I sit next to Tifa and hold her hand as we watch Aerith perform her song using the VR, both Tiffa and I teary eyed after watching jessies performance for the first time. As I listen to to her voice i think back to my time with jessie, wedge, and Biggs.

"Till the day that we meet again, Where or when I wish i could say but believe, know that you'll find me."

I remember how I first met Biggs back in sector 5 in the abandon church, I waited for Aerith as small child came in and kept me company till he came in I remember the relief that washed over his face when he saw the child safe. He even walked me to my home in sector 7 since he was headed in that direction, there was never a moment he wasn't a gentlemen. Already being acquainted with Tifa just made us closer.

Seventh heaven two months before the pillar fell

"You gonna make or are you gonna continue to make us all suffer through your puppy love crush on Biggs?" Jessie teases me as she watches me watch biggs I sigh at her teasing jokes knowing she means well "jess its not that simple I don't wanna ruin our friendship" I say quietly right as Biggs and wedge walk towards us. Oh how i wish i just told him the truth but how could I know what would happen.

Seventh Heaven one month before the pillar fell

Wedge had locked Biggs and I in the Seventh Heaven storage closet, Biggs stood over me trying to give me space but given the lack of room in the closet, close proximity was inevitable. "uh sorry I can't really move any further" biggs says as he places his hands against the door my back was to "no its fine I understand" i say as I avoid making eye contact. It had been 10 minutes since wedge left us in this awkward state "Hey I was wonderi-" right before Biggs could finish Wedge pushed the door open sending biggs and I forward falling to the ground when i open my eyes i see biggs face inches from my own and myself on top of biggs my face immediately flushing before I can say anything i here the click of a camera and I turn to see Jessie holding a camera "JESSIE!" both Biggs and I yelled. I still can't believe Jessie got Wedge in on her plan.

Biggs apartment one week before the pillar fell

After a rough run with some fiends I sit on Biggs bathroom counter as he cleans some scraps on my knees when he gets to a deep gash on my thigh he tried to get a shard of glass causing me to yelp in pain. "hold on a little longer pretty girl" Biggs says focused on the gash "pretty gir- FUCK BIGGS!" I try to question him but he pours a little alcohol on the wound causing me bite my lip hard as he finishes patching me up he looks at my now bleeding lip like he wanted to say something but stops himself. Why didn't I say something?

Topside two days before the plate fell

Jessie handed us parachutes one for cloud and wedge to share and one for Biggs and I to share saying that she feared I'd get lost and that Biggs would watch out for me, maybe this was her way of trying to make up for that awkward dinner with her mother and having Biggs act like her boyfriend. After we jumped down I can't help but admire the beautiful view "Its gorgeous" I quietly say and I hear Biggs agree not knowing we were talking about different views. After we finally land it was just our luck we were tangled in the parachute after a few minutes of struggling we lay there laughing at our predicament it was like an unspoken agreement to just enjoy the moment. What I would give to relive that night.

Sector 7 right before the plate would fall

It was chaos, Tifa had gone to wall market Cloud was still missing everyone was running all neighborhood watch members and Avalanche were either evacuating people or going to the plate control tower. Biggs sees me and grabs me and pulls me close "evacuate as many people as you can and get away from here." he says as he looks at me before grabbing the back of my neck and pull me into a kiss i immediately kiss back fearing the moment he pulls away. When he pulls away I look at him understanding he didn't think he was coming back to me "promise me you'll make it out safely?" I say to him as he looks at me with sorrow in his eyes but doesn't respond "Biggs please promise me!" I can't help but raise my voice in desperation he closes his eyes before silently nodding "I promise I'll make it back to you always" Biggs ran towards the control tower and I lost a piece of myself in that moment knowing the truth. I didn't see him again till I followed Cloud up the tower I fell to my knees next to him as Cloud left us be, tears welled in my eyes "hey pretty girl don't cry" Biggs says in a hushed tone as he brushes the tears away. "you promised Biggs you can't leave me alone, we can get you out of here please" I say as i place my hand on his he only gives me a sad face and shakes his head before kissing me one last time and he calls to one of the neighborhood watch men telling them to get me to safety I refuse and try to pull away from them as they try to take me away from Biggs. "Im not leaving you alone Biggs! please just a little longer" they comply with my request till they decide we can't stay any longer they forcibly remove me taking me to safety. I should have stayed with him.

