#you can ALWAYS trust alan silvestri's music to be mid. occasionally he'll have a good score. Occasionally.#hans zimmer is endlessly hyped up but he does in fact deserve the hype. he IS that good.#john paesano can also be trusted to have some good music. he hasn't failed me yet.#james newton howard also hasn't failed me yet. nor has steve jablonsky. who is the transformers franchise's one saving grace#ludwig goransson is a relatively new name but he's done really great work. he has a very unique sound (appreciative)#henry jackman is usually kind of mid BUT he does have quite a few very well done ones.#and even his ''mid'' isnt like silvestri's its actually still enjoyablg to listen to even if its not like. groundbreaking#whereas silvestri's music is just. meh.#john williams is of course iconic. too many trumpets for my personal taste but thats just me#michael giacchino is good. alexandre desplat is good. sarah schnachner is VERY good.#i need to find more female composers on god. its such a male dominated industry but i know theyre out there....i will find them....#and i am always down to look into less well known composers. always#winter speaks#orchestral music tag
