevator to Summerβs floor.Β
When he gets to her door, he knocks tentatively, noticing sheβs got some door decoration hanging over her peephole, and Mat feels his gut churn irritably.Β
βComing!β Summer calls, and Matβs heart suddenly starts to thunder in his chest.Β
Hold the fuck up. Is she expecting someone?
Blood starts to boil in his veins.
She let me in without even knowing who I was.
He can hear her footsteps getting closer to the door.
Is sheβ¦is she going on a date?
The thought is irrational, he knows, but he canβt help but worry about it anyway.
Thereβs a distinct shattering sound that echoes in his ears. Before he even debates if he has the right to think that, let alone even think of asking it, the door opens and Matβs eyes are graced with the stunning reality of Summerβs natural beauty.
Sheβs wearing an oversized graphic t-shirt that has him questioning if sheβs even wearing pants, and her long beautiful curls are down, stray curls framing her face, and then those chocolate eyes are staring at him in disbelief and he just-
Fuck.
βHi.β He breathes, heart in his stomach.
God damn sheβs so fucking beautiful.
βMat?β Summer asks, like she doesnβt believe whatβs in front of her. βWhat are you doing here?β
βI wanted to talk to you.β He begins. βI know itβs been a minute, but-β
βItβs been almost three weeks, actually,β Summer deadpans. βAnd now isnβt a good time.β
βExpecting someone else?β He all but interrogates, venom quickly seeping into his voice. Itβs too easy with Summer, too easy to slip back into their little game, no matter how much he doesnβt want to.
But apparently Summer doesnβt want to either. She gives no indication that sheβs heard him, no obvious tell that his irritation is irritating her right back. Her full lips donβt move, remain stoic and perfect and plump and-
God does he want to kiss her.
βYes, actually.β She tells him. βI have friends coming over, and-β
Mat goes to her before he can think about it. Heβs moving into her space, backing her into her apartment and kicking her door shut behind him before he takes her in his arms, spinning them around to press her back into the door and then sinking his hands into her hair, pulling her head back, and kissing her like his life depends on it.
For a moment, time stands still when his lips meet hers. He feels like his universe was knocked off its axis without her, and being close to her again, itβs like everything falls back into place.Β
All the tension, all the worry, all the βwill she, wonβt she,β it all falls away and disappears.Β
The only thing that matters is Summer.
Relief instantly floods his veins when he feels her relax against him, when her hands land on his shoulders, and it dissipates just as quickly when she puts just enough pressure under her hands and pushes him away.
Mat backs up, hands dropping away from her altogether, even though his fingertips tingle with the need to reach for her, to bring her back.
Summer looks angry.
βNo.β She says firmly. βAbsolutely not.β
No no no no no he thinks. Panics.
βSummer, I-β He begins, watching her walk past him and moves further into her living room.Β
βNo, Mathew. You donβt do what you did and show up here and kiss me and expect me to just forgive you.β
βIβm sorry, I just meant to-β
βI know what you meant. But you still shouldnβt have done it.β Summer spits, all fire and brimstone. βYou canβt come here and kiss me like Iβm still your dirty little secret.β
βWhat?β He shakes his head, staring at Summer in disbelief. βYouβre not my dirty little secret, Summer. Thatβs not what this was at all.β
βYeah,β she rolls her eyes. βOkay.β
βI wanted to tell you the truth,β he insists, swearing, βI justβ¦I just couldnβt.β
βCouldnβt tell me that Anders tried to enforce some stupid rule you didnβt need to listen to because youβre both grown men? Couldnβt tell me that he was being overprotective and that he told you you couldnβt be with me? Couldnβt tell me that you didnβt have the guts to tell him no to his face? What of any of that βcouldnβtβ you do, Mat?β
Mat frowns. βHeβs my captain, Summer.β
βWhat the fuck does that mean to me? Heβs my brother in law. I couldβve handled him on my own, spoken to him and told him to back the fuck off, and Sabrina wouldβve told him the same. Instead you made it sound like he knew the whole time but was just having trouble accepting it.β
βYouβre right. I handled it terribly, and Iβm sorry.β
She stares at him for a second, then nods. βOkay, I accept your apology, now get out.β
His stomach bottoms out. βWhat?β
βJust leave, Mat.β She says, shaking her head and pointing at her front door behind him. βJust leave.β
He doesnβt know what else to say, doesnβt know what else to do, so he just nods, doing exactly as she asks.
~
Mat lets out a frustrated groan, dropping down to the ice to lay on his back, pain running through his bones as he shuts his eyes.
He can hear a teammate skating closer to where he lays, before feeling the blade of a stick poke him in the side. βWhat the fuck is wrong with you?β
Isnβt that the fucking question of the day?
It had been a week since sheβd kicked him out and no matter what he did, he couldnβt get the look on her face out of his head, and he couldnβt escape the lingering tingle on his lips after kissing her after spending so much time away from her.Β
The reality is that he had Summer, and then he didnβt. And though to everyone else it should seem like thatβs normal, that theyβve always been at odds and donβt like each other, it couldnβt be farther from the truth.
Mat never hated Summer at all, and he never wanted to keep her a secret, but he thought that was his only option, the only way to go about finally being able to have her.
And he still ended up losing her anyway.Β
βNothing.β Mat mutters, keeping his eyes shut and trying to focus on the freezing surface beneath him, wiggling his toes in his skates.
βLooks like something.β He hears Tito mutter as he skates closer. βYouβre skating like shit today.β
βThanks for that babe.β Mat deadpans. βAppreciate it.β
βDid you get dumped or something?β Tito asks again.
Matβs eyes fly open at that, and he lolls his head to the side to glare at him. βNot so fucking loud, dingus.β
βWell is it true or not?β His best friend presses.Β
βI donβt even know if we were officially together in the first place.β
Across the ice, a loud voice echoes. βYouβre not gonna be together in the future either if you donβt get your shit together.β
Mat finds himself shooting up into a sitting position, head spinning to look at his captain, whoβs already looking at him with a frown. βWhatβs that supposed to mean?βΒ
Andersβ mouth presses together in a firm line as he skates closer to Mat and Tito, and when heβs close enough, he jabs Mat in the leg with the blade of his stick. βIt means you need to apologize, you idiot.βΒ
Mat just stares at him. βThought you said you didnβt want me to be around her?β
βI said I didnβt want you to be around her if you werenβt serious about her. You moping around the locker room, skating like shit, acting like you just got divorced - that tells me that I was wrong about all of this, and that shit might be a little serious.β
Mat stays silent. Heβs not exactly sure what to tell his captain at this point. A week ago it wouldβve been βFuck you very much,β but heβs pretty sure Anders is trying toβ¦apologize?
He assesses him carefully, then it clicks. βSummer and Sabrina chewed you out, huh?β
Anders doesnβt look impressed. βI got what was coming to me. Looks like you did, too.βΒ
Well that he couldnβt deny.Β
βI tried to apologize.β Mat admits. βShe told me to take a hike.β
Anders scoffs. βDid you expect anything less? And since when do you back down from arguing with her?β
βLike you said, shitβs pretty serious. Soβ¦yeah. I backed down and I left when she told me to.β
Tito taps Mat in the leg with his skate gently. βYou love her?β
Mat hesitates to answer, not because heβs not sure. Heβs pretty sure he does, almost certain, but heβs never said it, not really shown it, and he isnβt sure if Anders is still after his head, so he stays quiet.
Anders sighs. βWhat do you feel for her, exactly?β
Mat can put it into words, but as he thinks about it, it might not be the best explanation.
Iβm pretty sure Iβve been in love with Summer since the day I met her, but she hated me on sight, so I pretended to hate her too. Except then I realized that she actually liked me, and now because Iβve been an idiot I think she actually hates me. And I still think I might be in love with her anyway.
β¦to be fair, that didnβt sound so bad.
Except, when Mat says those exact words out loud to Anders, silence falls around them, and he realizes several of their teammates, including Tito, were in hearing range, and now everyoneβs staring at Mat like theyβre waiting for him to disintegrate right in front of them.
βI uhβ¦β Mat begins, falters for a second. βI just meanβ¦β
βI know what you mean.β Anders says, nodding. βYou should probably tell her all that yourself though, yeah? Preferably soon. Weddingβs next week, and Sabrina and I are going on our mini honeymoon during the Thanksgiving break, soβ¦do with that what you will.β
Without another word, Anders skates away, and only after Mat casts a scathing look to the rest of his eavesdropping teammates do they follow suit, except for Tito.
Tito shakes his head, tapping Matβs side with the blade of his stick. βGet your shit together,β he insists, before he skates away too.
Mat sighs, laying back on the ice and letting the cold settle into his bones.Β
~
Sabrina and Anders had a beautiful wedding.
Truly, really, they did.Β
Summerβs heart ached with happiness for her sister.Β
It was everything Sabrina had wanted, everything sheβd worked hard to plan, and through all the stress and breakdowns her older sister had, she was finally married and had the wedding of a lifetime to enjoy and look back on.
And since she and Anders had managed to resolve their issues, she was genuinely happy for him again, too.Β
She had a feeling sheβd find it hard to remain upset at both Mat and Anders, considering the more time she had to think about it, and remembered that men were in fact, stupid, thanks to Sabrina, she did understand both their perspectives.Β
Anders had known her since she was sixteen and had seen her struggle with her self love, seen her date shitty people, and witnessed every second of her and Mat arguing like their lives depended on it. He was just looking out for her, wanting to protect her and make sure she didnβt go through something like that again, and especially not with someone Anders was friends and teammates with. He had to be around Mat on a frequent basis, and if it went bad between her and him, he wouldβve had to tiptoe around them both awkwardly.
