It is a question that has been discussed many times before. No matter any of the discussions, because never has there been an answer. Now for the first time is it presented here: the final answer on who we should call the heir of Barks:

As it was to maybe be expected, it was one of the most popular of them all, the Dutch artist and writer Daan Jippes. Jippes is especially known amongst Barksists as having redrawn the Junior Woodchucks stories that Barks wrote during his time at Western Publishing, but were then drawn by other artists who were usually not as great as him.

We will from now on whenever Duck comics are mentioned, talk like this: “Yeah, yeah, especially the comics from Carl Barks and Daan Jippes.” “Barks and Jippes were always the best ones.” “Like Barks started it all, but Jippes is who gave it a new dimension” “My name is Jason Aaron, and I love the comics from the legendary comics artist Daan Jippes, who followed in the footsteps of Carl Barks”
