1945 03 Lavochkin La-5 FN Pavel Bryzgalov - Jaroslav Velc
Hero of the Soviet Union, Captain Ivan Nikitovich Kozhedub at the La-5FN fighter, built at the expense of beekeeper V. V. Konev of the collective farmer "Bolshevik" of the Budarinsky district of the Stalingrad region.V. V. Konev, transferring his savings to the Defense Fund, asked to build an airplane named after his nephew, fighter pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union Georgy Nikolaevich Konev, who died on December 30, 1942. Therefore, in addition to the inscription on the right side of the plane — "From the collective farmer Konev Vasily Viktorovich", on the left side there was an inscription "Named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Lieutenant Colonel Konev".The aircraft was handed over to Ivan Kozhedub in May 1944. On it, he shot down 8 enemy aircraft. After Kozhedub was transferred to another unit, first Kirill Evstigneev flew this aircraft, and then Pavel Bryzgalov, who won 12 victories on this aircraft and by the end of the war received the title Hero of the Soviet Union.

1943 08 01 Ploesti, B-24D Liberator Wongo Wongo - Jaroslav Velc
On August 1, 1943, the Allies launched Operation Tidal Wave - a strategic bombing mission over Nazi-occupied territory. A total of 176 B-24 Liberators set out to attack oil refineries at Ploesti, Romania, with an impressive 167 (or 94%) of them hitting their target! Unfortunately, however, 54 of these aircraft were lost over Ploesti, and another three at sea. One devastating loss included a B-24D nicknamed "Wongo Wongo," which lost control and crashed into the Mediterranean on its way to the oil refineries, killing all 10 crewmen, brave members of the 512th Bomber Squadron.

1945 05 04 Hawker Tempest Mk.V 3 Sqn Pierre Clostermann - Jaroslav Velc
Not an accurate portrayal of Clostermann last combat, destroyer Z37 was destroyed in Bordeaux, and Clostermann didn't shoot down a Blohm und Voss seaplane but strafed it
