As much as i love the witcher fandom Frankensteining canons together and constructing some very beautiful and heart wrenching ger/askier stuff, i cannot emphasize enough that in the text of the show itself, jaskier is stupid and annoying and nobody likes him. Not that I don't love him, he's half the reason I like the show, but sometimes I get really caught up in fanon and I forget that every time he sings someone complains about it

Doing a bit ocposting, Or more like Beqqoposting since he is my fav but i rarely talk about him in here and bcus i feel like it hehehehe

-Beqqo/Hellire dynamic with Maegor and as a character is inspired by Jaskier-Geralt (The witcher), Endeavor-Hawks (My hero academia), Tea Knight cookie-Eclair cookie (yes, like from cookie run the game of cookies who run), becuase i really LOVE the dynamic of younger man fawning/being the fan and SUPPORTER of an older man and even sometimes taking care of him, but i also know what kind of character Maegor is, so yeah, it is quite a toxic dynamic between these two because despite Beqqo trying to see the good and take care of Maegor (like if he not had several wives and servants to do so), he oftenly gets kicked and mistreated by Maegor but soon Maegor is like "Nooooo you are my only true friend in this :((( please don't leave me and return to Essos you are so sexy haha" and Beqqo falls for it every single time and stays. Of course, he never returns to essos, not even after Maegor's death

-ALSO he was my first ever OC of ASOIAF, and he is not just really important to me as a character that i made up, but because he began to trully take form when i leaved my parent's home for uni in other state. It is literally all the embodiement of bad things i tought that could happen to me without the protections of my parents being alone in other state

-I have changed the way he meets Maegor at least four times. First he was a slave Maegor meet in Pentos, then he was a Jester under the faiths armies that was sent to end Maegor's reign, then he came to the red keep thinking he might be under Aenys reign but he ended up on Maegor's reign,and now, Maegor and Alys met him in Pentos as he got free pass from his family to roam essos and ended up being their friend.

Since these are the finals I'm going to be honest with you: don't vote for Jaskier. He never should've made it this far. If you do vote for him, I will not write a new fic, but rather go back and finish a half chapter that's been sitting in my drafts for a year and change. 1. Haikyuu — A Sage of Love and Legend; Loved this series so much!! The fact it has some of my favourite tropes plus fantasy au!? Sign me the fck up. I loved it so much, i like read it all within a couple days 😭. It also 100% inspired me to write my own haikyuu fic which is just sitting in my drafts since like 2020 💀 but definitely favourite story

2. Haikyuu — but for me, there is a storm; god such a beautiful fic. I love haikyuu and i love pacific rim. Together? BEAUTIFUL SHIT. Loved it so much, can only wish there was more.

3. My Hero Academia — A Study In Deceit; I love literally everything by mentallypapaya, my favourite mha fic on ao3. Their shit is the funniest ever and this is one of their amazing aizng works. Especially since it’s like a sort of au of Sherlock. Definitely one of my favs and i love every update it gets!!

In honour of getting though Witcher season 3 I would like to share with you my thought process while watching this show, not that anyone asked. Can you tell Jaskier is my fav?

Season 1

Me, seeing Jaskier for the first time: a baby! Must protect, already fave.

Me throughout the season: How are you still alive? And how are you not aging?

Me still at season one going through social media: oh, so you don't like Jaskier, huh? Square up bitch cos I'm coming for your ass. Also why the hell is he called Dandelion? Jaskier is a buttercup not a dandelion? Dandelion would be so fucking funny though [image of Sid and last dandelion of season vivid in my mind]

Me still on season one: ok I know we NEED to normalise closeness between two male friends but that's definitely gay, right? Like Jaskier just readies such dumbass bisexual energy and he so clearly is in love with Geralt

Me, during the mountain scene: Bitch, bitch, bitch how dare you [actually insert the Jaskier HOW DARE YOU picture] actually stops watching the show for like a week

Season 2

Me, immediately at the beginning: where's Jaskier? Where's my man? My child? Where's that idiot?

Me, after I see Jaskier: what have they DONE to you? But the songs absolutely slaps (talking about the whore song that was so funny)

The apology scene: Nope, nope, sir that's the most half assed apology I've ever seen

Overall season two: yes, yes serious matters and Jaskier is a comic relief but could you just try to give him some more screen time like bitch he's trying his best, he risks his life, he does some good, he loves Ciri and Geralt just fucking appreciate him! I know it ain't about him but for being Geralts friend for so fucking long I think he deserves some appreciation for his accomplishments from others characters, even a little

Season 3

Sees trailer: "Dear friend.." ahaha that's for Jaskier for sure! [Sees a blur of him] oh thank god he's in here!