Except none of that was his to worry about, or even something Summer expected of him, which he understood now.Β
The part that had Summer tripped up was the fact that Mat had explicitly said he didnβt want to keep Summer a secret, and how sheβd understood, but he ended up keeping her a secret too, and she unknowingly helped him.Β
Realistically, she did forgive Mat, but she also knows she shouldβve been able to move on from it just as easily as she did with Anders. Maybe it was the fact that she expected more from Mat, considering howβ¦intimate they were, but deep down she knew it was just her insecurities rearing their ugly head again.
Before it was the disbelief that heβd been looking at her in appreciation the first time they met, and now it was the uncertainty that he was only doing what he thought was the right thing to do at the moment. That he didnβt keep her a secret from anyone other than Anders and that he didnβt think she was enough to be shown off to the world.
Rationally, she knew it wasnβt anything, that she should be able to just move past it. But irrationally, Summer felt like it was still too good to be true.
Besides, theyβd never actually said anything other than that they liked each other. It wasnβt like theyβd fallen for one another.Β
Okayβ¦maybe thatβs not entirely true. Summer knew sheβd started to, especially the more time they spent together, the more theyβd slowly gotten to know one another.Β
But they never said anything to each other, soβ¦
Sheβd managed to steer clear of him so far throughout the wedding, avoiding his gaze and purposely putting herself on the opposite side of the room. Right now, she was at the bar, waiting for the bartender to make her a margarita and watching where Sabrina and Anders were greeting their guests.
It was only when she realized after a moment that she didnβt see Mat anywhere that she had a feeling avoiding him wouldnβt be possible much longer.
βDo you think thereβs more legs in the world? Or eyes?β
Despite the fact that sheβd been expecting him, the absurd yet intriguing question has Summer turning her head to the right, and Mat stands there with a lopsided smile that spells mischief.Β
Her heart collides into her ribcage in a painful throb. Itβs been almost a month since sheβs seen Mathew last. He looks just as good, is everything she remembers and desperately tries to forget in the same breath.
Before she can help herself, the corner of her mouth quirks up in a small smile, and she leans against the bar a little, shaking her head. βIs that the best youβve got?β
He shrugs, stuffing his hands in his pockets. βGot your attention, didnβt I?β
She wants to roll her eyes, but refrains, turning her attention back to the bar, grabbing her drink from the bartender with a polite βthank you,β and dropping a five dollar bill in the tip jar next to her elbow.Β
As she starts to walk away, Summer can feel Mat fall into step with her, and even though she doesn't want for it to happen, her body stiffens, unease seeping into her bones at his proximity.
βI didnβt know if youβd show up to the reception or not.β He confesses, the charm slipping away from his tone.
She shrugs, nonchalant. βItβs my older sisterβs wedding. Why wouldnβt I be here?β
βI wasnβt sure if youβd do it to avoid me. Or if you finally decided that you hated me.β
His confession almost makes her falter in her steps. Almost.
βThatβs a bit dramatic, considering I remember that I told you that I never hated you in the first place.β She practically bites out, quickening her steps a little.
βCouldβve fooled me. I mean I never saw you after you kicked me out.β
βIβve been right here.β
βIt felt like you were on another planet.β
This time she does stop in her tracks, turning to face him. βWhat do you expect me to say, Mat? Iβm not exactly happy about what happened. I know you apologized, and I get it, I justβ¦I need time to come to terms with it, okay?β
Summer can see Sabrina approaching over his shoulder, and she shakes her head slightly, letting Sabrina know that she can handle this. Thankfully, she nods, and moves to make conversation with another table of her guests.Β
Mat looks at Summer then, swallowing a lump in his throat. βTell me what I can do to help then. What do I have to do to make this right? Tell me how to fix this.β
She shakes her head, taking a step back. βYou canβt,β she says, already retreating. βYou just canβt.β
His eyes burn into her back as she leaves, and heads back to her seat. Sheβs determined to stay out of Matβs way and keep her eyes away from his for the rest of the night, no matter how much her heart twists in her chest.
~
Mat stuffs one hand in the pocket of his hoodie, the other one clutching the bouquet of roses as he crosses the street, approaching Summerβs building for the first time since she kicked him out.
He felt like a bit of a stalker, showing up to her place unannounced again, but he felt like he didnβt know what else to do.Β
Heβd tried asking Anders for advice, and the only thing his captain did was remind Mat that he and Sabrina were leaving on their mini honeymoon, and to take care of it before they got back.
Soβ¦this was him fixing it himself. Or trying to anyway.Β
It takes him an embarrassing amount of time to actually work up the courage to press the call button to her apartment building. This time, when he presses it, instead of Summer letting him up immediately, thereβs a small pause, before her soft voice comes through the speaker.
βMat?β
He pauses, waving awkwardly at the little camera. βHi.β
Another pause, then he hears Summer sigh. βYouβre not going to give up on this, are you?β
βProbably not, no.β Mat answers honestly, running a hand through his hair.Β
Thereβs silence, and then the building door buzzes and Mat pauses for a second too long before heading through it, and up to Summerβs apartment.Β
He only manages to knock once before the door flies open and reveals Summer standing there in jeans, a white tank top, and a black cardigan over it, her feet in fuzzy socks and even fuzzier house slippers.Β
Still, she looks so fucking beautiful.
Summer has a look on her face that he canβt read, and that in itself scares the shit out of him. Heβs experienced every single one of Summerβs emotions, been the target of a few of them too many times to count, but this one isβ¦
Different.
βFor you,β he forces himself to say, handing the roses out to her. βAs an apology. Or, the start to one.β
Summer eyes the roses, and for a split second Mat thinks he can see the corner of her mouth quirk up in a little smile, but then itβs gone. She takes the roses from him hesitantly, cradling them in her arms and staring at them for a second.
Mat hovers in the doorway, unsure of what to do.
Summer clears her throat, deciding for the both of them. βAre you just going to loiter in my hallway, thirteen? Or do you want to come in?βΒ
The urge he used to instinctively have to roll his eyes is gone, and instead all he can do is nod, crossing over the threshold when she steps aside to let him in.Β
He toes off his shoes by the door, following her inside. He waits while she puts the roses in a vase, looking at the art on her walls.
When she comes back, they sit on the couch, and Mat takes a small breath.
βMaybe I should go first this time,β Summer says suddenly. He nods, waiting patiently, and she sighs.Β
βI want to start off by saying that I do forgive you, and that I do understand where you and Anders were coming from, no matter how ridiculous. I think the thing that's kept me upset is that I couldn't tell for myself whether or not you kept me a secret for you, or for Anders.β
βIt was for Anders,β he swears. βI would never keep you a secret, Summer. I swear.β
βOkay,β she nods, accepting his answer. βThen with that being said, I donβt want to completely put you on the spot, but what exactly is this?β
βThis?β Mat asks, confused.
βYou and I,β Summer says. βWhat are we? Because Iβm going to be honest, Iβm not really sure.β
βWell, I would like to say youβre my girlfriend, but we didnβt really establish that.β He hesitates, gauging her reaction. βWould youβ¦would you agree that we were dating?β
Summer nods. βYeah, I thought we were. I thought you were my boyfriend.β
Mat really doesnβt like the past tense sheβs using, but ignores it. βIs there anything that's stopping you from thinking that I still am?β
βI just don't know that I'm clear on how you feel, and I would prefer we lay our cards out on the table now.β
βOkay,β he says, turning his body towards her. βThat first day that we met, Iβd spotted you before I even realized who you were. You came inside with Sabrina, and I could see you from where I was in the kitchen. I was staring at you when you met me, admittedly for probably a long time, because from that very first second, I thought you were beautiful, and I wanted to get to know you.β
Mat can see Summerβs surprised by his admission, but he continues. βIβve always liked you, and Iβve always been interested, but I was under the impression that you didn't like me, so I just followed your lead. I was jealous of your ex, I was jealous of that random dude from the club, and it was because this whole time I felt like I'd ruined my chances before I even had one. When you were finally single, and we slept together for the first time, it felt like I finally did have that chance, but then Anders stepped in andβ¦well you know the rest.βΒ
Summerβs quiet for a second, observing him, and then she nods. βI knew who you were when we met, it was kind of hard not to. I thought you were cute and I was excited to meet you, but then when I caught you staring, I got insecure. I thought you were judging me, and that's why I shut you out and didn't let you in at first.βΒ
Matβs heart shatters in his chest.Β
How could you not see I thought you were the most beautiful person Iβve ever seen? He wants to ask her, How could you not see you had me in the palm of your hands that very first day?
βI thought that there was no way that you would be interested in someone like me, so I put up a wall and thought it would be better to keep you at a distance. I didn't really intend for us to bicker for as long as we did.β Summer admits.
She takes a deep breath, fiddling with her own hands. βWhen I was with my ex, I was genuinely with him, and then when I wasn't, and you and I slept together, I was genuinely into you. I had a feeling that it might be complicated between you and Anders, and when you suggested not telling him anything at first, I understood, and I still understand, but I'm still having a hard time in my head trying to convince myself that you weren't trying to be malicious.βΒ
Mat moves to reassure her, but the soft smile she gives him stops him. βI know that you weren't, but like I said, that's for me to convince myself of and not you.β
βSoβ¦not that I have selective hearing, Iβm just trying to get this right. Do you have feelings for me?β Summer laughs softly at his question, but nods, so he continues. βAnd I have feelings for you. And you forgive me for what happened?βΒ
Summer nods again, βI do.β
βOkayβ¦thenβ¦β Mat trails off, unsure of how this is supposed to go.Β
βThen?β
βAre weβ¦okay?β He asks.