"take my hand and believe we can be together evermore."

Once Aerith Finishes her song green mist appears and in the corner of my eyes I swear I see him, I look again and see Biggs standing there smiling at me. "still my pretty girl." as i take my glasses off I smile sadly as tears drip down my face "always and forever your pretty girl"

So Uh yeah my first ever oneshot mind you this is prob badly written because its almost 3 am and my laptop crashed while I was writing it so i got a little lazy about editing

Opera Omnia Burst Themes 1/?

With Opera Omnia shutting down, I decided to make a few posts about one of my favorite parts of the game: The Burst Weapons. Not because they were a powerful, much sought after weapon tier that gave big numbers with massive benefits, but because I have a love for Final Fantasy music, and what BTs I wanted was strongly dependent on what song would play when used.

These posts are meant to be more for the sake of archiving what there had been more than anything else, but at the very least I am going to list a large number of great FF songs.

My Perfect Life - Side Characters

Since I created some back stories for June's besties, I decided to share them. I don't necessarily want to play them - this is June's story - but I wanted to rescue them from the mercy of MCCC. (My settings are for random marriages only as an adult; since they are all getting close I needed to take care of them). Also @lilsimsie created such great back stories for her save file families and I wanted to continue them.

All traits were randomized by the game and only physical editing I did was for hair and outfits - mainly because I'm really terrible at trying to edit their features.

Yamamoto family

June's brother Kyler (Cheerful, Geek, Jealous) entered the Tech Guru career as soon as he entered adulthood. He long harbored a crush on Abbey Kaye (Cheerful, Good, Cat Lover) for years before June set them up and they soon married. Abbey entered the education career as a private tutor and hopes to have a big happy family herself.

While Nika tragically passed away before the birth of her first grandchild, Donnie was around to greet Arielle (Angelic). Kato the dog is still around, and they added Moto the cat to the family as well.

Carly Prego

.After a fight with her traditional family over her sexuality, Carly Prego (Childish, Cheerful, Geek) ran off with her girlfriend to live down the street from June in Strangerville. Kathryn (Self-Assured, Bro, Music Lover) is a budding rock star, while Carly works in retail. They live in Slip 814 in Strangerville's trailer park; they don't have much, but they have each other - and their cats Jake and Richie.

Evie Delgato

Evie (Green Fiend, Bookworm, Freegan) met Jesse Sousa (Dog Lover, Adventurous Cheerful) when walking her family dog Blue in her hometown of Brindleton Bay. They had a whirlwind romance and she soon moved to live with him at his Strangerville Overlook home, where they plan raise cocker spaniels. Right now they dote on Bandit and Dakota, although Evie is currently pregnant with twin boys. Evie is currently in the writing career while Jesse is in the military career.

(Evie is from the famous Delgato family; Jesse is a randomly generated Sim.)

Angelina Rivers and Keylon Lane

June's college roommate Keylon (Outgoing, Ambitious, Perfectionist) joined her friendship circle and quickly became BFF with Angelina (Hot-Headed, Self Absorbed, Vegetarian). After Keylon graduated with a degree in drama, he immediately moved to Del Sol Valley where he met & fell in love with Ali Hadid (Good, Gloomy, Insider), a chef at a local restaurant. Coming from the Rivers Crime Family, who ran San Myshuno's criminal empire, Angelina was already infamous and joined the Style Influencer career, where she delights the world with her Trend Setting ideas. She and her boyfriend Jasper (Romantic, Creative, Kleptomaniac) moved in with Keylon and his husband - hopefully not bringing the criminal element to their happy home. However Jasper is a petty thief for the Angelina's Family, so they may be on thin ice.

(Angelina is from a lilsimsie's created family; Keylon & Jasper were both randomly pulled from gallery downloaded families in my library; Ali was randomly generated by the game.)

