Catra being anxious and having panic attacks over the bad things she did is actually counter productive to any hypothetical scenario where she is self reflecting and/or receiving constructive criticism.

Her potentially having crippling anxiety over being an asshole in the past PREVENTS and/or DELAYS any changes she might potentially make.

Making this character spiral over moral dilemmas does not inherently mean she’s actively working to change her ways. Her being afraid of facing her badness does not make her good; it simply means she has anxieties toward constructive criticism/dialogue.

just woke up from a dream in which there was a new production of phantom of the opera in new york that assad zaman was in and i went to see it but forgot he was in it so that was a really nice surprise. the production was kind of ass but the costumes slayed and served cunt etc. there was also audience participation in the second act which meant that i got to hold hands with assad for a little while. oh also after the show claire danes who i guess played christine gave me a really big hug and like whispered encouraging words into my ear. the dream ended when i was working on a tumblr post about the experience where in the tags i wrote #ALWAYS ENGAGE IN AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION KIDS

Hey yall!!! I’m so glad you guys are enjoying this so far!!!

I’ve got a question for everyone, so please lemme know what you think!

The hospital arc is coming to an end soon and Jan is prepared to break out of her room.

There’s gonna be some things happening fast between her last entry and her next one, but I also want to keep you guys in the loop with what’s happening in between. So should I write a more formal scene depicting the events? Or have her recount what happened after the fact in the same journal-entry-like style I’ve been using? And if i wrote the scene would you prefer it to be third or first person?

Context to why she writes in a journal entry style (you are a part of the lore <3 as a treat).

Also! Even in this in between transition please continue to send some asks. I made a new featured tag for things that aren’t really related to the plot called ‘undefined arc’ where she will still react with the current knowledge and development she has, even when plot wise she isn’t able to write to you.

hi! besides O'Rahilly, do you have any favourite translations of The Táin? I've been meaning to get a physical copy to read but I've heard that English-language scholarship on Irish texts can get dubious

o'rahilly is the academic translation (there have been none more recent / there aren't any better ones from that pov)

carson and kinsella are both fine for general audiences. i flip flop between which of them i prefer personally but i do like that carson makes the verse parts rhyme, i feel it gives a liveliness to the whole thing and keeps the pace up when verse can sometimes slow things down