βWeβre okay,β Summer says, nodding. Thereβs a moment where Matβs relieved, where he feels like he can breathe again, but then she says βBut I donβt know if we should get back together. Orβ¦get together, however you want to put it.β
Matβs heart thumps hard in his chest. βWhat?βΒ
βNot today. Not right now.β She says, a small shake in her head. βI thinkβ¦don't you think we need to take a step back?βΒ
βWhat about a step at a time?β He offers.Β
Summer blinks. βWhat?β
βYou said we shouldnβt get back together today, and I can see your point. Not today. But maybeβ¦maybe we can just take this a day at a time?β
βMatβ¦β Summer hesitates, completely unsure. βI donβt know.β
βYou donβt have to know. Not right now. Thatβs why we can take it a day at a time.β
She eyes him quietly, a million emotions flitting across her face as the seconds pass between the two of them. βWhat would you even do? Where would we even start?β
βCoffee.β Mat says immediately. βJust coffee. Nothing more, nothing less. Just let me buy you a coffee.β
Summerβs quiet, and for a second, Mat worries sheβs going to say no, but then her shoulders relax, and she nods. βOkay, coffee sounds good.β
~
Three Months Later
βYou just wanted me close to a knife when it was in your hand, didnβt you?β
Summer shakes her head with a small laugh, turning the knife around in her hand so she holds the blade between her fingers, placing the handle in Matβs hand. He takes it, but the hesitancy is still in his gaze, so she idles up beside him, bumping his hip a little before focusing on the kitchen counter.
Mat had admitted that he hadnβt tried Filipino food before when Summer and Sabrina had gone to visit their parents in New Jersey, so sheβd offered to cook for him only on the condition he helped out.
Their father, Sonny, had come from the Philippines as a child with their grandparents. Their mother, Shauna, whoβd grown up in the Bronx, lost her parents by the time sheβd married their dad, and so the girls had mostly grown up with the Maldonado family.
Their grandmother, Soledad - the βSβ naming tradition in the family ran deep - had taught the girls how to cook staple dishes when they were young, so Summer could make this in her sleep.
Sheβd already gone through the meticulous and thorough process of showing Mat how to wash rice and correctly measure for the correct amount of water, and that was currently bubbling away in the rice cooker on her kitchen counter.Β
Now, she was going to walk him through making the marinade for probably the easiest dish to introduce Mat to when it came to Filipino cuisine - chicken adobo.
βOkay, so Iβm going to cut up the onion, but I need you to mince the garlic. We have eight cloves here, and youβre going to take a piece of garlic and put it under your blade,β she instructs, grabbing one of the extra cloves of garlic sheβd put aside for practice, and moving it to her board. She places her blade right on top and waits until Matβs done the same.
βGood, now donβt hesitate, just bring the meat of your fist, pinky side down, onto the back side of the blade, and smash the clove. Just be sure youβre holding the handle of the knife firmly, like this,β Summer says, then brings her hand down, listening to the blade and the satisfying crunch of the garlic clove beneath it.
Mat follows suit on his own clove, and of course, because heβs apparently good at everything, gets it right on the first try. He smiles shyly anyway, waiting for her confirmation, to which she smiles, giving him a quick peck on the lips. βPerfect.β
Mat beams at the praise. βReally?β
βYeah, so just do that to the other seven, and itβll be easier to chop those up. Think you can handle it?β
He nods, reaching for another clove, and Summer tosses him the one on her board before grabbing the onion.Β
They work in a silent tandem, and Summer chances a look at him to find his tongue peeking out from between his lips in concentration.
It makes her heart twinge with something she isnβt totally ready to come to terms with.
Theyβd been doing thisβ¦thingβ¦taking it a day at a time, for the last few months. Mat had taken her out on countless dates, focusing on romancing her the way he would have had they not gotten off on the wrong foot. There had been some sex, not a lot, but whenever they did have sex, it was always intense, and Mat always made a point to reassure Summer every chance he got, in bed and out of it, that he thought she was beautiful, kind, and everything he ever wanted.
Outside of that, Mat had taken her to meet his parents and his sister, and even joined her on her bi-weekly Saturday visits to Anders and Sabrinaβs home for family dinners. The captain and his winger were still working on repairing that whole mess, but it was getting better, for the most part.Β
And now he was here. In her kitchen. Learning how to make her Lolaβs chicken adobo.Β
When she finished with the onion, she tossed everything into a pan with a little vegetable oil, placed it on the stove and fired up the burner. She grabbed a bowl from the cabinet, then brought it over to Mat for him to dump in his minced garlic.Β
βPretty good there, thirteen.β She says before guiding him to the sink to wash and dry their hands.Β
βOkay, now what do I do?βΒ
Summer smiles, pointing at the ingredients next to the stove. Thereβs shoyu, vinegar, brown sugar, black pepper, chicken stock, peppercorns, and bay leaves. βI need you to measure out the ingredients on the card by the bottles and put them in that little bowl next to it.β
βWhat? Iβm on measuring duty?β He asks, wrinkling his nose with a frown.
Summer leans up and kisses his nose before backing away. βItβs because youβre meticulous, so I trust you.β
He blinks after her kiss, then nods, heading over to his new station with a little more pep in his step.
Summer stirs the onions around since theyβve already started to cook, then grabs the minced garlic and tosses it in before heading to the fridge.Β
Her Lolaβs recipe is usually meant as dinner for two, so she had six pieces of chicken thighs rinsed and pat dry set aside specifically for dinner tonight. Bringing the plate out of the fridge and over to the pan, she grabs a pair of tongs and places each piece skin side down once the onions and garlic get fragrant, allowing them to brown a bit.Β
She double checks on Matβs progress, only to find him already done, marinade measuring and poured in the bowl, and his eyes on Summer, watching her with a cheshire smile.
βLook at you,β she muses, going easily to him when he opens his arms, wrapping her own around his waist. βHope youβre not too attached to your diet.β She teases.Β
Mat scoffs. βAs if.β
βYouβre right,β Summer agrees, running her hands under his shirt and caressing the hard muscle of his abdomen. βYou donβt really need it.β
She feels him flex under her fingers and she laughs, looking up to find him smirking down at her, the heat in his eyes evident. βWell I kinda need it, gotta stay in shape to keep up with you at night.β
As if to remind her, her bodyβs muscles choose that moment to remind her of their ache, and Summer flushes, pushing away from Mat to head back to her place on the stove.Β
βWell,β she begins, flipping the chicken over. βI appreciate your dedication. Can you bring over the marinade?β
He nods, grabbing the bowl and carefully idling up beside her.Β
βOkay, now youβre just gonna pour it over everything, but make sure you cover each piece of chicken when you go.β She watches as Mat follows her instruction, and once heβs done, she shakes the pan a little, lowers the temperature a smidge, then covers it with a lid.
βNow what?β He asks, looking around. Sheβd already washed and set the rice to cook in the rice cooker on her counter, but he didnβt see any additional food lying around.
βWell, we have to let it cook for about fifteen minutes, and then we add the finishing touches, and then we eat!β
She ushers him back toward the stove to wash their hands again. It was something sheβd learned as a kid, washing her hands after every step in cooking, and she hoped Mat didnβt think it was weird or strange.
He didnβt seem to mind though, going easily along and washing and drying his hands beside her without complaint.
βSoβ¦we have fifteen minutes to ourselves?β He asks, setting up a timer on his phone.Β
Summer raises a brow at him in suspicion. βYesβ¦why?β
Mat smirks, leaning with his hip against the sink when he reaches for Summer. βCause Iβve been thinking about eating your pussy since this morning. Can I?β
He takes her in his arms before she can answer, and then heβs kissing her neck, hands wrapping around her waist and down to her ass, palming the flesh in his hands. She moans a little when his teeth nip at her neck, and she has to push him away to be able to back up and out of his space. βMat, we shouldnβt, we-β
βPlease baby,β he pleads, taking a step and crowding her back against the counter. βJust this once?β She feels his hands creep at the hem of her dress - the easiest thing to wear around him, especially when they tend to have moments like this - his fingers bunching it up to her stomach when he drops to his knees.Β
Summer finds herself automatically grabbing the material between her fingers, nodding her head and lifting her hips away from the counter for Mat to pull her underwear down her legs. She doesnβt miss the smile that crosses his face when he runs the lace through his fingers, and stuffs the fabric in the pocket of his jeans.
βJump up on the counter, baby.β He says, waiting for Summer to settle onto the counter before pulling her forward, her butt resting on the edge of the counter. Mat grabs one of her barstools from the other side and places it right in front of her before taking a seat, pressing βstartβ on the timer on his phone.
He feels like he could drool a little at the sight of her open and bare for him, the prettiest shade of pink shining at him like a neon sign saying βjust for you.β
Not another second passes before heβs burying his face into her pussy, Summer letting out a blissful and content sigh as her body relaxes and Mat settles her feet on his shoulders, gently circling his hand around her ankles and encouraging her to wrap her legs around his head, to pull him in closer.
She doesnβt, not right away, anyway, too wrapped up in the feeling of Matβs tongue. He squeezes her ankle once, trying to get her attention, and all Summer can manage is to loll her head to the side to peek at him. He rises up a little, speaking against her skin, not wanting to be too far from her.
βWrap those beautiful legs around my head, baby.β
All she can manage is a nod, and Mat returns to his task, moaning when her warm thighs touch either side of his face, his shoulders under her knees and her beautiful calves resting on his back. He can feel when she locks her ankles behind him and he settles in closer, relaxing against her as his mouth continues to devour her pussy, her arousal dripping down his chin.
He feels her nails scratch against his scalp when her hands dive into his hair, fingers gripping his curls and lightly tugging. Mat knows those tugs by heart now, which one means to keep going, which ones mean to ease up, which ones mean sheβs loving it and not to stop or sheβll kill him.
βMat,β she whimpers, her thighs squeezing his head and he nods, bringing his hands up to squeeze her breasts, loving when her hands cover his, holding onto him.Β
He says nothing, just focuses on keeping his pace and the way Summerβs body reacts to his mouth, beginning to feel her start to shake under him as she gets closer and closer to her orgasm.