Izumi Abe

Isumi (Ambitious, Glutton, Green Fiend) was June's first college roommate and they developed a strong friendship while navigating Uni. After double majoring in History and Economics, Isumi wanted to make the world a better place so joined the political career and is currently a Representative for Speak for the Trees. She lives in the Culpepper Apartments in San Myshuno's Spice district and while work has left her little time for a social life, she tries to meet up with her friends at least once a week.

(Izumi Abe was randomly generated by the game. I'll see who MCCC decides to randomly marry her to once she's an adult.)

I WATCHED GOOD OMENS IN FRENCH SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO

and it wasn’t that bad. Here are my thoughts, barely edited as I wrote most of them while watching the show.

EP 1

OK i like god’s voice so far

l’apocalypse c’est pour aujourd’hui juste après le goûter : it could be translated as « apocalypse is scheduled for today right after tea time » except that « goûter » is not quite tea time but rather the little sugary snack kids take when they come back from school and that most adults drop out of (i haven’t and i’m sure az hasn’t either). thanks aziraphale for having exclusively food related notion of the time because tbh same

ligur has no right to be this sexy between ariyon bakare and his french voice actor that’s just not allowed

gender neutral doesn’t ‘quite’ exist in french but pollution has been assigned a female voice actress and masculine pronouns (i’m saying it doesn’t quite exist because officially we have no gender neutral, but it’s a serious wip among lgbt+ circles to the point where it’s started being used in a few medias)

hastur « en attendant qu’un plombier vienne » / « while waiting for a plumber to come » does hell have a special plumber unit or do demons have to call on human plumbers for their pipes damages ? Dang hastur having to call a human plumber for hell’s plumbery is another damn good writing prompt for a crack fic

EP 5 

to get a wiggle on has become « il faut qu’on se remue les fesses », literally « we need to shake our butts » like, yes, se remuer les fesses is a common expression to say « we need to act in order to get things done » but it really casts the image of people shaking their booty to some music and obviously crowley thinks the same Weirdly enough I have almost nothing to say for that episode. Sorry. But we’ve discovered most voice actors and actresses so far and no bit of dialogue really struck me as worth discussing or pointing fingers to mock it.

EP 6 

« on va BROUTER quelques derrières » - « we’re gonna lick some butts » OK THIS IS UNQUESTIONNABLY FAR SUPERIOR IN FRENCH THAN IN ENGLISH you thought LICKING butts was good ??? you really thought that ???? AZIRAPHALE HERE SUGGESTS TO GRAZE BUTTS. TO NIBBLE THEM. TO EAT THEM. TO. MUNCH. ON. THOSE. BUTTS!!!! not just licking, guys. This is as serious step beyond licking. (oh yeah he should have said « botter » instead of brouter btw, which is really just kicking, fyi)

« moi je crois en la paix, pétasse ! » wow, language, pepper (fyi i think « pétasse » is far far worse than « bitch » even if it means roughly the same, pétasse is almost never used while bitch is rather common, so it’s a swear word +++)

I can confirm that Crowley offers Aziraphale to not just stay at his place, but to move in with him. « tu peux t’installer chez moi si tu veux ». omg they were roommates.

Bad translation strikes again : i don’t know why, but the french dub doesn’t have the « tickety-boo » / « ça gaze » being referenced as Rampa / Aziraphale is being knocked down, which is… a real mistep. It was narratively significant and I’m quite mad the translators missed it.

The Jesse James explanation from Newt has become very nonsensical, instead of the neat and to the point pun « wherever I go I hold up trafic » we’re getting a circonvoluted « because it’s a crime to mechanic’s diligence ». I’m not judging that one too hard, I have no idea how to make it better, and that’s probably how it was translated in the book as well thirty years ago, but it definitely doesn’t have the same impact. On the other hand, it definitely IS a very bad joke that doesn’t even deserve a chuckle, so Anathema’s embarassement really matches the audience’s (aka mine).

OVERALL :

I wasn’t convinced by Crowley… I mean, Rampa’s voice at first, but as the nerdiness showed up it really grew on me. I still think that french dubs have often problems with some voice inflexions every here and there, and for instance in Rampa’s case it was when he was annoyed or frustrated ( at the Globe when complaining about horses and Shakespeare’s plays that aren’t comedies, and also when discussing Azirphale’s magic tricks, it’s like… there is a step between having the right amount of grumpy complaining and overdoing it that is overlooked. It’s overacted, it should have been a bit quieter imo. I don’t mean to criticize voice actors too hard either but as an audience watching french dubs this is a very recurring problem and it always feels off to me. It’s actually one of the main reasons I avoid french dubs whenever possible.)

