There’s a difference between being content and comfortable. God never said we’d be comfortable. Why else would he send the Holy Spirit to be our comforter? But we CAN be content in every situation. - Being content will give you peace and joy in every situation. This is what builds character & perseverance. We can’t control every circumstance, but we can control our attitude in those circumstances. - What does being content even mean? It’s being in a state of peaceful happiness. Being satisfied with the moment. Notice these are states of being, not doing. You may not like your circumstances, but the right attitude going forward will assure that when you get out of those circumstances, you’re going in the right direction. - Take your mind and thoughts captive. If it’s not a thought in line with who you are or where you’re going, CHANGE YOUR MIND! IMMEDIATELY! Think on your life vision and aim your thoughts in that direction. It’s been said that if you can change your mind, you can change your life. I agree with this because I’ve lived it. It looks like I’m thinking because I am. Your mind is the area of your being that has the biggest effect on your life. As a Born Again Believer in Jesus, it’s not my Spirit that needs renewing, it’s my mind. (Romans 12:2) So what I think on is what I will become. The Bible says I have the “Mind of Christ”. (1 Corinthians 2:16) It also says we have to put off the “Old Man”, and put on the “New Man”, which is renewed in the knowledge after the image of Him that created him (Colossians 3:9-10) So there’s a New Creation in us if we Choose to Live as that New Creation. But how? Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. (James 4:8) Reach out to Him, and He will be there. Renew your mind to His Word and His Character and you WILL be Changed. Successful Leg Day! I don’t lift as heavy as I used to. But I also don’t miss either, so I’m consistent. That’s 🔑. - I don’t squat every week. I don’t deadlift every week. But today I did both. Did some super deep Hack Squats and they were intense. - I brought my new workout partner with me and the guy behind the desk gave him a hard time. Frankly he was rude to him. But instead of going off on him, we prayed for him. You never know what someone is going through. When I was a Professional Wrestler it was easy to get in front of the camera and play a character, especially in top form. I could get outside of my true self and present myself as whoever I wanted to be. An ideal. After I stepping away from the industry, no longer playing a character and running around in spandex, getting in front of the camera makes me feel so vulnerable. Like now people can see the REAL me and I’m not going to be good enough if I’m not my ideal. After a few years tho, I’ve learned to love my true self and my true identity. Now I know that it’s ok to not be perfect or ideal. That it’s ok to not be “ok”.