Me, after seeing Jaskier: oh, god oh no. Why, why, WHY?! WHO they fuck took the game design?! Put it back I say PUT IT BACK!!!

Me seeing Radowid: *squints as he praises Jaskier, clearly flirts with him and actually appreciates him UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE* I want to trust you but that would be a mistake

Me, throughout the season: ah, so you finally admit that Jaskier is in love with Geralt who somewhat patched things up with Yen so you give Jaskier a new love interest, who is a man [icarly interesting image]

(listen I loved them this season but it felt like a weird sudden jump in their relationship and idk, by this season rocked I just wished they included Jaskier more and if canonicaly were not getting Graskier then fucking give him some screen time as a part of a family! He's great with Ciri!)

Also that Valdo scene was fucking HILARIOUS

Me when, suprise, suprise Radowid did a backflip: I knew it, why am I surprised, I knew it. Jaskier why do you have a TYPE?!

Final thoughts: Jaskier fits perfectly into their witcher family dynamics just give him more screen time! Please! also very curious about Radowid redemption arc although I'm not ready to let go yet, and also may I add the music, fantastic, don't care if it's periodic or not Joey my man you killed it.

It's clear that Jaskier has a type for like unrequited/getting hurt type of love or the writers just love whumping him which like fine but then make it fucking seen like by others? It takes a fucking plot device character in SEASON 3 to see it? like give me some fucking comfort as well you assholes.

Also super weird that they went with the game design and gradually changed it simultaneously ageing Jaskier. I mean why now? He hasn't aged in like a decade and then he suddenly did? Just keep him immortal will you?

Idk it's chaotic lads cos I just finished it and I think I've seen season 1 most times and the rest kinda blurs together so

Trying to organize my ask notebook better since I've run out of space under general fandom asks and I would like to know what fandoms you are in so I can ask the correct people about the correct fandoms.

I think my main ones are Bagginshield/The Hobbit, Sherlock/Johnlock, Dragon Age Inquisition, {Pippin/Faramir Merry/Eowyn}/The Lord of the Rings and I dip my toes in a few that I currently can't remember but ones I don't engage in canon at all are Good Omens but only for Crowley/Azirapheal ship, Stranger Things but only for Steve/Eddie ship, The Witcher but only for Geralt/Jaskier things and Ladybug and Cat Noir but only for Adrinette .

Also do you like getting asks that are or include story ideas or snippets?

Oh, that really depends, where my interests shifted towards. Mainly I can't keep up with more than two or three fandoms simultaneously. There are lots of fandoms that I enjoy, but don't engage in right now. For example The Lord of the Rings, Supernatural, Sherlock, Stranger Things even Star Wars, X-Men and such. I've become a little reluctant about The Hobbit, because despite being very active in the fandom for several years, those years were not good mental health-wise, which is why I don't try to interact anymore and even contemplate orphaning all my works, I'm just still a little attached to some of those stories, but maybe one day I can do a clean break. ^^"

Right now I'm mostly reading and writing for the JJK fandom, but I always go back to franchises like Digimon, because I loved it growing up and I still admire it because it tackles matures themes. I'm also hopping around in fandoms of video games, like Final Fantasy 7 or 16 and currently Life is Strange is very high on my list again, due to the new game. And don't let me get started on books like the Hunger Games series or Inkworld. I'm very versitale when it comes to fandoms.

I usually don't only enage in a fandom for a ship, because what draws me to a fandom is the world and it's characters. Of course I still have my favs, but I'm kinda here for the package deal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ok so here are my thoughts on day 3 - honestly it wasn't a particularly eventful day. All of the people who followed me yesterday voted and supported Jaskier, so he unjustly won - obviously this is Tumblr and people are going to vote for their fav, but this was conceived first and foremost as a bracket for MY followers, who I KNOW are mostly superhero fans, except for everyone who followed me because of yesterday's post... Also, not cool to claim bi representation from a character I literally in the post say is only implied subtext at best when it's compared to a canon pansexual man who's dating a non-binary character but whatever. Technically everyone followed the rules, I'm just disappointed.

Penny-anna's reblogs did change the tide mid-day, making it so Lois Lane won over Murderdock who had the lead up until that point.

Everything else was to be expected. Spider-Gwen and Spider-Man are about to face each other, so I guess we'll see if my followers side with one of the most popular characters of all time or with his newer, cooler feminist critique (I know what I'm voting for!). And we have both of penny-anna's blorbos facing up against each other - I wonder which one will end up winning out?
