So, context; this is my OC, Izumi and she likes to pester Kakuzu by being nice to him😃More specifically, by braiding his hair because he doesn't take care of it himself. The first time she sees him with his cowl off she is absolutely appalled by the state of his hair, and knows in heart she must take a comb to it if it's the last thing she does 😤

Naturally, Kakuzu pretends he wants nothing to do with this, but does nothing to actually stop it. At this point, he's taken up the mantle of begrudging father figure for her, so yeah, he has a hard time saying no and enforcing it, especially when he does actually enjoy it himself. Secretly he prefers his hair in this braid for both functional and sentimental reasons 🥰

(They are featured from time to time in the fic Oh Honey, There Goes Your Bastard, but fair warning it's basically a big dumb soap opera with a lot of romance and drama)

#ask me #so Mel is in the unenviable position of being a very strong character whose rights I support and whose wrongs I also fully support #BUT the way she's treated broadly in the fandom is so pervasive and so consistent and so frustrating to me that #I am in full -must protect my blorbo- mode with her at all times #-Mel's story is over so the only thing left for her to do is die-#-if Mel dies then J can get together with V and they will appreciate her for her sacrifice bc she died a hero who rejected Ambessa-#enough! enough I say!#what about proving to ambessa that she can take the throne for herself? what about the angst of defying her mother and her home country #and opposing those in Piltover who DO want war and want to raze the undercity #what about the magic that she's heavily foreshadowed to have and how it's different from hextech #and how it directly opposes but also parallels what is happening to Viktor #what about her -friends- abroad and the plot Mel was cooking through all of season 1 that has not been revealed yet #there's so much potential for her to have to confront the fact that J was slowly becoming a monster through season 1 #and that she can't ignore the undercity forever #also what if whoever Ambessa says killed her brother comes after Mel too!#it is very frustrating to see Mel get dismissed as dead or evil or irredeemable or whatever when she is consistently #the most interesting person in the room in every single scene she's in and the character who shows the most conviction and change #so yeah i will take a bullet for her she is my blorbo I will despise any character who hurts her #and I would cradle her in my arms if she gave me a chance - which she would never! - but a girl can dream #however I also enjoy leaning into the idea that Mel is perceived as being a devil from the outside - Mel leans into it too when it serves #but it's in direct opposition to her ironclad values and the personality that she keeps hidden a layer down #I genuinely think that Mel will have a happy ending - or at least as happy an ending that an Arcane character can get lol #like I fully believe she will take the throne (Piltover) in the end but I can only guess at this point what that will cost her #I love putting Mel in situations but mainly to play with both how creative she can get and also how fucking far she will go to win #which is ANOTHER thing we know is probably true about Mel but has not been put on display yet #also Mel has already done a great job at separating what she wants for herself as a person from just being Ambessa's daughter #but Mel still deserves to get plenty of great therapy for that situation because OH GOD THAT CHILDHOOD FLASHBACK #also Kino is dead? maybe dead?? at least Mel fully believes he's dead so she needs therapy and hugs for that too #I am super normal about her can you tell

such a cursed and chaotic work memory just popped into my head lmaoooo ok so at my old job i had to take over as the graphic designer of my team with no raise because they laid of the main designer during a pandemic budget cut fiasco. im sure it's just a coincidence that she was the one who launched an hr investigation into my manager's sexism but anyway. i was put in charge of the highly important task of selecting and editing the banner image for a fuckin corporate new years email or something whatever doesn't matter anyway so my manager unprompted sends me this deranged email where he's downloaded a super generic watermarked stock photo of a grandpa and his granddaughter and it said something like:

yesterday i watched intruder 1989 btw funniest shit i ever seen

#oh nay #i've picked back up on my slasher watching recently a few weeks ago i watched #the final girls 2015 (cried the WHOLE time then immediately got my period) the burning 1981 (i love a friday ripoff) and stage fright #aka deliria 1987 (italian + sososo pretty)#INTRUDER THO i was so immediately charmed by the setting (stuck in a little grocery store overnight.... i love when it's cramped up #in a little space esp when it's familiar and comforting)#it felt like. it was ok but so clearly could have been better it's painful. but i enjoyed it a lot #the camerawork and framing and stuff was SOOO creative and fun #and the kills were fun fun fun fun the sfx were slay i think there might have been like 3 different fake heads that got cut in half #and the likes #i ALWAYS love that so much #was a bit slow but it was fine it had a bit of a. my bloody valentine vibe to it. the bloodbags were cute i cared them enough #the killer felt a bit..... eh......... but it was done well enough i did Not suspect a thing but also i don't even try to figure stuff out #so who knows #i have DECIDED that evil dead & child's play WILL be watched closer to halloween this year so there's that but i've gathered a huge fuckin #list of Other Stuff until then #man I WATCHED TOURIST TRAP 1979 IT WAS SO INSANE????????