I have a hard time judging Aziraphale’s voice dub because it clashes so much with both the idea I had formed with it when I read the book and Sheen’s delivery that I just… kinda filtered it. It was too high pitched for me, and too anxious (though for this last point I must admit it could be funny at times, but I’m not fond of this character portrayal). The rest of the cast was rather good, nothing to complain about. There wasn’t anything stellar either, but everything that needed to be conveyed was and it was professionnal. It was also very homogeneous, no voice really struck me as being way too bad or way too good compared to the others, so it was really consistant.

So I don’t have much to complain about overall despite a few wonky translations here and there, BUT there is one thing I felt very robbed of : Crowley calling Aziraphale « mon ange » happens only once, when giving a lift to Anathema, and I’m almost certain they translated it that way because otherwise the joke about Anathama mistaking them for a couple wouldn’t work. So, they were forced to make it that way. The rest of the time Crowley calls Aziraphale « l’angelot », and despite being literally translated by « little angel », it feels sarcastic more than anything else ( the « L’ » in front of « angelot » is part of the reason why, it creates some distance, the other reason being that this word in itself has a very corny vibe and people being affectionnate to each other wouldn’t use it as a term of endearment). So, that’s a shame.

I like the English dub much much MUCH better than the French, but the french wasn’t nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be. The voice actors and actresses were quite good, the dialogues mostly faithful and endearing despite a few really missed steps. It really had its moments. Props to brouter des derrières, that one was fantastic.

I think Gabe fucking loves the holidays! He likes eggnog and cookies and sweaters and presents! I think he and Reinhardt are the real christmas fiends on the original strike team bc I like the headcanons that Jack celebrates Hanukkah and Ana is Muslim but also probably down to celebrate winter time festivities!

Gabe is one of those people who is only held back from christmas by the existence of halloween (which he also goes ALL IN FOR) and -- when he’s in the US -- thanksgiving. He buys everyone’s presents way in advance, he likes to cook big christmas dinners with a bunch of dishes for everyone, he goes out of his way to make the younger members of the strike team and the new recruits feel included (AKA Jesse McCree’s very first christmas and maybe genji too)

He always saves some presents and things for when its just the two of you. He puts mistletoe up in your room and keeps presents just for you to unwrap (we were always christmas eve present people but i know some ppl are christmas day present ppl)

yessss I can elaborate on the newly talked about Hurricane crew!!

1. Who buys flowers for the other?

Mostly Charlie! She's not as big on flowers but knows Jessica is and will often just see flowers and think 'Jess will like those' and buy them for her.

2. Who makes the other coffee/tea?

Jessica definitely. 10% of the time it's not so much that she makes it intentionally makes it for Charlie but more that Charlie will walk in and steal Jessica's coffee and just chug it like some kind of coffee addicted fiend. It's more funny than anything.

3. Who eats the most candy on Halloween?

Charlie, because Charlie will absentmindedly eat an entire bag of Halloween candy without thinking when they were supposed to be handing it out and Jessica doesn't notice until she needs more to give out and realizes her girlfriend is surrounded by candy wrappers.

4. Who tries new recipes all the time?

Jessica. Charlie encourages it because usually she just finds herself making the same few things but Jessica likes to add her on touch to stuff.

5. Who genuinely likes pineapple on pizza?

Both of them. The real argument is whether pineapple rings or pineapple chunks is better between the two of them, and the Emily family is astounded that somehow, that's the thing the two can't agree on and not that pineapple on pizza is wrong.

6. Who wears hats on special occasions?

Jessica, I mean canonly she showed up in a hat in the first book, so definitely she's the type to wear one. My design's a little more punk rock/poison ivy from Batman aesthetic so they're probably really dope ass hats because you know she'd coordinate based on occasion and the aesthetic of the day.

