listen I know the common thing with Givenson is that they like it rough & fast and that's valid but I personally love the idea that Tim actually likes it best when it's slow & sweet but doesn't ever know how to ask for it because that takes a certain kind of vulnerability that life has taught him to protect at all costs and then Raylan comes in with his swagger and his anger and his hard edges and he shouldn't be capable of being so gentle and sweet but he is and he takes his time with Tim, treats him like he's something precious, like he's worth that kind of care and how could anyone have ever touched him any other way and it cracks something open in Tim, something warm and affectionate and absolutely terrifying and he wants to be annoyed about it wants to be mad but then Raylan slides a cup of coffee into his hands, made up just the way he likes, in the morning, sets whatever book Tim is currently reading on the table and kisses his forehead before settling on his couch with a baseball game on in the background and Tim's cat on his lap and Tim thinks yeah alright, thinks maybe he can, thinks maybe he'll be okay after all.

Things I make for myself when insomnia kicks in

Just a chart about what I wanna change up and keep consistent in my art - I mainly wanna draw Raph with a tail because he deserves one, it fits too well. Donnie gets a long tail too because I didn’t realize how dino-like he looks until I gave him one, and now it’s a must for me haha.

Does anybody else really want to know what Kurumada’s story is?

He says what was he wants, he says it with impunity, and he doesn’t hold back.  Considering he’s employed to Endeavor, you’d think this was a fireable offense.  He’s clearly a competent driver, especially in emergency situations, so that may be the only reason he still has the job.

So I want to see the spin-off short where Endeavor wanted to fire him and then one of the sidekicks says,  “You want to fire the only efficient driver who didn’t quit after two weeks?”

Good help is hard to find, especially when you’re an asshole.

LMK!Monkey Smiling Headcanons

i have so much to update on my blogs 😔 in the meantime have monkey headcanons

Wukong no longer sees smiling as aggressive due to prolonged contact with humans. As a result, neither does most of Flower Fruit Mountain/Huaguoshan. He and most of the mountain only consider it aggressive depending on the context (ex. some of the older monkeys may "smile" at each other aggressively).

I think Wukong actually really likes making his human/non-monkey partner smile/laugh because he knows it's different for humans (granted, he does understand smiling can be complicated).

Macaque, however, DOES consider it aggressive. I heavily headcanon him as autistic so I am thinking he never understood when the mountain starting leaning into more human customs (this is a form of him not understanding social cues in my head).

This doesn't really change if Macaque has a human/non-monkey spouse. In the beginning of the relationship it can start a lot of fights if you smile in his direction 💀 eventually he WILL learn that he doesn't immediately have to go into fight mode, but he'll also super appreciate if you find other methods to express happiness w him :3

I also think he takes great care to never snarl/smile/show his fangs at his partner. Ever. The only exception might be if you're curious and ask to see them, but even then it can make him pretty uneasy. He'll probably do some sort of placating/submissive gesture during to further reassure he's not being aggressive.

Macaque IS an asshole, which is part of why he gets irked over smiling/bared teeth, but I think most of the time it has more to do with his trauma and his struggle to distinguish between real threats and miscommunications. He'll get there.

because of their differing opinions, MK is confused on how to act once he gets his monkey form. Macaque trains him more "traditionally" (with an emphasis on grooming, hierarchy, respect, etc.) while Wukong is more "modern" and easy-going. This also means Wukong and Macaque have gotten into some gnarly fights because Macaque has assumed MK was trying to be threatening/aggressive.

After this, MK picks up smiling when nervous/covering his mouth when smiling.

thinking about emmrich saying "fuck" today. so, i like to think that emmrich is a man who does not swear. it's just not his cup of tea. as any good scholar knows though, there's a time and place to say "fuck," and when he does? my god. like. this man knows the best time to use it--to let something vulgar slip from his lips, especially when rook cannot do anything about it. emmrich knowing that rook is already going to be pent up from a day running around the entire goddamn earth whispering, "i cannot wait for you to fuck me when you return," and rook just has to live with that! has to have the sound of emmrich saying something like that for however long the mission takes.

and the implications of using that word versus any other in his repertoire. "fuck" implies dirty and nasty and rough. it's casual to a fault. it's grabbing hand and gnashing teeth and barely contained passion. emmrich swearing is like...him letting loose to the like umpteenth degree. it's letting himself feel his basest desires. young men fuck. and gods, do you bring out the young man in him.

ok so my "what if Tim's mom was a Horse Girl ™️" hc has evolved & now she's possibly an equine therapist (yes it's whole journey & no I will not explain myself) so now I'm like does Tim have a canon opinion on horses? lmao bc listen I now decided that he has a way with horses bc of his mom and never really comes up until they're working a case or something & Tim totally calms down a horse & like bonds with it & Raylan tries really hard not to swoon but Tim being all soft & gentle with a scared horse or whatever just does something to his heart okay

Once again thinking about Jedi and Children - I don't think it would be unrealistic for babies being raised by trained force sensitives to cry WAY less than other kids. After all, crying is just asking for help, really. No need if your caretaker can pretty much peer into your mind to see exactly what you need. Unless the thing that's wrong is force bullshit the person can't control, in which case the baby basically has force induced colic, good luck.

For similar reasons, I bet one of the most common 'issues' in children given to the jedi creche early (before toddler age) is delayed speech development. They can communicate with their peers and caretakers just fine using space magic. Why bother with *scoff* words?

I need to you guys to stay with me and imagine Adrien Agreste experimenting with what to wear after he quits modeling but being hopelessly lost on where to start so, after much consideration, he gets the brilliant idea to mimic his friends clothing aesthetics.