Right when Mat thinks sheβs going to grip his hair tighter, letting him know that sheβs about to come, she suddenly sits up, pushing him back gently.
βBaby?β He asks, confused.
βGet up,β she says, and heβs up and off the stool in a second, approaching her carefully. Heβs only a little surprised when she reaches for the waistband of his jeans, making quick work of the button and the zipper. By the time Matβs brain catches up to him and finally understands what Summer wants, sheβs got her hands in the waistband of his briefs, pulling them down while Matβs cock springs free.
He watches as her pupils blow out wide, and smirks a little. Gently, he places a finger under her chin, coaxing her gaze back to his face. He kisses her a couple of times while crowding into her space, resting his cock against her soaked pussy while she chases the taste of herself on his tongue.Β
Mat grips her waist, pulling her a little further to the edge of the counter, gently moving his hips.Β
βNeedy girl,β he playfully chastises. βWonβt even let me finish eating that pretty pussy because youβre so desperate for cock.βΒ
Her eyes flash up at him, her playful spitfire in her eyes at his dirty talk. Matβs found out that this is the kind of push and pull she prefers most, when he teases her or says dirty things and she can fight him back on it in a way that doesnβt cost them both.Β
Mat can see that she wants to talk back, but she bites her lip to refrain herself.Β
βUse your words pretty girl,β he says, grinding his cock against her. βAsk me nicely.β
βPlease give me your cock,β Summer replies obediently. βI need it.β
Mat smiles, murmuring a soft βGood girl,β then heβs moving his hips back until the tip of his cock catches at her entrance and pushes in slowly, watching Summerβs face the whole time.
He loves this part, loves watching the way her whole body relaxes, watching the way her eyes flutter shut and her beautiful mouth parts just a little as her body welcomes him. He leans forward, capturing her lips in a gentle kiss as he bottoms out, waiting for her to adjust to him.
Heβs learned he loves that part, too - how no matter how many times theyβve done this so far, she always seems to need a minute to adjust to him. But whenever she did, she took him so well that they could go at it over and over again till their muscles were sore.
While he waits for her to adjust, he takes a quick glance over at her stove, then at his phone, checking the time. Nothingβs burning, but heβs still only got about five or so minutes left.
Mat turns back to her, bending his head and burying his face into Summerβs neck, leaving filthy open mouthed kisses, speaking in between.Β
βAre you okay if we make this quick? Since we are cooking and all.β
That seems to bring her back to reality just a little, because he can feel her nod, and then sheβs locking her ankles behind his back again, pulling him in closer - her usual sign that sheβs ready for whatever Mat gives her.
He carefully pulls back before pushing back in, setting a pace he knows is enough to bring Summer to orgasm in no time. Summer lays back on the counter, and Matβs hands immediately go to her breasts, cupping them through the material before yanking it down, smirking to himself when he finds sheβs not wearing a bra.
Mat leans down, sucking a nipple into his mouth and drawing a soft whine from Summerβs lips. A whine that tells him that sheβs definitely going to come in no time if he keeps it up.
He laps at her skin with his tongue, sucking at her skin as his hips piston in and out of her, moaning when he feels her squeeze down on him as her breath catches in her throat. Her back bends and he keeps his pace, his own orgasm quickly approaching as Summer comes around him, squeezing his cock in a vice grip and wrapping her legs tighter around his waist.Β
He comes a few seconds later, buried deep inside and his mouth still latched to her, tongue soothing over the now bruised skin.Β
His favorite part is this, the moment right after they fuck - how she seems so content to just lay there with him and let him hold her, let him stay inside her till heβs either ready to go again or ready to help clean her up or drag them both to the shower.
They catch their breath for a moment, Mat just staring down at her, admiring her beautiful curves, her full breasts, the curve of her belly. He traces his hands down her stomach, gently caressing her skin, rubbing at where heβs still buried inside her.
Her breath catches in her throat at the same time the timer goes off on his phone, and they both jump, Mat slipping out of her suddenly, and they both hiss at the loss.
βWell,β Summer says through a small sigh, βLooks like lunch is ready.β
Mat frowns. βBut I already ate?β
Summer blinks at him, and when he smirks playfully, wagging his eyebrows, she rolls her eyes, slowly sitting up. βFunny, thirteen.β
He leans in for a kiss, and she softens, going lax in his embrace. Between kisses, Mat can feel his heart hammering in his rib cage, and he murmurs βI love you, Summer,β before he can stop himself.
She pauses for a second, lips frozen against his, and he backs up, gauging her reaction. Sheβs shocked, that much is obvious, and Mat can see the hesitation, so he leans in, kisses the tip of her nose, then her cheeks.
βYou donβt have to say it back,β he says, βI can wait as long as you need me to. I just wanted to make sure I laid all my cards out on the table.β
She leans back, looking into his eyes. Mat knows what sheβs looking for, knows sheβs trying to make sure heβs being genuine, but heβs pretty sure heβs got hearts in his eyes, so sheβs probably going to find what sheβs looking for pretty quick.
βMatβ¦β She says, his name soft and syrupy on her lips.
βI love you,β he repeats again, leaning in to kiss her again. βAnd you can tell me when youβre ready.β
He pulls away, heading toward the stove to finish up, but Summer takes him by surprise, pulling him back to her and kissing him like her life depends on it, wrapping her arms around his neck and drawing him close.
βIβm ready,β she says between kisses. βI love you.β

A little piece of heaven [Part 2]
Pairing: Wade Wilson x Original Female Character x Logan Howlett. Summary: In Wade's timeline, Iris is his supernice upstairs neighbor. In Wolverine's, she's his beloved dead wife. A/N: This is a Wattpad Fic with an original character of mine that you can find here. Warnings: Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers, kinda.
PREVIOUS PART.
Chapter 2: A little bit of context/Filler chapter.
To be completely honest, Iris had in fact seen a Logan each time she fell asleep ever since she was eighteen, maybe a bit younger. It was a good thing that she only dreamwalked into hers that were her age, because the amount of times she had seen that man naked without even meeting him in real life was a bit concerning.Β
It had grown gradually, obviously. The first Logan she ever saw was in a museum, in a universe where mutants didn't exist. It was a small kid called James Howlett, painted in quite a depressive picture. The second, however, was in a bar and he had tried to flirt with her, but the version of her in that universe wasn't having any of it.
Iris realized that most of the universes where they were teammates, it ended up in an annoying slowburn. She was usually a bit shy, he usually teased her about that, then they'd kiss, and then they'd fuck. AndΒ fuck, was sex with LoganΒ good.
He'd always be in love with Jean first, though. When the version of her in those realities had feelings for Logan before he had feelings for her, yeah, that shitΒ stung.Β
But it was reassuring, somehow, knowing that in every universe she was able to find him. There were some obstacles in the way, of course. Some Jeans, some Peters, a few Ororos too, maybe a Kurt here and there, butΒ they always ended up together.Β
By the time she was 20, she was excited. She had fallen in love over and over, and over again with the same person and she wantedΒ hers, she wanted to feel what it was like.
Time passed and a few flings came across her way. She knew Logan wouldn't mind, he never did. Besides, he had a century of experience before she even existed, so why should she care?
Then Mark came along and the thought of Logan wasn't appealing anymore,Β no. She didn't remember any Marks in her dreams either, so for a long while she thought it was her equivalent for a Logan and she let herself fall in love for the very first time.
He was stubborn, and rough and charming in every way that Logan was. He made her come out of her shell, helped her leave her family, gave her a life of their own. It was a long relationship, five years. They got engaged even. And yes, the dreams had started to become a bit annoying, and hearing his girlfriend moan and whimper another man's name could make anyone mad, but she thought that after five years of heaven, Mark would never raise his hand at her.Β
Yet he did, and then came two other years of complete isolation.
When Iris moved into the apartment that, conveniently, was located above Wade's, she didn't really think she was ready for any kind of relationship, and Mark definitely wasn't ready for her to have one either. She was escaping him, she was frightened, she had no life and no friends.Β
And yes, Mark was an asshole. And yes, we should hate him, but at least his pitiful excuse of an existence served for Iris to meet Wade.
Mark was a very confrontational person, she wondered after their relationship if her fascination for Logan made her blind to all the red flags that wereΒ right thereΒ the whole time, or if she was truly that dumb; but she knew she hoped that he got into a fight with Wade, a fight that would give him no option but to finish Mark's life.
So yeah, she asked him to scare him off, but she hoped he'd kill him.
What came out of that was a beautiful, wholesome friendship. She'd been there when he was scared of reaching out for Vanessa, and she was there when they were finally a thing again. She even remembered how Vanessa was wary of her at first, scared that Wade and her were a thing.
And that wouldΒ neverΒ happen.Β
She had pegged him only five times, and they'd shotgunned like... What? Two times?
HeΒ asked!Β What were friends for?
Anyways, Wade was her first friend since first year of college. She'd never met another mutant before and, even if Wade wasn't exactly mutant born, he understood what it was like to be different. He protected her, he helped her protect herself and he wasΒ funny.
So, despite having a though childhood and a tormented love life, she felt grateful of being in the life of someone like Wade. She'd be at any party he wanted her to be. Celebrate his birthday all over again?Β Fuck it,Β let's celebrate it twice a month.Β
That night, right after handling the 30 hormonal teenagers that conformed her class, she went back home and dressed up for the occasion. Iris was thirty-four years old and for the first time she was feeling fulfilled. She was a bit tipsy, talking to Vanessa as she rested over the table and her friend smiled sweetly, telling her something about the guy she was seeing.
It sucked that she was happy with someone that wasn't Wade, but she loved seeing her friend happy nonetheless.Β
Then Vanessa asked about her day and she recalled the stupid child that chose to use her class as an intervention to confess his undying love for another student. It was cute, but seeing him get rejected still made her let out an incredulous laugh that could play off as cruel.