7. Who likes 90s R&B?

Charlie most definitely. I mean, the Emily twins and Jessica were in their teens starting in '93, so they were at the right age for a ton of peak aesthetic 90s music, but I feel like Charlie latched onto R&B the most.

8. Who likes long walks in the beach?

Both of them again. Not that Colorado provides much opportunities to go to a beach, and the lake outside of the town is the closest they get a good portion of the time, but the few times they've been to a coast, walks in the actual beach are perfect. They like to take night walks in the beach so there's less people and just the endless stars and waves crashing and just hold hands and spend time together in this weird otherworldly night beach land.

9. Who buys wacky picture frames?

You know I feel like Jessica would but gift them to Charlie as a joke. I feel like it started as a one off joke but Charlie pretended to love it so much that Jessica just continues to find wackier frames each birthday and Christmas and every time Charlie gets one it's more absurd than the last. They're not even practical. Jessica. Where are you finding these. WHY DOES THIS ONE HAVE GOOGLY EYES ALL AROUND THE FRAME JESSICA.

10. Who compares themselves to fictional/celebrity couples?

Honestly, it seems like Jessica might? But in a way I also don't see this as something either would seriously do.

11. Who can solve a rubix cube?

Charlie, 100%. She picked up Henry's hobby for fixing things, she loves figuring things out, odds are she was given a rubix cube at some point and figured it out.

12. Who would wear Hawaiian shirts on vacation/during the summer?

Both of them. They match too. Sure Charlie and Jessica have entirely different aesthetics going on, but Charlie's prone to wandering off if she gets curious about something so Jessica decided if they were going to go somewhere on vacation, they were going to match dammit. Charlie suggested Hawaiian shirts as a joke. She didn't expect Jessica to run with it (or to pick the tackiest option she could find).

13. Who wears mismatched socks because they can't keep up with the pairs?

Charlie. Girl's got her mind in a hundred other places, no way she's gonna be concerned about matching socks. Some days it's lucky if her shoes match.

romantic orientation:          i suppose the best fitting definition is panromantic honestly. his romantic love knows pretty much no bounds in terms of who it is exactly, he just has a hard time of really opening up to someone enough for something like that to work. on the surface, however, he has no real preference.

preferred pet names:           jesse doesn’t really expect or desire pet names, but they make him feel nice when he gets them- someone giving him a pet name in and of itself means enough to him, he doesn’t really care as to what the name specifically is. he is an absolute fiend about using them with his partners, even non-romantic relationships. the more common ones are darlin, honey, pumpkin, baby, but he also has ones that are specific to the person that usually have something to do with their names.

favorite canon/fandom ship:         i have a shameless love for mchanzo, i do. it has to be written a very particular way though since the ship is so chock full of racist stereotypes and other nasty things, but i was graced with @uchitoru​ who has blessed me with a mighty fine characterization of hanzo to plot an in-depth relationship for our boys. i really do love them as a pair for so many reasons, i could go on for hours.

favorite crossover ship:           the only in-depth crossover ship i have is with @torturewon​ and her bucky, which is a fun ship because jesse and bucky have such an... interesting dynamic. theyre both extremely rough around the edges so it makes for really interesting romantic interactions considering how they are.

opinion on true love:         honestly i think he would like to. i think a part of him really wants to believe that somewhere out there, there’s one person who will just be... the one. the thing is he just hasn’t ever been able to experience some genuine, pure love without some sort of terrible occurrence in such a long time that he’s pretty much abandoned it.

opinion on love at first sight:         no, not really. he can definitely be attracted to someone at first sight, but not love.

how ‘romantic’ are they?:           when he gets comfortable and settled with someone, he’s a hopeless romantic. jesse is really very affectionate when you get down to his core; he very much wants to show the people he loves how much he loves them. he’s not really a poet- he won’t go on and on about how much he loves someone and all that. for him, it’s really about gestures. simple things like making his partner dinner, tucking the blankets around them if he wakes up first, little goofy gifts that he randomly finds on chance that just remind him of his partner. he’s a sap, it just takes a lot to unlock that part of him.

ideal physical traits:           he doesn’t pay much attention to physical attributes, really. generally he loves the physical traits of people because he associates them with the person.