So naturally one week he’s wearing a backwards cap and baggy jeans in an attempt to mimic Nino who is ecstatic and another he’s wearing a lot of flannel which makes Alya roll her eyes and another him and Marinette are practically twins much to his delight until she gently tells him he only likes it because they are matching and he should probably keep looking until he finds something that is his own.

But instead he just keeps on mimicking classmate after classmate until he runs through them all and he starts talking to Kagami who’s figuring things out herself and doesn’t provide much to go off of and he settles on wearing suits until someone mistakes him for Felix.

So then he decides to move on from people and starts to look on Pinterest at Marinette’s suggestion and he copies the outfits down to a science but why does everything STILL feel not right? He decides it’s the website so he moves on and copies what he sees in magazines and in ads and it feels a little better but he also feels a little sick when he does it and why isn’t anything right and he’s twisting the ring on his finger so much it’s leaving a mark and hes pacing around the mansion and it has so many portraits and his dad is in all of them and why is he suddenly getting the feeling nothing he puts on will ever be right and why in the world does this stupid ring feel so heavy.

And so after a month of experimenting, he gets up in the morning one day and decides to try on the outfit he always used to wear and attempts to do his grown out hair the old way and looks in the mirror and stares at himself for a while. He slips on his sneakers and then the door rings and he heads downstairs to meet Marinette for school. As they’re walking he is still trying to decipher what he feels and he suddenly realizes that his dad would like this outfit a lot. He smiles to himself and tells Marinette and she smiles weakly and says she supposes he would and then avoids his eyes.

Adrien feels that familiar twist in his stomach that tells him something isn’t right, but when he tries to reflect on why that would be he’s only met with the same fuzzy memories of his father that he can’t quite sort out. He wonders if that’s where the unease comes from but then he shakes his head because those memories must be good because his father died a hero.

And so he wears the same outfit he always wore, ignoring the fact it feels a little too tight on him and that it makes his new ring feel heavier than ever.

Combining the boys’ abilities (and I mean actual combining not just using them at the same time) because I was thinking about it and wow they’re kinda cracked actually-

Raph & Mikey: infinite clones (aka unbeatable) + strength completely unparalleled + infinite cloned chains + the clones are very fast and can fly + potentially reverse any damage on main shield clones or even damage in general

Mikey & Donnie: constructs that also can last much longer than usual possibly forever + potential future vision + every single cable or wire or anything of that sort has the potential to be taken over akin to Mikey’s chains + full telekinesis

Donnie & Leo: pinpoint portal/teleportation themselves or constructs just by knowing where to aim (aka instadeath for any enemy if used right) + telepathy

Leo & Raph: teleporting clones who can grow or shrink at will (which can also be instadeath like above if used right) + said clones can also act as homing spots to switch places with + potentially swap damage taken to clones

Raph & Donnie: they literally can make Voltron, but more than one + basically impossible to destroy shields + constructs can also be cloned

Mikey & Leo: freezing time and being able to move during it + heat death of the universe + “oops hey it’s other alternate iterations of us???” + this is a time and space team up you’re not winning this-

Basically any combo is an instant “you win.” I wanna go further into these combos later and maybe even add or subtract as I think more on it because there’s so many I left out and I can always extrapolate on and explain these ones more, but this was fun and these boys have terrifying powers even without combining them all together.

Seriously, should each of them train these abilities to the best they can be, there is no beating them even if they’re alone.

Thoughts on Thistle's relationship with Eodio (headcanon+analysis)

It's very easy to assume Thistle never got along with Eodio, since the most prominent interaction between them we see is their confrontation, and i do see that sentiment a lot. But I think it's quite underlooked just how present Thistle was in his life.

I think it's safe to say Thistle did have a good relationship with Eodio at some point, we see them sitting merrily at the dinner table, Eodio having a jovial conversation with his father, Thistle smiling fondly at him. And when Eodio held Yaad for the first time, Thistle stood closer to him than even his own wife. i don't think Thistle was totally distant just yet.

My personal headcanon is that for a long time, Thistle genuinely loved and cared about Eodio, just as much as his parents! Practically viewed him as his own child, even. Which made it so frustrating for him to have so much pressure put on him, being treated like he's not doing enough, when he's doing everything he possibly can. He wants Eodio to recover just as much as Delgal, he really does!

But it's just so hard, and he feels like they don't understand just how painful it is for him to do everything in his power to help and never succeed, how terrible it feels watching Eodio be in so much pain and not being able to do anything about it, all while Delgal is being so short with him, expecting more than Thistle can provide because he's stressed. they're all stressed. Eodio is dying and the kingdom is under attack and he's trying he's trying he's trying so hard but nothing is working.

Which makes it even more hurtful to him to watch Eodio grow up and take his recovery for granted. To be ungrateful, when Thistle suffered and struggled so much to keep him alive.

It's not so bad when he's young, of course, a child isn't going to be the best at expressing gratitude. But when Eodio is an adult and still doesn't seem to realize just how much Thistle has done for him, that (in Thistle's mind) he owes him his life, it sets him off. The boy who he loved so much and did everything in his power to save is now yelling in his face, vilifying him, spitting on everything he's done for him...

...And Thistle is not going to tolerate it.

It's a moment of weakness. And at first, he's really only intending for it to be temporary. In his eyes, Eodio is being a spoiled brat, and he's just putting him in time-out. Giving him some time to cool down and think about what he's done, that's all.

...But he never does bring him back. Maybe he just forgot, maybe he decided it wasn't safe, we'll never really know. It's a shame they could never mend it.

I think the animosity Eodio had toward Thistle grew fairly late in his life, some time after Yaad was born. He doesn't seem the type to seethe for years upon years without speaking up.

All that said... I really do wish we saw more of their interactions before their confrontation, how Thistle felt about him... I think people would appreciate Eodio much more if we knew... well, anything about him, really! Bit of a shame we don't.