And her reaction to the story made her laugh harder.Β
Then the melody of her favorite song started playing, and she swayed in place as Vanessa recalled the memory of the last time someone did something as cringe as that for her.Β Of course it had to be Wade.Β Iris closed her eyes, laughing and the door swung open, and she turned around to greet the birthday boy.
"Wade! I thought for a second there that you weren't going to make it! This is actually my outfit for your funeral!"
It was.Β
"It's the most hideous thing I've seen in my life and yet you managed to pull it off!" She took it as a compliment, closing her eyes with a toothy grin appreciatively, "I came back andΒ I brought you a gift."
She took a look beside him andΒ oh shit.
OH SHIT.
Was that a Logan?

AUTHORS NOTE: this is from the second chapter of my currently unpublished fic. in which I have a faceclaim, so please feel free to disregard the descriptive factors of the βreaderβ character.
18+ READER. MINORS DNI.
The lights at the party had tried to set them up for failure. Stumbling through the hallways with his hand in hers, trailing along behind Y/N, she desperately looked for an empty room. It wasn't surprising that so many of the doors were locked, it was a party with drugs and alcohol.
It hadn't taken her long before she had taken a few hits off of one of her friends, getting Ethan to join along since she knew he hadn't been drinking much.
Y/N and Ethan had often gotten high at the apartment, both while Devon was there and while she had left to hangout with Tara. They would often find themselves sprawled out on the floor listening to songs that made them feel like their hearts and skin were dancing.
But tonight had different plans.
The feeling was going throughout them fluidly, they swayed along to the music. Maybe a little too close for the comfort of those who were sober around them.Β Ethan still couldn't keep his eyes off of her, the dress and shoes were so enticing to the eye. But it didn't help that she wore that beautiful smirk she always did when she saw how he looked at her.
The way it felt to have her brush up against him, it made him wish he had taken Chad's advice and worn less clothing such as he himself did. If only to feel her skin lightly touch his as her hands wondered around his arms and chest.
He had no idea that she was wish the same thing, rushing her hands over him with a more harsh touch. Upset that she could only feel the cotton that covered most of his skin. She might have stayed there and eventually stopped dancing to get a drink if he hadn't decided to graze his fingertips over her cheek and along her collarbone.
She yanked him away from the crowd. Everyone moving quickly as she found the stairs and they found themselves in the present. Testing every doorknobs in the house, getting more anxious and frustrated the more they found that were locked tight.
Y/N was grumbling under her breath, trying to talk herself down from taking him in the hallway out of pure desperation. And right when she thought she might have to, a door clicked open.
She swung it open and pulled him in front of her, pushing him into the room and slamming the door behind her with the lock turned. She reached for the cardboard helmet on his head, going to rip it off aggressively before she remembered how long it took him to make.
She gently tugged it off his head and let his soft brown curls fall into his face. His deep chocolate eyes were staring down at her with such sweet hunger. He'd never want anything more than he wanted her.
He took it upon himself to remove his chest plate, not wanting to waste anymore time. She slowly let her hands fall down his torso, finding the hem of his shirt and pulling it up over his head. He was quickly left in nothing but his boxers, almost fully exposed to the only eyes he'd ever let see him like this.
Ethan was sat at the edge of the bed, the lamp behind him just bright and reflective enough to give her a clear look at his doe eyes staring holes into her. They danced along as he scanned her body up and down, he wanted to badly to reach out and pull her dress off. However, he knew that if he waited, he would be more likely to receive the treatment he actually wanted.
He opted for using his words instead of his hands, "Y/N, c-can you please let me take off your dress?" His hands gripped onto the sheets underneath him, waiting for her response.
Her lips curled up at both ends, her red lip still perfectly in tact. But he watched her silk brown hair sway as she shook her head, "Not yet, baby."
She pushed him back on the bed, reaching down to finally release his cock from his boxers. It was just as it had been every time they had found themselves in positions similar to this one. Long with veins running down every which way, relatively slender which she didn't mind as her hands were rather small, and it was a pretty shade of pink with the tip and very angry red.
It was no surprise when it sprang up out of his bottoms leaking enough pre-cum that she didn't even need to spit in her hand to easily pump up and down the length of it. No time was wasted before small moans fell from his plush lips, whimpering after every single one.
Y/N sat besides him, her free hand placed on high thigh that she could start to feel tense up.
It had only been about thirty seconds and he was already getting ready to cum. This was rewarded in no way as she pulled her hand quickly off of his cock. His eyes flew open and he looked at her with his brows furrowed, "What the fuck, Y/N?!β
She quickly swung herself onto his lap, straddling him before reaching up to place a smack across his face. As his head swung to the side, she grabbed his face harshly with one hand, "Is that how we ever talk to mommy?"
And there he was, shrinking underneath her, her presence becoming so much larger than his. He began to shake, "No, of course not. I'm so sorry momma." Tears stinging his eyes, heat began to pool between her legs at the sight below her.
She got off of him, making him cry even more. His red eyes looking up to her as she finally gestured him to move further up the bed. He used his remaining strength and let his head hit the pillow, his body knew exactly what was going to come next.
She finally slipped off her heels, reaching to the bottom of her dress and pulling it up to swing her leg of head, one on each side of his face. His cheeks grew red at the sight of her bare pussy in front of his face, growing harder from the fact that she hadn't been wearing anything underneath her dress this whole time.
He quickly lunged forward, his hands wrapped around her thighs. As much as she didn't enjoy the feeling, she wasn't in the mood for his attitude and was still at full force on the reigns. She lifted herself higher, not letting his tongue taste her just yet. Y/N didn't waste time to swat his hands away. "What have I told you, Ethan? No touching until I say you can, okay?"
There was such a tenderness to her voice, it made him melt into the bed beneath him. His shook his head, curls bobbing as he looked eagerly at his next treat.
She finally began to lower herself onto him, rolling her hips along his face as she began to feel noises rip from her throat. She wasn't sure at first if it was coming from him or herself, it wasn't often that it was the latter. But something about the high mixed with her lust made her fall apart.
She placed herself a little higher on his face, his nose now rubbing against her clit as his tongue darted in and out of her. He was lapping up everything he could, he began to thrust into the air behind him.
Y/N could feel herself coming undone, and even though she hated to admit it, she knew Ethan knew she was close. She felt him grin underneath her, and there she was pulling herself away from him.
His eyes grew wide once more and he reached to stop her, "Mommy, I'm sorry. I promise I'll behave, please just let me show you."
He had not know her intentions, she plopped off the bed before crawling back on a couple feet down so that she could once again straddle his bottom half. Her wet pussy rubbing its slick all over his throbbing cock.
She rolled her hips again, slowly and making sure to take it inch by inch as he began to shake even more vigorously than he did before. She couldn't help but giggle at the way his eyes were shut so tightly she could see them darting around underneath his eyelids.
Finally, she decided she had enough teasing and pulled his member into position so that she could sink down onto him. Bouncing up and down as she began to smile brightly and let her head fall back.
Her eyes rolled into the back of her head as he filled her up perfectly, like two puzzle pieces specially made for one another. She let herself fall toward, hands on his toned chest. "Oh, baby boy, you can touch me now if you want. I can see how bad you are shaking."
For the first time in the whole night, he let out a load moan. His hands found their way to her hips, rising and falling as she did the same on his cock. He couldn't stop them now, his throat clenched around air as he choked out moan after moan.
She only started to bounce harder and faster, making him lose his mind even more. He didn't notice that tears were streaming down his face, he was letting out fresh sobs in between his moaning and whimpering. She looked down and relished in the fact that she was the reason for tears to be staining his pretty little face.
"Oh, you are so good for mommy, my pretty boy." She leaned down and kissed his tears before licking them off her lips. She knew he was finally reaching his high once again as his hips began to buck up into her.
As he did so, he had hit the very spot that always sent her over the edge. It wasn't long before both of them were riding out their highs together, her clenching around him and milking out each and every strand of cum that she can get out of him.
They both come back down, herself still positioned on top of him as if not to let any of his cum leak from her quite yet. He was finally starting to calm down, "Thank you, mommy. You always make me feel so good, I love you."
She leaned down and brush her lips against his, he opened his brown eyes and stared into hers which looked like they were made of eyes, but felt like they were full of warmth. She smirked, "I love you too, baby."
They could have stayed like that forever. But just as fast as they came, there was a pounding at the door.
Devon was on the other side, "Y/N! We have to get going, shits going down downstairs!" She yelled, knowing that both Ethan and Y/N would immediately compose themselves.
Y/N rummaging through a drawer in the room and finding a random pair of underwear to steal so that she could lose as little of his cum as possible as she was forced to leave from ecstasy earlier than she had planned.

Not Stupid At All
A/N: Sorry I haven't been very active lately, I'm a busy gal at school these days. Hope you like this short fic! I love this boy with my entire heart and I feel absolutely no shame in telling you all that he is my ride or die comfort character<3. Might edit this later because I don't love it, but it'll do for now
Pairing: Eddie Munson x female!reader
Warnings: none I think
______________________________________________________________
Months into the school year, Eddie was still impressed with himself for managing to befriend you that first day of school, when you'd sat all alone at lunch, poking at the grimy "meal" on your lunch tray. His friends had been trying to tell him about a new store that was opening up in town, but he barely heard them.
"And I heard they'll have... Eddie?" Gareth had said, noting Eddie's distraction. "Hello?..."
But Eddie was too busy watching you dig through your bag and pull out a notebook. He'd wished he could stand over you and see what you were writing, get a glimpse of what you were thinking. He felt a swell of affection when he noted the way you tilted your head as you scribbled, the light hitting your hair in a way that made him swoon.
It took a nudge from Dustin to catch Eddie's attention once more; he let out a yelp of pain and mostly surprise.
"Fuck was that for?" he asked, but Gareth cut in then.
"That was for you not listening."