ideal personality traits:         someone that he can continuously depend on. jesse has abandonment issues- he worries a lot about being left high and dry. he really looks for someone to just have his back, and obviously that’s very mutual. he also really appreciates people with a sense of humor, who are laid-back and easygoing. he also really appreciates when people accept him for what he is, instead of criticizing his past and telling him what he should be.

ideal date:           there’s almost no preference. he really likes being outside, playing music and thinks like that. he would love a simple meal and a movie at home, but he’s also okay with going out on the town for some drinks or what have you. he just doesn’t like to do things that are really fancy or elegant, like a fancy black tie party or something. it makes him feel awkward, it’s not an environment he enjoys. other than that, he’s down for whatever his partner would like.

do they have a type?:        not really? he says that he doesn’t but there may be some subconscious repetitions in the people he’s attracted to, even if he doesn’t realize.

average relationship length:         one night stands and short flings are pretty much his realm of focus. those are rare, only when he’s feeling particularly lonely, but he would not at all be opposed to settling down and committing to someone he really loved.

Intro Blog Post

My idea for this blog is to focus on how people make careers out of posting vlogs on Youtube. I follow a lot of people on Youtube, such as Kristin Johns, David Dobrik, Emma Chamberlain, Liza Koshy, and Jess Conte. These Youtubers started off with posting videos in their hometowns, but once they became popular they moved to Los Angeles to make a career out of it and to get better content. The people I have chosen to follow, post videos that include content like clothing and makeup hauls, what they do in their daily lives, dangerous stunts or pranks, and traveling. I want to look at how these Youtubers use their channels to make money, whether it be by doing brand deals or creating their own merchandise to sell to their viewers. Brands like Audible or Best Fiends will pay Youtubers to talk about their brand on their channel. It is interesting to see how the Youtuber incorporates a brand deal into their video because reading through comments, I have seen people become annoyed with the fact that the Youtuber is using part of their video to promote a brand and get paid for it. Also, it is very common for Youtubers to create merchandise like jackets and shirts to sell viewers and promote their channel. I would also like to look into how much Youtubers get paid by Youtube and how your subscriber count affects that. I will be following the listed people above on Youtube, Instagram, and Twitter.

Each of the accounts I have chosen to follow either post comedy vlogs or lifestyle vlogs. Kristin Johns is a Youtuber who also uses Instagram. Her videos tend to be about her lifestyle. Her content includes makeup and clothing hauls, her passion for taking care of plants, cooking, and she includes her religious beliefs. Because of her growth on Youtube, she started a brand called KristinMade and this is where she sells merchandise and recipes. Jess Conte is another Youtuber who posts similar content to Kristin Johns. She is also a lifestyle vlogger. Her content includes makeup and clothing hauls and religious beliefs as well, but she loves to share her music and daily life too. Jess and her husband sell merchandise from the Youtube channel and their brand is called ConteamClothing. The next three accounts are all comedy accounts. David Dobrik is a vlogger who’s content mostly includes pranks, jokes, dangerous stunts, and also luxury surprises. He has a team that is in almost all of his videos, called the VlogSquad, and they let David use them for his content. This can include shooting people with paintballs, painting murals of his face in bedrooms, and also buying his friends nice cars. Through a third party vendor called FanJoy, David sells shirts and sweatshirts that have his name on it. He promotes this in his videos. Next is Liza Koshy. Her content includes scripted videos about any sort of topic, but she likes to use a lot of puns and jokes. She mostly on records her videos in her house and she is typically the only person in the video. Liza became very big very fast on Youtube and eventually made her own Youtube On Demand series. She promotes her series on her channel in which you have to pay to watch and also has her own website, LizaKoshy.com, where she sells apparel and accessories. Lastly, Emma Chamberlain is a vlogger who has a very dry sense of humor and simply records herself driving and anything she does that day. She has a website as well, where she sells clothing and accessories and promotes them in her videos. Each of these accounts interact with their followers by reading the comments and either directly replying in the comments or including comment responses in their Youtube videos and on Instagram via post or story.

« Hello Shawn, thanks so much again for being here. I’m Jess Cagle and today we’re playing the Cagle Exercise.”

“Hi and um what may the Cagle Exercise be?” Shawn chuckled.

“It’s just a series of questions to know you better, don’t worry. And you can skip one if you want.”

“Oh okay, cause for a moment the title sounded a little like some weird physiotherapy exercise.”

“Hahaha so you’re saying my last name sounds like a physiotherapy method?”

“Oh I’m so sorry did that offend you?”

“Of course not Shawn, ahha you’re so kind. Alright let’s begin shall we? Friends describe me as…”

“Uum goofy.”

“Strangers describe me as…”

“Tall.” Shawn joked.

“Only I know that I am…”

“Uum.” He pondered on that a little. “I’m gonna have to skip on that.” His cheeks pinkened. The word that came to mind was kinky.

The interviewer laughed. “My last meal would be what, and I would eat it with who?”

“Hmm. Wow so so many foods. But I have to say chocolate cake and with my girlfriend Y/N, because she truly makes the best.”

“Ah good choice, good choice. I start everyday by doing…”

“Scrolling through my phone. Not the best thing to do I have to admit, but I do it.”

“Something about me I have learned to love is…”

“Okay, let me think. Probably my indecisiveness.”

“Oh yeah? Interesting.”

“Yeah it’s funny, because I ponder a lot on choices you know and decisions to take. And indecisiveness was always annoying to deal with, but I’ve learned to embrace it because the decisions I make after putting in a lot of thought are most of the time good. Oh but it still annoys me during little daily decisions haha. Like when we go into an ice cream store, I cannot choose a flavour right away and it drives Y/N crazy because she’s an ice cream fiend right? So like she’s already paid and ready to eat, when I’m still sampling three flavours.” Shawn laughed.

“Hahaha so this is random, but whatever I’m curious; what flavour do you usually go for in the end?”

“Maple. Yes go on, let the Canadian jokes roll in.” They both chuckled.

“The teacher that I’m most grateful for is…”

“Miss Parker, she was the one that pushed me into pursuing music.”

“I love the smell of…”

“A lot of things wow. Um let’s see… Rain, grass, apple, rose, this perfume thing Y/N always smells like, and wood.”

“I can talk about blank for hours on end.”

“Easy, music.”

“My recurring nightmare is…”

“Oh god. It’s not really a nightmare, but for some reason I do dream about it sometimes. Tripping on stage. Did it a couple times on tour already hahaha. But a real nightmare for me, would be losing Y/N. Like not her dying or anything, but us not being in contact anymore. The thought of her being alive but not being able to reach her is terrifying to me.”

“Wow. Well, thank you so much Shawn, I’m glad we got to know you better!”

“Thanks so much for having me!”

Shawn shook hands with the interviewer and they both parted ways, Shawn stepping into the green room where you sat waiting.

“Hey.” You looked up at him from her book. “Interview done?”

“Yep.” He grinned, taking his coat. “You hungry? Let’s go get some dinner.”

“Yay food. But wait.” You approached him and pulled him into a close hug, squeezing his hair. “You’re cute.” You said snuggling his nose.

“Thank you?” Shawn said, confused.

“I watched the clip. Don’t ever worry about me leaving and breaking contact with you.”

Shawn smiled.

“I love you.” He hugged you again and you both set off to find a restaurant.

“I just love your natural scent then.” He took your hand.

In addition to reading and punk music, I think Jess was also a pop culture fiend. He seemed to have kind of a morbid fascination with old TV shows and watched them kind of ironically. It was another way he was similar to Lorelai (and, of course, Rory). He probably would have known the stuff Rory learned about Donna Reed being the first female TV producer. I also got the impression that Luke did not have cable and Jess' viewing options were pretty limited.

Jess seems to enjoy (or at least is intrigued by) "vintage" tv shows. Rory interrupts his viewing of "I Dream of Genie" in Season 2 (his sulky "Gee, thanks for spoiling it for me," cracks me up every time, haha) and he seems to know very specific information about the characters and plot of "Leave It To Beaver" in Season 3, so I'd love to know how he would have reacted to "the Donna Reed Show" if he'd been the one watching it with Lorelai and Rory...