Eddie rolled his eyes and tried to listen, but after a few minutes, it was clear he was completely unfocused again. Jeff waved a hand in front of his face, asking Eddie what his problem was.
"Nothing, man. I'm fine."
"You've been quiet all of lunch," Gareth pointed out, Mike nodding in agreement next to him. Suddenly, every eye at the table was on him, expecting an answer.
"Jeez, guys, I don't fucking know! I'm fine, just..." without knowing how to finish, Eddie slumped forward, messing with his jacket collar.
"Just what?"
"Guys, maybe lay off? He said he was fine," Dustin tried, but no one else was buying it. After a few more unanswered questions, Eddie caved.
"Alright, alright, I'm just kinda, I don't know... I mean, have you seen that girl before?" He said the last part an octave lower, hoping to be discreet, but it didn't matter; every other boy's head swiveled around to look at you sitting at the next table over.
"Way to be subtle, guys, Jesus," he huffed. Gareth was the first to speak.
"Nah, I've never seen her. Probably new."
Obviously, thought Eddie. You had to be new. Eddie would have noticed you if you'd come to this school last year, no question.
"She's cute," Jeff commented.
"Gorgeous," Eddie spat before he could stop himself. Gareth laughed loud enough to draw your attention, and you looked up from your notes, slightly startled. Surely others nearby had done the same, but Eddie didn't care-- he just didn't want to draw your attention.
"Shut the fuck up!" he whisper shouted, reaching across the table to flick his friend in the forehead. When he looked back in your direction, your focus was back on your work.
"Just go say hi," Dustin suggested, earning a snort from Mike. Eddie rolled his eyes. Jeff clapped Eddie on the back, agreeing with the curly-haired freshman.
"No," he said curtly, hoping to end the conversation there, but with this group, it was never that easy. They encouraged him some more, but he denied them once again.
"No, I'd look totally stupid just going up to her."
"No way man," Mike declared. "Not stupid at all. Just be cool. It'll go great."
"Go get 'em, tiger," Jeff growled playfully, "or I'm calling her over." Eddie raised his eyebrows in surprise, his mouth agape.
"No! No, stop. Alright, I'll go say hi. Just shut the fuck up."
______________________________________________________________
It had been months since then, and you'd been kind enough to befriend Eddie. The two of you spent time together almost every day. Every time you looked at him he got lightheaded, and whenever you hugged him goodbye he could barely manage to stand up straight. When you'd asked in your sweet voice if Eddie could be your regular ride home from school, all he could do was nod. He'd probably say yes to anything you asked of him, now that he thought of it.
"What should we do?" you now asked as you sat in Eddie's van in the school parking lot after a DnD session.
"Uh... we could go for a drive? Listen to some music, pick up some snacks, and just drive around for a bit?"
You smiled at that, nodding slightly. The gesture set off the butterflies in his stomach.
"You can choose the music," Eddie allowed, expecting you to choose Wham! or Cyndi Lauper or another artist that he didn't particularly like but had picked up from the store for you to listen to when he drove you home. Instead, you picked out a Metallica album and handed it to Eddie.
"Are you sure? I feel like these songs are kinda intense for a chill night," he asked, completely astonished at your choice. But you were sure, and you told him you wanted to listen to what he liked tonight.
He hadn't thought you could get any sexier, but here you were.
After stopping at the store, the two of you chatted lightly between bites.
"This is nice," you said suddenly. "I mean, the other guys are fun to hang out with and everything, but I feel more relaxed with you."
Eddie could have passed out then and there. You liked spending time with just him? Before he could respond, you spoke again.
"Sorry, I made that sound kind of weird. I just meant that, ugh, I don't know, I mean, you're just... very sweet." From the corner of his eye, Eddie could see that you had your head ducked down and that you wrung your fingers in your lap. Before saying anything, he desperately needed to park the car. He couldn't focus on the road and what you were saying to him at the same time. His mind was racing-- could you actually be trying to tell him what he'd been hoping to hear since the day he met you?
He found an empty parking lot and put the van in park, but it took him a few moments to figure out what he wanted to say back to you. You quickly scrambled for an apology.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to weird you out--"
"No, no you didn't, Y/N." Eddie said quickly, realizing that he needed to come up with something quick.
"I... I like spending time with you too," he said, then internally cringed, realizing how stupid he sounded.
"You do?" you asked. He was surprised that you couldn't tell already. Every moment that he wasn't at band practice, at work, or in class (and even sometimes then), he was with you.
"Yeah," he whispered, and you smiled, shifting to face him in your seat.
"Can I tell you something?" you asked.
"Anything," Eddie breathed. You hesitated for a moment, a blush rising to your cheeks. The anticipation practically killed him.
"I've kind of had feelings for you for a while now," as you spoke, Eddie's world imploded, the car windows shattered, the music blared, the lights in the parking lot flickered wildly-- "and I was wondering if you would ever consider, you know, going out on a date some time."
Eddie didn't know what to say. The girl of his dreams had just asked him on a date, and he was completely speechless. His world had just been turned on its head, and she expected him to give her an answer without blowing up right where he sat? But the longer he sat there staring at you dumbfounded, the more your expression turned from hopeful to embarrassed, and he had to put a stop to that quickly.
"Yes," he choked out, "of course, I'll go on a date with you." You looked over at him with wide eyes.
"Really?"
"Yes, Y/N. I've had feelings for you since the day I met you." You tried to hide your grin by looking down at your lap, making Eddie smile stupidly at your cuteness.
"Why haven't you said anything?" you asked, unaware of Eddie's gaze. He shrugged, then began to speak.
"I guess I didn't want to mess up a good thing, ya know? I mean, you are undeniably the smartest, sweetest, most beautiful girl I know. And I was lucky enough to be your friend. I didn't want to tell you how I felt and make things weird between us if you didn't feel the same." You giggled and shook your head at his assumption.
"No, honestly, I've had a crush on you since we met too. I remember Gareth laughing at something at lunch the first day of school. When I looked over at your table, I saw you sitting across from him. I remember thinking how cool you looked. Your hair, your clothes--" you stopped yourself then, clapping your hand over your mouth to guard yourself from revealing any more. Eddie leaned into you, his eyes begging you to tell him more.
You squeezed your eyes shut and cringed, but Eddie only laughed and pulled your hand away from your mouth. Now that he knew how you felt, he had to know the rest. He was on top of the world tonight, and he wanted to bask in the glory of being admired by you for as long as he possibly could.
"Ugh, um, okay..." you continued, "you looked really stressed initially, but when you came over to talk to me, you were so confident and, I don't know, it was exciting. You wanted to be my friend. I could barely speak. Kinda stupid, I know."
"No way," Eddie laughed. "Not stupid at all. I felt the same way."
When you looked up at Eddie, he was staring at you with the gentlest expression you'd ever seen on him. He was still holding your hand in his, and you intertwined his fingers with yours. He smiled at this and brought his other hand up to cup your cheek. The pads of his fingers were a bit rough from playing his guitar, but you liked the feeling.
Soon, you were lifting your chin, and he was pressing his lips gently to yours. He brushed your cheek with his thumb as he kissed you, and your heart was beating out of your chest. Eddie's kisses were sweet and slow, the exact opposite of what you'd expect from a guy like him.
When you pulled away, the beautiful boy in front of you was smiling. "So," he began, "where will this date be held?"

Thoughts on V3NOM
This 1 feels very Rushed to say the least, like aside from all the cool backstory with Knull and the Symbiotes, this 1 feels the most Weaker Story wise, like Don't get me wrong it's a GOOD movie, but in my opinion, it could've been WAYY better.
Like there are so many things that I feel could've been expanded upon more if given more time, like the fact that Eddie doesn't even feel like a character anymore, instead now being a Plot device that is just meant to get βVenomβ from point A to point B, to the fact that shit that feels like it's gonna go somewhere DOESN'T, to even the fact that Knull, THE MAIN VILLAIN OF THE MOVIE, doesn't even FEEL like a looming threat, which is really BAFFLING in my opinion; I haven't read King in Black o I don'tΒ really know that much about him but if you tellΒ me that he's supposed to be the BE All END All type of Villain, than I expect to see it, like this is supposed to be the GOD of Symbiotes yet the βScariestβ thing this guy's done, is just sit in a chair Menacinly and send minions the entire movie. (I guess bro took a page out thanos's book on how to NOT be Menacing) like I wanna see what exactly makes him So terrifying to begin with.Β
Another thing that bothered me is how WASTED everything feels, like this is supposed to be the FINAL Movie, yet things don't feel fulfilled or resolved, so many questions are lingering still, Eddie's relationship with Anne hasn't gotten better, in fact she feels like an Afterthought at this point, and characters and Plot points that feel like their going to have a Major impact, DON'T. Oh and does even get me STARTED on how the Symbiotes were handled in this movie, like here I was, ready to get excited to see Lasher, Toxin, andΒ the other Symbiotes make their Debut and hopefully kick some ass, and they all get Effing WASHED like yesterday's laundry, LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL F%*K Sony!? Also how you gonna give us effing Agony before SCREAM, the better female and better looking Symbiote in my opinion.
And another thing, im sorry but am I the only 1 that seems to remember that the Symbiotes have the ability to make clothes, like there's a scene in the Trailer where Eddie's wearing a Black tux and i originally thought that this was their way of showing that the Symbiote made him clothes, which isn't really seen that much, other than a few cartoons incorporating it along the Insomniac Spiderman games, and I thought this would be the PERFECT opportunity for that, but No, instead it was just cuz venom knocked a dude out and Jacked him of his clothes, which IS funny but C'MON!
1 thing I absolutely Loved tho about this movie was how they Humanized The Symbiotes, like they actually feel like peaceful creatures who are just trying to look for a New home, and people tend to forget about that, like aside from OG Venom and Carnage the Symbiotes aren't really all that Evil, they're just misunderstood and I'm really glad Sony chose to focus on that, So ya earn a Gold star there Sony, however, I just wish they had more time to flesh out the Symbiotes because aside from venom, they LITERALLY almost all feel and act the same, Maybe if they had more personality I'd like them more but so far, they literally either all SOUND the same, or ACT the same, and that's kinda sucky considering each Symbiote in the comics Has their own personality, like Venom is a goofball who only really is Evil because of his Hatred towards Spiderman, other than that he's just a chocolate loving monster who loves surf the Web and Apparently Sing Strangers in Night, Meanwhile Carnage on ther hand is a PSYCHOPATHIC killer, who ENJOYS what he does, he enjoys KILLING just because he can, and it really shows if ya read Absolute Carnage; I didn't really enjoy how they handled Carnage in Venom 2 mainly because I'm So used to Carnage acting a certain way and because I mainly know Carnage through the original spider man Ps1 game and through the Original Spider man 90s animated show, but it was better than nothing I guess. ^^; (Still, I just WISH he didn't SOUND like that, because I'm sorry that's NOT Carnage)
The last 2 movies felt more like HOMAGES to whatever came before, mainly 90s stuff from Lethal Protector, to Maximum Carnage, all the way to the Life foundation, they all just really felt like something you'd probably see back then in the early to mid 2000s, just some fun movies to watch with Simple direction, and Ok Storytelling, you MAY not get it, but you'd STILL enjoy it, THIS ONE however, felt more like it was trying to be more modern, and trying to setup too many things as possible, while also leaving you kinda *Disappointed* to say?Β I don't know it just felt like it was missing something and I don't really like that because while the last 2 movies felt complete and actually did resolve things, this 1 just felt more like that 1 spongebob scene in the lost episode, where patchy just looks at the Tv and says βThat's it?β It feels like uh like a Hollow shell compared to the last ones. That isn't to say it's a BAD movie, it's just not a FULFILLING one, it feels like there's more left, especially with that Shadowy figure we kept seeing talk to general Strickland the entire movie, and we might Never see what that more left was, considering this is the LAST movie. If I had to Rank these films,Β it would be in the most Bland and usual way possible,Β with Venom 1 being in 1st place, Venom 2 being in 2nd place, Venom3 being in 3rd place, all movies are GOOD, it's just that this 1 feels the most Weaker compared to the others; But anyway that's just what I think, what about You, did you enjoy Venom the Last dance, or were you Disappointed ?

A little Luis x F!reader thing I've been working on for the past few days. I enjoy writing the reader meeting a character for the first time, so here is one for Luis. I went for she/her pronouns this time. I'm sorry I didn't go for gender-neutral. I will again next time! <3
No warnings. Fanfic. Not beta-read. Around 900 words.
The first step
Under any other circumstances, Luis loved to attend parties. The wedding he was at right now, however, had killed his joy very early on. Luis barely knew the couple and didnβt understand why theyβd invited him. Politeness, he figured. He used to work with the man, and they had kept in touch after heβd left Umbrella, but to call them friends would be a massive overstatement. Vague acquaintances seemed much more fitting.
Except for this time, anyway.
Initially, Luis had looked forward to the wedding. Not because he cared much about the wedding couple, but because he always wanted to meet new people. This wedding, however, was boring with a capital B. It seemed as if everyone present was in a relationship and didnβt feel like interacting with strangers.
Luis himself had come alone. Heβd tried to get a friend to join him, but nobody had been interested. Luis didnβt have any women in his life that he was romantically involved with, so he hadnβt been able to score a date, either. Didnβt matter much, though, because normally, he was pretty good at keeping himself, and strangers, entertained.
Bored and annoyed, he got up from the table, seemingly invisible to the people around him. Heβd go out for a smoke, have another drink, and maybe then it would finally feel appropriate to leave. He didnβt think heβd ever be home before eleven after a party, but he really wasnβt feeling it this time.
βAi, ai, ai,β he muttered, stepping out into the rain. He was pretty sure the weather forecast had promised clear skies, but apparently theyβd been wrong again. βHow hard can it be to predict the weather?β
βSurprisingly difficult, actually,β came a female voice from behind him. βWant to stay under my umbrella?β
Luis turned around and saw a woman standing there. Relatively young. Nice dress. It was too dark to see the colour of her eyes or hair. She was holding a big umbrella and gestured to him to come over.
βDonβt mind if I do.β Luis flashed her a big smile and stood next to her. βYou mind if I light one up?β He held up his pack of cigarettes.
She shrugged. βNah, go ahead.β
Luis lit his cigarette and placed the pack and the lighter back in his pocket. βWhy are you outside? Itβs a bit cold, no?β
βCold doesnβt bother me much,β she replied. βItβs a bit tooβ¦ crowded inside.β
Luis glanced at her. She had nice features, but he still couldnβt tell what colour her eyes or her hair were. βIs it too crowded, or is it just too boring?β He asked, only half joking.
She laughed and looked around to ensure nobody was close enough to hear her. βIt really is very boring,β she groaned. βI kinda regret coming here. I couldβve stayed home and watched a movie. Wouldβve cost me less money, too.β
βYeahβ¦ I donβt even know why I was invited,β Luis muttered. βThey donβt seem that interested in their guests.β
βMoney, probably. They just want gifts. Isnβt that why people get married in the first place?β
Luis nearly choked on some smoke. βPeople get married for money? Whereβs the romance in that, amiga?β
βRomance is dead,β she stated matter-of-factly, βeverything is just a financial transaction nowadays.β
Wow. Luis wasnβt sure about what to say. How could someone think that way? He wondered if perhaps something had happened in her past, that someone had hurt her badly enough to turn her away from romantic interactions.
It was hard to imagine, and the thought made him feel a bit sad. His first instinct was to see this as a challenge. A challenge to try and conquer her heart. Then again, he also knew very well that that could end badly. He may consider himself quite the ladiesβ man, but he wasnβt in it to hurt people. He didnβt hop from woman to man to woman just to satisfy his needs and move on. Not anymore, anyway. Not like when he was younger.
Luis had gotten so lost in thought, his cigarette started to burn his finger. βAgh!β He threw the thing on the ground and stomped it out. βThat hurt!β
βNot the smartest thing Iβve ever seen,β she joked. βDo you need a plaster?β
Luis smiled. βNah,β he muttered. βI just gotta pay attention.β
He liked hearing her laugh, he thought to himself. He wouldnβt mind hearing it more often.
βYou ehβ¦ you got a name, amiga?β He asked.
βY/N,β she replied.
βGood name. Iβm Luis Serra.β He extended his hand, which she shook. βEncantado.β
βSameβ¦ I think?β She smirked. βHow about we go back inside and get something to drink? Iβm sick of the rain.β
Going inside for a drink. That seemed like a very nice first step for Luis. βYeah, why not. Iβll buy you one.β
βEh?β She frowned at him. βDrinks are free tonight.β
βOh yes, of course.β Luis laughed. βWell, Iβm sure that after tonight youβll want nothing more than for me to take you out and buy you one elsewhere!β
βI doubt it,β she muttered while folding her umbrella. βBut heyβ¦ surprise me, I guess.β
Now that was definitely a challenge, and Luis wasnβt the type to say no to one.

Now that the psychic damage over Paisley's redemption has worn off, here are some hopes/episode ideas I have in regards to the future of her character arc on the show. Assuming that she isn't written off the series (which would be nothing short of a giant middle finger to her voice actress and the fans who waited 3 years for the character to return).
An episode that gives us closure for Rex. Whether or not he'll redeem himself alongside Paisley. I frankly do hope he does because like Paisley, he has had so few appearances in the show. Paisley getting redeemed after only 6 episodes of being a villain is one thing, but it'd be VERY hard to accept Rex becoming a main antagonist after serving as an underling [maybe they could make it work but that feels like a stretch] Plus they have the healthiest relationship among all of the villains on the show, so I don't like the idea that these two would wind up fighting each other in the future.
An episode akin to "Adapto the Coyote" where Paisley has her own subplot learning about the animals around her through misadventures. Maybe she's trying to build an eco-friendly environment but the animals keep getting in her way, so she tries to find an ethical loophole only to find out that the animals are the key.
On that note, I think Pave Nature Incorporated being kept in business but having their goals change would be an easy loophole. Construction, but in ways that leave animals and their habitats out of harm's way, or better yet, put them under protection. It would be a natural change for the character without doing a complete 180 of everything established with them [which can ruin a good redemption/development story]
Post-redemption Paisley meeting and facing off against the other villains. Again, this is something that the special kinda left on a thread that I think would be interesting to follow up on. Despite having minimal appearances in the show, Paisley and Rex have established themselves to be allies to Zach, Donita, and Gourmand. So this would be a game-changer to hear that she's with the Wild Kratts. Would the villains attempt to go after her? Would they try to use her to get to the Kratts? Zach's a specialized hacker, maybe he could intercept Paisley's tech to use it against her and make her look bad in front of the crew. Really interesting shit there!
And while we're still on that, a 1v1 interaction between Paisley and Donita. Paisley's been on the show for 8 years and a member of the villain team for 6 years and the 2 female villains on said team [as far as I recall] rarely exchange that much dialogue. It's already enough that we didn't have them team-up, but them being on opposing sides opens other opportunities. They could face off or be mirrors to each other, one could try and convince the other to join their side with no avail.
Her interacting with the other Wild Kratts Kids. As far as I'm aware, she's the only villain not to, which, whilst a testament to how badly unterutilized she is, could be interesting. Do the WK kids know about her if they've never reported her? Are they as easily willing to buy her overhaul as the rest of the crew is? Are the kids and Paisley willing to learn from each other voer their stance about nature? Interesting stuff!
I'm probably aiming too high when it comes to expectations but they backed themselves into a corner here with no way out, I'd really love to see how they handle this.
#wild kratts#pbs kids#kratt brothers#martin kratt#chris kratt#pbs kids go#2d kratt brothers#2d martin kratt#2d chris kratt#paisley paver#Martin said that the S7 special would change her arc for the rest of the show#So I have no reason to believe that this'll be the last time we see her#and in that case I hope that they do touch more upon it to gradually get her character and the audience adjusted to this new change#instead of suddenly snapshotting it as the status quo#I will be disappointed if a future episode just up and makes her a permanent member of the team#or worse they just give her a Creature Power Suit because that would diminsh her character greatly and have her blend in too much#but again all of this is expectation/speculation. Let's see what next year's episodes have in store!

Hii! I'm not sure if your requests are open or not, forgive me if they're notπ, I just wanted to request angst if it's alright!
So let's say Kazutora and Fem!Reader live together as soon-to-be-married couple. Whereas the reader is very excited and happy to be married, Kazutora is kinda scared? Yes he's happy too but he genuinely doesn't believe that he'd be good husband and is afraid to turn out the way his dad is because yk "abused becomes abuser". And when reader went in his room and hugged him, he just pushed her back because he was having panic attack. I'm so sorry if it's a bit too specific!! Take your time tho!
This request made my day, thank you!!π πAngst is my favorite genre π and Kazutora my fav character, you literally asked for the perfect request!
I love the idea, too! Him pushing her away out of fear breaks my heart π₯²
π₯Abused Becomes Abuser, Right?π₯
Pairing: Kazutora Hanemiya x female Reader
Warnings: mentions of past domestic abuse, trauma, panic attack, crying. This will have a sad ending (hurt/no comfort) but I MIGHT write an alternate happy ending later.
Authors note: as I was writing this, Senju got autocorrected to Sanji π
Authors note 2: I didn't know if you wanted them to have separate rooms or a shared bedroom, so I chose shared, I hope that's alright!!
~
Laughs filled the living room as everybody was having a "meeting" in Draken and Emma's home. Everybody was smiling, excited to be planning another wedding, not even three months after Takemichi and Hinata got married.
As Mikey was happily chattering with Draken about something, Keisuke was grumbling about how all his friends were married, or close to it, while he's still single as hell.
Kazutora's eyes drifted from the two ravenettes, making their way to where you were sitting with Hinata, Emma, Yuzuha, and Senju, planning what colors their dresses should be, as they were your bridesmaids. Your eyes shined with joy, just imaging the day you would be getting married to your fiancee. Usually, Kazutora would have smiled at your eagerness, but he couldn't help but feel.... Scared.
He loved Y/N with all his heart, but the intrusive thoughts always found a way into his thinking process.
What if you hurt her? They do say 'The apple doesn't fall far from the tree'.
You're that man's son, you're just like him.
You'll hurt her just like your father did to your mother.
~
Later that night, as you were making yourself a midnight snack in the kitchen, you noticed that Kazutora had taken a while too long in the bath.
"Maybe he already went to sleep? But...he'd usually come say 'goodnight'. I should go check up on him." Silently, you made your way to the bedroom, but before you could reach for the door handle, you heard sniffles coming from the other side.
'Is he...crying?'
You hesitated at first, not knowing whether you should go in, or leave him alone for the time-being. After a few seconds of silent conflict, you lightly knocked on the door.
No answer.
Reaching for the doorknob and twisting it, you pushed the door open and peeked into the room.
Kazutora was sitting on the edge of your shared bed, and although you couldn't exactly see his face from where you stood, you could tell he was crying.
"Tora...?" Your voice seemed to have no impact on the man, as he was in his own world.
'Is he having a panic attack?' You hadn't seen one in real life before, and you definitely didn't know how to deal with one. You could call a friend, 'but then again, that might make Tora feel worse.'
Taking a few steps forward, you lightly put your hand on Kazutora's shoulder, making him flinch. He looked up at you, tears in his eyes, breathing heavy. Not knowing what to do, you tried to pull the long haired male into a hug, an effort to calm him down.
But, no. That backfired.
Feeling your arms around him only made him feel trapped. He felt helpless. He didn't know why, but it did. And so, he did the only thing that came to mind. He pushed you away.
It was too hard, you only stumbled back a little....but it sure did break your heart.
~
I know this is a bad place to end it, but I don't know how to continue π
Anyways, I'm super sorry for being so late!! I was planning on finishing and posting this on Monday, but things happened! Again, super sorry!
Honestly, this feels all over the place, it's a total mess. I could have done better......(I'm not even going to hope you like it since it's honestly awful)
Kazutora out! π―

Hello! :D
I simply can't stop thinking about Barbatos being insanely attracted and so deeply in love with MC that he don't make the effort to hide it anymore, but the problem is: MC doesn't actually think that he feels that way.
(I'm using female pronouns for better explanation, pardon my english ππ«Ά)
Like, MC lives with many ancient and immortal beings who have lived for many many centuries and she is only a human who lived for a few years. In mc's conception, she doesn't see a reason why any of them would be attracted to mc in any way, so she just lives peacefully with them, not really expecting any romantic approach.
Mc and barbatos have a friendship, and mc is attracted to Barbatos (who isn't really?), but doesn't do anything about it. Kinda like the attraction you feel towards your favorite idol, you don't really make a move, but you wish you could get married.
Barbatos notices and kinda feels the same way, sending discreet signals when they were together. He finds it strange, because he sees her obvious interest in him, but doesn't do anything about it.
As time passes, Barbs feelings grow stronger and he grows frustrated and is determined to show MC his interest, his discreet moves now are obvious (only when they were alone bc its barb, cmon). When mc is talking he is just staring at her with such lovestruck eyes, blinking slowly and repliying to her in a flirty way. Mc only grows more and more flustered, not making any moves still.
It gets worse in a degree that once barbatos corners her against a wall and stares deeply at her soul, saying something bluntly urging her to do something since he knew she wasnt oblivious to the situation. Maybe in a teasing way, maybe serious.
I dont know if my ideas came out clear and I honestly think I'm a little lightheaded bc of anti-allergy meds, but this plot has been haunting my mind and I had to tell someone. Stay safe!! π«Άπ«Άπ«Ά
Hi there, anon! While I'm a little concerned about medications making you lightheaded (like omg please rest and I hope you feel better soon!), I do think I understand what you're trying to say!
Because ahhh Barbatos he's so reserved. When I wrote my long fic, there's kind of a theme where the MC character doesn't believe that Barbatos returns their feelings. It's the cause of much angst and anguish, especially in the later chapters.
I think this is because Barbatos doesn't really express his feelings all that much. He's always calm and collected. He doesn't really get worked up about much of anything. Even when he's mad, it's like hidden behind a smile. The only time we really see him get truly angry is with Solomon in Nightbringer. (I mean there may have been other times but that's the only time I can remember.)
Anyway, I love the idea that he finally picks up on MC's feelings and realizes he has to start being more expressive with his own feelings. I kinda think he might realize that he only has so much time with MC, assuming they're still mortal. Like he's gonna hafta do something because time is short!
I personally am very fond of Barb being a tease, so I like the idea of him kinda teasing MC about it at first. But eventually he's going to get serious. If he thought MC really didn't understand how he feels and wasn't picking up on his teasing and maybe couldn't respond for some reason, he would choose to get serious and direct with them.
So yes, I think this is a delightful scenario and I am always rooting for Barbatos to confess his true love to MC lol!

I've been listening to all the audio record for the r6s operators in arknights and I had a few thoughts
I think I've realised in all my hours playing frost I never really listened to her voice. Its actually really nice.
I always was like 'haha kapkan frost friends cause they both trap operators' but her voice lines actually really back that theory up
Frost calls the Doctor sir which is big sad as a female play BUT it's also really funny if I think about it that she just asumes my Doctor is male and shes too embarrassed to correct Frost
Intrestingly enough they translated all of Tachankas Russian lines to English in the subtitles but they didn't with Fuze (ΠΌΠ°Π»ΡΡ was translated) (same goes for the rest of operators I'm just using them as an example)
I did very much short circut when Tachanka said ΠΌΠ°Π»ΡΡ ngl. covered my face and everything. Vlado Stokanic did a fantastic job
Ash's voice sounds kinda different than in the game. Perhaps its the sound mixing or maybe its just the voice actor but she sounds older. At first whenever I borrowed Ash I wasn't a fan but its really grown on me.
I straight up just don't understand what this Ash voice line means
Especially after reading through her event, I think Ash has grown a lot as a character in Terra.
I think all the second crossover voice acting sounds exactly the same as the game (r6s), it could be just because of the voice actors age or perhaps the mixing, it could also be because their tone of voice is pretty much the same as when they say the same lines in r6s. Eg Ela's depart line sounds exactly (it is rerecorded tho) how it does in the game. "No time to waste". The second crossover operators shout some of their lines where the first crossover operators say all of them
I love Blitz I do but his voice lines have made me realise if I was paired with him in combat I would slap the shit out of him. Hes such a nerd, I understand why Ash is so done with him
This Iana line gets so me so hard because its like, is she talking about the fact shes human in Terra or is this a reference to her albinism and her compromised retina? My poor baby I love her
That all being said I still think they all did a fantastic job and for a still anime picture I think they have made the characters feel so alive, even with just a still anime picture. Then again the r6s cross over kinda exspanded the charactisation of most of these operators more than ubisoft has in the last uh 5 odd years.
#I only have the rerun ops at low trust so theres a few lines im missing#Im excited to get their trust up and look at the operator records too#the second cross over ones were REALLY GOOD but then again I do think the second cross over event overall was just plain better#but then again thats also because there was just more story cause storys in general are way longer#I think it also had a different tone so its a bit harder to comapare#like Ash's squad had such a rough time where as Ela's squad had support far earlier#arknights#r6s#rainbow six siege
